Family‑owned and certified in true Neapolitan technique, Cavalli fires blistered pies in a 900‑degree oven. Its McKinney outpost keeps the Adriatica area stocked with Margheritas, arugula‑prosciutto pies, and house‑made mozzarella, routinely cited by local guides.

Google
A great place for casual dinner!! As first timers, we ordered an app (focaccia), a pizza (margherita extra), and a pasta (cacio e pepe). Service was impeccable, our server was ON IT and so attentive throughout our entire meal. And the focaccia and pizza were DELICIOUS. They did not skimp on the cheese and it was hot and ready to go. However, the only tiny critique we had was of the cacio e pepe. It was a whole LOT of pepper and barely any cheese; it was more of a water & pepper pasta, which was so unfortunate. For that reason alone, we’d give this place a 4.5 out of 5 stars. But everything else was AMAZING and we will definitely be coming back!!! It’s our new favorite pizza place.

Google
I haven’t been here in years. But one of my doctors is now just a bit down the road. OMG I wish we had a place like this close to me in Aubrey, but I will say that every single time I am scheduled with my neurologist, which unfortunately is often. I will come here. Bed food, best pizza, best staff. Just completely wonderful. I’m so happy and thankful that they are still here and better than ever!

Google
Food was so so delicious! Sangria is fresh made in-house! Our waiter, Marcus was great and gave us wonderful customer service! We’ll be back! Highly recommend: Meat Trio pizza Caesar salad Caprese Salad Lasagna

Google
Cavalli’s Napoletana Pizza delivered a flavorful experience. The Smoky Chicken Pizza had a rich, charred taste with a nice balance of smoky and savory. The Gardina Pizza brought a fresh, veggie-forward contrast. Fettuccine Alfredo was creamy and satisfying, complementing the pizzas well. The Lemon Drop Martini added a zesty kick, refreshing and sharp. Finished with a classic Tiramisu—light, sweet, and the perfect end to the meal. Great variety, solid flavors, and a well-rounded Italian dining experience.

Google
Great authentic Neapolitan style pizza.. Having spent time in Italy.. I can safely say this is the real deal! Staff was great and food was delivered fresh and incredibly fast! I ordered the three meat pizza and added fresh tomatoes and mushrooms... The vino, Idi Di Marzo was an excellent pairing!

The best risotto I have ever eaten in my life. If you eat the donut, your life will never be the same.

Google
This was my first time to Cavalli’s and I loved it!! The bruschetta was AMAZING… especially with the fun patio vibes!

Google
Love this place! Luke- awesome waiter 👐 Jalapeño Artichoke Dip was phenomenal! Ordered the wedge salad, build your own pizza and zeppolle. All were great. Loved the Smoked Pecan Old Fashioned. Will definitely be a returning customer!

Yelp
Potentially closed? Management please update google and Yelp. Love your pizza but not the drive up to find you closed!

Yelp
Wonderful discovery of this amazing place! We are always looking for wood oven pizza and it is a beautiful display across from where we sat. The entire space is beautifully located, cozy and quiet with warm and inviting staff. The food was top notch and I would probably come every day for the Legend if we didn't live over 2 1/2 hours away but we will definitely make a stop every time we are in this vicinity.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza! The ambiance is a nice yet casual vibe. The service was as expected, which sums up my opinion on the place: solid but nothing extremely noteworthy.

Yelp
Hands down, the best pizza I have had in DFW! What a gem! Even had a guitarist playing mellow songs from 60's, 70's and 80's. We went on a Sunday. If you love pizza cooked in a brick oven, you will love this. The dough had a good flavor all by itself. Fresh ingredients with what looked liked fresh mozzarella cheese! Their dessert pizzas were great too!

Yelp
It was average quick fired pizza nothing special but good for a bite! It wasn't bad but wasn't the best
google avatar

Yelp
Decent pizza place. Lots of good options for toppings. Next time I'd try the Dallas instead of the meat trio. Just don't have as much flavor as I would have wanted, but the dough itself was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their food though and the service was nice.

Yelp
If you're looking for real Italian food, I highly recommend this place. Great service, fast seating & the pasta/appetizers are amazing. Beware! It does get packed on the weekends, so plan ahead.

Yelp
Cavalli pizza has very authentic wood fired pizza. We got calamari to start and we ordered The Dallas and Il Roberto for our pizzas. The pizzas were very thin, crispy, and flavorful. I liked the flavor that the pesto added to the Il Roberto pizza.

Yelp
Fellas this is chick food for pizza. We left hungry. My son ordered fettuccine Alfredo. It came in a cereal size bowl and it was only filled halfway. I asked the waiter if we had mistakenly ordered the child's size. We didn't, they just served him one and half cups of noodles and charged us $15. The pizza and food was good It's just pricey for what you get. If I would have known I needed to order a full size pizza I would have done so. The table was wobbly and the live music was very loud. Wanted to like this place. Not sure if we will come back.

Yelp
All about the crust so if that's true for you...Crust is Fabulous.... From a Jersey Girl.... Sauce is not too sweet-great balance

Yelp
Amazing pizza! Great food! I love this place! Highly recommend! I've had pizza in Italy so wanted pizza resembling what I had there. This place nailed it! Fantastic!
google avatar

Yelp
Neapolitan brick oven pizza. Fun, chewy crust. Nice variety of toppings, and other menu items. Very hearty pizza, enough for two. Because the pizzas bake so fast, this is actually a great choice for lunch. Glad I came here.

Marie S.

Yelp
Love their fire oven pizza. Salads are overpriced but good. Take out order times aren't accurate. It's difficult to know what time to leave for pick up with their website but I now just wait in the parking lot.
google avatar

Kyle J.

Yelp
Stood at the front of the restaurant to be seated for ten minutes. Literally no acknowledgment from any of the employees while they were going back and forth. Can't speak to the food, but if service is that bad, I can make assumptions.

Tee A.

Yelp
This is my favorite pizza spot in McKinney. Go for their Margarita. Mark and staff are excellent and attentive. Go for a walk around the Adriatica pond afterwards.

Laura M.

Yelp
Excellent authentic pizza!! Fresh ingredients, always fast service too. So easy to pick up for dinner at the last minute. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
We place the order, no one from the restaurant or the website notifies that the order has been cancelled due to time, which mind you is still 45 mins before close. My pregnant wife drives all the way up there only to be turned away. No apology, whoever was working just looks dumb in the face like he's confused why she's even there. Never tried the place and more than likely never will with that kind of service. They're blessed I wasn't the one picking the food up. Do better.

Jenae V.

Yelp
Marcus our waiter is amazing! This place is so busy and he has been amazing! Great food! Exceptional service!! Leaving very happy!

Yelp
Delicious food! My family and I went on a Saturday evening and got sat right away, no long wait. The food was truly authentic and the perfect combination of flavor and quality! The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly!
google avatar

Marlon M.

Yelp
The pizza is really good, I like the location, the interiors can use some updating and seems a little unclean but not dirty. Wine is a little expensive per glass but it's a good pizza to pick up and bring home when you want a quality pizza vs box store.
google avatar

Yelp
I had an amazing experience eating here! I've been to Italy multiple times and this pizza was legitimately delicious. I had the Caesar salad, the margarita pizza, and the McKinney pizza. All were delicious! I will be back. I highly recommend this place for some authentic Italian pizza. Great atmosphere and our service was 6 stars not 5! Truly good service.

Yelp
Decided to give Cavalli Pizza a try as we had heard good things about it. We arrived on a Friday evening and the place was 3/4 full and buzzing so things looked promising. Got a table outside only to be disappointed that some of those at the table were looking at the back entrance to the kitchen and dumpsters. Ordered drinks and some calamari to start off with. Calamari was good, tasted fresh and not rubbery. Liked the fact that they were baby calamari. Breading was a little on the thick side and flavor of the marinara was nice. We had 2 pizza's as that is what they are known for according to our waiter. All in all the pizzas were tasty, good flavor and pleasant to see the amount of tomato base was kept in check. However the dough, which was baked well and I love the air pockets and all. But I did find it a little on the chewy side. Not a pad place to go to but some things could be a touch better.

Yelp
I've been here twice but never took the time to review. I've been looking for a good brick oven Neapolitan pizza joint in McKinney. The ambience is nice and the service I had very good. When my choice of pizzas arrived, both times mind you, I said to myself this is what pizza and noodles are like. The crust...wet noodle throughout most of the pie. The parts not wet noodle, burned. I haven't been back since. What would the point of that be. If other's pizza has been better, congratulations. Still looking for a good brick oven place. It sucks when you're a foodie you're disappointed. It might as well have been a pizza burrito. Hmmm. Not a bad idea, that.

Hady M.

Yelp
Way over priced, the pizza have too little toppings for what they charge and not great taste $25 for large pizza
google avatar

Yelp
Seated right away shortly after opening on a Saturday. Host and waiter were both super friendly, gave great recommendations and got our drinks quickly. We ended up with the artichoke dip and arancini for starters and took his suggestion of the white sangria. Affordable kids menu as well! Everything was fresh and delicious. They explain the pizza baking process (sorry I forgot the steps) and the dough was cooked perfectly. Overall it was perfect for our family of 4

Yelp
The pizza is very good!!! The service of our large party lunch was also very good. However, I learned about this place from a women's group. We had a lunch there, they had us in their private room, it was a lovely first impression. Fast forward a few months, we had a standing bookclub meeting there, last month they randomly closed and didn't even notify our group of this unexpected closure. I completely understand things happen but I also think it's a huge oversight on management not to notify patrons who having a standing meeting there not to mention a high food minimum on the group.

Yelp
You can always rely on The Cavalli experience to be awesome! Food and service are spot on, we love dining on the patio when possible
google avatar

Gabriel Alexander H.

Yelp
My man Marcus killed it! We walked in after having waited over an hour at Zin Zan for service, told the friendly and professional host that we were in a hurry. My guy Marcus greeted us within a few seconds of seating, let us know what was the fastest option for food and gave us some banger recommendations we took advantage of. The pizza was insanely good, my wife doesn't even like pizza and she was impressed. Took probably 3 minutes to arrive at the table after ordering it, the sauce was unbeatable and the mozzarella is made in house. The ambiance was cool too! We sat on the patio but we passed the kitchen on the way out, looks like those fellas know what they're doing. 11/10, I'll be back for sure! Proper pizza with proper service.

Yelp
A great Neapolitan pizza joint that feels very cozy and people are nice. We have been coming here every other week for dinner or lunch and we like it here. Some improvements needed though. Better mozzarella for caprese salad. And maybe some happy hour specials. Other than that, this place is amazing. Oh, their calamari is amazing. Definitely worth a try.
google avatar

Abby S.

Yelp
Food is always great from here! Their bruschetta is one of my favorites- even when we order takeout it's always so fresh!
google avatar

Diane P.

Yelp
First things first, our server, I couldn't catch his name, but my boyfriend and I both thought he was the owner because he loved the place and gave us the best suggestions on the menu! He was quick with the refills too! The place is warm, and you can watch the pizzas be made with the huge pizza oven, there's also an area for the secluded folks, which was nice. The food was amazing!!! The pizza ingredients aren't overwhelming, ever flavor compliments each other. The calamari was fresh, crunchy, and also chewy which is what I always look for in calamari. I shared the tiramisu with my boyfriend, the texture was amazing! Soft, airy, the chocolate/nutella spread was an amazing add-on, 10/10. I look forward to coming here again.

Yelp
My husband and I came in the late afternoon on a Saturday. It didn't look busy, but we were fine waiting. But we stood by the door for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement. Several staff walked right by us giving no indication they saw us standing there. It's not like this is a big space. After being blatantly ignored, we walked out. It's a shame because this place looked great.

Roger V.

Yelp
My family and I love this place. The best bruschetta I have ever had. Also great location and great service.

Yelp
Our favorite pizza in the US! The ingredients are exquisite! Reminds us of true Napoli style pizza from Italy. Yum! We are so lucky to have it close to home.

Yelp
I love Cavalli's Neapolitan-style wood-fired margherita pizza. I used to go to the now closed Irving branch before it closed. After feeling a big craving, I drove 45 minutes to get here. We were so hungry, I ordered on the phone so it'd be ready when we got there but was told on the phone that we can't dine in because we didn't order when physically in the brick and mortar store. What a bizarre policy... I said, "Fine, we'll just eat outside," which we did on the uncomfortable sidewalk. All that drive for this seems like a slap in the face. Don't get me wrong. The pizza tastes and looks great with simple and high-quality ingredients, but the service left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm going to search for a closer option that has more consideration for its guests.

Yelp
We went back last Sunday evening after Mass. This time we sat at the bar. We are usually bar sitters when it's just the 2 of us! We loved the bartender, Marcus! He was attentive, but didn't hover. He paid attention to everything! We ordered 2 pizzas this time and loved them both. We brought the leftovers home! My hubby had Chianti and I had the sangria again. Both were delicious. My favorite thing of this visit, beside Marcus, was the cannoli! I'm a cannoli snob. Most of the time the filling is gritty. This filling was smooth and absolutely delicious. Oh and it wasn't as loud this visit. Maybe it was just the crowd the first time. We plan to keep going back!

Yelp
I'm writing this review a bit later than my experience here over the summer, but I still remember how charming it was and how great the food was. This pizza is some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. It's so good. It's worth the trip out here. The crust is fantastic; it is crunchy yet doughy. The cheese is perfect and I loved the fresh basil. We also got the focaccia bread as an appetizer which came with cheese and rosemary on top. It also had a side of marinara sauce, which I thoroughly enjoyed with the bread. If you can, try to save room for the bread. You won't regret it! It's just as delicious as the pizza. This little pizzeria is firstly, so cute inside. I remember there was a wall mural and you can see the kitchen where they make the pizzas. It had such a cozy feeling. Secondly, it fits well with the cute area of McKinney which has European style apartments and buildings.

Eric S.

Yelp
Hands-down, the best pizza in Collin County. It's a cute little restaurant perfect for a date night. The service is great, and the food comes out very quickly.

Yelp
Growing up in then New York City area, I've been disappointed by the pizza here in Texas. Cavalli's is the best I've found. Delicious, quality toppings, perfectly-cooked crust (as long as you can stand it a little floppy/soft in the middle). Delicious. We usually get take-out from here, and service is quick and polite.

Lois N.

Yelp
Everything was just OK So I do not highly recommend BUT for a kids pizza night its ok

Yelp
Decided to try this place because it's been on our list a while and what better to do on a Tuesday night than try a new place? We started off with the Mozzarella Fritta and Arancini for appetizers. We couldn't decide so ordered both. The fried mozzarella was delicious and the marinara was full of flavor and nice and light, not heavy. The Arancini was delicious too but seemed to be la king something, I think some ran h would have been great with it but was afraid to ask because I didn't want to insult by asking for ranch. Maybe if there was more of the green sauce that came on them that would have been that missing addition. For our meal we decided on a Pizza, The McKinney...Salamino, Hot Capicolla, Italian Sausage and Basil, also fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce. This thing was amazing!!! We loved the thin crust and how it wasn't crispy like a cracker. The pizza was 6 slices, we each had 2 and were stuffed. If we hadn't gotten the appetizers we probably could have finished it off. For drinks I had a beer and my wife had a margaritas, the marg was delicious!!! I'd recommend this place and we plan on going back, putting this in our rotation of pizza joints.

Yelp
Oh, my gosh. This place is WORTH the drive. First: everyone was masked, all things were clean and carefully spaced, and there is no in-house dining. Second: we tried a house-made soda on a whim, and WOW. Wwwwwow. Third: this food is fantastic. The pizza is absolutely delicious, and that house-made mozzarella is just sweet. The calamari is lso good - lovely breading, nice and crisp,. perfectly prepared. We live in Plano, but we will be back here, believe you me. Legit the first pizza I've had that reminds me of Seattle.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a little and very cozy restaurant that accommodated some special dietary needs at our request. The chef was very sincere and make two dishes gluten and dairy free to meet the needs of two people in the party. The items weren't on the menu and they went out of their way. There was a good selection of wine and beer. We enjoyed pizza, chicken cacciatore, chicken Marsala, and gluten free pasta marinara. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was lovely. What a great little spot!!
google avatar

Gar S.

Yelp
Wow, very disappointing. Expected much better than this. We ordered a pizza for pick up and got a soggy mess. The pizza was burned on the bottom and soggy on top (see pictures). When I picked up a slice, the toppings would slide off and the pizza was soft and chewy. Also, it looked like the pizza was thrown in the box and they missed. Very sad.

Sai T.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best brick oven pizzas I've tried recently! I had the Texas Heat pizza, which had a smoky flavor and was absolutely delicious.

Yelp
Best Napoletana pizza in Dallas. We started with a delicious Burrata, Prosciutto and Arugula appetizer, marinated olives with garlic, rosemary and olive oil. Great pallet cleanser. Finished with Arugula & Prosciutto (No Sauce), house made mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto di Parma, balsamic glaze, shaved parmigiano & took the La Capicola home. house made mozzarella, San Marzano tomato sauce, basil, garlic, hot capicolla, sweet roasted mini peppers, smoked mozzarella Totally great food, great smells from the kitchen and so Completely Satisfying.

Yelp
Love this place! The food is good & we always get great service. We try to visit about once a week & it's always a wonderful experience.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! We ordered a four cheese and pepperoni pizza and short rib ravioli. Best pizza ever! The ingredients were top notch. Ravioli was beyond exquisite. Just a very rich velvety sauce. I highly recommend this place. Great service. Simple, good decor. I will be back for sure.

Yelp
I love the location, and the food is delicious. I recommend the jalapeño artichoke dip! The only downside is the restaurant is very crammed, not necessarily great for bigger parties (6+). The staff here is 3/5.
