Deli style sandwich shop with nice seating area in a courtyard, on a balcony overlooking the street and inside above the store. Convenient location right across the street from the Medical Center. Highly recommended.

First time dropping by this location. Very much more of a neighborhood spot/hub for medicial students than the location downtown, customers and staff very familiar with one another. Line was pouring out of the restaurant, but we made it to the counter and left with our food in the span of 15-20 minutes. Employees at the register, and behind the bar very knowledgeable about items and answered all allergy questions! . Definitely going back to try more next time we are in the area

This group is amazing! I can ALWAYS depend on quality food, timely delivery and above and beyond exceptional customer service. I never hesitate to contact them when I have an event.

I've had to come to Charleston to the hospital a few times and the name caught my attention so this previous time my MIL and I stopped in and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly even though they were busy. The place is super cute. And I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious the food was. I had the Fiesty Feather and I would highly recommend.

The food was really good and the service was amazing and fast. The food was made in house and fresh. Highly recommend sunrise sandwich as a breakfast option and ginger tea as a beverage.

I enjoyed my food, it all came out very fresh! The pasta salad was quite tasty but man it was expensive for what you got. 40$ on lunch for two people for 2 sandwiches/wraps with a small side of pasta salad and two cookies came to 40 bucks. Everything tasted good, service was quick for how busy they are!

Not as big as the downtown location. More an in and out café. Get there early, baked goods sell out pretty quick. Barren when I went there. Line can be lengthy pending time you go there.

Good for a quick lunch or breakfast. Nice shady patio, dog friendly. I had a cappuccino and bagel - both tasty and served promptly by friendly staff. Doing very well for a recently opened location.

This cafe is conveniently located near MUSC. The coffee (drip) with SF caramel was very good, it was a nice quality brew, smooth and full bodied. My bagel was soooo good, I could not quite finish it as the portion size was generous. I really enjoyed the roasted veggie cream cheese as well. Their simple breakfast was a nice way to kick off my morning. They also sell scones, muffins, breakfast sandwiches and a variety of espresso beverages.

Ok, I didn't actually enter Caviar & Bananas. I'm in a wheelchair, and the step up prevented my access. But some friendly folk outside offered to run in for me, and so I did sample their black coffee, which was delicious. I peeked in the window, and the place was lively. Patrons were coming and going, some sitting at high tops, and it looked like Caviar & Bananas had a nice selection of drinks and snacks. So, oddly, this is the first review I've written about a place I didn't really visit. But I think you should!

This spot was very close to our airbnb so we figured we would stop in for some light breakfast before heading out on our excursions. While I like checking yelp for good recommendations I had no idea we would adore this place so much! It's a small spot either on or near the local collage and it's got a cool industrial vibe inside. But the most important part I know is the food. My mom got the breakfast burrito which she ADORED and absolutely raved over. And I got a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese and it was amazing. The blueberry bagel had a sprinkle of cane sugar on it and the cream cheese was great, together it tasted like Fruity Pebbles. We are definitely heading back again.

Food was excellent. I didn't go inside because it was delivered but my toasted sandwich and chips was great. It was fresh and an excellent portion size. I will go back.

I hadn't been to this location of C&B yet and kinda forgot that they took over Halo's old spot across the street from MUSC. I had an appointment down that way so we walked over for a late lunch. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside on the patio after ordering and they brought out our sandwiches. I started with an iced mocha and we got a couple sides to share. Surprisingly, I liked the pasta salad more than the elote. For my sandwich I had the Aztec because I read the description and liked everything about it. This is a great lunch spot downtown, but I get it gets pretty busy at lunch time.

I stop here so much it is unhealthy. It is very convenient to work, the staff know me by name, most know my order already, and even being a chain, it doesn't feel like it here. The food is always tasty and the coffee always hits the spot. It gets busy sometimes, but they do their absolute best to make sure you are taken care of and try to maintain a clean place where you can stay and eat/drink if you please. I always have to take mine to go, but this will continue to be my main morning coffee stop as long as they continue to be the friendly crew we have grown to love!

Love, love, love. Our dental office orders delivery from here quite often. The food is ALWAYS delicious and arrives promptly. If anything has ever not been right, it is almost always because WE placed the order wrong but they are quick to make it right and the manager is amazing!! HIGHLY recommend this location and you can't go wrong with the food! We especially love the feisty feather, the Aztec and the Gramercy salad!

I am so happy they are here!!! I went in today a couple of days after they opened and had a cup of soup (curried vegetable) and a side salad (Brussel sprout quinoa) with a side of sliced baguette. I ordered it to go and ate it at my desk, although this is definitely a place I would have wanted to linger if I could have. The soup was chuck full of veggies like garbanzo beans, peppers, potatoes, and tomatoes. It was also really well flavored and comfort food to the max (while still being healthy- the BEST). The salad was a perfect accompaniment (I pulled it out of the refrigerated case and added it to my order after the fact). It had currants and I think a touch of blue cheese maybe? The ingredients don't list that so it must be something else. Tahini is on the list- that makes everything better. The soup also has summer squash in it. So so good! I will for sure be back again and again- and I will be bringing my friends.

Great coffee shop to check out! They only have two indoor tables so it's designed for grab and go. Coffee is fantastic and fresh, food is amazing and the service is friendly and efficient. They have lots of grab and go items for you as well as made to order food. Prices are reasonable for quality of food. Try the avocado toast and breakfast burritos! They did not disappoint.

I don't write reviews. Good or bad, I've never felt compelled to take the time. Mainly because I don't think one man's opinion is worth the paper it's written on. (Joke is here if you get it.) My wife and I stopped in Caviar & Bananas for the first time this morning. They got my order wrong. It happens from time to time. They handled the situation the best possible way. I interacted with three members of the team. All were courteous, concerned, and pleasant. Service was stellar. The food delicious. If you've taken the time to read this review, take the opportunity to visit Caviar & Bananas at 170 Ashley Ave.

Caviar & Bananas is the perfect place to go for a delicious breakfast when visiting or living in Charleston. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Recently I noticed the A/C was not working. I asked a worker and a timeframe to fix is not given. I am asking the powers to be to please fix your A/C for the health of your beloved workers especially!

Newly opened and renovated! What they have done with the space is great. Opening up the downstairs with light colors and clean surfaces really is an improvement from the last business (less stuffy). It also appears that there is now seating upstairs as well as on the porch upstairs, which is a nice addition. They offer coffee, teas, sandwiches, and salads just like the previous establishment. I only had coffee on this visit, but am eager to return to try some of their other menu options! Also, within walking distance of MUSC and surrounding areas.

Still love this place, I ordered online because I was super busy at work, my order was done early! The sandwiches are always fantastic, I would like to try the coffees, but tend to bring my own from home. I will keep coming back!

I came here for lunch today, and it is a new hub for MUSC staff and students. This new location seems to keep busy and do well with the line. Even though there were a lot of people inside, I still managed to get my food quickly and the line went quick as well. The staff seem to be super good. I ordered the feisty feather sandwich. I wished the roasted chili aioli had more of a kick to it and there was more Gouda cheese on it; overall I was happy with my warm pressed sandwich. I wish they had small cheap sides to go with the sandwich like chips, pasta salad or something, but most of the sides I saw were pretty expensive and too big for what I wanted. I love how bright and friendly the space felt. I will definitely be returning.

Really nice staff! Great espresso and they sell Ruby's bagels (a major plus). They even had interesting cream cheese, like a herbed lemon

My favorite coffee shop to walk to. Can get busy and it's a small interior but they are quick. Their ice chai tea latte is my favorite- lots of spices. Their hibiscus tea was refreshing. Their prices are reasonable. They have a grab and go fridge of food items or a menu for breakfast & sandwiches. Their breakfast burrito is different but very good.

That's one expensive baguette sandwich! It was delicious but there's a service charge for a cc and then adding a tip for take out. One roast beef sandwich was $17. 4 stars for the taste.

Stopped in to grab something quick for breakfast before a dr. appointment. Ordered an iced vanilla oat milk latte and a sun dried tomato Asiago bagel with cream cheese. Both items came out fast and were delicious! Staff was very friendly and the place was super cute!
