"Caya isn’t just cool for Goleta, it’s cool period. With seasonal all-day menus that lean into fruit and veg, expect something snackable and shareable for all — plus cocktails, which is always a good thing." - Farley Elliott

Well, that’s was disappointing. Everyone who works here is completely miserable. I think they have a slightly toxic culture going on. The food was OK, but it certainly wasn’t a fun place to dine. We ordered the short rib mac & cheese, and one of the burrata pastas. Both were acceptable, but we really could’ve used that extra kick that sometimes comes with them. Our waiter was very unhappy and not friendly at all. And took forever to take our order, get our order, and then we had to ask for someone to help us get the check so we could get out of there. And it took him forever to bring back our change. Would not recommend this place anytime soon. Maybe if they get some new staff it would be OK.

Review is for the bar only. Nice and cozy outdoor space for drinks. Part of The Leta hotel

Had vouchers from hotel for breakfast. Overall, food was very good. Portions are very large. I recommend the farmer bowl, which came with nicely roasted root vegetables and a wonderful slightly sweet sauce. The steak chilaquiles are also very good. Staff are very friendly.

Great food, and cool atmosphere. My only critiques would be service, and cleanliness. 1st the server said he would bring another chair and forgot. 2nd two different servers brought lemon and lime garnishes to the table with their bare hands. Additionally, the bathrooms near the front desk needed servicing, and there is an accumulation of dust on all of their cute bojo decorations.

Update: March 2023 We were a party of 4 and ate here before. We ordered spring rolls for appetizers to share. The spring rolls for $18 was pathetic. It was only 2 small pieces cut in 4 pieces and the server did not even give us small plates to put our food on. The menu did not have the pork chops that I enjoyed the last time which was disappointing. The most disappointing experience was when our food orders came from another server & my order was wrong. It took a while for our first server to come back & apologized to say that the kitchen staff got the orders mixed up. I ordered roasted seabass which I thought should not have taken time to make. Everyone finished their meals when my order finally came and it was another person who we thought was the manager who delivered it. By that time, I was STARVING and very annoyed. The restaurant does not provide bread nor was there an offer of compensation like a free appetizer or discount on the meal. I rarely give a 1 star rating but they need to get the message that this service for how expensive the meals are is unacceptable. Review 7 months ago when I gave them a 5 star We were a party of 7 and we wanted to take my mother-in-law out for dinner. This was my first time eating here. The ambiance of the hotel and restaurant was very nice. There was a singer playing guitar and he was good. Our server was attentive. We enjoyed our delicious dinners including the Brussels sprouts appetizers & dessert. My mother-in-law was very satisfied with her fish tacos, which was great.

This was a pleasant surprise. I came in for a snack and a beer before dinner but ended up getting The Best Espresso Martini of my life and an amazing tri tip sandwich! Every once in a while, "bar food" and drinks will be so impressive that you are seriously in awe...like wait where am I? 🤩😋 and the service! 5 stars too! Seneca was on fire, a true mixologist who made me the beautiful, perfect Espresso Martini. If you're in the area or anywhere close, it's worth a stop.

Nice cafe at a quaint hotel. We were traveling to SLO, and were glad we stopped. Skipped coffee (we made and took some for the car ride) so can't comment on the 'joe. He ordered the Denver omelette with fruit, I got the quiche of the day (spinach and something else. I honestly forget) with potatoes (with micro cilantro-a nice touch). Both dishes arrived hot and nicely plated. He really liked the omelette- nice sized, and the fruit was very fresh. I don't usually order quiche cuz it can be heavy, but this one wasn't! The eggs were like buttah - soft and almost custard-like. There was also a marvy sauce - cheesy and tasty. The waiter was very attentive, water kept full, checked on us. Next time we're driving by, we will definitely drop in.

Yelp
What a hidden gem to be found in Santa Barbara. No idea this restaurant was here until just recently, and now I wish I had known about it for longer! Right when you walk in, the restaurant gives off a chic, laidback vibe - like you can just relax with a drink in your hand and an appetizer in front of you. If the weather is nice, there'll be a breeze, and it just puts you in a good mood. Their dinner menu has so many delicious options. Love their Cali Fish Tacos - large piece of fresh fish complete with a chipotle sauce. Their Bucatini Burrata pasta comes with a hefty portion of burrata which really ties the whole dish together. Notable mention to the Gochujang Wings. However, their dessert was my favorite. The Fried Hand Pie was INCREDIBLE. Crisp with tender chunks of spiced apple inside complete with a scoop of vanilla gelato. Great drinks as well - Take me to the Mule is a must try. Overall, what a great dining experience, and we can't wait to return for another meal here!

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel for a night away and got breakfast here this morning. There's great indoor and outdoor seating in a beautiful patio area and the servers were super nice. We got the pork belly Benedict and it was very good. The sauce was super tasty and everything was fresh. Definitely would come back.

Yelp
As always the most beautiful Espresso Martini. The only thing is not every bartender here is an artist. Seneca, is phenomenal and will ruin Espresso Martinis for you when he's not the crafter.

Yelp
Hit and miss. Tacos were not good. Poke bowl looked good one day when my friend ordered it but when I got it a couple days later it was not the same. Not very busy and cute place for a meal but the food inconsistency won't bring me back.

Yelp
Hadn't been to this iteration of the restaurant at the Leta Hotel so it thought it only right to go give it a try. I've always loved this space both indoor and out so I was quite pleased that the food really measured up. The Caya Kitchen burger is a very good burger. Wagyu beef and cooked a perfect mid-rare with even a bit of crust or blackening/seasoning on the outside it was quite a delight. The bacon jam didn't really show though so maybe get an extra side of that to be sure you have enough because it's a good flavor. The Faroe Bay Salmon was also a quite solid dish, though we didn't get any of the squash. Still the dish was quite flavorful. Finally the pulled pork Mac and cheese was a wonderful. So many flavors going on at once, I would definitely get it again. We dined on a weeknight and the place was about half full. Service was great and overall the prices were reasonable by today's standards. This place is perfect for a quiet evening, even with a group it was quite easy to converse :-)

Yelp
Not too long ago I attended an amazing Yelp event at this restaurant. At that time the restaurant showcased their wonderful foods and drinks! My experience was amazing that I chose to come back to experience this with my husband. Unfortunately my experience was not the same on Thursday during happy hour where I had fond memories of yummy ceviche. The ceviche was so good and not fishy was i originally visited. Chef Luis (sp?) even told us how to properly make ceviche-- unfortunately we didn't experience the same level of taste. The ceviche was so fishy that we sent it back. Too bad as there was great chunks of fish. We also got the chips and salsa. The salsa was good: good smoky flavors. To accompany our meal, we got some happy hour refreshments for 10 dollars each. After this experience, I am not sure if I'm keen to come back when there are so many yummy places to eat in Santa Barbara. My stars are for are great temporary bartender filling in from Ohio! Thanks for your good service.

Yelp
i enjoyed a nice breakfast spread here at caya, and chose to sit outside on the beautiful patio overlooking the pool and mountains in the distance. my server was joseph, he was kind and patient. i ordered 2 eggs over medium, toast and a pancake with coffee. fantastic eggs, big fluffy pancake and delicious sourdough. the fruit preserves was plated with the toast, but i put it on the pancake instead and it was the perfect pairing. if you ask, they have real maple syrup available, which i really appreciated! although the menu has decent options, i wanted something relatively on the smaller side so i went for the a la carte. the coffee was decent, i would have liked for there to be flavored creamer options. i don't typically order eggs out but these were worth it! i would have ordered more if this meal wasn't so filling already. great prices. i did have to ask for silverware, salt, pepper and sugar. EGGS 10/10 PANCAKE 10/10 TOAST 9.5/10 this is a beautiful, convenient hotel restaurant that has good quality food (and drinks for later!) i tried the la perla and tommy's margarita, they were both excellent and strong. LA PERLA 7.5/10 TOMMY's MARGARITA 10/10 overall it's a great and convenient option if you're visiting. ambiance: 4.5/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 4.5/5 service: 4.5/5 Caya: 4.6/5

Yelp
Just order the scallop risotto! It was a beautiful dish and all three of us ordered it. Just a great dish and so enjoyed it. We ordered the brussel sprouts which were good but not great. We also split a Caesar salad which was fresh and well prepared. Our server had several tables that were spread out and I would normal consider the service slow but we were in no particular hurry so we did not mind. We were socializing and enjoying a lazy day in Santa Barbara. The restaurant is located in a boutique motel and its construction shows its age. It was squeaky clean and appropriately decorated. The outdoor space is wonderful after the kiddos have left the pool area. They have fire pits to keep the chill away and it was just a chill spot.

Yelp
Came into town on Christmas to visit my son at UCSB and wanted to have a nice meal with him. Options for a Christmas meal / "experience" were limited and the gnomes of the internet suggested we give Caya a try. I would like to be charitable, but every part of the "experience" was disappointing. It took 25 minutes for my son to get a cup of coffee. The waiter disappeared for quite a while (despite the fact that the place wasn't busy) and when he returned, he appeared to have a brief medical episode when taking orders. For appetizers, two of us got salad and one got soup. The salad was unremarkable and small, the soup was bland and tepid. For entrees, two of us ordered the prime rib and one got the salmon, Only my son was able to eat his entree (prime rib) as he hadn't had breakfast and was ready for just about anything. The salmon was strangely mushy and drenched in a nondescript sauce which rendered it inedible. The prime rib was served cold in warm gravy. Desserts were apple torte and cheesecake - the cheesecake was passable but the apple torte (actually a small slice of apple pie) was served cool with a side of what appeared to be aged cool whip. It wasn't a good experience at all, but they were open on Christmas and that counts for something.

Yelp
My husband and I accrued some credits during our Leta Goleta stay to use at Caya and we decided to use them on dessert! We looked at the dessert menu online and weren't really excited about anything, but the menu in person was totally different. We got a chocolate fudge cake which is our fave dessert, and salted caramel and vanilla bean gelato to eat with it. Everything was so so rich and delicious. The servers were really nice and the atmosphere is super cool here, very California. Glad we had the chance to check it out!

Yelp
We were in Santa Barbara for my son's UCSB orientation, and we stayed at the Leta Santa Barbara Goleta Hilton. On our second night there, we decided to try the Caya restaurant for dinner. We had a nice meal there which I would give 3.5 stars, if possible, but I rounded up because of the service and decor. Ambiance was very nice. The decor was open air, rustic and inviting with cushioned benches and open air patio. Service was top notch. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Food was good, but a little heavy handed with the sauces and dressings. - Blackened Ahi Tuna - the blackened ahi tuna was very well done and flavorfully seasoned, but it was buried in the sriracha aoili (which seemed to be just srirachi with mayo). The napa cabbage slaw was also good, but it was drowning in the sesame ginger dressing. - Red Posole (Soup of the Day) was outstanding, with lots of pork and hominy and a nicely spicy broth. - Asian Noodle Salad with Salmon was very nicely seasoned and still moist. The yakisoba noodles were perfectly chewy, but again swimming the sesame ginger dressing. - Grilled Shrimp Salad (Special) was the best entree of the evening. Shrimp was nicely grilled, seasoned and cooked, and the salad was lightly dressed with the a fresh tasting miso dressing.

Yelp
CAYA is a lovely spot for brunch located in the boutique Hotel Lets in Goleta. Tha atmosphere is chic, open and welcoming with patio dining overlooking the swimming pool with palms and mountains behind. We sat down at a table and noticed it was quite sticky. We ordered brunch. Staff were so kind, professional, helpful and knowledgeable in answering our questions. We went for a mimosa (lemon, orange juice, grapefruit, but requested light on the grapefruit) and it was delicious! Hair of the champagne dog achieved. We then ordered the frittata with spinach and the Chilequiles. The frittata was wonderful, but just a little bland. The Chilequiles were great, but too acidic (too much lime juice) and not quite enough pork or cheese. We would return to try different dishes. So glad a nice brunch spot exists in Goleta! . Sticky tables Good sunny/shade outdoor restaurant by pool plenty parking Great decor Chilequiles- far too acidic-lime, not enough cheese or pork. Frittata a little bland Service ok Mimosa- lemon, orange, no grapefruit Chilequiles 4.5 Stars.

Yelp
We dined here while visiting my daughter at UCSB. It was a pre-birthday celebration and she had picked CAYA. There's so much to say about how lovely our experience was. The restaurant is located inside the Leta Hotel, which is a Hilton tapestry collection property. The overall sophisticated beach Boho vibe was perfectly done, down to the woodie wagon out front. There was also live music on the patio and the bar area was very lively. The menu has a great variety of dishes, I ordered short rib mac & cheese, my son ordered the sliders and Chicken wings, and my daughter had the chicken tacos. We shared a buratta salad, which had the creamiest cheese and with added salt, tasty heirloom tomatoes. The short rib Mac & cheese was amazing, comforting and savory. My son enjoyed his dishes as he was pretty quiet while eating. The bacon on the sliders was really crisp and not an afterthought to the dish. The chicken wings were spiced and cooked well. Lastly, my daughter loved her chicken tacos which had good spice and crunch. Our server Ayla (sp?) was very sweet, checking on us often and since my daughter and I are allergic to nuts, she kept us well informed about the dishes we were interested in and what to avoid. She brought my daughter the cutest apple hand pie with a scoop of McConnell's ice cream and a candle for her birthday. My daughter loved it and said it was delicious! My son and I also ordered McConnell's ice cream as well. We love how the local businesses support each other.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in here after coming home from a very long, overseas flight. We were tired and hungry and showed up a bit before their dinner technically started. The 101 freeway was a nightmarish mess of traffic (nearly a parking lot) so we decided to give it a go even if we had to wait a little. I think we were maybe 20 min early for dinner hours. Our server said she'd check with the kitchen to see if they could start our food ahead of their technical open hours and we looked over the menu. When she came back she let us know they would help us out and we were very appreciative. Husband ordered the carnitas tacos and I got a grilled chicken sandwich. Both things were good, and the place had a fun, casual and comfortable vibe going. Our server offered to put our tab on our room, so if you're staying at the hotel that's an option. I don't usually eat at hotel restaurants if I'm not also staying there, but this worked out for us and I'm glad we stopped in.

Yelp
I went In for a relatively late breakfast on a Monday. It was not crowded and very peaceful. I checked the menu on yelp and decided on the "almond French toast" I got the menu at my table and it was no longer available. Far, so I got the CAYA French toast instead. It was only slightly different. It looks great in my picture but it did not blow me away. Overrated? I'll let you decide. If there goal is to make the best French toast sadly they came a little short but if there goal is to give you a great staff, and expertly decorated interior and exterior they accomplished that. I think if you are staying at the hotel and want a great place to go it's convenient. Or just coming out of the pool and want a drink it's fills the slot. CAYA staff I liked you keep up the chill good vibes.

Jaquelyn C.

Yelp
Our bar tender was amazing and very friendly always asking if we were ok or needed anything. Dinner was good, drinks where even better lol very nice place

Jamie R.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere! I've only been once, but I will definitely be coming back. They also make one of the best Moscow mules I've ever had.

Lily Z.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the second time here for brunch was disappointing. We had 2 orders of eggs Benedict, and 3 out of 4 eggs were overcooked. They also stop serving the whole smashed fried baby potatoes. The French toast was good, and I would order again. The prime rib sandwich tasted exactly like a raja taco, and the meat was dry and crispy, not what I expected for prime rib. The fries accompanied the sandwich were lukewarm and tasted like they had been sitting around for a while.

Bella A.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is located, and decided to have breakfast here before heading out. Perhaps the lunch and dinner services are better, but breakfast was quite underwhelming and quite average.

Anne H.

Yelp
Started out ok - cute dog-friendly patio and nice ambiance. Server came fast but we needed more time to decide ...and then he didn't come back for..a..long...time. We asked him a few questions about the menu and the ingredients and he did not seem to know anything about anything and did not offer to find out for us. We finally ordered the food..and...it...took ...for...ever to arrive. Mac and cheese entree was mediocre and not hot enough. My impossible burger was burnt (who burns an impossible burger??) and missing the cheese...but then no one came back to ask if everything was ok...for...a...long...time. When server finally did come back I was almost done anyway (because I was so hungry from waiting for so long). I told him that my burger was burnt and missing cheese and he barely said sorry and then walked away to clear a table...Um -what?!? I waited tables for many years and the next thing you're supposed to say is "what can I do to make it better? Can I get you something else or have them remake your burger and add cheese?" Customer is always right and service and satisfaction are the goal; do what you need to to make it right. This server could not have cared less or generally put less effort into his job. So...unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. Menu was way overpriced for quality of food, food was very mediocre, service was terrible. ALSO- I was UPcharged for the IMPOSSIBLE BURGER which was $3 more than the meat version -what?(!)...We were very disappointed. TIPS to the manager: more training and consistency for your staff about good service and friendliness, more guidelines about food turn around time to the dining room, more attention to detail on the menu including showing symbols for vegan, vegetarian and other such options along with willingness to modify entrees to accommodate guest diets and preferences.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I'm in town visiting and am on my own for dinner this evening. I'm not staying at the hotel, but drove over as I saw another review for a great happy hour. It is indeed GREAT! The house chardonnay is Nielson at $7 and very good for a house wine. I had the ceviche for dinner and it was excellent. It exceeded my expectations. The dining and outdoor areas had other tables, but it wasn't overly busy which was nice for me. I was able to relax, take my time, get some work done on my laptop, enjoy my meal and wine without feeling like I needed to leave to free up a table. The atmosphere has a lot of natural light and the decor is inviting. The bar tender is professional and my waitress did a great job.

Mervin L.

Yelp
Staying at the Hotel and we were too tired to venture out for dinner. The service was good. Both the lady that sat us and our server were both friendly. Nothing over the top or stuck up. Just right. The Ambiance had a Californian feel. It was modern yet minimalist. They had live music outside, but we chose to sit indoor. We still heard the music and it was great. Food was delicious. I had the curry coconut soup. It was very flavorful. I could eat another bowl. Only disappointing thing was that no bread/toast or even crackers were served and when asked, no options was given. Am I the only one the eats bread with soup? Then we followed that with the Hummus Trio. Love this dish. The watermelon radish was a nice addition. The carports were so fresh as if they we just picked from the back year before serving. I would say 2 out of the 3 hummus were great. Specially the chipotle one. Maybe add a little more pita bread. The 3rd dish we tried was the Leta Burger which somehow, I forgot to take a photo. Guess, I was hungry. Burger was cooked medium well, side fries. Burger had favor. Over all, if you want to stay in and avoid heading out the hotel grounds, try this place out. Small Menu, but makes your choices easier.

Rachelle C.

Yelp
My family and I had breakfast here. The restaurant is quaint and decorated nicely. Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. We tried the Chilaquiles Verde, Bread Pudding French Toast and the All American Breakfast. The servers were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend dining here.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Had a great experience at CAYA last weekend we hosted a small gathering after my son's graduation. It was the perfect spot. Sybil our waitress and Sam and Evan too made sure that we were over the top taken care of! The food was amazing including the desserts at the end of our meal. Ask to sit outside and they have a great happy hour too. Order the lavender lemonade, you will want more than one for sure if you're looking for a non-alcoholic beverage. highly recommended.

David V.

Yelp
I was pretty excited but nervous when I heard the restaurant at the rebranded Leta Hotel would be re-opening. My friends took a chance and dined there for dinner during Restaurant Week. I was super impressed! The food was delicious, but the service was pretty slow. This was somewhat forgivable since they had a full house. Food took a while to come out, and they never once checked on us for water or anything else. This seems to be a recurring theme at the restaurant. I returned for Mother's Day this past weekend. They were at less than 50% capacity. I made the mistake of ordering the Prime Rib lunch special, which was spelled "Prime Rib Frietes". It came with fries if you couldn't figure it out. This was a disaster. Bland, overcooked, tough. It was advertised as coming with horseradish (cream?), but it didn't. So I had to ask twice to get a side of it. Everything was a struggle - water refills, utensils, extra sauce. The new chef has a killer-sounding menu, and when they can execute it works. When you come here, just make sure you don't order anything too adventurous or possibly challenging to cook properly, and hope you don't have any requests or need any service.

Britt R.

Yelp
This place was unreal! I went here for restaurant week and was able to snag a 3-course amazing meal for $35. The beef Wellington was actually almost as good as Hell's Kitchen. Seasoned perfectly and the asparagus was crisp and delicious. The hand pie with rich vanilla ice cream was to die for! I will be returning!

John L.

Yelp
Our Thanksgiving meal at CAYA? In a word: Disappointing, and a generous two stars. Not sure where to start, but first off, the advertised online price for both the turkey and ham dinners was $35, which is part of the reason why we even chose that location for Thanksgiving dinner, but the ACTUAL price on the their in-house menu (and what we were charged) was $45. There were other price discrepancies on the online menu compared to their in-house menu, and all in the house's favor. Somebody goofed. Big time. We had calamari and Wagyu meatballs for our shared appetizers. The calamari was lukewarm at best, and had a strange pineapple chutney on top that over-sweetened it. The Wagyu meatballs were just OK. Two in our party ordered the turkey dinner, and they both said it was tough, dry, and overcooked. They said the stuffing was also dry. A $45.....or even a $35 Thanksgiving turkey dinner shouldn't be dry and overcooked, especially from a Hilton owned restaurant. I ordered the filet mignon, which was priced at $46 for a 6 ounce piece of meat. I ordered it medium rare, but it arrived practically blue in the center, and still mooing, kicking, and screaming! A little bit rare is OK, but this was barely seared on either side. It's pretty obvious somebody back in the kitchen doesn't know how to touch Judge a steak. I sent it back, and at least it was hot this time, but was still more rare than I would've liked, but at that point everybody else had their food, and I didn't want to send it back again. One question I have is: Where is the management in that place? There didn't appear to be any, only the servers and the Bartender. If there was any managerial presence there, one would never know it. Strange that on a showcase day like Thanksgiving there would be no management running the show. With tax and tip and it ended up being $300 for the four of us. I don't mind paying that if we got our money's worth and it's good quality, but there's a lot of work to be done before that place reaches that level.

Yelp
Staying at the Leta, made it convenient, and I'm happy that I went there. It was breakfast, hardly any people but service was on point , staff was friendly and food was great! Thank you!

Matthew P.

Yelp
Fantastic Service everytime. Great place to relax in evening - at the bar or next to the fire pits. Thanks Keegan!!!

Lauren P.

Yelp
Food was really good the place is beautiful but service was definitely a miss. Our waiter was nice and seemed apologetic but definitely could have been better as it took him a long time to take our order. Saw people who came after us get their order taken and get their food before we even ordered which was unsettling. Cool and convenient place to eat at since we were staying at the hotel but would maybe go somewhere else if we were in the area.

Aga J.

Yelp
Caya experience was amazing. The ambiance is cozy and chic. The outdoor dining atmosphere has so much charm! We hit the jackpot getting Sybille as a server. She is a foodie's dream! Her food descriptions are mouthwatering and her suggestions were spot on. We so enjoyed the watermelon salad special, the dressing was sooo good and the balance of watermelon, cherry tomatoes and feta was perfection! The squid ink pasta complemented with a glass of local Gruner Veltliner went together like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The bonus was chef Phil himself coming to say hello and making dessert recommendations, among which we have chosen his signature hand pie which we devoured. Overall we had a V.I. P. dinning experience and we are looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
Friendly staff. Offered good recommendations on nearby attractions. The place has a great look and vibe.

Yelp
Went to the bar for happy hour ,great food and drink selection. The bar tender Martin was friendly . ambiance was nice and cozy , outside patio is great too.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and really wanted to try the mac n cheese and the Asian noodles but unfortunately, they weren't on the brunch menu, so we decided to order some basic brunch food instead. The Almond French Toast was decent but had too many sour apples on top that overpowered the almond flavor. I did really like the pork sausage that came with it, and the bread itself was nicely toasted and soft inside. We also ordered the Two Egg Breakfast. The bread was slightly soggy, and the sausage was a bit dry. The sunny-side-up eggs were a bit messy, with some parts being too fried, but the yolk was nicely runny. I did like the potatoes which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also ordered an oat milk latte which was unfortunately served lukewarm instead of hot. The waitress was very patient and friendly, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's super cute and aesthetic, making it a great spot for a relaxed morning conversation!

Anna R.

Yelp
Came in for Father's Day brunch with my father in law and family. Food was okay, service was okay how ever sitting next to the dish area and seeing servers pick up heavy tubs of dishes looks hazardous. Saw one of the servers almost drop tubs full of dish during breakfast. Please hire more staff and take care of your employees especially on a day that is busy. My server delayed service because she stated she had to take back dishes and she came back really wet. Not okay look for your restaurant.

Yelp
So this place needed their second review - My hubby and I checked into this hotel tonight and just absolutely fell in love. We travel ALOT and this hotel/restaurant vibe hit on all levels. 1. I will agree with the first review that the dining room is freezing - so we opted for the outdoor seating by the heat lamps with the blankets they provided 2. The place was busy, but our server was on top of it (Grace) 3. The outdoor dining area was beautiful, cozy and loved that they built the restaurant around a tree 4. We ordered the steak sandwich and my husband said it "took flavor to a new dimension" 5. My ahi tuna was fair only because it alot of sauce on it and took away from all the fresh ingredients on the plate. I would order it on the side Overall this place was lovely and dog friendly- we will be back here again during our visit.

Yelp
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Caya this year. We were greeted by Ayra at the front, who also ended up being our server. From the moment she greeted us to our departure, she made sure our experience was delightful. She was kind to our little one and helpful with our questions and requests. Our food was tasty (we ordered the calamari, turkey dinner, and ham dinner) and we enjoyed the laid back yet chic style of the restaurant. Overall, the highlight was our service.

Yelp
The food and service were great! The chicken sandwich and fish tacos were delicious! The place was so cute! Very close to UCSB, so we took our son there for lunch.

Yelp
I must say was pretty blown away by CAYA. I have been there while it was under different hotels and the food was always good, but maybe left a little to be desired. We went here for Mother's Day and they really have stepped up their game. The cocktails were fun and innovative, the service was attentive and upbeat, and the food surpassed what I thought we would get. We each order a brunch menu item including a frittata, a seafood crepe, eggs Benedict, and a prime rib and eggs meal. Everyone throughly enjoyed their meal and the portions were great. The prime rib was cooked beautifully and tasted great. While the interior hasn't changed much with Hilton taking over, I will say the vibe just felt a little more upbeat and guest friendly. I would completely recommend this to a long-time Goleta/Santa Barbara resident or slowness just spending a few days.

Yelp
stopped on by caya after an intense google search for a decently priced happy hour through the weekend - I was hesitant to go to a hotel bar but after giving it a chance I firmly believe this place should get more hype. the bar tender was so nice, the food was good, it's near ucsb, and the outdoor patio (despite not fulfilling its true potential) was lovely - bees knees and spicy margs got the best reviews. daiquiri was okay but nothing to rave about - truffle fries were a hefty portion for $8, axtually very truffle flavored, and came with a thick sexy aoili - wings were great and so is their ranch so need I say more - poke was a bit bland, needed furkike or soy sauce or something to add to the mix - sliders were approved by the burger enjoyers and not a bad size either for a happy hour deal - the seating is a clean aesthetic look but their outdoor patio has so much potential it made me sad they didn't go absolute sicko mode with making it picturesque garden vibes

Yelp
READ BEFORE BOOKING FOR HOLIDAY MEAL I hardly ever write bad reviews but felt compelled to write this after my experience. Me and my bf booked here for Christmas Day lunch. There were little places open on that day so we were grateful there were still spots left. The ambience is nice, decor very appealing. It was a pet friendly place which is a plus for dog owners. We were seating outside and temperature was good. The wait time was bad, we waited about an hour for our appetizer to come. We thought it was a long wait for appetizer especially since the place was full, but not crowded. It was a normal amount of people you'd expect anywhere else. Appetizer was on point, which is why the two stars. Calamari was well cooked, presentable, the toasted coconut crust was a nice touch. Overall the person who made the appetizer did a job well done. We were hyped for the entree and thought to ourselves, if the appetizer was that good then we don't mind waiting another hour for good entree. Boy were we disappointed...not only was the wait long as expected, but when the food arrived my steak was very rare (I ordered it medium rare). It was so rare it was hard to cut and very tough. After a few bites I gave up and considered sending it back to be recooked as I noticed other tables were doing the same but didn't want to wait another long time as my bf would be done with his food by then. So I just ate the potato and carrots. They were mediocre at best, potato was just a plain baked potato and would be better if it was at least cut and buttered for flavor. Carrots were a bit undercooked. I wondered if my dish was microwaved since it got cold very fast too. For a 47$ dish that's not good. To help steak keep Warmer for longer it would also have helped to heat up the plate. My bfs food was also a disappointment. Pasta drenched in olive oil and very bland. The shrimps were cooked to perfection with very good texture, but were over salted. The people beside us complained about their ceviche, so I know it wasn't just us being a karen/Kevin. For expensive food the quality should have been better. I don't mind paying big money for good food but this wasn't it. I suspect their chef either wasn't there that day or they were overwhelmed and underprepared. If that was the case it would have been smarter to simply close for the day rather than serve badly cooked food. All in all, I do think they have some good food, as other reviews on here praise stuff from their regular menu and the calamari was excellent, but they don't seem to have it together for holiday feasts. (I saw a thanksgiving wreck of a review from them and should have seen it as a warning)

Yelp
Went for lunch and though rather empty we had great service and the food was delicious! We loved the decor and hope to come again perhaps when a bit more lively and sit on the patio or bar. Really great spot!

Yelp
We stayed at the Leda hotel and had dinner there, the food was pretty good, we order pasta and a cheese board. The staff was slow but it was the forth of July so we didn't care. Next day, we came back for breakfast... there was no host and the server didn't even acknowledge us until we said something and he told us to sit wherever we liked. We sat down, and waiting for OVER 20 mins and still not even one person came over or brought over a menu. There were only two other tables at the time and three servers... do not come here. Worst experience ever!

Yelp
This place offers really good food with variety and, for the most part, the staff is excellent. However, there is one particular waiter who consistently makes guests feel uncomfortable. He lacks proficiency in his duties and shows a noticeable lack of effort, especially when guests are using vouchers for their stay. If this waiter were replaced, the overall experience would be much better. My review is based on several months of staying here, not just one encounter, highlighting a persistent issue with this specific waiter. He works the morning shift, has a shaved head, and behaves awkwardly. I'll be back tomorrow so I'll update with a name. Regardless no waiter should not attend to their guest that's their whole job and there's clearly a lack in customer service with this individual.
