Our second visit to CÉ LA VI Dubai, unfortunately, was a complete disappointment.
We were celebrating our anniversary, expecting a beautiful evening with the level of service this restaurant claims to offer. Sadly, the reality was very different.
We saw our waiter only once — when he took our order. After that, he disappeared for the rest of the evening. Other waiters approached us randomly, but none of them understood our order or could help us properly.
At least the salad and appetizers were served on time, and that was, unfortunately, the only positive moment.
We waited over an hour for the main courses.
The chicken fillet was bland, barely warm, and served on a cold plate.
The fish/steak we ordered was completely cold — both the dish itself and the plate. It was simply inedible.
To even find out what was happening with our order, we had to stop two different waiters ourselves, since our assigned waiter never returned. We did raise our concerns about the food quality, but by then the damage was already done.
A restaurant of this level cannot afford such service. What makes it even more disappointing is that during our previous visit, the service was much better, which is why we chose to come back — especially for such a special occasion.
In the end, half of our celebration was ruined by this experience.
Sadly, the actual service did not meet the expectations set by the restaurant’s reputation.
