My husband and I are big bbq ribs fans. For the price, taste, and the amount you get, we would pick this one the best out of the ones we’ve tried. We enjoyed the juicy ribs, briskets and generous amount of sides. I especially liked hot beans, collard greens as well as green beans. Would definitely come back !

Google
Saw this place on YouTube review and had to give it a go. The meat was luke warm when it was served. I've had better tasting pulled pork and brisket back in Oz. Had to mix the BBQ sauces into the meat to give it some flavour. You pay extra for the brisket... Had the 3 meat and 2 sides. BBQ beans and Jalapeno Mash potatoes were very good. Nice free ice cream cone to finish off.

A friend referred us the first time.It was okay, we decided to give it a second chance. And bring some home for dinner, not feeling like cooking Worst dinner in a long time The ribs were dry. The sliced brisket was ripped apart. Cuz, it was overdone. Could not even chew the ribs Horrible experience never going back again.

Cecil’s Texas Style Bar‑B‑Q is hands‑down one of my favorite BBQ spots in the area. The smoked meats are rich, tender, and full of flavor - true Texas‑style goodness you don’t find everywhere. The brisket, ribs, and pulled pork all hit the mark, and the sides are hearty and delicious too. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. Staff are friendly and make you feel right at home every time. If you’re craving authentic BBQ done right, Cecil’s is the place to go.

Google
I used to come here years ago during lunch breaks when working in downtown/SODO area. Always a good meal, decent price, and fairly quick. This was a decade ago. Came back to Cecil's again recently and feel like maybe I'm the one who changed. It feels the same, but the quality isn't what I remember. The sides feel kind of half assed, but the meat was good. The macaroni and cheese specifically tasted like it was made three days prior and just reheated over and over. There was no life in it. Cafeteria style bbq can be good when done correctly. If your a law enforcement officer, you might like this place because everything is done in front of you. If you are not a law enforcement officer, you may not like it because you have to serve yourself. Also, someone stole my drink cup. We have no idea who did it. Who does that?

Google
This was my first time eating here and I was very disappointed. Expensive food, especially the ribs which were dry, overcooked, and tough! I hope the ribs in Texas aren’t like these were. The brisket was dry. The only things that I tried that were good were the black-eyed peas (a little too salty) and the sweet potato casserole. It’s definitely not worth the hype. If you want great ribs, go to Sonny’s. Their bbq is good and even better with the AYCE!

Matt H.

Google
Brisket was dry, banana pudding had mushy wafers. Chicken was great. Sweet potatoes casserole was good

Cecil’s BBQ is hands down one of the best barbecue spots in town! The food is consistently delicious — from the perfectly smoked meats to the flavorful sides, everything tastes fresh and made with care. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and has that classic BBQ joint charm that makes you feel right at home. What really stood out for me (besides the mouth-watering brisket and ribs) is how family-friendly this place is. I love that they have a free ice cream machine for the kids — it’s such a thoughtful touch and makes the experience even more fun for families. My kids absolutely loved it, and it kept them excited to come back. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure you’re taken care of. Cecil’s BBQ delivers not just great food, but also a great experience. If you’re looking for authentic barbecue with a family-friendly vibe, this is the place to be!

Yelp
We always enjoy the food when we come here. My staple is the smoked chicken eggrolls. They are always packed full of chicken and flavor! The dictionary roll is always perfectly fried as well. My husband got the garlic, Parm wings, and they were so delicious! Easily a go to for us as well

Yelp
The decor is vintage Texas-BBQ. It's set up like a traditional walk-through or cafeteria style with a tray in hand. The food is not good quality. It was sitting in plastic or under a lamp for a long time. The sides are pretty tasteless and overall it's not a culinary experience worth sharing with others. That said, f you want the vibe, they have that smoke house feeling from central Tejas.

Yelp
When we're in the Downtown Orlando area, Cecil's is our go-to spot for no-frills bbq. We love the set up of the scoop-your-own sides. Our favorites are the collards, mac and cheese (it's on the lighter and creamier side - which is my preference), and of course the fried okra. The staff has always been friendly and kind whenever we go. We always get the 3 meat dinner platter, selecting ribs, beef brisket, and the hot link. Which in my opinion are the 3 best meats to get. The ribs are the best. The hot links are solid. Depending on the cut of brisket you get, it could be a hit or miss, I tend to like a little more fattier cut so the meat is more moist, leaner cuts tend to be a little dry. Although the brisket could use a little more seasoning, it tastes fine once you dip in the bbq sauce. I've had worse. The sauces and condiments are located in the middle area of seating. And there's complimentary soft serve for dine-in, which is a nice little touch. You order then pay before finding seats.

Yelp
A staple along Orange ave. This spot has a tight parking area but the lines move quickly when you're inside ordering. They have options for lunch and dinner - their specialty is Texas style bbq as the name implies. I thought their brisket was just ok and actually enjoy the pork a little more. Sides were just ok at best. Prices are par for the cuisine and area.

Yelp
I have passed by this place thousands of times and finally made a stop to try it out! After an evening of drinks, Cecil's satisfied my hunger. I don't know what I pictured it to be like inside but to my surprise you pick your meat/entree and then there's a self serve buffet until you greet the cashier at the end to pay for your meal! I came in probably like an hour before closing and was suprised my pulled pork was actually juicy. For my side, I did the coleslaw as it grabbed my attention more than the rest, but they had a variety from fries, mac and cheese, potato salad, beans, and more. Overall, pretty decent bbq for a decent price. There's different barbecue sauces to try from and a couple side items to add to your sandwich as well. Place had a good amount of people for almost an hour before closing. There's a good amount of seating from booth to tables to accommodate all parties as well.

Yelp
Casual bbq place with a coubtry flores to it. Prices are very reasonable between $9 to $25 per person. The service is walk up counter and very fast knowledgeable staff. The offer beer selections from their neighbor restaurant rockin brewery. On-site parking lot

Yelp
SMOKED BUTTER smothered smoked wings! A whole new experience! Also, the cool cucumber salad was absolutely delightful!!!

Yelp
I went to a Yelp get together event with friends at the RockPit Brewery, and ordered food over there. The food committee from Cecil BBQ, so I will comment on the food over here. I think RockPit undercharged me for the ribs as I thought it would be 15 dollars (and they only charged me 13), but the ribs had a decent smoke flavor. The meat was not fall off the bone tender, but it was still decent and I was able to cut most of them with a plastic fork and knife. The BBQ sauce was a bit spicy, but enhanced the meat quite a bit. The potato salad was fine, and had a lot of dill in their seasoning. The banana pudding tasted a bit artificial, but it still was acceptable. The service came from RockPit brewery, since I ate there. But the food did come at a reasonable time, so kudos to Cecil's for their quickness in preparation of good food. I saw the pictures of the Cecil atmosphere, and I think I made the better choice of eating at RockPit as the atmosphere over there looks more fun and entertaining. I am glad RockPit partnered with Cecil's for the food, as I do enjoy a good BBQ with a refreshing beer. They make a good team and while Cecil's has their own building and restaurant, they do a good job catering to the RockPit customers to enjoy their delicious food. I will visit Cecil's inside their building one day, but I will continue to order their food at RockPit when I visit that facility again.

Yelp
Orlando-Can't say much about ambiance or service, because we were at Rockpit Brewery, next door. There were 4 of us and we also got apps. We had fried okra-good, with light breading. Pretzel bites- just frozen bites, with "supposedly" beer cheese (not really beer cheese tasting). Loaded tots (smoked chicken)-ok, but a strange amount of chicken plopped on top of the tots. See pictures! Large meat sammy-very plain, with just pulled pork and nothing else. Too dry to enjoy. No cheese, mayo, or really anything. Sides of bbq sauce that didn't impress. Steak fries were good. It's really hard to mess frozen fries up! Chicken salad sliders-DELICIOUS! Potato salad as a side along with an extra side of coleslaw. Both of those sides were pretty delicious. 2 Grilled cheese with pulled pork sammie's. Sides for that were steak fries, and a cucumber salad. Cucumber salad was OK. Not much to write home about. Too bad because you are locked into this place if you want to hang at the brewery and eat. Definitely not a spot to return to, unless you're totally starving over at the brewery and are desperate for something to soak up the beer.

Yelp
It's didn't have no taste the food . They definitely need help with this BBQ place . The green beans was nasty

Yelp
Picked up a to go order of 32 wings and cole slaw. Really good smoky flavor even without sauce. The Habanero was too hot so glad i asked for a sample first. Ended up with BBQ and Smoked butter. Both very good. My wife, who almost never likes cole slaw, said this was some of the best she's had. I think I spent around $40, but it was totally worth it. And the folks there are VERY nice.

Yelp
Ordered two lunch plates for carryout. Standard but solid bbq joint. My favorite were the ribs and Texas toast! Bbq sauces were okkkk. Meats were a bit dry but still pretty good. I really liked the addition of jalapeños to the mashed potatoes, but they tasted out of the box, would've been better from scratch (of course idk for sure). I wouldn't come out of my way to eat here but satisfied the BBQ craving!

Yelp
From the outside, it didn't look so WHOA WOW but once you walk inside it's like you're in a midwest home with mamas home cooked good cooking! The smell was wonderful as soon as you walked in and started immediately salivating lol There were so many options to choose from but we ended up getting the two and three meat options. The food was cut up right in front of us and we got to serve our own sides. Ordering and getting food was very fast and there were so many tables to choose from in their dining area. The best part was the free ice cream cause who can say no to that?! I'd definitely come here again when I'm craving some good ol' American BBQ

Veronica R.

Yelp
Ribs were good, I got half a slab. My two side dishes were terrible. Fried okra was greasy and bland. Collard greens taste fresh out of a can. The sauce was awful, heavy vinager taste. To top it off, the price did not match what it said online. Don't plan a return trip.

Yelp
I don't like to give a negative review but I'm sorry to say this place deserved it. A guy at work was telling us this is the worst BBQ and we didn't just want to take his word for it so we decided to go. It sucks to have to say that he was totally right. The only thing saving this place was the friendly staff and it being clean inside. It had the classic BBQ style restaurant inside with a sauce station in the middle which after ordering your food you're going to need it because unfortunately it was very dry. A coworker and I ordered the beef brisket and we both happened to watch him carve it and gave each other an odd look because we noticed it was completely over-cooked with no juice coming from it at all. It was more like eating a well done roast beef. Every time we took a bite it was hard not to joke about how bad it was and that we were pretty much forcing it. Unfortunately the sides were just as bad. The coleslaw was just super wet which drowned out any taste, the garlic bread tasted fine but was extremely soggy and the BBQ baked beans were very underwhelming I can tell you the three other people who ordered food felt the same exact way about it all. Unless they make some improvements to their food I really don't plan on ever going back.

Yelp
Let me tell you about this place. I dripped a friend off at her son's apartment. I drove by and saw the name. The spotlight was taking a long time to change. I pulled up the menu. I have food allergies. I was very pleased to see they had the ingredients listed on the website. People always say they have the best BBQ. I'm skeptical to try it out. I'm very glad that I turned around to try them out. The fried okra is made to order. You're getting fresh okra and not soggy okra from the warmer. The potato salad is mayonnaise based. It was delicious as well. Let's get into these wings. Their wings are smoked and fried just a little for a crunch. I am a wing connoisseur . Typically, I'm an all flat type of wing. I forgot to tell them. I said oh well. I got this orange spicy flavor. These wings were absolutely delicious. I'm glad I stepped out of the box with the flavor choice. I ate the flats and drums lol. The staff was very friendly. There was a lady that provided more answers for questions I had. The gentleman that rang me up was very nice as well. If you are looking for good BBQ in Orlando, you should stop by Cecil's. You'll be glad you did.

Chad P.

Yelp
This place has been around for a long time. A testament to doing it right. I grew up in Orlando, and Cecil's very well might have been my first BBQ experience. They do Texas style BBQ. The difference between Texas style and traditional Southern BBQ is an emphasis on brisket, hot links, warmed sauces, and chile peppers in sides (ex: jalapeño mashed potatoes). I no longer live in Orlando but stopped on my last visit. Everything I remembered was the same. Tasty brisket, Texas toast, jalapeño mashed potatoes, and the collard greens were excellent. I love all three of their sauces, so I poured them over everything. The prices are really good for the amount of food you get (seriously, you can get a pulled pork plate for less than 9 bucks and it comes with a drink). As always, complementary soft serve for desert. Some places are built to last, and Cecil's is one of those places!

Yelp
Nice BBQ place, huge portions but at least on the day we visited absolutely smoking hot in the place. The service was good, we ate sort of buffet style and the portions are huge, a bit pricey but large. The ribs are the full sized pork ribs and not my preferred baby back. I got the brisket. Not bad at all but it did need a shot of the sauce on it which is easy enough to add. I usually prefer the taste where the sauce cooks just a little on the meat but no big complaints. This is a BBQ pit type place - absolutely not a lick of air conditioning evident tonight during our visit but a little sweat never killed anyone. My wife gave me one of her ribs and I am glad I didn't order them as they are just not the same as good old baby back. Great time with family and we had fun. The food was a little pricey but otherwise we enjoyed and would recommend

Yelp
Every time we go we enjoy it. Also when you dine in there is a complimentary self serve soft serve ice cream machine. Their sweet tea is great as well if you love a bit of spice the bacon wrapped smoked jalapeño's are amazing.

Yelp
I've passed by this place so many times and finally decided to give it a try. It always smells so good! I did have higher expectations going in. we walked in at 2:07 and they have a lunch special that runs till 2 and they wouldn't honor it. Not the end of the world but like 7 mins....??? Anyways, the vibes were very good for BBQ but my pulled pork was a little dry :(. The sauces were good but I wish the sweet sauce was a little less sweet. The mild was too spicy for me.
google avatar

Yaremi A.

Yelp
Cecil's Texas Style BBQ serves up some of the best ribs I've ever had! The meat was tender, perfectly smoked, and packed with flavor. The seasoning had just the right balance of spice, and the sauce was rich and tangy without overpowering the natural taste of the ribs. The sides complemented the meal well, but the ribs were definitely the highlight. The atmosphere was laid-back and comfortable, making it a great spot for a casual meal. We frequently order to go, the portions are nice.
google avatar

Anisha E.

Yelp
Staff was very helpful walking me through the menu as it was my 1st time. Got brisket and pulled pork and sausage sliders. Sausage was great. I enjoyed the pull pork over the brisket, but all was good. I ate next door at rock pit brewing which did have a better atmosphere in my opinion. Will be back to try the ribs.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. You take a girl that loves Kansas (NOT KC,Mo) and Texas BBQ, and put her in the south....and then drop this gem here....mmmmmm. Yes yes yes. I've only had the brisket tacos each time, and they are gooooood. I have not ever tried their BBQ sauces, and that is HUGE because I'm a sauce-a-holic, and BBQ is my go-to for most everything. This is so well seasoned and smoked that I cannot imagine adding sauce. I think 3 times in my life have I not added sauce. I need to branch out and try some other things here but it might be a while because I cannot get over these tacos. So amazing. If you like smoked meat, this is your jam. Unless you like southern BBQ and KC BBQ which is sweet (Kansas and Texas is more savory) then you might try their sweet BBQ sauce? Idk, I will try their BBQ sauces one day but today will not be that day.

Yelp
First time actually coming in to get food. Usually I'm next door at Rockpit Brewery having liquid bread (aka beer). I entered around 2 o'clock so after the lunch hour rush and there was no line yay me. All of the staff that I saw were very friendly and since it was my first time there I asked what they recommend and they recommended sandwich two sides. I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac & cheese and some greens. The greens were good and I had no complaints about them, however I would've added some hot sauce to it but that's just how I like My greens. I had to get the mac & cheese because it's a staple piece of any barbecue place thankfully the actual pasta was not over cooked so it wasn't super mushy or anything like that however I do have to say the mac & cheese liked flavor which was disappointing. Now onto the main part of the meal, the Pulled pork sandwich. First of all the bread was Texas toast seasoned with a little bit of extra garlic seasoning on it which was crispy not soggy and the pulled pork was flavorful very fresh and most importantly delicious. I would definitely go back for this sandwich again. I did requested hot barbecue sauce and let me tell you it adds a whole new flavor element to the sandwich which brings it up to the next level. I'll be back soon the try out some more delicious barbecue and some different sides.

Ken C.

Yelp
This place is known for great brisket, when I received my order I was extremely disappointed, it was dry, crumbly and overcooked. Since I used Uber and didn't patronize the establishment, they saw an opportunity to serve me leftovers . Thanks Cecil's for the inferior food!
google avatar

Yelp
We wanted to find new Texas Style barbecue and decided on this little restaurant off Orange Avenue. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed and had our first-timer questions answered quickly. The smells and choices make it difficult to decide, but the brisket, ribs, and pulled pork were easy picks. I enjoyed serving your own sides and I may have gone a little overboard with my beans, but they looked too good. Tables were clean, the sauce bar looked fresh, and overall had a great meal. There wasn't any music on so it was odd to sit in silence and listen to everyone talking and chewing, but the food was so good, it didn't matter. We didn't take advantage of the free ice cream, but perhaps on our next visit. 5 stars for food quality, portions, and flavor!

William M.

Yelp
Some of the best bbq in the area for sure. Sometimes it's packed during lunch, but they keep the line moving. Smell of bbq, they have their sauce in the middle... sometimes the ice cream machine is down but that's ok
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
Love coming to this place for lunch. It's fast, easy and delicious! My co-worker order the lunch plate with ribs (they gave her a HUGE portion!) and I got the lunch plate with pulled pork. You get to choose your own sides (which we love) and get your own BBQ sauce from their sauce bar. Parking is kinda tricky if you come later or primetime lunch time. So we always try to come before 12pm to guarantee a spot. Love this place! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jose T.

Yelp
The 3 sliders were delicious. I had the pulled pork, brisket and sausage. My side was the sweet potato casserole, delicious. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. It has a nice southern vibe and is one of my favorite BBQ places.

Janet L.

Yelp
The bbq meats here are always great. I choose brisket most often but the pork is also divine. The Mac is super cheesy and the green beans are to die for. Hubby loves the baked beans too. We always bring our guests here-never fails to impress them. Service is quick and friendly. They keep the eating area clean even though there are always lots of guests and turn over if tables constant. Plenty of parking-most of the time!

Yelp
Full blown deliciousness. Have been here a few times now and it's delightful! You order up front and then move your tray down the cafe towards the cashier. Great bbq and nice side dishes. Would recommend the sweet potato soufflé, green beans, and coleslaw. Most meals come with their buttery Texas toast too. In the past they had onions and jalapeños on their self-service counter with bbq sauces, but now you have to ask for the jalapeños since the staff will serve them to you. Really like the simplicity and ease of Cecil's. When you compare this with other bbq places in Orlando area, this place stands out as an O.G. Their bbq is milder in flavor and doesn't give me indigestion, which is a plus. Definitely come and enjoy your lunch or dinner here. Lunch gets busy so come a little early.

Jose P.

Yelp
This is the second time I've ordered from Cecil's (Doordash). This time I ordered the 3 Meats Dinner. For the sides, I got the Jalapeno Mashed Potatoes and the Hot Beans. Both were delicious. The 3 meats were the Hot Links, Brisket and Pulled Pork. All were good, but I noticed that the serving size had shrunk compared to my previous order. Yes, I know the economy is in bad shape at the moment, but I consider that for the price (almost $19.00), a bit more meats can be added. Next time, I might just drop in person and dine in to see if there's any difference. Still giving 4 stars for flavor, but I might look at other options in the future.
google avatar

Gerard G.

Yelp
This place is amazing and so everyone that works there extremely nice! You can feel the hospitality. I had chicken breast which was flavorful, pulled pork was tasty, pork loin was tasty and the star of show was definitely the ribs! This is a must when in Orlando. Finger licking good.

Yelp
So as someone who has been to Texas and had some pretty damn good BBQ, Cecil's offers a pretty tasty product. Now would I consider it Texas BBQ, well probably not. Like any good BBQ joint the smell of the BBQ cooking/smoking draws you in and when you walk in that smell just gives you a big ole hug and says WELCOME. Right inside the door is the menu and the counter where you order your food. There are a lot of options. You can order sandwiches, combos, platters and a ton of other options. When you order your entree they also ask you what sides you want, so I had to go around to that part of the counter to see the sides. I guess they just expect people to choose their sides based on the menu but sometimes I just gotta order with my eyes. I ordered a Large (On Texas Toast) Pulled Pork Sandwich with two sides ($11.75). My two sides were Green Beans and BBQ Baked Beans. Since I was getting my food to go they asked if I needed sauces and the answer is always YES. So how was it? Well, overall very good! I feel like there could have been more meat, especially if you are selling it is large. I feel like I paid $1.50 to upgrade to Texas Toast. The flavor was there and the meat was very moist, just wish there was more of it. The Green Beans were very lackluster, I had to add Salt and Pepper to them. Now the Baked Beans, man those things are so freakin' good, I could have eaten so many more. As for the sauces, they were all very good. And if you dine in, they are kept warm. We will be back and plan on dinning in next time. If you dine in there is free vanilla soft serve.

Yelp
Giving 2/3 stars because the other workers were wonderful and balanced out "grumpy guy" below. This is a disgrace to Texas BBQ. First off, the first person my boyfriend spoke to was the meat carver who was super rude, blunt and gave off "REALLY don't want to be here and I'm going to take it out on everyone " vibe. My boyfriend did mention that the other staff was wonderful and accommodating- making this guy stand out like a sore thumb. The food was inedible for me and "not worth $38" according to my boyfriend. Horribly salty, chicken lacked flavor, Texas toast was also randomly salty. The worst of all.... Making all Texans cringe... the brisket was DRY. Not in a "Texas style" ... so dry that we were not even given ONE slice - it was all in shards. He just grabbed a fist full and added it to the boxes. We have decided that this is the first and last time we will eat here.

Yelp
On a recent night, I was craving BBQ. However, I was too tired to make the trip to my usual BBQ joints, so I decided to see what UberEats had to offer. Cecil's came up as a search result, and I'm always on the lookout for local businesses that haven't franchised the heck out of themselves. Cecil's offers a really good deal for the price you pay. A pulled pork sandwich with two sides for just $12 is pretty generous compared to other Orlando BBQ restaurants. For my two sides, I went with green beans and cucumber salad, (Yes, I know greens aren't the usual BBQ sides, but don't judge me). The pulled pork sandwich was a good size, but what really pulled it together was Cecil's sweet BBQ sauce added on top of it. This is some of the best BBQ sauce I've had in the Orlando area. I would buy a gallon of it if offered. Unfortunately, I have to knock a star off for the sides. It's not that they were bad, they were actually pretty good, but they could be better. The cucumber salad tasted like just some cucumbers thrown together without anything extra on top and the same with the green beans. They were fine, but they could have used a little extra pizazz. I'd recommend adding additional BBQ sauce packets to the side dishes or your own seasoning of choice. I'm looking forward to my next experience with Cecil's. They certainly have the potential to rank among the best BBQ Orlando has to offer, and I already consider them greater than some of Orlando's established BBQ joints.

Yelp
Cecil's really surprised me! I thought that Mission BBQ and 4 Rivers were the best BBQ joints around Orlando UNTIL last night, when we decided to pop in to Cecil's'. I was blown away! They had a great selection of meats-from brisket and pulled pork to chicken, turkey breast, & sausage. The hot sides were vegetables (serve yourself) and ranged from collard greens, jalapeño mashed potatoes & BBQ beans to fried okra to spicy beans or green beans. They also had three or four salad/cool items from which you could pick sides when your order the small or large dinner plate. They also have sandwiches, soft-serve ice cream, cornbread and mini pies. They have bottled beers and of course soda and tea! I tried the turkey, pulled pork and brisket- all cooked and seasoned to perfection!! The fried okra was a treat-FOR SURE!! Lots of indoor seating, a very friendly staff and very reasonable prices which made for a fabulous casual dining experience. OH! I forgot to mention yummy Texas Toast which comes with dinner options. Great experience! Thanks Cecil's!!

Yelp
I'm so glad Cecil's is still in business. Every time I travel to Orlando I always stop here and I am never disappointed. The freaking brisket just melts in your mouth. The texas toast is heavenly and the fried okra and sweet potato soufflé is to die for. You have to visit Florida to get some real Texas bbq.

Yelp
Finally got to stop in here after 2 years of only being able to get my Q fix by having this wonderful food delivered. Only been a couple of small changes but the food, service and prices are as great as they have always been. If you love Texas barbecue and haven't been here you need to stop by and check it out.

Yelp
This is an Orlando staple just a few miles from downtown. This spot is locally owned and hasn't changed their approach since day 1. I wish more people talked about Cecil's barbecue but then again, it's also a bbq speakeasy :-) I have had just about everything on the menu. Their brisket is by far the best in Orlando and their sides are made and cooked to perfection. One of the best things about this place is, it's all à la cart. Do you want one rib with a half a pound of brisket? You got it. do you want two ribs a half a pound of pulled pork with a slice of brisket? You got that too. It's what you want in a barbecue place! After you've consumed some of the best barbecue you have ever had, I will invite you to try their soft serve ice cream machine located right next to the soda fountain. Just to the right I will also recommend trying their different sauces that they have ready. I could probably tell you 1000 different times on what you should order here but then I would be hurting this review. Try everything that they have and then come back and try something else again. Best BBQ in Orlando!

Yelp
I spent 6 years in Texas and this BBQ is every bit as delicious as anything I ate there. They take pride in their product and their customer service goes above and beyond. I'm addicted to their okra, YUM!

Yelp
You're not going here for the service or the atmosphere, but you'll still get both. This is the BBQ you should be getting in Texas, but somehow it's in Orlando, Florida.

Yelp
First of all the food was amazing and was right next door to Rockpit brewing, the ambiance was a bit lacking and if you like country music this place has got it.The service normally for us was pretty good but sadly they got rid of the cheerwine, this didn't stop my weekly dinners/lunches here but it was a little disappointing.

Yelp
I'm going to go with four stars, because honestly Cecil's can be hit or miss. I've ordered several times now and I'm not always 100% satisfied. I've ordered from the special menu for Rockpit and through Cecils. First, the pulled pork sandwich. It's just not my favorite, often pretty dry. The way I make it better is I actually drowned it in their hot bbq sauce, which I do love. If it wasn't dry, I think it would make it so much better. I do LOVE the jalapeño mashed potatoes and the green beans, I always lean towards those things at bbq places and you just can't go wrong. Pulled pork tacos, same thing. Dry. Add lots of bbq sauce. Loaded tots on the Rockpit menu, they're so good It's a hit every time we come to visit! I forget what the name of it is, but it's a pulled pork sundae maybe? I like the concept, but the portion size was smaller then i was expecting for the price, and it left me feeling hungry still. Not very filling at all which was a disappointment. Banana pudding is probably one of my favorite things here, I get it every visit if they're not out. Texas mudd is okay, I've had better. Overall, it's not my favorite or the best of the best, but I'll continue to get it. Especially if I'm at rockpit, but it's not something I'd go out of my way for or get excited for.

Yelp
Such a disappointment. The atmosphere has changed. The food quality has slipped and witnessing others, the place is missing something. After speaking to some of the staff, I found out the place has changed owners. Got it. The moral of the staff is down, the food is eh, the prices continue to climb (check photos form past to present), the pressure to tip at check out and more so greed. Not to mention their side deal with the brewery, they still overcharge for food! Now I know inflation will be to blame, increase wages, etc.... but simply it's all smoke and mirrors. Remember covid? That was the initial price hike that has never ended. Now corners are cut, recipes are different, you may be served all fat brisket, gritty potatoes or slim portions. This place used to be busy, steady flow of customers. Now the parking lot is bare even during lunch special times. Of course the disrespect shown to the military and community is still observed. Can't confirm if law enforcement still gets heavy discount. Simply summed up, if your looking for a place keep an open mind and take a drive. The once great local spot now feels like a vacuum after your wallet. Owners and leadership should seek advice form the community on how to make this once great establishment a place where smiles and great food can once again be enjoyed.

Yelp
The ice cream machine has been "out of order" since the new ownership took over. They conveniently have small desserts for sale for $4 though. It used to be a nice perk to balance out the price but since this McDonald's style move we stopped going.

Yelp
The food is good but not great. Not really distinctive from any other BBQ place. I prefer 4Rivers. As for the service, the guy who took our order was clearly in a bad mood and seemed to get mad whenever someone ordered something. So stop here if you're in the area and want barbecue but don't go out of your way.

Yelp
I was shocked at how a joint in Orlando could have authentic Texas bbq. WOW. Sides were very good. The only thing that was weak were their green beans. I'll go back.
