Yikes! We went here because they are local, and we are new to the area. My husband and I both like German food, and this brewing company seemed to have a pretty good menu for German food.
The inside was like a typical microbrewery. It was clean, and spacious. You seat yourself, and we found a booth to settle into.
The menu for the "Bavarian" food, was good enough for us, if a bit limited, but we decided on a weinerschnitzel for me and my husband had the mixed grill, which had potato wedges, red cabbage, two meatballs, a slice of ham, and 1/2 of a brat.
You have to self order at the bar, and then they bring you the food. You have to option to have your card charged before you eat, or after, so we did it before.
After about 20 minutes, they brought out our food. My weinerschnitzel was HUGE, and covered most of the plate, however, it was drenched in some sort of oil, or butter. I mean, there was a literally pool of it in the center. The breading was soggy...VERY soggy. It came with seasoned potato wedges as well, a tiny container of cranberry sauce, and some, what I am guessing was a tiny container of herbed butter, or something. It was like spreadable butter, but grainy.
My weinerschintzel was hot, but also tasteless. It seemed that they forgot to put ANY seasoning on it. It was kind of like eating soggy cardboard. The potato wedges were cool to the touch, not even a little warm.
My husband's dinner wasn't any better. The two meatballs he got, tasted like a mixture of mostly bread, or bread crumbs and maybe some hamburger, and they were cold. The slice of ham, looked just like Spam to me, but he thinks it was ham. In any case, it was CLEARLY from a can. His potato wedges were also cold. I tasted the sausage he got. There was some cheese in the middle of it, that tasted exactly like what they put on nachos. The funny thing about his meal is that it was served in a cast iron mini skillet, with a towel wrapped around the handle. It was NOT HOT. Clearly just for show.
He let the bar know that our food was cold. Eventually, the waitress came out, and said they would replace his food, and that the manager would come see us.
After another 15 or 20 min., the waitress reappeared with a bowl with some hot potatoes in it, and two more meatballs, which were room temperature.
By the time they brought out his meatballs, my food was cold.
The best thing about the entire meal were the hot potato wedges, and that is a sad thing since our dinner cost +/- $33.00.
The manager never came to see us, and we were sadly disappointed in the food and service. Never going back there.
