Cedars Restaurant & Chicha Lounge

Came here a few times and now I know I will be coming in regularly. Hookah is quick to come out. Smooth and full of flavor. They change the coals frequently. We have ordered so many drinks here and all have been perfect. Sahleb was thick and well made. Mint tea is so fresh they even put REAL MINT leaves in the pot! So great. The coffee and the lattes are so smooth and the presentation is professional. Bathrooms are always clean. Place is always busy but service is still fast. Prices are amazing and fair. No bad things to say.

Menu is very diverse, food is great especially the chicken shawarma platter and fattouch, generous portions! Try their fruit cocktails! Their shishas are reasonably priced. And the service is beyond amazing, especially Ahmed!! I highly recommend.

I visited Cedars and ordered the beef and lamb shawarma, but unfortunately, it was terrible. The meat was dry, overcooked, and lacked flavor, which made it an unpleasant experience. Additionally, the service was disappointing. When I requested napkins, I had to wait a long time for them, which was frustrating and unacceptable. Overall, the food and service did not meet expectations, and I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience. I hope improvements are made in both food quality and customer service.

I had the pleasure of being served by Ahmed during my recent visit, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment we were seated, Ahmed made us feel welcome and comfortable with his warm smile and attentive service. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations and answering all our questions with patience and professionalism.

I had a fantastic experience at Ceddars Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and generous portions, but what truly made the visit memorable was the outstanding service by Ahmad. From the moment we walked in, Ahmad was warm, welcoming, and attentive. He took the time to explain the menu, made great recommendations, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His friendly attitude and professionalism really stood out. You can tell he genuinely cares about the guests and loves what he does. Very recommended.

Went around noon, service was excellent and food was brought out in a timely manner. Ordered the chicken shawarma and chicken tawouk. Chicken was well seasoned but some pieces were a bit chewy/rubbery. Ordered milk tea, it definitely hit the spot. Will give this place another try for sure.

Overall a great place, I’ve been coming here for a little over a year… and Ahmad has been nothing but great to me and my friends. The minute we walk in, he immediately takes us in and gives us great customer service. The atmosphere is a great place to play card, bring your laptop and work, and just great overall.

Cedars is a strange place. On a Saturday night Cedars is filled to the brim with people smoking hookah, playing cards, snacking on appetizers, and having a good time. The issue I found is that they are all middle eastern or Arabic, and as a white couple we were strangely out of place. For the food we truly enjoyed the beef and hummus appetizer, chicken shwarma, and Nutella crepe.

I absolutely loved this hookah lounge. It was really cute inside & played good music that is not overbearingly loud. The staff were soo friendly they make you feel like family. The hookah was excellent & lasted super long. The food was also surprisingly great! Loved everything we ordered. I loveeeed the spinach bites, falafel was super juicy & hummus was excellent the beef on top really took it up a notch.

I was driving late at night and was hungry and AppleMap gave this as the closest place to eat. What a random but interesting find. It's a Wednesday night at 10:30 and the place is packed. Servers are friendly and welcoming. It's like visiting another country. The energy and vibe of the place are pretty cool. Wish I had time to try more of their menu but I was in a rush. Hope to be back when I have time.

Guys I kid you not the juices here are to die for and were the real stars of the show!!! My friend lives near this spot and has been trying to eat here for a while so naturally we came. First the chicken shawarma - honestly not impressed as the chicken isn't super fresh and there wasnt enough sauce but its still good, probably wouldn't order again. I did love the french fries in the shawarma though!!! the juice: literally cant stop thinking about it. its the most fresh and perfect summer drink - full of natural strawberry and cucumber flavor you must order this! my friends got orange juice and that was also sooo bomb! last the crepe: a generic crepe but it did hit the spot! i feel like its hard to mess up on a crepe but good to know they have good crepes at this spot. id come back to explore the crepe and juice menu more

Really bad and rude stuff never clear anything it is been fourth time I am calling they say come we have availability and when get there they say we are full and we can't get anyone they never clear anything waste of the time

I've heard many many many good things about this place, but for some reason I didn't feel the same way as my friends. For starters, it's a lot further than Sir. We walked in, and were quickly greeted and sat down (we weren't able to pick which table we wanted). Since this was our first time, we decided to browse the menu to see if they had any different or unusual flavors. Nope, same old. Perfect, so let's get the usual - guava mint. It took them forever to take our order. I think we waited for a good 20 minutes. Finally ordered and got our hookah. I asked for coca nara's, but they gave us the easy-lites instead. Oh well. It tasted more minty than guava, but that's okay because I prefer that anyways. Onto the ambience and service - Y I K E S. The ambience is fine, but the music is so loud! I felt like I was screaming to my friend who was sitting right across from me! Not only was it blasting, it was Arabic music. Blasting music that I don't understand is not a fun atmosphere for me. No idea how people were able to work in that environment. There's a tent outside for outdoor seating, but it's basically the parking lot. A bit sketchy, if you ask me. Throughout the night, the coal guy would just drop the coals. Not fix the bowl, place the coals on the unburnt area, etc. We had to do everything ourselves. We asked if we could move to another spot because the chairs were uncomfortable, but the server said he had a huge party coming in later so he can't seat us there. It was a huge and a very LOUD party. I'd expect at least every other table to be empty due to COVID, but doesn't seem like they are following properly safety precautions and guidelines. Time to pay - when I called earlier, she said it was $15. Nice! We love a steal! Once I got to the register it was $20+. Very confused. I asked her why the extra and she said because we got the coco nara coals. Umm, no sorry we didn't. She quickly deducted the amount, but if I wasn't paying attention, they'd just take my extra money. The outside is also very dim lit and sketchy. Thank god my friend was with me, because otherwise I definitely would not feel comfortable walking by myself at night to my car. We didn't try the food or milkshakes (which I heard were great), but honestly I don't think I'll return to try then. For customers in the suburbs this might seem like the place to go, but I rather just go to Sir instead!

Such a fun place to hangout with your friends in the DMV area! Excellent food and non alcoholic options! It is super packed on weekends and open past midnight. Wallah Habibi!

Great food, good atmosphere, and an enjoyable environment. There are games you can play, watch some TV, or smoke some hookah. The food there is also great and they stay open late at night so its perfect for a midnight meal! The customer demographics are pretty skewed but that shouldn't shy you away from trying this place.

I've come to this place with my friend. When my friend went inside to enquire, the owner (said his parents didn't name him) and his friend, who's name i heard as Ahmed said that the hookah place is totally reserved, when 9/10 tables were empty. This is the epitome of discrimination and I hope nobody goes through this experience. If anyone can help me with the names of the people who run it, I will escalate it to the management. Reposting as a reply to Sam. I wish what you said was true. First, we did not enter your establishment with beers in our hand, they were in my car (unopened). Second, we asked you if that was a possibility. We neither fought with you about it nor coerced you into agreeing with us. Look man, as an owner you have the right to deny admission to anyone, but when I asked you for a reason, you could've been straightforward with me instead of saying that all the tables were reserved, and that you have no name. Just remember to be reasonable with customers who are also being reasonable to you.

The worst place ever in Virginia. One of the servers or managers I don't know, but what I know is he shouldn't work anywhere! I have been trying almost every six months to give this place a chance, but it doesn't work. Every time I see this guy, he's rude and disrespectful! If he can't work, leave it. How did he stay for years? I don't know!!

We had a large group of twelve people & the service was phenomenal. Not only was the food & shisha great but they also attended to everyone meticulously. Everyone had a grand time. Both the mint tea & the lemon/mint drink were delicious, highly recommend!

Cedar's is a mood. I went there to have a coffee and get some work done. That was not the intended purpose of this place. On a Tuesday around 5, it was much more about socializing with a group of friends around a hookah. It looked like everyone was having fun, but I was the awkward girl drinking Turkish coffee with my laptop. The guy next to me got a text from a friend asking if he wanted to go to Cedar's. He responded with a photo of a hookah; he was already there. It seems like Cedar's is definitely a Thing. I got the chicken shawma and it was pretty groundbreakingly good. Chicken marinated with slightly cinnamony spices, wrapped up with some mashed potatoes, a pickle, and a sauce. So insanely good and it wasn't even piping hot.

Just certain things should be more important Such as customer service , I got there and waited 17 mins and counted before being served , luckily hookah came quick, hear me out , I'm a heavy set construction worker I clock in around 4am get off at 230, I wanted to come relax , and some how I dozed off on the couch , when I asked for coal refil lady comes and tell me to pay my tab and leave that they can't provide service . Now I get it bad look on me but you can't get a check up or warning , just give your money and leave . Other hookah handle that way better then this place

My group of friends are geographically dispersed and we usually go to Tysons for hookah but someone looked Cedar's up and it's exactly the halfway point for us. We decided to try it out and we've been back a few times now. Nice thing about them is their chairs are comfortable which is a problem at most hookah bars. Nice decor and the staff is friendly. They don't have sahlab on their menu but we asked if they had it regardless and they were able to make it for us! I love sahlab and can't usually find somewhere that makes it well. I appreciate how they went out of their way to make it. We ate once as well and the presentation of the food is amazing. I got the beef shawarma plate with fries and they give you a little individual ketchup bottle that's super cute. It's a lot of food and I ended up taking half of it home. My friends got the chicken markook sandwich which looked amazing! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Hookah is pretty good as well. Only thing I didn't like is they don't leave you a few coals to light on your own. Whenever we would ask for a new coal we would literally have to wait for 10 minutes until someone came around with a lit one. They leave you tongs so why not coal too? Overall Cedar's is pretty nice and probably will stay in our rotation of places to meet up. But they definitely need to be a little faster with the coals and bringing the check (we had to ask 3 times).

I'm not Lebanese; however, I've always been fascinated by cultures different from my own and I had enjoyed my 5+ visits to Cedar, in the past. Tonight, June 3rd, I did not. I arrived around 10:00pm, alone (as I usually do). Because they were swamped with customers, I had to wait along with 10 or so other people, some of them were seated first, because tables of four or more had opened. I could appreciate how I was best suited for a table of one or two. So I waited about 20 minutes for a table. Fine. I'm a patient person. So then 20 minutes after my arrival, I got a table and ordered a hookah and a mango smoothie. I received the hookah almost immediately, but with no coals. I was asked what kind of coals I wanted, and I opted for the cube-shaped coals. I thought those would arrive. They did not. My mango smoothie arrived. And I saw the guy who distributed coals going from table to table. tables near me and tables far from me, and each time I tried to get the guy's attention he'd twirl in another direction. Away from my line of sight. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it felt disrespectful. Fifteen minutes after receiving my hookah, and after me having two sips of my smoothie, the guy finally saw me. I patiently asked for coals for my hookah. He appeared apologetic, and arrived ten minutes later with coals. So 45 minutes after my arrival, (without taking a single puff of the hookah I paid for), (and tipped 18% for), I lost the desire or heart to smoke in Cedar. I was pissed off. I didn't raise my voice. I paid and was respectful in leaving. But I was so heartbroken for being so disrespected by a place I so respected.

Great food, service, ambiance. Highly recommend! Used to go to Dc/Arlington till I was recommended here. Now I come here instead of going to DC or Arlington.

This is a good spot for a smoke in Ffx.. Hookah is good.. Food is great. However.. Staff need to smile more :)

For once I thought this place actually stood out but then I come to find out the owner of this store is actually garbage. He treats people like trash. Why go to a place to someone who's rude and entitled. Such a huge disappointment. Never coming back here again. I can understand why the staff is also rude because the owner probably treats them terribly. Literally so many other better places with kinder people. This place isn't it. Literally nicer locations anywhere else but here.

This place has so much potential, yet it falls just short on certain aspects. Let's start with the good - the space. It's really nice, and I love the aesthetics - the pictures, the lighting, the seating arrangement, the high ceilings, the sound and the acoustics. The hookah is good and the food is decent, but service is almost non-existent. It's like I'm on a mission to uncover who is my mystery server? Regarding the food - I ordered the gyro, but strangely, my gyro had tahini on it, as opposed to the yogurt or tzatziki sauce that it's normally served with. Tahini goes on falafel or meat shawarmas. Also, when I think of gyros, I think of a very meaty texture. I want to struggle to fold my pita around the gyro meat. Be generous with the portion! I was disappointed when my gyro arrived because the gyro meat was so thinly sliced into a paper-like texture. It had more vegetables than I would have liked. I don't want to eat pita and veggies, otherwise I would have picked a vegetarian option. 3.5 stars - plenty of potential, yet lots of areas to improve upon.

I recommended this place to a group of friends on a Friday night. Long story short, the service is trash. They scratched my name off the wait list and let 2 other groups in Bc "they cool". After An hour of wait (they promised less than 30min) they said ok they will find a spot for us. We waited 30 more minutes for this "spot" before decided to just call it a night. Avoid at all costs!

Food is Amazing. Especially, Ramadan buffet was really good. Enjoyed the atmosphere here.

Walked in and seat yourself. No greeting or pleasantries. We sat for a while no service, as we left this sour face waitperson hardly acknowledged us. Waste of time don't bother with this poorly run mess of a place.

The place looks nice and modern, it's also very centrally located. We went there for lunch recently and the food was delicious and authentic based on our order of Mezza Sampler. We also ordered the milk tea but that was very watered down and did not taste very good. The hookah was good but not prepared so we had to get the fire on and prepare it ourselves. This works fine for those who know how to prepare the hookah but for the people who do not know and the slow service It will be a long time before you can take the first puff. The service was very slow and little attention is given when it comes to service. I had to go to the front several times and ask for things missing. I would recommend this place however I would also like them to give more attention to Service.

Ordered delivery through Uber eats. 1. Ordered side of fries - received half an order 2. Chicken shawarma sandwich had pieces of chewy uncooked pieces of chicken 3. Grilled cheese sandwich with turkey - had no turkey and was not "grilled" - cold white toast and yellow sliced cheese. Absolutely disgusting food.

I've had my ups and downs with this place. Mostly downs. The hookah isn't great most of the time but I continued to go for the well lit atmosphere that enabled me to do some homework. I use my own WiFi, so essentially , the only thing I liked about this place is the setup. Everything else is so-so. Especially today , after I got a terrible hookah, they failed to fix it although I told them it wasn't good. Complete waste and they definitely lost a regular client. UPDATE: they regained their regular client. The new setup + some extra attentive service and consideration has EARNED them 3 more stars! Though .. the hookah is still hit or miss, the other positive factors make up for it. At lest for me.... 6/2/18 update- I'm never going back to this place. Terrible experiences over and over again ... there's no point to keep trying to give a place another chance when they've already showed you that they don't value your business.

I have been coming here on and off for almost 6 months. It is an excellent place to get schoolwork done and relax. I am a huge critic of hookah. The hookah here is usually very good. They could add a wider array of flavors (pumpkin spice would be awesome) and introduce coconut coals, but their list of flavors isn't bad. Service is better than most hookah stops. The atmosphere is inviting and the aesthetics appeal to those looking for a cafe to read, work, or relax. I have not tried the food so I could not comment on that.

WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER. Please save your time and money and do NOT come here. The owner and the cashier Shirin have the worst attitude. Instead of apologizing for messing up our order and over charging us, I was told "nothing can be done." Also, the falafel "PLATTER" ONLYY came with falafel and mint leaves that I could've easily plucked from my backyard. No rice or pita bread either.....HIGHLY overpriced for no reason SMDH!! Save your money and go to McDonald's.

I ordered a burger and I got food poisoning. I feel like crap right now and I can't sleep. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They also forgot to put stuff on the burger that was listed on the Uber Eats menu. I only took a few bites before I knew something was wrong. Now here I am a few hours later miserable and waiting for this to pass.

Absolutely horrible. Don't waste your time with this place, there are plenty of better hookah bars in the area. They have no organizational system. People that come in after you will get seated BEFORE you. I waited for over an hour and saw people arrive after me get seated Before hand. The owner made some BS story up. Take your money elsewhere.

The hookah cafe is fairly new. It's actually connected to Cedar's Gourmet Cafe so you can always order some food from the cafe while enjoying your hookah. I like the hookah here. It taste good and it comes with a disposable hose . I'm a germaphobic so disposable tubes are the way to go. Wait staff is friendly and since they are fairly new there isn't much of a crowd for now. This makes it a little easier as there's less second hand hookah smoke. There is 3 giant TV in the hookah lounge so you can smoke and watch the game. When I was here they had a basketball game going on the TV. You can also replenish your hookah supply if need any. They sell shisha and coal here as well. The price for hookah and drinks are moderately priced. Typically a lot of the hookah cafe tend to up their drink prices to make more profit but this place doesn't so it's a plus.

I absolutely love this place, it's a place i ALWAYS recommend to all of my friends, and never stop talking about. The hookah is above average, and the food and drinks just keep getting better. I love the vibe, the music, the people, the atmosphere, i love it! So now you're probably thinking why i'm rating it a one-star. BECAUSE OF THE CRAP SERVER. Yes server not servers. One of them is EXTREMELY RUDE and you can tell she basis her attitude off of tips. I was studying alone waiting for some friends, this servers shift was about to end, so she went to every table letting them know she's leaving and if she should- and i quote- "Should i close the tab now or transfer your table to the next server that comes in, so she can get the tip" This is not the first time i've witnessed her doing something like this. The way she speaks to customers is unimaginable, of course unless you speak arabic and she knows you're going to tip her well, she then treats you like royalty. I don't know her name, but I saw her in her Audi smoking. So who ever she is, she needs to go. Never in my life have I ever heard someone ask this. I was so appalled. She is extremely rude, and everyone around me notices it, they simply choose not to say anything. Honestly, whenever she's working, I stay no more than 30 minutes and move on my way.

Possibly the worst service I have ever received jn a restaurant. The waitress was clueless to the point of being rude. Skimpy portions. The "fresh " juices were filled with pulp. I really used to like this place. It's in need of management.

Cozy, friendly, delicious food and drinks. The staff are very friendly, Nino, Naila, Ahmed, Touleen, and all of the other unnamed staff are amazing. Good service, they do take their time, but I understand since it is very busy. Great service and experience.

This is the real deal - authentic and really tasty. I tried chicken shawarma, beef shawarma and the falafel. All are real taste of Lebanese mix. Highly recommended and Excellent service as well. This is the best I have had ever in the states.

I went in with a friend to get some knafeh (a dessert) and the three people in the front didn't even acknowledge us. My friend asked the server if that was the knafeh...no response, she didn't even look up from the screen. The two guys were just standing there doing absolutely nothing. This one random lady came in the door and they said hello to her while we are just standing there and started a conversation about the knafeh. She decided to buy the ENTIRE dish and we said that we were there for the knafeh too so hopefully they can make both of us happy....well the guy goes to the back and gets a to-go container to put the entire knafeh for her and we are literally just standing watching the whole thing. I asked when the next knafeh will be ready they said "one hour". We had no choice but to walk out, literally the worst experience I ever had in my entire life. Absolute trash service.

I have been going to Cedars for the past couple of years and I can tell how everything changed. The service, the food, and the environment too. The prices are very reasonable compared to other hookah places. Once you become a regular customer they treat you like family. All servers are great and I always enjoy going there.

Good food and good hookah. They usually have Arabic music playing at a moderate level and large screens for games, etc. They have a very broad menu selection- my friends liked their food, mine was good except it was a bit colder than I would have liked. The service was surprisingly really good so It made up for the cold food. I'm sure if I said something the server would've warmed it up for me! I would go back, and would also recommend this place to a friend. My only feedback to the management is to make sure the food is a tad bit warmer!

One of the few hookah lounges that have good food and good hookah. Only downside is that they're always full and wait times are super long so I would definitely recommend making a reservation , other than that its a great place with a great atmosphere!
