The food was amazing!! My mom and I ordered beef and chicken shawarma so tasty and flavorful and so full. I was full before it even was finished lol. I also recommend you try their tabouleh sauce! Amazing!! The customer service was as even better, greeted us with care and making sure everything was alright. I definitely recommend! It wasn’t my first time there but it gets better each time I’m there

This was my first time coming and let me just say they did not disappoint. When I came i wasn’t feeling the best but the food was so perfectly prepared and served with so much flavor. I am so glad we are able to experience other cultural eats and support small businesses in our community.

The food here is delicious and is presented beautifully. Workers and owners had great hospitality. One of my favorite restaurants in town. Would recommend the chicken shawarma plate.

I always enjoy trying new foods. I had the arabic shawarma, Dubai chocolate, and I sampled a couple of others. The shawarma was fantastic, a nice crunch, not too strongly over sauced. I don't know what was in it, but I certainly want another. Dubai chocolate... oh man. Absolutely delicious. Creamy chocolate and a hint of baklava. A first, hopefully not the last time I have some of that. I also had some Arabic tea, which was very good. I don't drink much other than water. This thing has me amped up. I'm guessing a caffeine thing. I highly recommend it without sugar. The place is clean and staf are super friendly. I am assuming that the grill makes a pungent smell that stings a bit. Either way, I really enjoyed the location. The food was amazing, and everyone was super cool. Loved it!

Absolutely amazing authentic Lebanese food — everything is freshly made and full of flavor! You can really taste the quality in every bite. The customer service is top-notch — friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. Every dish we tried was delicious — from the hummus and shawarma to the grilled meats and fresh salads. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is warm, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Mediterranean flavors — you won’t be disappointed! 10/10

If you like Mediterranean food like shawarma, humid, pita, kebabs, Cedars is about to become one of your favorite places. I had the chicken shawarma and my wife had the beef shawarma, both were not a sandwich order. It was a mistake to order 2 plates because they were massive. You can easily share a plate. The good news? We have at least 2 lunches worth of food. Still a win. The tangy salad was refreshing, the humus was perfect consistency, the potato chunks were golden and paired fantastically with the yogurt sauce, and the chicken and rice were full of flavor. The plates were full of nutrition. I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere. If this place had 5 stars there food would not be as good. They are cooking their meat on a kebab right in front of you. It is hot. This is the atmosphere you want in a kebab place. This atmosphere makes the food good, but yeah, it is not a cafe you are going to sit in for hours. The dining room is functional. It is a gift to you the customer if you are on the run and need to stop for food but can't take it with you. There is plenty of seating. If you like hot rooms, you will love this place, most people will be warmer than they are used to. That's ok. During the winter, you will love the heat of the kebabs. In the end, you won't care either way because the food is so good that you will keep coming back. The service is great. You see your cooks working hard for you in the heat to serve you some of the best shawarma and kebabs in town. You will be back again and again and again. It's simple good food bursting with flavor served by good people bursting with love for their craft and their customers. Go for lunch, go for dinner, get take out, bring your children, bring your family, bring your coworkers and their family. Your stomach will thank you and ask for more.

Quite possibly my favorite new (to me) restaurant we've tried this year! Our plates arrived stacked high with rich, flavorful meat, the greatest garlic dipping sauce, delicious hummus, and the widest variety of bright yet vigorously seasoned vegetables I've had in Memphis to date. Straight from the top of the pile, dragged through every sauce, or beautifully arranged with veggies in a pita, every combination I made with the beef shawarma was fantastic. And so plentiful, I enjoyed two lunches I looked forward to each day. The staff had great attention to detail and were very professional while also being more warm and welcoming than any I've come across in years. We can't wait to go back and bring our extended family!

I can't say enough good things about Cedars! Ashraf the owner is so kind and cares about his customers. He takes pride in the quality of the food and it shows. The Kabab plates are so delicious and healthy. It's impossible to eat here and be in a bad mood! I have introduced so many people to this place over the years and everyone of them is now a regular customer. Go today! You will be glad you did!

I wanted to book a special luncheon for our interviewing applicants traveling in and wanted something besides BBQ. I went and sat down with Ashraf at the Cedars restaurant in Cordova. We planned out the menu and he assured me it would be good and he would bring it himself and on time. He communicated when he was on his way and helped me set up this AMAZING lunch. Everything, and I mean everything was so incredibly good. Our applicants, residents, and faculty raved about it and asked over and over "Where is this from"? I encouraged them to go try it again. There was so much food and several took leftovers. I just ate some of the leftovers for lunch and it was just a good today!! 10/10

Delicious . We tried the chicken shawarma and beef kebab plates. All parts were done like we like flavor wise hummus, yogurt, tzatziki sauce etc. many others around Memphis over or under season. Meats were cooked perfectly. Portions are large enough for sharing. The only downer was the bread didn't taste great. Bland and very thin. $53.00 for 2 plates and 2 drinks. Would eat here again.

Came to Memphis to visit my son. He took me and his mom to Cedars Restaurant. Let me tell you, the hospitality was by far excellent. The food was so amazing and authentic. I had the Beef Shawarma, very flavorful and delicious. The plate was huge, so I will be taking the rest home for dinner tonight. Thank you Cedars for the wonderful

Had an amazing experience, very clean very authentic and the food was so good and so much food , such a hidden gem. I would recommend and I will be visiting soon !!! Get the mix shawarma plate you won't regret it!!!!

Everything was great. From the Hummus To the lamb and chicken dishes. The rice was flavorful. Had a large take out order and everything was packaged with care

I stumbled on this restaurant by accident when someone else's DoorDash order was delivered to me instead of my own. I ordered Mexican and got Lebanese ordered instead! I'm glad it was though because I found a new fave! The beef shawarma plate is SO big that I get two meals from it! It's so flavorful and the garlic sauce is TO DIE FOR! Always get extra!!!

The food here is outstanding ! It's authentic Mediterranean food. I live thirty mins away from this place and will drive out here to get their food. I'm always greeted with the biggest smile and the service is great! I the ambiance is a small family owned restaurant but with big flavors. Always delicious! Can't wait to go back again haha!

I cannot say anything negative about the food; however, the manager apparently cannot count or is forgetful in preparing the food. I live an hour away from Cedars, but was in that area today and stopped to purchase TWO sandwiches. After driving ONE hour back to my home to feed TWO people, I discovered I had only ONE sandwich. When I called to report their negligence in not properly filling the order, I young gal answered the phone. No matter what I said or how I said it, she could not understand what I was talking about. I asked for the manager and was hung up on. After finally getting my call through again, the same gal came on and said she would make me another sandwich. I suppose she wanted me to make a two hour round trip to get the sandwich. I guess dinner will be sparse tonight. As I said, the food is great; however, they have now proven to me that they are not competent to fill an order. With that being the case, I probably will not return.

Update - Food is still delicious. The owner/worker is still borderline rude, but in an indirect way. I repeat, the food is delicious! I suggest ordering and leaving to eat it elsewhere.

We ordered from this place for Sunday dinner. In a word: Tasty. In two words: Very Tasty. We really enjoyed their family plate, which really is enough to feed several families in my opinion. It looked really pretty also if you're into that sort of thing. Definitely an option if you like tasty food.

Went for a walk at Shelby Farms and then had an amazing and very substantial lunch at Cedars. Got vegetarian plate which looked even better than pictures and was delicious! Eggplant was next level. Got Turkish coffee which was perfect. The staff was super friendly and everyone working was hustling to make sure food was tasty and patrons were happy. Great family place with some outdoor seating for a nice day, which it was. Pita could have been better but covered with excellent food it didn't really matter.

The food is fresh and delicious. A large assortment of Middle Eastern dishes. I always get the Vegetarian platter. So many yummy veggie items all on one plate! They are friendly and you get your food quick. The restaurant is clean with an outside seating area for nice days. Definitely recommend.

The Chicken Shawarma plate is amazing! Everyone I've encountered that works here are friendly. They recently upgraded the interior furniture and it looks great. I highly recommend Cedars!

The Cedars of Lebanon form the foundation of a good meal! Not much for atmosphere, but legitimately authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. I typically order the Vegetarian platter, which includes an assortment of classic dishes, including pita bread, baba ganoush (eggplant), hummus, potatoes, falafel, cauliflower, and dolmakathia (stuffed grape leaf wrap). A welcome harmony of flavors. Expect a vary casual, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. Order at the front and your food will be brought to your table. Then pay afterwards. The prices are moderate (about $15-20 per meal). A welcome change from barbeque or fast food prevalent in the area!

Been here once before and it was good ... didn't review it back then. Decided to eat here again and it was very good. You order at the counter , limited menu. Place almost has a deli feel to it. Nothing sexy about the place but the food is very good, the service is good, people are friendly and portions are big. Was a very good experience. It's sort of a little hidden gem. Giving it 5 stars for what it is...

My husband and I decided to try Cedars recently. Upon walking in, the front patio was covered in trash and garbage. We were the only customers at that time so not sure why someone hadn't cleaned it. It looked like garbage had been there a while. There was a faint smell of toilet deodorizer when we walked in so I was getting concerned but we were there so we trudged on. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The interior of the restaurant was clean. We were served our food in a timely manner. My falafel platter was delicious and I have no complaints. My husband had the chicken shawarma sandwich. He liked it but felt it was too heavily seasoned for his taste. Also, his potato's were cool and needed to be heated up. I'm on the fence about returning. While it was good, there are other restaurants,serving the same food, that are better maintained. I took pictures but didn't get the full extent of garbage on the patio because I didn't want to call attention to myself taking pictures.

Excellent! Best Middle Eastern food we have found since moving to the area four years ago. The gyro plate and steak kabob plates were very good!

I used to live in Beirut Lebanon, and I've been craving Lebanese food for quite some time. It was honestly so spot on and so yum! I definitely will be returning. Prices are too bad. The quantity of food you get it's great!! Definitely recommend!

Our family had lunch at Cedars recently and we all really enjoyed our experience. The food is excellent, perfectly spiced and very flavorful. The vegetarian plate I got was so tasty, a little heavier than how I normally eat, but ok for an experience dining out. The atmosphere is clean and bright and has a good vibe. Service was excellent, very friendly! We'll be back!

If you missed food from home, don't hesitate to stop by here. Both hospitality and food will take you back. Strongly recommend everyone to enjoy lunch and dinner here.

The food here is great! I had the falafel plate. The salad was amazing. I could taste each ingredient and the dressing was served on the side. The humuus was fresh smooth and flavorful. and the falafel crisp and very tasty. The portions were large and I couldn't finish it all for lunch. The people are very friendly and service is superb. I would definitely recommend.

Both of these are different times but both are the same thing! I was first introduced to this restaurant by someone who is from lebanon and he said this is the closest thing to authentic lebanese food. Everything was devoured on this plate. I would absolutely go again!

So I've been waffling on how to do this review. My experience was questionable, but the food was good. When I arrived, there appeared to be just a couple of people in front of me in a line that seemed like a buffet/Subway sandwich shop style setup. I didn't see any menu prices, although I had an estimated idea of the prices from their website. I gave a man behind the counter by order and he told me it would be just a few minutes, although I was there about 30 minutes. He seemed knowledgeable about the menu items and told me that the tabouli was a $1 extra than the standard salad as part of the shawarma plate. While seated, I noticed a pile of trash that had been swept up, but not discarded right in the center of the stairway where I walked by to sit. It was never moved while I was there. When I walked over to check the status of my order, the man I gave my order to was chewing and touching his face. These are red flags during these times. Why did I stay, is what I kept asking myself. Anyway, my total was more than expected for a shawarma plate and gyro. But I didn't complain because I understand supply chain issues. Anyway, my shawarma plate was good and my husband enjoyed the gyro. I just hope it appears cleaner before my next visit.

We stopped in for a somewhat late lunch at Cedars and I must say I was impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. Since I had never been there before, I had asked what the man behind the counter would recommend. He gave me a sample of the beef schwarma, chicken schwarma and yhe gyro meat. All three were very good, but I ended up opting for the chicken shawarma. The plate, which was twelve dollars, offered a serious amount of food. I was impressed with both the quantity and, more importantly, the quality of the food. This dish would be something that I would recommend. However, next time I am there, I will probably try the gyro plate. All three of the meats are on Spitz slowly rotating and offered a very tender and juicy finished product. As I had said, anything you go with you really can't go wrong. I would definitely recommend this place. I will also say that I will be returning.

I'm not too familiar with mediterranean foods, but i've always wanted to try it. I looked at SERVERAL places in Memphis, but I saw lots of great reviews about here so I decided to order the chicken shawarma since I have some friends in different states who say it's a great dish. AND LET ME TELL YOU- this place did not disappoint. I enjoyed every bite until I got full, but that's besides the point. 11/10 Will go again.

A hidden gem. Outstanding food. Limited menu but all you need, shawarmas, kebabs, gyros. Bring an appetite or a friend...portions are large. Combo plates include meat, rice, roasted potatoes, salad, hummus, pita and yoghurt. I'll be back. Be patient as they do a huge carry out business as well as dine in.

I love this restaurant. The best food in Memphis. The service is amazing. The owner is so nice. The ambiance is laid back and comfortable. I used to live right around the corner and my family has so many found memories of fun times and good food here. A Memphis treasure!

Shamefully, I've passed by this place numerous times and paid this no mind. Boy I've been missing out! Cedars is a hidden gem tucked in an obscure corner of Kroger shopping center. I've always been a fan of Mediterranean food and Cedars does not disappoint. I ordered food to-go so I didn't really get the full service experience, but for the little time I was there the staff was friendly and treated me kindly. Pretty reasonably priced. They have a lunch special that is a wrap, side of fried potatoes, and soft drink for about $10. Not bad considered the size of the wrap. Upgrade the side for a little upcharge. I opted to not do the combo since I'm not a fan of soft drinks. I had a beef shawarma wrap and full side of tabbouleh - I believe the side for the combo is a little smaller. The wrap was loaded with meats and veggies. The side a nice generous portion. The only thing I wished is that the meat on the shawarma was a little bit warmer. Albeit to be fair it has been cold in Memphis lately and did order take out (but consumed it within 10 mins). Obviously the food was delicious because I was focused on the food, I forgot to take a picture of it! I plan on returning soon to try out more dishes and their popular potato side. I've read good things about them here on Yelp.

If you're thinking about trying this food - do it! We got the chicken shawarma wrap, beef wrap, some falafel, hummus, and arayis. While the pita for the wraps is very thin and makes the sandwich hard to eat before it falls apart - the flavors were awesome and garlicky! If you're getting the hummus, opt for extra pita bread as it's a lot of hummus and only comes with one piece of thin bread. The extra pita is like $3 for a bag of almost a dozen. The arayis is a good try once, but it's basically a beef quesadilla without cheese. And for the falafel... the texture was great, but they had a very strong sour/tangy taste to them which I didn't care for. Overall, very tasty food and I would come back. Don't be afraid to try it!

The gyro sandwich was delicious, better than other places I have tried. Will come back to try other sandwiches. The falafel side was okay.

This is my favorite Mediterranean/ Lebanese restaurant in Memphis. The tastes are very authentic and the portion sizes are really good for the price. I ordered chicken kabob plate- it comes with a salad salad, hummus and pita, along with garlic potatoes and rice. The chicken kabobs are very tender and flavorful so is the rice. Garlic potatoes with the white sauce are so delicious! Hummus is also very authentic and one of the best you'll find in Memphis. We also order their falafal sandwich. These falafals are soo flavorful, one of the best I have ever had. We also loved their tabouli salad and baba ganoush. This is our go-to place for a quick take-out. Make sure you try their Namoura cake, it's delicious!

Cedar's is hands down the best Mediterranean food I've ever had! I highly recommend the beef kabobs - well seasoned, well charred, cooked until tender... it was delicious. After trying the family platter, I'm convinced the entire menu is just as good. Don't take my word for it though, go try it.

Food was delicious and would come back and try the lamb next time. We shared the beef plate and it was plenty of food. Hope they make pistachio baklava next time. Friendly service!:)

Still not one bad thing to say about this place! Today my sister and I were craving fresh food and decided to stop in here for lunch. It did not disappoint!! The rice here is always super soft with the perfect flavor, the potatoes are fantastic, and the gyro meat the right combination of tender and browned. And please, please don't even get me started on their hummus!!!! Pretty sure THAT is my favorite part!!! I really love this place and highly recommend you try it out!

A quaint restaurant in the back of a strip mall, Cedars Restaurant serves up fast casual Lebanese and Mediterranean food. The food is decent and reasonably priced. You get good portion sizes on the entrees and sides. It's neatly served despite being on a fully loaded plate. It's a great option when I'm trying to eat clean because the food is healthy and tasty.

Only had the chicken kabob plate. It's tasty the food taste fresh and not overwhelming with too much spices.
