"If you’re searching for a dining experience that encapsulates the essence of Galician cuisine, make sure you book a table at Ceibe, an adjective that describes someone “who is able to choose and manage the way they act and think”. The escabeches, pickles and marinades on offer here are the signature of this restaurant close to the cathedral in which the striking and traditional stone walls combine with a minimalist look and a kitchen that is very much part of the dining room. Here, Lydia del Olmo and Xosé Magalhaes are keen to ensure the flow of guests’ dining experience, as part of an interesting culinary journey across Galicia that includes emblematic dishes such as the “boliño de cocido”. Its tasting menus, Xeito (only available for lunch from Tuesday to Friday), Enxebre, and Esmorga, all have close ties with the local terroir and both start with a traditional “queimada” – a typical Galician drink. A great experience! Food was very good, service was superb, the chef was super friendly and was super interested in us and making sure we felt comfortable. We even had a blackout due to a large power outage, but the staff kept us comfortable and gave us the most amazing bread, homemade butter and olive oil. Overall loved the whole experience and will come back!

What a remarkable find for a small town. Run by two local chefs who’ve worked and travelled the world, then settled down back home. Ceibe showcases local traditions and seasons with a distinct modern touch. Theres’s two tasting menus so being dinner, we chose the smaller one and there was plenty of variety. Starting with a selection of aged fish, we were served a range of dishes representing the season and even their own take on a type of cecina - sort of like beef jamón - made with heritage breed rump cap. Desserts were similarly thoughtful, and the price spectacular for the quality on offer. What a terrific place!

This was an exceptional experience where everything is well thought out from the smallest detail! All ingredients were super fresh and locally produced in Galicia. The service was impeccable with our waiter well spoken in English. The texture and flavour of each plate was incredibly and paired with very fine wine. Highly recommended!

Delicious and exceptional value for 35€ tasting menu. Michelin star service in a beautiful environment and delicious food beautifully explained using local Galician ingredients. Would certainly try the larger menu next time.
