Where to Drink Guinness in Central Florida This Holiday Season | Eater

"The family behind this small-town bar in sprawling Celebration came to Central Florida after opening successful spots in Massachusetts and Fort Lauderdale. And rather than importing an Irish pub to the area, Celebration Town Tavern instead brings a bar that feels like a little slice of the Northeast. You’ll notice the accents can skew slightly New England, which only seems appropriate when ordering up a lobster roll as a holiday treat." - Matthew Meltzer

Celebration Town Tavern is one of those places where everything just feels right — cozy, friendly, and full of genuine charm. The seafood is fresh, the portions generous, and the staff make you feel like a regular from the very first visit. The atmosphere inspired me so much that I wanted to create a few personalized, high-quality photos for them — to capture their spirit and help attract even more guests. I truly wish this wonderful place continued growth and success

Me and my family really enjoyed dinner. It's a Boston based Tavern, great menu, seafood and bar style food. The community was lit up with lights for the holidays. Can't wait for round 2 next Florida vacation 🤩

Had lunch today at Celebration Town Tavern and it was fantastic 🤩. I ordered the lobster roll plate and everything was spot-on. The lobster was fresh and tender, the bread was soft with a nice toast, and the fries were hot and crispy 🍟🦞. Even the coleslaw was delicious, crunchy and well-seasoned, not too heavy. Service was excellent too. Our server was super friendly, quick, and made great recommendations 👏. You can tell the whole staff cares about making sure guests have a great experience. Prices are very fair for the quality and the portion you get 💵✅. Great food, great service, and a welcoming vibe... definitely a place worth coming back to! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

How great it was to have been met by Cheryl a fellow NewJersian as our server. She was so familiar with our area and spent time chatting with us. The fried clams were great and shipped from Boston! Other food was so good too!

Celebration Town Tavern has always held a special place in my heart. When I lived in Orlando, I used to go almost every week, sometimes to watch games (including the 2022 World Cup and other sports), and sometimes just to enjoy the atmosphere. They always treated me incredibly well. As someone with a gluten allergy, I truly appreciate how they consistently accommodated me with care, making sure everything was safe and comfortable. Even now, living in another city, I still go back to visit whenever I can; and I always recommend this place to tourists and friends. The photo I’m sharing is of a little heart-shaped chicken I was served; a cute reminder of how thoughtful they are. I have so much affection for this place, and I genuinely feel like the feeling is mutual!

Google
One of the best restaurants in/around the Orlando area. We always make it a priority to eat here when visiting. The food is fantastic, selection of beers wide and varied, and service is fantastic. Other than their lobster, the ribs and onion rings are superb. Although, portion sizes are large, so make sure you’re hungry!

The food is Amazing!! Tender, Tasty, More than enough portions. Debbie the server, what a such sweet lady. We really love the place and the food. Great atmosphere.

Google
We've lived in FL for 20 years but are originally from Cape Cod so we're picky with our fried clams & chowdah. This place has it down! The clam chowder was delicious with good consistency and color. The fried clam bellies were great - sweet, crispy, lightly battered so you taste the clam not the batter. We will be back. They took stuffed quahogs off menu but would love to see them put back on - even seasonally. Great waterfront to walk off fried food afterwards.

Yelp
This review is being written as my 10 year old daughter fed me a scoop of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Fudge Brownie. (she told me 5 Star review now Daddy). She had a Bacon Cheeseburger and I had bacon cheeseburger sliders which come 3 in the order. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Our server Helen was a doll and we loved the British Accent. Burgers were perfectly cooked, I had a lemon drop and a mango margarita for drinks. I fancied (how was that Helen ) the margarita over the lemon drop. Overall everything was amazing the seating area where we sat was dimly lit (though your table has a nice overhead light) and though I'm not from the area this will be one of my new faves and I will highly recommend...... OMG I almost forgot the Dry run wings, as the saying goes, TO DIE FOR!

Yelp
We went in a group of 6 adults. It was busy due to holiday week between Christmas and New Years. The service was pretty good, it was the food I found unimpressive. I had chicken breast grilled with baked potato and broccoli, pretty basic menu items. The only thing hot was my broccoli. The chicken had no flavor and was that odd texture that makes you wonder if it's cooked all the way. It was but lighting was so dark at 4 pm I had to get my phone flashlight out to check. We also need flashlights to read menus. My husband had crab cakes and said they were pretty good. A few pics I got ...

Yelp
Good selection and options. It's good for big groups. They have good service. But the food is not unique. It's a typical American restaurant. If you want a place for a big group and have good options for different dishes and drinks, this is a convenient location in the Celebration Town Center.

Yelp
Roomy place for dining in Celebration. A large menu. Everything we had was tasty (pics). The food is cooked where one can see it. The service was good. Another food restaurant in the area.

Yelp
The hubs had an unexpected surgery while we're here on vacation so my friend and I walked down to Celebration from the hospital for lunch and a walk. This tavern is right on the main drag of this picturesque town. They have a large covered patio with a bar and a large indoor space as well. You can sit and watch the town and people walking by. The menu is Boston-esque. Lots of lobster, clam chowdah, etc. Extensive options for anyone's palate. There are GF options as well. My friend and I each had a mug of the clam chowder ($8), which is available on most weekdays and split the Cape Cobb Salad and added lobster ($28). I was a little hesitant about the dressing which was a creamy mango chutney, but it turned out to be mild and not too sweet, a glorified thousand island, I'd say. The clam chowder was delicious, very creamy with lots of clams. The salad was also delicious. Maybe 4oz lobster, bacon bits, blue cheese, tomatoes, avocado and eggs. It came with a cornbread muffin, which I broke up and sprinkled on top (recommend!). All in all, a solid experience.

Yelp
This is a really cool spot! We were seated promptly and our server was great! The ambiance is really nice too. We started with some clam chowder and it was outstanding. For my entree I had the single lobster and it was really good. For dessert, we shared the brownie and it was tasty. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Great brunch! Service a little slow but super nice. Cute place. Yummy pancake tacos & chicken and waffles.

Yelp
The atmosphere is cute! Our waitress was wonderful, but the food was just okay. We're going to go back and try a few other things. Were had the Buffalo lobster dip it was $16 and was basically a tiny bowl with not much lobster. It was good though, the fries are amazing but our fish was soggy on all the bottoms and not crispy which not a whole lot of flavor.

Yelp
Celebration Town Tavern never ceases to amaze and impress me. We went last night for our annual tradition when my mother-in-law comes to town, and this year was especially meaningful. Not only was my sister-in-law with us, but it was also our son's first Christmas celebration -- and what better place to celebrate than Celebration Town Tavern? The town was buzzing thanks to the Christmas event happening outside -- the tree, train rides, meeting Santa, and snoap falling from the sky creating that perfect holiday vibe. It was busy, but for very good reason. This restaurant truly has it all: Boston-themed menu with both land and sea options Indoor and outdoor seating Yelp waitlist (my favorite feature) We joined the waitlist through Yelp and waited about an hour, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering the crowds. We were seated outside and loved being right in the middle of all the holiday energy. Our waitress was fun, bubbly, and clearly handling a full section, which we completely understood. Despite how busy it was, service was great and the food was delicious. We also learned about their rewards program -- say less. We signed up immediately. I love a good rewards program, and you even get a physical card! In the long run, it works out to roughly 10% back every time you dine. You earn 1 point for every $2 spent, which can be redeemed for specialty meals and dining experiences. All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas celebration at Celebration Town Tavern -- a place where friends and family come together to enjoy Boston-inspired food in the heart of Celebration, Florida. Let's raise a glass of chowderrrrrr and toast Labster Bobby to this fun, lively spot. Give Celebration Town Tavern all the Yelp Elite energy it deserves.

Yelp
Good ambiance, pleasant staff, and the food was fresh even though I didn't love my fish and chips but it may just be me not being into that specific dish. I would definitely be open to coming back here. Pricing was fair, they had pricier options and more humbly priced items. This place is a proper spot for this Celebration strip.

Yelp
First I want to say that I am being generous with my four star review. Four of us went for lunch yesterday and there was things we loved and others not so much. We loved the ambiance and waitstaff! On our food, since there were four of us, our reviews were all a bit different. We started with the onion rings. Five star, absolutely delicious and if you like onion rings, you won't be disappointed. I ordered the calamari appetizer. It was good but not great. I found the calamari to be a bit greasy for my taste. My husband had a bowl of clam chowder. His review was it was good, but he has had better because it was light on the clams. My sister had the Cobb salad with chicken. She said the salad itself was delicious but the chicken was tough to the point it was hard to cut. She gave the salad 5 stars but knocked it down to 3 due to the chicken. Her friend ordered the breakfast burger which came with fries. The burger was on the weekend brunch menu which you can also order a special adult beverage. He got the bloody jack. The burger came with egg and bacon on top as well as cheese. He said it was cooked perfectly and loved the bloody jack. I took pictures but as you can see, we were hungry!

Yelp
This is probably the best spot to eat in Celebration! If you're from Boston, you're in for a treat! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Celebration Town Tavern is such a great spot! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that cozy, small-town charm. Perfect place to relax, grab a bite, and enjoy good company. Definitely a must-visit in Celebration. I want to try everything. I did see lobster in the menu so I will be back to try that.

Yelp
Where do Bostonites go when they're in the Orlando area? Celebration town tavern of course. Myself and some new englanders went here after a day at work and it hit the spot. The menu features Boston favorites and other "tavern fare". Nobody looked at the menu very long because we all knew what we wanted. A lobster roll and one of the 99 beers they offer. I got the maine lobster roll (cold) while the rest of the table ordered the hot lobster roll. Majority said it's up there with the some of the best they've had. My cold one was pretty good as well. The lobster was plentiful. Piled high enough to be the worthy of the lobster cost! The atmosphere is a typical "tavern" but the patio is especially nice on a good weather day. This place is in the constant rotation for trips going forward!

Deka T.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago because anytime I am in Celebration, this place is always packed. The interior lighting was dim and has a lot of themed Boston items I believe. We ordered a variety of items. For the appetizer, i ordered the clam chowder and my dad ordered the teriyaki wings. Both were good... especially the wings. I had the seafood combo, my mom had the lobster tail, my dad ordered the fish and chips and my husband had the steak medallions. Everyone enjoyed their food and would recommend trying this place. The seafood tasted fresh and we had no complaints from this restaurant.

Yelp
Gluten Free review from someone with celiac: Came to Celebration Town with family with the open mind to eat anywhere that we could find GF options. Tavern seemed to have a very thorough menu with clearly marked GF options, so we opted to come here. They were very accommodating as we had 2 little ones in our party. I ordered the lobster tail and let our server Andres know about my gluten allergy and he took the note and proceeded to let me know which sides were GF. I went with the coleslaw and the baked potato. The lobster tail was cooked to perfection. My mom had the lazy lobster casserole and she absolutely loved it. Our table also ordered the calamari and the pot pie, and everyone walked away happily. For dessert the table shared the key lime pie (I did not mind not partaking as I wanted ice cream from the shop down the street), and they were super happy to have ordered it and savored every bite. Had a truly wonderful dinner, and the price was about as expected for 3 lobster entrees, an app, a kid's menu, and dessert. Can't wait to come back!

Jeanne L.

Yelp
The tavern has friendly service, food is good and they are careful regarding food allergies. Went as a party of four on beautiful night and sat at an outside table. Great fun evening.

Yelp
Best food in celebration hands down! Freshest seafood and great selection! Delicious lobster rolls

Yelp
This is an old Irish bar. The food is really good. Ambiance is really nice. Service is very good.

Yelp
Once again, amazing experience. On a Saturday we were sat right away, no wait. At 6pm. Was met by our server and drinks ordered and brought immediately. Started off with the onion rings, a must. Main course was the "light portion" bbq ribs with two sides and this is more than enough food. I brought a lot home. It was a little on the loud side since we were in the bar area, no biggie. Food was out very quickly, drinks and waters were never were half empty. Love this place, can't wait to come back soon. Also I could very easily rate over 5 stars, I just don't rate anything 5 stars. But this place is def one of the few

Yelp
I love this place. Has such great food, great staff, and very coy environment. I love where it's located. After a nice meal I love to walk around downtown celebration. This place has food for everyone and a great place to go with friends.

Yelp
It's been challenging finding a dog friendly restaurant for our Fridays that also has seafood as we are observing lent, but I am so happy to have stumbled across this gem! The various meal options are perfect for those who are picky eaters such as myself. There is a dog friendly area where they also provide you with a water bowl for your pup. It is first come first serve in the dog area, so if there isn't any seating available you may have to wait. I decided to get the lobster tails with a side of mashed potatoes and sweet mash. Everything was delicious!!! The mashed potatoes were creamy, as well as the sweet mash. My s/o got the jumbo seafood scampi & he loved it. I will be making my way back to Celebration to stop by again!

Yelp
A huge lobster fan here! On our last day in Orlando, family wanted to go out with a bang and I was a kid in a candy store finding this place. Situated in a cozy, vibrant town next to a gorgeous little lake, the tavern has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating to chose from! TV's playing spots, which I care not for -- but it might be your vibe! Absolutely loved their lobster clam chowder and the presentation in a mug was the cutest. I ordered a lobster with a side of slaw and mashed potatoes and loved all the above. I believe our servers name was Kristina and she was lovely, my Dad makes the corniest jokes and she entertained them -- kudos. My brother enjoyed the black and blue burger but noted it would've been better toasted -- so maybe keep that in mind when ordering? BEER BATTER PRETZEL APP WAS TOO GOOD. Anyway, thank you for fulfilling my lobster dreams, you guys. Much appreciated.
google avatar

Tara T.

Yelp
Always love getting a meal here. The servers are always very friendly and helpful. The food is always good, no matter what I've tried there. It does get very busy here and since it also has 2 bars, one inside and one outside, it does get loud. They also have 2 outside patios, one of them is dog friendly! A really fun restaurant to stop by if you're in Celebration!

Yelp
Celebration Town Tavern is the highlight of our family trips to Orlando/Kissimmee area outside of the theme parks. Having moved away from New England for a couple of decades, the thing I miss most are fresh fried clams. The wonderful folks/owners of this treasure of a restaurant have the fresh clams flown in from Massachusetts. The ambiance is casual comfortable, the service always warm and efficient.

Al W.

Yelp
Best clam strips ever! Fresh New England seafood flown in daily. Enjoyable outdoor seating on a picturesque village street. Manager Jay, your Southern hospitality will bring us back again!

Sara B.

Yelp
A large party of 10 arrived by 430 and were seated at a great table quickly. Service was very slow. Water was provided when we asked for it. No one was offered refill of bar drinks, soda, tea or even water. A free asked for refills and some got them but not everyone that requested was served. One in our past ordered fish and requested tartar sauce 3 times before receiving it the chicken sandwich was dry and tough. The black and blue cheese burger was Excellent! moist and flavorful. The meatloaf is for a really hungry person and is delicious. The food was completely Hit or completely a Miss. service was inattentive slow. If we go back it will be awhile.

Yelp
Love this place every time we are in town. Service was great. Food was just as it should be.

Yelp
I live in Celebration is Town Tavern has always been a go to spot for overall good food, good drinks, and good people. Nice local spot where everybody tends to know everybody.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant! One of the favorites in the area! Always a go to. Had salmon drizzled with honey lime cilantra glaze which was delicious and had generous portion size.

Yelp
Great place in the middle of celebration. Closes midnight on a Sunday. Service staff was in particular

Yelp
Great food and great service! Grabbed lunch outside here and was excited to see daily AND monthly specials. Theres lots of seating inside and out, and they seemed to be set up to accommodate bigger groups. The server was knowledgeable about gluten free and answered allergen questions with confidence. I know a good wedge salad, and this one was delicious. Complete with shrimp, avocado, and a health serving of cheese and bacon. Also I think the dressing was made in house...so yummy!! We enjoyed our visit and will definitely return back here if in the area, go check them out!
google avatar

Jeremy L.

Yelp
KUDOS to Jay and his entire team for providing supreme quality customer service! HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY! The food samples were delicious! Everything was free from 2:00 to 5:25pm. The ambiance was jamming with good music! All inspired by Boston, MA! I highly recommend all to come and visit to support this local business!

Yelp
The best meal I've ever had. The hot lobster roll is amazing and I've been craving it everyday since I went. The service was amazing and the restaurant was well decorated. Cannot wait to go back. Do not skip out on the lobster roll. Went with 5 other people and they all enjoyed their meals as well.

Susan M.

Yelp
Great locals restaurant. Excellent menu. Service is friendly. Lively atmosphere. Great for families and large gatherings.

Yelp
Love the Boston touch ! The food is New England and our server From old England ! We drive one hour to get there !

Yelp
Overall okay food. We had burgers which were huge and good. Fries were fresh made. Lots of beverages. Noisy and crowded. Try the Celebration Brewery down by the high school. Better.
google avatar

Preston B.

Yelp
Solid brewery right outside Disney for those looking to break away from the crowds. My beer flight was excellent. Solid burger and fries. Wife's Stromboli was a nice treat and change of pace from normal pizza. Add phenomenal service from the team there and you won't be disappointed by choosing Celebration for a cold beer and good food on the patio

Yelp
Every time we visit Florida, we stop in at Celebration Town Tavern. Son and I are Red Sox fans so the decoration is right up our alley. The food is top notch. I've only had the Saturday Night Special in all of my 7 visits because it's so good I dare not try anything else. Great staff overall great place.

Shannon C.

Yelp
I visited the tavern on 7/11 for a couple beers and some food. Below is the burger I had (which now I wish I sent back to cook longer). It came out a little more rare than I'm used too but it tasted delicious. I've never been more sick in my life for the next two days. It was my choice to eat it, knowing how rare it was but lesson learned. Other than that, I've been here a few times and it's always so fun. I had a great night until I didn't.

Kathi I.

Yelp
Located in picturesque Celebration, FL, it was a Boston themed sports bar and grill. I recommend making a reservation because we sailed past many waiting. The place was very busy. However, best onion rings ever came nice and hot. My mother loved her steak tips dinner and my burger was great!

Yelp
I decided on Celebration Town Tavern for Sunday dinner for my family and I. It was a super busy night and there was a 20 minute wait for the 4 of us. We were seated in about 12 minutes!! There's lots of seating in their main dining room, covered outdoor area and the bar. I'm really glad I chose it. Kris Tina was our server and she was awesome. So peppy, super helpful and on top of everything. She had several tables and we never felt like she was spread too much. We ordered gator bites, fried oysters, onion rings and clam chowder for our staters. Everything was soooo good, fresh and well seasoned. The salad was a little floppy and had some bad romaine pieces, but I did appreciate how it was smothered in Caesar dressing. For entrees we had Fish Tacos w/ Fried Grouper, the Combination Fried Seafood Platter, The Lobster Roll and The Maine Lobster Tail. Again, everything was delicious. The fried food was fried to a beautiful brown perfection. Their dips and sauces were even extra yummy. The menu is very extensive and there's definitely something for everyone. The dessert menu looked great, but we were all so stuffed we didn't get anything. I'd absolutely recommend Celebration Town Tavern for any occasion. The service was great and the food was delicious. My parents are really picky about eating out and they gave it a 5 out of 5.

Phil H.

Yelp
I have been eating here for years. Always amazing food and service. The staff is absolutely amazing. Rob M is by far the best server and great person all around.

Bradley E.

Yelp
I've been to the Town Tavern a few times. I've had the Reuben during March. Fantastic. I had the meatloaf stacker. Fantastic. Tonight I asked Holly, bartender, about the turkey stacker. I am not a huge turkey fan at all and she said it was turkey on steroids. It was fantastic. Really, really good. Both Holly and the other dude, sorry, didn't get your name, were fantastic hosts. I will get that again.

Yelp
My parents and I noticed this restaurant is always busy whenever we've gone to downtown Celebration, which usually tells us it is a popular place to eat. We've dined here a few times and have enjoyed the food and the experience. It is next to the diner and across the street from Starbucks. You can park on the street or in a public surface lot, depending on availability and time of day. During peak meal times and the holidays, it can be a challenge to find a spot, so plan accordingly. There's plenty of seating options from the small bar inside, to the two outdoor patios, and the seating inside. They offer an extensive menu of land proteins, salads, seafood, and appetizers - not enough to be as overwhelming as say The Cheesecake Factory, but everyone will be able to find something they like. I'm a big fan of their Mahi Mahi with the fries as they cook it with the option of a blackening seasoning. The brownie sundae is a great group sharing dessert. I prefer a more tart key lime pie but theirs is a good option for those who want a less tart option. Prices range on the menu - again, there's something for everyone. It's a good place for a fun time out or for a slightly nicer meal out (minus formal attire).

Tony D.

Yelp
The Town Tavern is to Celebration what Cheers is to Boston. A place where locals and tourists alike meet to grab a drink, indulge in some New England favorites and share Disney tips and adventures. The Burgahs are to die for dahling! Having a home in Celebration for the last 25 years, we have been to the tavern on numerous occasions, especially for a late night cocktail after a long day at the parks or dinner at one of Celebration's eateries. Great place to catch up with fellow neighbors and interact with interesting international guests. The Tavern has a great happy hour with several food selections and the service usually friendly and cheerful. If you see us there, feel free to say "Hi!"

Breanna H.

Yelp
I want to just write this review for the service as we had a group of 40 of us and all of the staff who served us were so patient and kind with us. Especially lisa who was taking care of our table. I really appreciated her making endless runs to the bar and kitchen for drinks , food and to go boxes! Now the clam chowder was my absolute favorite - if you are there you have to get it it's really good, very creamy with a lot of flavor and clam pieces. For my entree I chose the shrimp fettuccine which I wish had more sauce on it but I think overall I would absolutely go there again and try some other stuff on the menu To give you guys an idea, we went on a Tuesday night at 6pm and IT WAS PACKED! This is the place to be in celebration to eat, so make sure you get there early or make reservations :)

Yelp
Nice vibe and location. The good was good. Being a Yankee fan I was highly offended by all the Sox memorabilia!! Worth a visit!
