St. Paul’s Newest Cocktail Bar Focuses on Women-Run Distilleries | Eater Twin Cities

"Just down the street from the Fitzgerald Theater and in the shadow of the State Capitol, I visited the Celeste St. Paul Parlour Bar, which officially opened its doors on November 1. Nestled on the first floor of the boutique Celeste St. Paul Hotel, the bespoke cocktail program emphasizes spirits from women-owned and operated distilleries, and general manager Laura Needham—who has held culinary roles at The Bachelor Farmer and Minneapolis’s Cosmos—has curated a lineup of unusual wines alongside a menu of bar fare and light snacks. The hotel and bar’s name pays tribute to the historic Beaux-Arts building that once housed St. Agatha’s Conservatory of Music & Arts and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, and the bar itself is built in one of the conservatory’s former parlors; it includes a small annex that can be sectioned off for private events and partnerships with local caterers, wine and liquor tastings, chef pop-ups, and more. I found it open during afternoons and evenings, Monday through Sunday, on Exchange Street in St. Paul." - Julie Yu

My husband and I stayed at the Celeste of St.Paul last night. We had a minor nuance issue that led to Colleen and Carrie going out of their way to make our stay an exquisite experience! They are exemplary employees and my feeble words can't begin to express our gratitude for this experience. The room was incredibly beautiful, as was the rest of the building. We had a great night's sleep and also enjoyed our breakfast in the beautiful chapel! We will definitely be back. In the meantime, we will be singing their praises to everyone we know.

I stayed here one night for a concert at the palace theater on a Saturday night. My friend and I walked to the palace and back and felt safe. Look up on the hotels website where they recommend to park. If you're prepared, it's easy enough. Interesting history to the hotel gave some charm to staying here vs any other cookie cutter hotel. Rooms were clean and the free breakfast was delicious. The food and drinks at the hotel bar/restaurant was delicious but a little pricey. We were prepared for that being in the city though. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm ever needing to be in the area.

Architecture nerds rejoice! The building is really cool and historic. The lobby and bar are especially nice. The windows are old and original so they're a little drafty but it never felt uncomfortable in the room. The beds are much more comfortable than i would have expected. It's a really nice hotel. The one star reviews are truly unhinged from my experience. Someone from san Francisco, of all places, complaining about how unsafe it felt. Homeless people do exist, in every city. I've never felt in danger walking around St. Paul at night and, frankly, the city seems to be doing better post-covid than a lot of other places. Much more life downtown than there ever used to be. Parking is super convenient, but not owned by the hotel. If you're staying more than one night it might behove you to "lose your ticket". Just saying. I really liked it here. Would stay again. Absolutely.

Funky, cool hotel that has been renovated from a former nun convent. Has fantastic access to venues such as the Fitzgerald and Palace theater. Pretty good pricing, which included a fairly nice breakfast! Rooms decor is minimal and could use a few more amenities such as luggage stands and a comfy chair for reading. Lobby bar is a nice place to gather and meet other guests, though the drinks are pricy. Overall, I will return and enjoy my stay here when in the city for events!

This review of the Celeste of St. Paul Hotel and Bar is long overdue; we stayed in August 2025. We were in town for a family event. We arrived rather early in the morning and Jericho was working the front desk. He graciously let us check in so we could get settled. We had a couple of room issues but nothing that could not be fixed. Carrie also was working the front desk; she carefully listened to our minor issues and immediately provided a solution. Carrie and Jericho should be given proper accolades as their customer service skills are top notch. Jericho gave us a document detailing the history of the hotel which I found fascinating and I loved the history! The pictures of the nuns in the hotel and room were so intriguing and added a perfect touch related to the history. I loved walking on the worn stairs and pictured the students and school staff there too. The breakfast was perfect to start our day. It was nice to end our day with a delicious drink in the bar, the bartenders who attended to us were very kind. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy stay, and I suggest requesting rooms facing the Capital building. Thank you, Carrie and Jericho, for being so considerate and going out of your way to make our stay at the Celeste extremely pleasant!

Google
I love this Hotel. Use to be a convent. Old & Vintage. The rooms are very comfortable. Hot breakfast is included which is just OK. No parking but there is nearby parking. Lunch or Dinner has to be had at nearby restaurants. You have to take steps to get to the lobby. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. The hotel is great but it lacks conveniences.

We rented the suite and upon check in was not told how to get to the room. We walked around the wrong floor aimlessly then had to go back downstairs to get the staff to show us our room was located on a different floor up a separate flight of stairs. Our room did not have working heat, which we didn’t realize until we woke up in the middle of the night to the thermostat reading 50 degrees. With no extra blankets anywhere (even though we had a pull out couch available that we could not use), we had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to get help. The staff was not apologetic about it or offer anything other than telling us they didn’t have maintenance people available and switching rooms was our only option. When we got to the new room the heater made weird creaking noises non stop. The shower had almost no water pressure and was luke warm at best. We understood that the hotel was located in very old building, but it looked and felt every bit of how old it was. It felt like the room was in need up some much needed upgrades. This was our second stay at the Celeste, with our first stay having other issues with the tv reception and not being able to get channels to play. There is a high likely hood that we will not be returning for a third stay.

Google
Stayed here the night for a concert. Check in was super easy. 65 dollar incidental fee, temp hold gets removed when you check out. We were upgraded to a king size on the 5th floor. Amazing view of the capital! Room was clean, no bedbugs. Is the place perfect, no but that's the charm! The building is over 200 years old. Would take that over a corporate hotel any day. Would stay again when in town.

Yelp
So much character with this place! It used to be a convent, and the hotel kept with this theme. But as much as the building is older, the rooms are quite modern and well kept up. Being a conversion, there are quite a few quirks in the rooms, but I think it adds to the experience. They don't have their own parking, but there is a garage next door and others in easy parking distance. Now there are a number of homeless people in the area, but I still felt safe walking to the Xcel center at night and to my car in the morning. Considering how many people I drove past in the morning, I think you're going to have that at any of the downtown hotels. Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the breakfast - they had the usual sausage, potato, and egg options that you see at most hotels with free hot breakfast. But what most hotels don't have is the beautiful space this was served in. Great way to start the day!

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful inside and out - the artwork and all around historic vibe is unmatched and it's right in the heart of Saint Paul. *The customer service and comfort is truly unbeatable. They go above and beyond. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Yelp
I stayed from 1/31/25 - 2/02/25. It is a beautiful property and the staff are fantastic. They kept all of the historic charm of the building and blended "museum" and comfort. It was a convent converted to a hotel. The rooms are clean, basic and comfortable. Original artwork adorns the walls of the public spaces. It is a beautiful place to stay.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of staying here for a much-needed staycation (May 2024), and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service and unique charm of this historical hotel made our stay truly memorable. A special shoutout to Todd, the incredible hotel manager, who went above and beyond to make our experience extraordinary. We had an expired gift certificate, but he graciously honored it without any hassle and even surprised us with an upgrade to a more luxurious room. Another highlight was the exceptional service provided by the bartender. Not only was he attentive and friendly, but he also gave us fantastic recommendations that made for a great evening. His knowledge of the drink menu and willingness to craft personalized cocktails was exactly what we needed :D To top it all off, we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary breakfast served in the chapel space. The chapel is beautiful, and it was the perfect way to start our day! It was a delightful departure from our usual hotel experiences, and we thoroughly enjoyed the space's historical significance. We highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a remarkable and unforgettable hotel experience.

Yelp
A very historical hotel that used to be a covenant(I might be mistaken). It certainly is very unique with many old decors and furnitures. I however did not have a good time because amenities in the hotel were simply too old and some didn't function well. For example, the weather was very hot and humid, but the AC in my room was a very old stand-alone model and didn't keep the room cool and dry all night. The gym was very small with very limited numbers of equipment and the AC in there also wasn't working too well, which made my workout pretty painful. The hall way also had a subtle old scent that I didn't enjoy. I am sure some people would really enjoy this hotel for its aesthetic.

Yelp
I love this place. As you walk into the old building you feel as if you are back in time. You are then greeted by a bar that is fully stocked with libations. To the right, there are some private booth areas. The hotel is said to have a haunted room and you can hear about it if you do the haunted tour. The service is second to none. Pro tip.. if in the patio area do not sit at the table all the way next to the fountain. There is a pidgin way above the fountain in the 1st window and the pidgins make it rain with .

Yelp
Found this place while looking for a night stay downtown. Very cool old building and great bar. Our room was good, very comfortable bed and good breakfast in the old chapel. Great check in process and our young bartender was very personable. Recommend for something different from a typical hotel stay.

Yelp
Whoa. As someone who didn't grow up in a church, I have a unique fascination for Celeste St. Paul Hotel. One of my coworkers told me about the history, and it was a fun stay overall. Beautiful aesthetic and comfortable hotel room. Downsides were stiff towels, weird smells, and lack of soundproofing. I did enjoy the complimentary breakfast buffet both mornings I was there. Service was very "heads down modest" but maybe that's just more MN culture. Would stay here again and actually make time to enjoy a few drinks at the bar next time!

Yelp
We had an opportunity to check this place out as family was staying here and we pre-drank at the bar prior to our dinner reservations. Very fun to know that this was a nunnery back in the day and now they offer drinks and rooms. The specialty drinks were very flavorful, however it took a very long time to get service at first even though it was a very small bar area. We tried the Adam's Apple, which was Apple Cider & Bourbon Punch and the Revival, which was Tramantino Limoncello, Tattersall Crème de Fleur, Owen's Ginger Beer. I would definitely order both again. The hotel rooms were nice, but smaller.

Yelp
This is an incredible building. The architecture, the history, and the energy are incredible. It has a delicious breakfast made by Ms. Sheila. She was very professional and kind. There were always eggs, sausage and potatoes. On the weekend there were biscuits and gravy. The cinnamon rolls were also on point. I especially enjoyed the fancy coffee machine for my morning americano. The bar area is a fantastic spot for meeting locals and guests at the hotel. The drinks are well made and have witty names. The front desk staff, Kyle, was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Yelp
This little hidden GEM was perfect! I needed a night - Celeste was perfect! Beautiful Nunnery turned into a boutique Hotel. I will start off by saying this place is beautiful and the room we stayed in was nothing less then perfect! Minus I wish the Frig would of been stocked. That being said the bar was quaint and a nice cocktail, wine list. Wish there would of been more than 4 items to nibble on. Bartender was friendly. That being said the women checking us in was not. Which completely sets the tone for the stay- which would of been a complete turn off, but I needed rest. The bed was cloud like comfortable, and the shower nice as well. The view was breathtaking! What made all of this complete was checking out I had a brief moment to chat with the Manager and his name escapes me, however he was very hospitable, friendly and kind. Thank you!

Yelp
Definitely different. If you're cool with nun pictures in every room, creaking wood floors and furniture then this is your spot. BUT the hotel does NOT offer parking, public parking is next to hotel and you have to pay each outing. Hotel offers breakfast on the 2nd floor. Potatoes were cold, and the hallway leading smelled like egg. It made me nauseous..there is no open air ventilation. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and every balcony area was full of pigeon cr*p. It was gross, knowing we were eating in the living area 1 ft away from mounds of bird sh*t. Not cool. Apparently hotel used to be covenant, but once being there it was just off. Bed sheets were clean, bathroom was clean room too.

Yelp
It could've been great if the check-in experience were different. My husband and I decided to go on a little road trip, we live near the Chicagoland area. I used the Hotels app and this was a top suggestion. Such a cute little hidden place. We needed a night and this was a very good choice! Well... the check-in was a bit rocky. I didn't catch his name but the front desk person was a bit too "Minnesota Nice," (sarcasm). My husband and I had about a seven-hour drive, so we were very tired. The front desk guy instead of greeting me in a more welcoming manner said "uh you look lost." A F T E R the front desk guy saw my husband and I carry our bags he decided it was a good idea to say "oops, I could've been nicer and tell you there is a side door." Why even say anything at the point. So I decided to reply with "oh this will be helpful for my Yelp review." This was followed by his stupid comment "Yelp is for yellers." WARNING!!!!!- There will be an Alexa in your suite!! My husband and I felt really creeped out by it so we decided to unplug. Talk about graceful hospitality. The beautifully-proportioned 350-square foot Garden King delights with a sumptuous king-sized bed, Ultra-HD TV, workstation desk, and spacious bath. We learned it was a nunnery and it was turned into this beautiful hotel. I will start off by saying this place is beautiful and the room we stayed in was nothing less than perfect. The bedroom was very comfortable the bed was amazing!! What truly made it a good experience was the following morning. The reservation had breakfast included. WOW! The options they offer are GREAT! It makes it really hard to pick. The morning chef asked if everything was good. He was sooo polite, I'm so mad at myself for not catching his name. Thanks to him, our experience was much better! Definitely will be an option next time we are around the area. Self-park is available metered on the street or the World Trade Center parking ramp. The ramp can be accessed on Cedar Street or Wabasha Street. Ramp parking is a max of $18 for a 24-hour period. Apart from event rates.

Yelp
This is such a great spot in downtown St. Paul! I've been told that this is former St. Paul conservatory, McNally, and a former music school taught by the Sisters of Carondolet! I am so very happy, as a Saint Catherine's alum, that the original structure, stained glass windows, and spaces have been preserved (to the extent that they could). We absolutely fell in love with the design, so much so that we almost wished that we could have had our ceremony here instead at the chapel and use their reception space, but it hadn't opened until two weeks after our date. The room was spacious, comfortable, and the breakfast was set up very well, given COVID. We would have loved to have spent more time here, and look forward to going back!

Yelp
Fantastic place. The staff, from front desk to bar staff was friendly and welcoming. But it is the architecture that really makes this place stand out. Wonderful old space wonderfully remodeled and modernized. The hallways have a great old artwork. The place has lots of charms and, dare I say, wonderful blessings. Best place to stay in Downtown St Paul

Yelp
This was a splurge for a middle class woman on her birthday. :) It did NOT disappoint! 100% would stay here again. What a beautiful hotel. We paid 217 for one night in an executive king room. It had a closet, fridge, large king bed, nice side tables, beautiful decor. Pros: beautiful large spacious rooms, views of the captiol, the end tables have plus and USB ports, fun decor. Hotel staff is amazing. Breakfast is amazing. See below for more details. Cons: it's not a super quiet place to sleep on a Friday night. We didn't go to bed super early but the sirens, light rail and people on the street can be heard from your room. if you have someone on the floor above you, you can hear creaking floors. the noise of the city starts at 8 a.m. there are bells from the church next door that start at 8. the light rail also starts at 8. Tips: Park in the World Trade Center ramp. I read some parking reviews that said parking cost up to 18 dollars, but that was not the case for us. We checked in at 3 on Friday and checked out by 11 on Saturday and the price was 10.50. Request a higher floor for better views. Ask about the tour that they give around St Paul - Sister Celeste. We didn't have time but hear it's amazing and funny. Ask the hotel staff for the writeup about the hotel and the history. It's fascinating and points out which original paintings were done by the nuns and also by the woman who works there and is a children's artist! She was lovely to meet in person! Do not miss breakfast. It's lovely and in a lovely space and also so delicous. We walked in to the smell of blueberry and their blueberry scones were to die for. Also loved the premade breakfast sandwiches that you could microwave. The options to choose from were overabundant! Truly a fun time. Explore the hotel on your own and check out the hallways and the art. If you want to go to a movie, go to Woodbury 10. They have renovated the insides of the theater and they are all leather rocking chair type ones. The cost for the matinee was 6.00!! at 5:30 p.m.! The drinks and popcorn are super cheap! We also ate dinner at Cosetta's which has free parking and delicious food. Their gelato and italian desserts are top notch. The macaroons tasted like Paris. Random story: This hotel used to house nuns and they taught music and other classes. There is a lovely peaceful spirit in the hotel that is welcoming and calm. In the middle of the night, I felt light touch on my foot and a tingle so I think one of the ghost nun spirits was just passing by. :)

Yelp
I stayed here for a work trip alone and really enjoyed my time. The staff (Jamie) at front desk and the bartender (did not get name but blonde female) were welcoming, professional, and made my stay wonderful. My bath was INCREDIBLE and the highlight of my room. Although the area is not great (not much to do and I did not feel comfortable walking around as a single woman) the accommodations were great.

Yelp
Although I haven't stayed at The Celeste or eaten in the bar/lounge, I was able to go on a tour of the hotel. Having worked in the building in the mid-1990s when the Minnesota Composers Forum had an office there, it was a trip down memory lane going through this restored and renovated hotel. What once used to be a convent that had close to 100 nuns, this historic property has undergone many changes since it was built. What I enjoyed seeing was the many historic and original elements still a part of the hotel. The antiques, beautiful restored paintings, and chandeliers all created a majestic and welcoming, upscale entrance and lobby. The rooms are impeccably designed and decorated; and the windows block out the noise from the streets. Throughout the entire time we were touring the hotel we did not hear any street noise. The views - depending on which room you are in - were impressive with the State Capitol in clear view from one section of the hotel. The bridal suite is lovely with 18-foot ceilings and indications that it used to be part of the altar. The eating area for breakfast was once a chapel and it was a joy to see the beautiful stained glass windows still in place. Parking is available in a nearby lot within easy walking distance (about a half a block). Otherwise, the light rail is close by for those not using a car. The Celeste is an elegant hotel with rooms that are simple yet beautiful. If there is ever a need to stay downtown St. Paul, I would definitely want to stay here!

Yelp
Great cocktails and wine surrounded by beautiful historic vintage decor. I had the Bassano 75 (Italian version of French 75). Let me tell you... this drink was very tasty but strong! Definitely snuck up on my friend and I!! Will definitely be back! Knocked off one star because the bar seating area is rather small and lighting could have been a bit better to set a more inviting ambience.

Yelp
What a gem! We booked a suite with another couple to celebrate a day out in St. Paul and were instantly pleased with the Celeste as soon as we walked through the front door. It's very cozy and aesthetically pleasing with hardwood floors and exposed brick. Check-in was easy and fast. The room had comfy beds, a fun sitting area, and huge bathroom. We decided to grab a drink in the bar which has a couple of private areas (say hello to Robin if you have a chance to stop in). Our lack of a view was the only thing I could complain about, but not a big deal. Parking was not included in the deal. Otherwise, I found this place to be affordable, comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I'm excited for my next stay!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. Every part of our stay, from the initial phone call to checkout was lovely. The main floor is gorgeous. The rooms super clean and relaxing. So nice to have black out shades in a hotel! Staff recommended a good place to eat within walking distance, as parking is very limited unless you are in the ramps. The made to order omelettes for breakfast in the chapel were the perfect finale to our stay.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I visited the Twin Cities area to see the Caps-Wild game. We chose the Celeste because it seemed to be a unique hotel and is a short walk from the Xcel Energy Center. The hotel is a former convent, and there is as mix of old fashioned (the bar off the main entry, the windows in our room) and the modern (the glass-enclosed shower and the Echo Dot on the nightstand). There is also a light rail station steps from the hotel (although we didn't get a chance to use it, much to my disappointment). There is also free breakfast on the 2nd floor, which we did take advantage of. (I'm happy if I can get toast, nut butter, and fruit, and most hotel breakfasts offer that.) I don't know when I'll be getting back to the area, but for friends visiting, I'll certainly recommend the Celeste.

Yelp
Fantastic new addition situated next to the Fitzgerald theatre. The restoration of this historic property is quite incredible. They have a great little bar with attached lounge areas to hang and enjoy yourself. I was lucky enough to snag a quick tour of the hotel to include the breathtaking Chapel Suite. What a gem! This would be the perfect spot for a staycation, if on town for biz, this would be a cool spot to checkout. I'm eager to return to explore the wine menu further. Great service and first impression, good work to the Celeste team!

Yelp
This is a quick review. Our rule.. if there's a parking spot outside, we are meant to stop in!! Perfect! Spot right outside. The drinks are all Religious names (but funny!!!!) ... in fact I'm having Holy water right now! The bar seats about 32.. happy hour is literally 1 hour. And I've been told...it gets packed! AND... the have Prosecco on tap! Hotel has 71 rooms, and I bet they are quaint and historic looking, as the bar has the haunting look of an F Scott Fitzgerald novel! Enjoy WA Frost? You'll love this! (And bartender says the drinks are strong and cheap!!!!!)

Yelp
We live now in Wisconsin but we did live in St Paul for a number of years; most of our kids and grandkids live in The Twin Cities now. We hate staying in the run-in-the-mill hotels. We found the Celeste online and booked it immediately. Three lovely nights. Clean, quite, historical, really nice breakfast, accessible, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We will be back...and soon.

Yelp
Plaid wool skirts at an acceptable length and Sister Cecile Claire's Chemistry class-these are the beautiful memories evoked by Hotel Celeste St. Paul. All this wrapped in a beautiful sparkling clean room with a bed that sleeps wonderfully! People are nice and breakfast was good! Front desk and architectural restoration respectful and lovely! The setting is nice and coffee houses and restaurants nearby.

Christine P.

Yelp
We stayed here for our wedding. Absolutely beautiful building, breakfast amazing, will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Do I write a review of this bar and risk having this little secret exposed? Sure. I have no review on the hotel but the bar is AMAZEBALLS. Prosecco on tap? 7$? THEY FILL IT TO THE TOP?! highly recommend coming here for some drinks. They make great drinks at amazing prices. I also love their little rooms in the bar with comfy couch seating so you can have a bit more intimate conversation with your mates. 10/10 recommend. I would write a longer review but yeah...its the bomb diggity...not much else to say!

Maureen R.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in an old music conservatory for nuns, it does a great job of being modern while maintaining the history. My only complain was, being an old building with a boiler system, they have the heating and cooling set the same for the whole building. My room was 71 degrees and I didn't sleep at all. This definitely put a damper on the experience.

Deanne L.

Yelp
Gracious accomodations and divine decor. Situated in historic St. Paul. Relaxing ambiance with beautiful displayed art and structurally functioning art that puts a smile on this non practicing Catholic.

Yelp
Went here for a date night. Hotel is absolutely beautiful and the bar/lounge is beautiful. The staff is incredibly on it with service and their drinks were amazing.

Averi R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay here. They upgraded my room for free, had a great continental breakfast, and the bar downstairs was great. Super unique hotel for a good price. Only downside is that there isn't designated parking so you either have to park on the street or pay $17 overnight in the parking deck next to the hotel. Major downside.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Used the Celeste as home base for our daughter's wedding November 2021 - couldn't have been more pleased with EVERYTHING! A converted convent, every turn has character. Most of our wedding guests chose to stay here and all would say the Celeste was wonderful. Staff was super - both helpful and available, the bar was a welcome surprise, with excellent drinks and bartender. The old chapel has been converted to the breakfast room, full of stained glass and purple velvet. Rooms were clean, comfortable and affordable. Wedding guests took advantage of the central location to do walking tours of St. Paul.

Yelp
I had such a wonderful time staying at this hotel! It used to be a nunnery! And this is represented in the tasteful but eccentric art work placed throughout the building. It is located right next to the light rail and the MPR building. From my window, I had a clear view of a beautiful church, whose bells rang a few times throughout the day, and the MPR building which provided up to date weather on their marquee if that is interesting to you. The one downside to this is that the light rail does announce itself occasionally so if you do not do well with occasional sounds like that, you might want to see if there is a room that does not sit so close to the light rail or this might not be a good fit for you. Our room was small but very cozy and perfect for our needs. The heat can get a bit excessive since I think it's boiler heat but tweak the dials and I am sure you will find a happy medium. Double curtains make every night a dark and peaceful night. Downstairs there is a very cute hotel bar that had AMAZING drinks (and food as well but we didn't try the food) There is complimentary breakfast downstairs and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The closest parking lot was the public lot right next to the hotel and for one night, we ended up paying around $10 for parking (the hotel does not validate). The beds were comfortable and there was plenty to watch on the TV. I definitely will consider staying here again!

Yelp
Classy, modern elegance. Rooms are simple, clean, and modern. Breakfast was good. Hotel is quiet and in a great location for downtown St Paul. Bed was very comfortable and love Essential Elements bath products. We enjoyed our stay!

Yelp
Extremely disappointed with this hotel. Recommended by family as it sounds very fun and different based on its history. Best feature was view of the state capitol. No clean towels, the room was not cleaned at all in the five nights we spent. Coffee maker and instant coffee but no cups. Never thought I would long for a Holiday Inn! Parking was either metered or $17.75 a night. Spent nearly $800 for just the stay, WAY OVERPRICED for the tiny room we had. Website is extremely misleading. Does not mention any of this. Tried to write off the cleaning or towel thing to COVID but then their site says their rooms will "continue to be cleaned at the high standard our guests have come to expect." Ambiguous much! Would rather gouge my eyeballs out than stay here again. Road construction on our last night went from 11:30pm to at least 1:30am. Not their fault but was just the cherry on this s$&@ sundae.

Yelp
I booked a one night stay here to spend the night in St. Paul with a friend. The hotel was clean and the staff members were great. However, when I booked this room originally it stated that we would have fresh "made to order" omelettes for breakfast which was a big reason why I picked this hotel. We didn't realize until we got down to breakfast that it was granola bars and cereal, NOT an omelette station like we were promised. Another couple we met at the hotel were very disappointed as well. This should be removed from the booking websites as this is no longer accurate and it is misleading.
