Celtic Knot

We went here because we knew the band playing. Celtic Knot is a good casual local bar where they occasionally have live music. There’s a patio and plenty of parking. You get a lot of food for your money.

Friendly neighborhood bar with plenty of parking. Delicious food with live band nights and karaoke on Tuesday.

I googled “great food near me” and Celtic Knot came up in the first three. It was close to my hotel and they were “pet friendly” (outdoor seating). The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We didn’t wait long for our food. The beer was good too. No complaints. I’d come back again when I’m in the area.

Worst place to go, smells like sewage the floor is dirty and the glasses are not clean....the one Male bartender with glasses has anger issues and the young boy with black hair doesnt even look old enough to work behind the bar.....if the owners and bartenders don't know you, .they will treat you like scum...Burger King has better customer service then this place.

Service was horrible. Waitress was unwelcoming and unfriendly. Only checked on once to see how everything was. She saw us waiting but decided to vape instead and check her phone. I got served watery lemonade in a plastic cup. Food was mediocre at best. The receipt literally said “frozen fries”.Extremely disappointing from the service,food, and decor. The only Irish thing in the place was the Jameson Whiskey. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I’m a total roast beef snob. I only shop at supermarkets that slice house roasted beef at the deli counter. I stopped in yesterday and I saw the house roast beef on the menu. It’s been called my name ever since I’m so happy right now n the roast beef n fries are making my belly sing! Come see Devin n Brittney

I walked in and sat alone on Sep 13th. A couple followed me in and sat next to me. The waitress seemed to know that couple, so she ran to them about 3 times to get them what they wanted. After another 5 couples came in and were greeted by her, she still had not looked at me once. By far the worst waitress in NJ

I have eaten and hung out here many times. The location before was run down and terrible and the new owners turned it around completely. Very happy to have a local joint that is pretty solid on food prices and service. The drinks are cheap and there is usually kareoke or live bands that usually are a great time. In all honesty this is a 4 star bar but I'm giving it 5 because it is basically a "hole in the wall" although it has solid food and service and is just a small local business. Definitely a solid place to hang out for the night or pregame and go somewhere else after. You can smoke and have your drink outside, there is pool and darts. Very nice place for the townies and strangers alike.

Very disappointed! $16 special and it doesn't come with fries or much brisket for that matter!!

Loud hole in the wall so called irish pub. Went on March 16 with 2 good friends. Nothing on the web site that their menu was limited to 4 things. All fried stuff & corned beef We like our fried foods, but that day it wasn't our plan. Ended up leaving. Not very attentive either.

First time coming to Celtic and was welcomed nicely at first from female waitress. She checked at first periodically but after 30 mins in no one came back to check on us. A couple times I had to personally come to the bar to get service. We came 35 mins away. Stood for not even two hours due to no actual service. One bartender male was kind and all over but was trying to accommodate. One turn off was regulars were attended better at bar than tables. Future reference, if you want customers coming from North Jersey and you want us to spend money treat us first timers right. This was told to your female waitress. She failed. Disappointed but gave the 3 stars for other who were attentive. Thank you.

Went for breakfast and doubt we will be going back. It was COLD. The menu is limited. Disappointed that they don't have the menuline so you can see what they offer. Cook was the server and it took longer than usual to get our meal. Eggs were ok, bacon was cooked as we asked. Potatoes were over peppered. We were the only ones having breakfast. The other patrons were at the bar drinking and talking loud enough for us to hear the, conversation.

Numerous hiking trails nearby. Hot summer day. Outta gas from walking. Refuel here. Corned Beef, Chili, Onion Rings, Cold Tap, Music and good service. Now we are refueled.

Met friends there for early dinner midweek.Had spinach feta chicken wrap which was fabulous! Waiter was great, very attentive. Hubby got steak sandwiches which he said was excellent. Probably wouldn't go back. The speakers are located right over table. Waiter turned it down but it was hard to talk. Hadn't seen our friends in a long time but no one could hear the people across the table. Looks like everyone else was having a great time. Food was great and we thought going at 5 would be less noisy, we were wrong .

Visited on our quest for great local dive bars. Very disappointed. We had high hopes but the music was so loud we couldn't chat. The menu looked good but the food was disappointing. Ordered the Reuben since they boasted their in house prepared corned beef. There was so little on the sandwich it was hard to tell it wasn't great. Instead of Russian it was topped with maybe French dressing. Service was good and beer was cold but we won't be back.

This is a fun new place and definitely worth checking out. It's been hopping every time we've visited. The bartenders are friendly, drinks cold and food very well priced. We love the onion rings!

Stopped in here for a bite before bowling. Great service, great sandwiches, loved what they did with tater tots. Seemed like a great place to have an excellent meal while catching up with a friend

Drove to NJ to meet a friend and his brother recommended this local pub restaurant. I had their French onion soup which was one of the best I ever had. Seriously! Had the Murphy steak sandwich. Filling and flavorful! Fries were good too. Bartender Eileen was very nice and reminded me of a friend. The other servers were just as nice. Nice place to have a drink and satisfying food with friends. Prices are reasonable, too!

Quaint place with a long local history. The food, when you finally get it, is decent. Cheesesteaks are the house specialty and are quite good. Service is friendly, but slow at its best. Like most small businesses they are understaffed.

Great local casual bar/restaurant. Has a pool table too, always a plus for me. Much variety to choose from as far as food.go early as it fills up quick, and after 9 pm a much younger bar crowd rolls in for the dj/ band the offer.

Friendly spot , local hangout right next to 287 decent handmade pizza , but rarely do I get a buy back which is kinda annoying because I usually leave a decent tip ,

Priced right, awesome staff, wonderful food, good atmosphere. So glad to have gone and am eager to return. Plus, when the only person you know in the whole establishment is the person you walked in with....and you're still treated well? 5 stars. I said what I said.

Been here a bunch of times. They have the service and food quality hitting on all cylinders right now. The decor is your normal Irish pub neat clean. 4 Stars

Always great food and bartenders. Never had a bad meal or a bad experience. Great place to come and B.S. and not feel uncomfortable.

The food and the fun nights are great but three stars for need more tables outside and the bartenders can't make mixed drinks for shit except basic science ones there is one bartender blonde hair glasses who make great drinks she should have mixologist classes with the rest of the girls oh and there's a lady sitting at the bar not sure if she's a waitress or manager etc but she was drunk and following people out saying thank you for coming have a nice night could barely stand other than that this place is great !!

The food and drinks here are normally really good. The service can be hit or miss. Some of the bartenders are fantastic and others are the opposite.

Great pub with delicious food. Quick and friendly service. Easy on and off highway. What more do you want/need? Would highly recommend to fellow travelers or locals who like good food.

Very disappointed..went to Celtic Knot on a Saturday at around 9:30pm; sat at the bar with my debt card insight and was totally ignored! Wow! I guess I'm invisible. They need to step up! Went down the road a ways , stopped at Flips Bar and was automatically noticed and the bar tender introduced herself..now that's Customer Service! Time to step up Celtic Knot!

Decent spot but service was pretty bad. Waited an hour and got one drink, then was ignored.

Awful service- if you actually want to enjoy this place.... avoid the bar. theres a faux intellectuality to the person behind the bar that ruins the ambiance.

Horrible service. Waited 2 hours and was completely ignored. I am local and will make sure to never attend this establishment again. I would rather go fuck myself then walk in the door again.

We were there around 7pm on a weekend. It was not busy, but most of the seats at the bar were full. It appeared as if most of the people who ordered food had already eaten. The manager/owner's family/friends, including around several small children, were seated at the bar. The rest of the family took up several tables in the corner, including a six person table for only two people. The owner just kept walking around and not doing anything. Only one bartender was working and rushing around. We ordered a sandwich, a few appetizers, and a few beers. The waitress who took our order brought the beers and then disappeared for the night. The food took almost an hour, and finally, I walked up to the bar to ask that the food be wrapped to go. When I was trying to get the bartender's attention, the owner glanced at me (when I was clearly trying to wave the bartender down) and did not say anything. The bartender was very nice and apologetic, so we tipped him well even though he did not do anything for us except bring out the food. we will not be back because it was clear to us that the owner cares more about having a hangout for his personal family than actually running a business. Here's a suggestion- build a bar in your basement and leave the restaurant business to those who know what they're doing.
