The 18 Best Restaurants in Cannes, France | Eater

"Stop by this fromagerie, in business since 1968, to pick up a cheese or two for a beach picnic. Look out for excellent chevres from Provence and a range of southern French olive oils that are worth a spot in your homebound suitcase, since the best souvenirs are always edible. [$]" - Lane Nieset

I recently visited a cheese shop in Cannes that was quite literally the most smelly place I've ever encountered. The strong aroma of cheese hit me as soon as I walked in, and I couldn't help but smile at the sheer variety of fresh cheeses processed right there. The owners were incredible—hospitable and knowledgeable, eager to share their passion for cheese. I was particularly drawn to a basket labeled “one euro cheeses.” When I inquired, they explained that each of these delightful pieces was goat cheese aged for one to two months, offering a perfect balance of flavor. They had an impressive selection, showcasing all four phases of cheese, from the freshest to the most aged. As a cheese lover, I felt like I had stumbled into cheesy heaven. This charming spot is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the rich, diverse world of cheese.

Amazing selection of cheese. I think mostly unpasturised and there is raw milk available sometimes, both goat and cow.

I was so excited to find this place. I went here with the single purpose of finding a cheese with truffles, and was not disappointed! There were several options. The gentleman who helped me (who thankfully spoke perfect English because I only speak beginner French) was very knowledgeable about my options and helped me narrow down my choice to a truffle tomme cheese. He was gracious enough to send me off with a sample of their truffle brie, which was also amazing. Highly recommend if you’re in search of some delicious stinky French cheese.

Be warned when you open the door and walk in the smell is quite pungent. That being said they have a marvelous selection of cheeses, many of which you won't find in the states at all. I'd recommend getting a few kinds of the small slices to try out. They're very reasonable from 1.5 to 3 euro for a reasonable chunk.

This little shop offers a wide variety of delicious cheeses from the region and all of France. The staff is super helpful and will cut pieces of each type adapting to your preferences and making it possible to design your own cheese tasting

Not cheap prices but quality cheeses and abundance of choices. It is claimed that France has over 1000 different types of cheeses and you'll have a preview when you visit this place. Cleanly arranged and sorted by types it's a paradise for cheese lovers. Want a taste of real French cheese?.. Go for it. By the way this place has been there at the same place since the 60's...
