As a self-proclaimed organizational expert, I occasionally look to alternative role models for inspiration in identifying best practices in the art of efficiency.
Once such example is Burt Reynolds. I don't think he's given the credit he deserves for being a top-notch problems solver. Case study - Smokey in the Bandit. Thirsty in Atlanta? Beer in Texarkana? Where there's a will, there's a mustachioed 70's icon willing to head Eastbound and Down to bring home a buzz.
I live in a dry county, so occasionally I have to make a significantly less arduous bootleg run to Addison for booze. Centennial is the closest destination, and has thus far been satisfactory.
During busy hours, they have Drunk Reps on hand to offer samples of various liquors. Free booze is certainly one of the easier ways to win my affections.
I get ID'd sporadically when I visit. ...and not just in the Walmart, "I have to ID everyone under 75" kind of way. This is a positive for me, as I'm in my mid 30's.
They do lose a star due to poor parking lot design. Some of the spaces are enormous, while others are more suited for a compact. You can only enter directly from Beltline. This seems to confuse customers who try to exit from the narrow entrance marked with a time faded Enter Only arrow on the pavement.
Prices are fairly average. I can't figure out if they're removing their wine selection, or expanding. That area of the store has been in a state of flux for a number of visits.
How many visits? I'm not sayin', as that information would be way too revealing...
