It's a beautiful park to visit when there is an event going. Although harmless, there are a lot of unhoused people who will ask you for food or money. The park also houses plenty of free roaming chickens and roosters with beautiful colors.

Love this little area. Just wish the city would clean up the homeless issue. Place these people somewhere they can be rehabilitated as most have drug issues and do drugs actively. Never be afraid as they are in their own world. Great for chicken watching. Lots of babies in the bushes so PLEASE do not let your children run freely as so many lay their eggs in the bushes. We've had to rescue a few lost babies but they will go will any mama that's got other babies.

I didn’t know about the chickens. I was just told if I’m going to visit Tampa, spend some time in Ybor. Imagine my surprise as I am visiting your lovely city and find a park full of chickens running around!!! The food in the area is incredible but nothing beats surprise chickens. 10/10

This only park in Ybor City offers a busy place for several festivals, including the Cuban Sandwich fest in March and Saturday markets with vendors of all things like home made and home grown foods, clothing, jewelry, and creative crafts. The roosters and chickens rule the roost here and do not feed them! There are a few benches but no tables. Statues of prominent immigrants from Sicily and Italy guard the corners of the park. Come to enjoy the action. Come to enjoy the peace. Accessible pay by app street parking and lot parking. Cobbles stone streets can make the path challenging for strollers, wheel chairs, and electric carts. Try the Ybor trolley too.

Tells the story of this property in historical perspective - underscoring the misery and suffering of slaves. We found the Park Service Rangers to be welcoming and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions about the tree species on the property, and passed along tips for exploratory walks.

A cool and quirky park to visit in the Tampa area!

Local public park. Has many historical markers around the park and surrounding areas. Park is clean and we'll laid out. Nice open area. About 1 block away from the corrupt sheriff's office.Main attraction to the park are the local residents which are free range chickens. (Don't feed them) public restrooms on in the patk. Lighting in the evening is fair. Would recommend this as a spot to visit.

Yelp
We discovered this park while we were walking around Ybor. They had a neighborhood market going and they had some great local art and other products which I ended up buying. I love the different statues they have all around Tampa and they had some cools ones here as well.

Yelp
I've been here three times so far. Once I came as a part of the Ybor City walking tour that usually is listed in the Yelp! Events and I just happened upon the park while I was walking. The second time, I decided to actually go to the park after I finished the Ybor City State Museum and there was some sort of cupcake festival going on. The third time I came there was a farmers market. They hold the Saturday market every Saturday morning and I believe they recently started doing the market again with COVID precautions. When there are no events, this appears to be a place that many of the homeless people hang out since there's actually some shade over here. So the park is shared by the homeless and the roosters and chickens. I did like all the chickens and roosters running around. Apparently, they are protected by city ordinance. I learned in the Ybor City Museum or maybe it was the Henry B Plant museum that the roosters and chickens that roam the streets of Ybor City and the Centennial Park are the descendants of the birds that were first brought over by the first settlers of Ybor City. So they actually have legal free range to roam as they please. Pretty cool, huh? So try to abide by the speed limit and don't harm or chase them. I also like that the Saturday Market tends to change vendors often so you might find something different each time you come. If you're trying to make a day of it, try the Ybor City Walking Tour that is usually on Yelp! Events or go to the Ybor City State Museum which is right across the street from the park. If you don't want to pay for parking, there are several areas around the park that you don't have to pay for.

Yelp
Was exploring the area and doing some walking after a big meal at the Columbia restaurant and stumbled upon this quiet little park. Lots of friendly chickens and roosters that appear to call this park home. After playing with them for about 15 minutes, we left the park to continue our walk and I was a little sad to see that right across the street was a Chicken & Waffles restaurant, hope this isn't where they source their chickens...

Yelp
A quaint, little park near the street car line's last stop that serves as a place to hold the Saturday market, Free Pt, and a few other things. Lovely chickens roam through the area at their will and there is often parking available around the area if one is inclined to make their way to the park.

Yelp
Ybor Centennial Park is bordered by a brick breezeway on the east and the Ybor Art Studio on the west, and it sits in about the geographic middle of Ybor City. This little park / plaza can be found between 8th and 9th Avenues, between 18th and 19th Streets, and directly across the street from one of the City's pay parking lots. Statues in the park pay homage to the influential leaders and founding fathers of Ybor City, and the nearby signage will tell you all about the City's history. On a normal day, this clean park is the resting place of many of the City's homeless. Nothing objectionable, just folks who are down on their luck, and looking for a quiet place to sit in the shade. There are public restroom facilities and a small fountain in the park, but I've never observed anything that would make me uncomfortable. This park is the site of many of Ybor City's famed Cuban sandwich, art, cigar festivals, and the weekly Ybor City Farmer's Market, so don't be surprised if you spot vendors offering their goods at little tables set up all around the perimeter on various weekends. Lots of people will park their cars in the City's metered lot across the street, and then walk over to the James Joyce Pub, or to the start of the TECO Streetcar System, and then wander through the Park at the end of their day. Oh, and let's not forget the roosters.... they wander freely through the park, and will start crowing whenever they feel like it. Makes for some very funny moments when they sneak up behind you. Ybor Centennial Park is a great place to walk around and learn a bit more about Ybor City while catching a bit of shade, and using the restroom before the ride home.

Yelp
Cute little park in Ybor City. Everytime there is a festival, this is where it is. Ybor City's farmers market is always held here as well. There's nice areas for shade when the sun is too strong. There are also nice areas where you can sit around the water fountain, and admire everything around you. Make sure to listen and look out for the roosters. It's my favorite, as well as my dog, Mocha Coconut's favorite thing to spot.

Yelp
To be honest, I never knew that this was actually a park. Because it is mainly concrete and brick structures with a few plants. Not typically what I would consider a park-like atmosphere. More like Ybor Centennial Square? I always thought this location was a central bus hub, or something of the sort. Mostly due to the amount of homeless folks hanging out here, asking for change, and living out of the public restrooms. There are some covered areas, maybe where someone living in the area would want to sit and rest under the covered plaza, or a place for teenagers to gather in groups and harass the crap out of people at night. Live chickens also live in this square, and you will see them walking around from time to time. The space is ideal for festivals and outdoor events, that is probably why the market sets up here every weekend. Across the street, there are parking lots that are free and open to the public during the days on the weekend.

Yelp
I would not call this a park...it's a concrete slab with a few statues and a couple of benches. The chickens roaming around were a nice touch and slightly entertaining but don't let the word "park" mislead you.

Yelp
Not really sure what to say about it. It's a park with lots of historical meaning, and where Cuban sandwich and cigar festivals are commonly hosted these days. It's always clean and presentable.

Yelp
Convenient little place. The streetcar's last stop is here & it turns around back to downtown. The Saturday Farmer's market is year round at this place.

Yelp
Quaint little place for markets and festivals. The streetcar stops here every 20 minutes and takes you around Ybor City. I wouldn't call it a park, but it is still a nice place to watch the Ybor City chickens and their chicks roam around and to enjoy the plaques and statues.

Yelp
Nice sized park and a perfect set up for an event with vendors! Great stage for live music and close to everything.

Yelp
I agree with other Yelpers. Not that great of a park. Sure the roaming roosters were neat but all the bums sleeping on the limited benches takes away from the neatness of the park. Very small, limited shade and only one table to eat on.

Yelp
This the place to stop by on your Saturday morning. They have a little craft fair out door thing going on. The vendors are great and super friendly. I always stop in when I'm in town. It's only till one so make sure you make it on time.

Yelp
A very nice park right in the heart of Ybor City. This park hosts Ybor City's Market and other miscellaneous events. I recently attending Beerfest at this park and it was very nice. I enjoy the fact that I can spend time in a nice nature atmosphere that is right in downtown Tampa. Definitely a great post for events or for just chillin'!

Yelp
This is more a venue than a park. At one end is a covered brick sitting area with restrooms, on the other end is the Ybor Art Studio, where classes are held. The park is home to a Saturday market that is fun and well attended. The grounds are very well maintained and well laid out to support the many cultural events that take place here. The trolley goes right by the park, creating very easy access.

Yelp
Very scenic park, easy access lots of parking in the mornings and early afternoon. I was here for a wedding recently so it was a nice enough place for a couple to share the moment of their lives. Not all that secluded though, lots of exterior noise with lots of people walking around. Still, a very lovely place to have a picnic or wedding.
