"Cento, Soma by Airbnb. Named after the Lambretta Cento, the walls of this alleyway cafe are covered with scooters and ska paraphernalia (think the Specials’ album sleeves and Quadrophenia movie posters). There’s no indoor seating, but you can pull up a stool at one of the small bar tables out front or sit in the sun on the nearby loading dock. The baristas prepare each cup of Blue Bottle Coffee using the pour over method, so it’ll take a minute but the fresh flavor is worth it. Bonus: you can get a small discount if your bring your own mug."

I work around the corner but have stopped by here a few times. It’s a cute little spot with a fun decor. Service is always great and the coffee itself is very good. If you’re nearby, give it a shot!

Had cappuccino and croissant. Baristas are always excellent and friendly. Perfect espresso. My favorite downtown coffee shop. Good place to do a little work and read a book.

Cute Café! A Latte & Banana Bread was $11. The barista worked quick and was friendly.

Honestly don’t know why I haven’t discovered this cafe until now. I have been to most new age coffee roasters in SF, but the latte here is tops. I think they use good milk but their blend is absolutely amazing. Do make a pit stop after dining at Okawari next door.

Google
Tiny spot with quirky decor that serves up some strong coffee. Prepare to get wired! Love the vibe but no seating inside. Grab and go. There was a bit of a wait. The description says it's cash only, but I was able to use my phone like most places these days.

The decor here is just calling out to have that hipster filter from your favorite photo editing app applied... you know what I'm talkin about! I appreciate the theme. Now about the coffee. A little pricey, but no tax and you get a fair size. Roast was a little light for my liking (in latte form) as I generally prefer darker.

One of my favorite new coffee shops. There's an art gallery in back!

They do mocha with cacao powder, that doesn't taste good. But at least it's not sugary

Yelp
I got a Horchata Latte ($6.50) here last week and it was amazing. The foam was thick and perfect, and it lasted through my entire drink. Props to the barista, who was really nice too! (This was Tuesday 9/10 at 2pm.)

Yelp
The shop itself is nestled in a really beautiful spot in the Center for Architecture and Design. Super airy, newly remodeled, and just seems like a really nice spot to grab a coffee with someone. The coffee itself was just ok; I got a cortado, and it was too overly roasted for me. It had quite the sour aftertaste, and didn't provide the mouthfeel I usually look for. Will be back if I'm in the area!

Yelp
The cortado is perfection! Vibey and cool, dripping in art with genuinely friendly and speedy service.

Yelp
Cento Coffee's cappuccino strikes the perfect balance between espresso and creamy milk, creating a delightful taste experience. A must-visit spot for coffee aficionados! Staff is super friendly as well

Yelp
A great city's people no longer forced to drink swill! Cento Coffee is some of the best around, and this new joint does not disappoint. Quite possibly the best thing to happen to downtown since before the pandemic. The pandemic took away my beloved Special Xtras and Cafe Lambretta, making Cento Coffee a rare find with only two spots (I think?)--the inimitable Cento and the always delightful Cafe Suspiro, formerly Vega. The new Système D brings the best brew in town back downtown in a stunning (if a little empty at the moment--give it time, they just opened) new spot inside the brand new Center for Architecture + Design. Featuring a striking glass chandelier hovering over the fantastic communal table, perfect for sipping every ounce of romance out of a Cento (their take on a Gibraltar.) If you were a fan of OG Blue Bottle before they sold out or if you just love a great cup of coffee (or hell, if you're a fan of classic Italian scooters!) check this spot out and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is super cute, I came this morning for a coffee and was so yummy and the guy was so nice. I didn't realize that my card declined and he gave me it anyway, so grateful as I have been working on very day and exhausted. Thanks so much

Yelp
Stopped in to try a coffee today and had a delicious mocha in this GORGEOUS space I've been watching be built over the past few months at the Center for Architecture + Design. The coffee was great (they roast it themselves) and there were some yummy looking baked goods that I will have to come back to try another time. After sitting for a bit at the beautiful live edge communal table, we wandered around in the space and were blown away at how absolutely STUNNING it is. The counter man recommended that we do that and he was so right. Very impressive! Can't wait to come back here.

Yelp
Wow, the reviews were right! This really is the best coffee! Today I decided to give this place a try and I ordered their cold brew with a splash of oat milk. It was puuuurrrrfect so smooth but bold, deep earthy taste. Gently balanced to absolute perfection. My friend who is extremely picky ordered their cold brew as is and also loved it. The gentleman helping us was very kind and told us about the building he's in and where his other location is! He also gave us a free cookie which was very sweet :) I am vegan so my friend got to take it all but boy did it smell and look delicious! It was freshly baked and the chocolate was still melty definitely come give this place a try! This will be my go to spot from now on!

Yelp
I have been a fan of Cento Coffee since 2008. This new location sets a bar that going to be hard to beat. Beautiful remodeled Hallidie building. I made it to the grand opening and will be soon.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in the lobby of the Center for Architecture+Design. Good espresso, good vibe.

Yelp
I was a huge fan of Cento Coffee from their SOMA locations and it's worth the walk into FiDi for great coffee and better ambiance at this location. Same great coffee and a great atmosphere in the beautiful Hallidie Building. As much as I've like Cento's coffee, it's also about the vibe. Great baristas and ambiance is what really has set Cento apart from other cafes and I say that having been a customer of Cento since 2008. To me, Cento represents the best of SF and independent coffee shops, you'll have to see for yourself.

Yelp
Minimalist feel with an artist touch. The coffee was amazing and the staff were friendly. Great spot for coffee while on the go.

Yelp
I ordered a Cortado (similar to a Gibraltar) & a savory pastry and was in heaven with every sip and nibble. Treat yourself to something special and enjoy what they offer. The decor is also new and fresh, and they're in the AIA SF building.
