The 9 Best Hot Sauces in the World - AFAR

"A massive Bangkok food-hall pavilion of boutique stalls notable for an enormous hot-sauce section stocked with dozens of artisan bottles and attractive dry goods; it has become the writer’s favorite souvenir stop after nearly 20 visits, where unique regional varieties (including a bright, yellow sriracha made from burapa chilies with citrusy heat tempered by sugar, salt, and vinegar) are easy to find and perfect for dressing omelets, mayo-based dressings, or as collectible condiments." - Jenny Adams

Central Embassy is one of Bangkok’s most refined and elegant shopping destinations, offering a calm, upscale alternative to the city’s larger and busier malls. Located in the heart of the Ploenchit area, the mall stands out for its striking architectural design, spacious layout, and carefully curated selection of brands and experiences. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet relaxed, with wide walkways, soft lighting, and a sense of privacy that makes browsing and dining feel unhurried and enjoyable. Rather than overwhelming visitors with endless stores, Central Embassy focuses on quality over quantity, featuring high-end fashion, beauty, lifestyle boutiques, and thoughtfully selected specialty shops. The dining scene is a major highlight, with a strong lineup of premium restaurants and cafés offering both local and international cuisine, making it an excellent destination even if shopping is not the main purpose of your visit. Everything from seating areas to restrooms is immaculately maintained, reinforcing the mall’s luxury positioning. Service across the mall feels polished and discreet, adding to the overall sense of comfort. Central Embassy is especially appealing for those who appreciate a quieter, more refined environment where attention to detail matters. It is not about crowds or trends, but about atmosphere, quality, and experience. If you are looking for a sophisticated mall in Bangkok that combines luxury, calmness, and excellent dining under one roof, Central Embassy is an outstanding choice and well worth visiting.

Central embassy is a high-end mall in Bangkok that offers a wide array of luxury goods from Gucci, Prada, Channel to Hermes, Rolex, Patek Philippe. It is just the right size for shoppers to have a leisurely stroll and not be overwhelmed by a large crowd. During my visit in November they even have a memorial display with condolence book for the late Queen Sirikit of the Kingdom of Thailand. The mall has a very nice bookstore on its top floor and a value for money food court called “Eathai” in its basement. I bought some of my “Pasalubong” items in the grocery store adjoining the Food Court. This mall is near a good number of embassies and hotels including Conrad Bangkok where we stayed.

Dropped by during the Christmas season and the decorations were honestly beautiful. The huge tree, warm lights, and festive displays made the whole mall feel extra magical, especially at night. My favourite part was the Christmas tunnel connecting Central Chidlom to Central Embassy walking through it felt like stepping into a little winter wonderland in the middle of Bangkok. Even though it was busy, the atmosphere stayed joyful. It’s a lovely place to wander or shop, grab a drink, bites and enjoy the holiday mood. If you’re in the area around Christmas, this is such a nice spot to soak in the festive spirit. 🎄✨

Probably the most luxurious mall we visited in Bangkok. The mixed-use complex has Park Hyatt above the multi-storey retail structure. It was very serene and peaceful and the aesthetics was very sleek, modern and smooth. Absolutely loved the vibe of this mall. We only got to explore the lower 2 floors as we were pressed on time but what we saw was very promising. The first two floors housed most of the top luxury brands with more opening soon. Loved the connectivity to Central Chidlom. Looking forward to seeing more of this mall in the future.

Luxury mall with everything you need Central Embassy is a high‑end mall filled with top brand names — if you can think of it, they probably have it. Beyond the luxury shopping, don’t miss the supermarket on the LG floor. It’s fantastic for fresh fruits and Thai souvenirs, and you can easily pick up anything you need. After shopping, there are plenty of comfortable spots to sit down and relax as well. A great place to browse, shop, and unwind.

As a nearby resident, I find myself visiting this mall almost daily for lunch. It’s easy to navigate and generally less crowded than other shopping centers, which makes for a relaxing experience. One of my favorite aspects is the variety of food available on the LG level — there’s always something satisfying. I also make it a point to grab a treat from Paris Miki on the 6th floor, which happens to share the space with one of the most luxurious cinemas in the country. It’s the kind of place where I can easily spend an entire weekend and never feel bored.

Went to open house at the 6th floor and man it was wonderful. The coffee we had at OKONOMI was good too! Great if you need somewhere to work or just to chill. has lots of outlets, tables and chairs!

Quite liked this mall, mostly for the 6th floor where the Open House and Movie theatre are. The theatre was a great experience, very cozy and comfy, worth trying once. The cafes on that level are also good, Kay’s and Ve/la
