I love ❤️ Flat and Taps wing. My absolute favorite spot. Unfortunately today I ordered baked wings and they were dry_ over cooked. So I called and took the wings they made me back to them. The second batch was just as dry. Some I was unable to chew. It saddens me because in the two years I've been coming there, never have they been so over cooked. They are baked not fried so there is no reason for them to be hard and dry. Although I did not ask them to refund me, they did. I would have gladly paid for the famous garlic wings at 30 dollars for 20 wings double the price just to have them melt in my mouth and not dry.

We accidentally ended up here but had a good time. The service was pretty good, as was the food. We order 2 flats, the flats are like pizza but served on naan bread, the naan bread was a little lacking but the flavor over all was good. The drink selection was great, my central mule with pineapple was amazing. We’d definitely come again.

Out of the way place, really nice environment and excellent service. The food was positively delicious! We ordered the goat cheese appetizer, and it was really runny and didn't have much flavor. I would not order it again. unless something was wrong with their recipe that day. Everything else was absolutely delicious. The Greek salad with marinated chicken was enormous. My white cheese flat bread was outstanding. The pizza Panini was very satisfying and delicious as well.

Great specialty flatbreads with cool and unusual flavor choices. Other menu choices such as lasagna, spaghetti and sandwiches. I will definitely try one of the sandwich choices next time as they sounded amazing! Service was excellent! Older building in downtown Knox but steady patrons in and out. We just moved here and will make this a monthly stop!

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. I've never found it to be too crowded at lunch. It's always hard for me to give anyone 5 stars. To me, that indicates no room for improvement and we all have room for improvement (one finger pointed at you and four back at myself). So, my 4 stars is probably 5 stars for most of you. The pepperoni pizza was my first purchase a year or two ago and it was good, but I generally get the buffalo chicken wrap and chips. It's always a solid choice and I take half home for later. The atmosphere is generally nice and chill for lunch, making it great for meetings and conversation. Service is hit-and-miss, depending on who your server is.

Overall an excellent bar. The food options are your standard bar fare, some flatbtreads and chicken wings, salad etc. The star of the show is the craft beer selection and the atmosphere. Really great waitstaff especially.

Great place to stop in the holler for a cold beverage. We were here to see band on street and did not have time to eat but will be back. Cool vibe outdoor patio in back with good Knoxvillians hanging out and enjoying our town and people.

One of our favorite lunch and dinner spots. This has the feel of that local "knoxville scruffy" neighborhood bar, many tv's showing sports, a bit rustic, sometimes loud, mixed age crowd, very casual (like walmart east Tennessee tattoo & piercings flannel shirts casual), bar food menu...food wise, I normally order either the Central salad or greek salad and we share a side of black bean hummus. My wife often gets the wings and sometimes a salad. We've tried most things on the menu, even the few what they call in this part of the world eye-talian dishes and everything is very good, nice portions and reasonable prices. Wraps and flats also pretty good. Many interesting mixed drinks and lots of beer choices. We like this place alot and frequent it often.

Omg what a fun find in Knoxville. We had the Mediterranean wrap with pasta salad and Greek flat. Both were excellent! We didn't try any beers but they had quite a list . Service was fast and friendly (late lunchtime). Location was eclectic and it was typical bar feel. Definitely recommend.

Stopped in here on a rainy weekend and found it warm and inviting. The hummus was great, pizza was delicious, and the beer was cold. The waitstaff was attentive and service was prompt. They have 2 gender neutral bathrooms and lots of seating.

The waitress we had was so sweet. She had amazing eye contact and was very genuine and attentive. I appreciate this coming from Las Vegas where the servers are not all like that. The food was amazing but I wish the goat cheese dip was thicker. It tasted so good, and came with naan bread (which is my favorite). The panini was delicious with pesto sauce and a side of chips.

Fun casual spot with a rustic vibe. It's quite large with plenty of seating and two bars with TV's. Our server was also the bartender that day (Wednesday late afternoon). She was welcoming and always checking in on us. We're ordered an Old fashion and a happy holler lemonade margarita. Both were good but my margarita was the star! For food we had margarita flat 7/10 and the Varsity flat solid 10/10. The varsity flat would not be something I would have normally ordered but the flavors just kicked! Cajun wings husband said nothing to write home about but were ok. Definitely looking forward to trying more flats that have unique ingredients and the drink specials. Reasonable prices make this a good choice as well.

Been to this location many times and always am impressed, got blue cheese on my pizza this time and liked it just as much. Service was fast. Warning if you go on Wednesdays they do trivia inside that is very loud.

This is our go-to dining spot when we want a nearby casual meal. It's unpretentious and you know exactly what to expect. My husband and I have dined here on several occasions. We get our usual, either Greek salad, margherita flatbread or raviolis and wash them down with our individual choice of beer from a local brewery in the area. On one our recent visits, we discovered their desserts are prepared by Lulu liquor cakes which are delicious. Now, my 5-star rating is to highlight our server "Kaylee". Let me first begin by saying, on this particularly evening, she was outstanding (I'm sure she's always). Kaylee was prompt with service, attentive to our needs and she suggested the evening's dessert which was phenomenal. Towards the end of our dining experience, my husband inquired about a whiskey menu, Kaylee searched and could not find one, so she went above and beyond!!! She walked behind the bar and hand wrote every single available whiskey they had displayed on their shelf and presented it to us, which consisted of 27 different brands. We definitely did not expect to received that type of OUTSTANDING service. Kaylee has earned and deserves to wear the "Golden Crown" for going above and beyond....when you stop in, ask for Kaylee.

Flats and Taps pizza, is amazing, And they are dog friendly, overall it was really good!

Fun bar with a lively atmosphere. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced. You get exactly what you pay for. Bartenders are great! (The chicken wings were not good though - burnt/singed flavor and the sauce and blue cheese dip were thin and flavorless).

Poor customer service and their mimosa taste like beer, and our waiter/bartender was of low grade service. I highly recommend a better candidate. We were in the middle of ordering and he just walk off to go serve other customers at the bar. Pizza was okay. Sauced wings were not good no seasoning in the wings just sauce. Don't recommend

The food was good. Service was great. Very laid back atmosphere. Would definitely recommend if wanting to get away from the hustle of downtown

I stopped by after trivia because I was told that they would have some good food available for us. I got their southwestern panini which was pretty good but their macaroni salad was very balsamic vinegar-y and overpowering. I got their spicy margarita which I felt was very strong and actually pretty good. The reason that I did not have a good experience there myself was while I was there a few of the employees were joking around and someone threw a pregnancy test at me...I think they meant to throw it to a coworker but it hit me instead. Honestly I'm not sure what was going on or what was the reason. I was the only person who looked different in that bar that night so after that I quickly got out of there. Sad to say I will probably never come back here. I heard great things but I guess I just didn't get to experience that.

A night out for a group of 6, Central Flats and Taps satisfied us all -- including a three year old, which is no easy feat. My beers were cold and crisp. All of our flatbreads hot and delicious. Service was fast and friendly. We sat inside (nice wooden ambiance). Next time I'll try the outdoor patio. Give it a shot!

My favorite place in Knoxville! I've been here plenty of times, loving each visit, but tonight our server Eden was beyond incredible! She was so friendly, meticulously thoughtful of our needs, plus she was bartending the side room at the same time. Eden was patient and quick with her service; she was on top of everything and we will be doing our best to sit with her each time we return. Food was delicious as always. This is by far my favorite place for a chill and affordable dinner/lunch.

This is a great spot to grab a beer and a bite to eat with some friends! They have a large drink menu and awesome daily specials. Whether you prefer beer or a cocktail there is something for everyone. The food is also tasty! I especially enjoy their hummus appetizer and the paninis. The prices are reasonable which is definitely a plus as well! I highly recommend this place!

I come here weekly. It's a low key spot with excellent food, drinks, and service. The Tuscany (add pepperoncinis & a side of ranch) is the best thing on the menu. If you get panini, always upgrade w a side salad. Any flat will also be fantastic but the Buffalo chicken is next level. As for drinks, the cocktails are creative & reasonably priced. The Central smash (made w blackberry moonshine) is a must try. If you're feeling frisky, grab a spicy watermelon shooter as well. The beer selection rotates & features a variety of local ales. Overall, this place is one the better hidden gems of Knoxville. Bury me here.

We went for trivia night, which was confusing, so we didn't participate in. Definitely a local event, not targeted for visitors. Food was good, we ordered wings, and a flat which were good. Flat needed some more flavor, but it was ok. Nice vibe, waitress was nice. Gave us recommendations and checked on us regularly.

Another amazing experience at Central Flats and Taps. Everything was phenomenal! Noticed they have Lulu's Liquor Cakes now instead of Magpie's Cake...can't wait to try Lulu's for dessert sometime! Also found out they have a soup of the day here! I ordered beef stew and it was great!!

The service was good and friendly and offered good suggestions. Enjoyed the in house pepper tequila. The ambiance was what I really enjoyed. Reggae playing in the background with screens with all sorts of sports till football gets here.

This was great place to stop before we had to head to the airport. Easy parking available and a great patio behind the joint. Pup friendly out there too. It was a little empty before we got here but now they are cranking up. Kerri was rocking the patio on her own for bit, she was fantastic. The triple dip platter was a great deal with very fresh and delicious options. The paninis are hot with great ingredients. The wings were good but I prefer a crispier style. However, that's just my preference. They have an awesome beer selection and the keep the libations pouring.

A pretty decent place to grab a bite to eat with friends, and if you're a fan of trivia, they're typically on the local trivia circuit, so you can show off your knowledge at the same time when they have their scheduled trivia nights. The food is really solid, and there are a wide variety of menu options to choose from. The service is great and the the staff is friendly and quick to help with anything you need. The atmosphere is pretty nice, although it can tend to be a bit loud at times, so if you're looking for a place where you can have a quite conversation, this might not be the ideal location. However, if you're looking for a place to have a fun, outgoing night with friends to let loose during the week or on the weekend, definitely try this place out for sure!

My favorite spot in Knoxville! Food and service are always good whether they're busy or not. They definitely are pretty busy on weekends so plan accordingly. Spinach dip is a must have. They may have recently changed the recipe as it's a bit runnier and more soupy, but still great!

The Greek Flat was the most flavorful thing I've eaten in a long time! Great tap selection too, this paired well with the Blackberry Cider!

The service is great, but the best things about this place are the peak atmosphere and food. The wings are the some of the best if not the best that I've had. This is just the type of place where you can eat, chill, and talk for hours. Also right next to Central Cinema, which is a nice bonus.

Atmosphere is wonderful in the Happy Holler. My go to order is the Central Flats Salad with chicken, but the wings are amazing and they offer lots of GF Options! Wonderful drinks selection but the Bushwhacker is something you have to try at least once!

I am here today to sing the praises for one particular item on this establishment's menu. You know how that day after Thanksgiving turkey sandwich is so wonderfully delicious? When waiting 365 days for the next incredible turkey sandwich becomes unbearable, get over to this fine establishment and order a Turkey Cowboy Panini. They pile this incredible edible high with roast turkey breast, bacon, smoked gouda, field greens and Roma tomato slices, all delicious choices. However, the real kicker on this star of a panini is the made-in-house bacon fat ranch. This dressing is so unbelievably good that I think I'd love to try drinking it straight out of a bottle. No, drink is too polite a word- I'd guzzle the stuff. For my taste it takes this panini to quite a stellar level. We're talking far above the ozone layer. Plus the service at this laid back neighborhood locale is great, along with all the other food they serve on their very creative menu. And if you're in the mood for an adult libation they have an incredible selection from which to choose, so indulge yourself. I personally think the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar is the perfect beverage to accompany my Turkey Cowboy- how about you?

They host the beer run weekly! A group of us meet here at 6pm for a run on Thursdays and end here for more beer. The staff is so kind! I finally came here for the food and ordered the trio dip and the veggie burger panini with pasta salad. I loved the dips. I bookmarked this restaurant just for the dips but knew I had to order a main just for show since my date did. He ordered the east of cali and enjoyed it. I was surprised he did since he's a top notch cook. My veggie burger was eh. I appreciated the pesto sauce but it was still on the dry side. The veggie patty was mushy which didn't bother me since I tend to mix everything I eat after tasting it individually. The pasta salad flavor was covered in balsamic vinaigrette and olives. I didn't fancy this at all. Now for the best part, the dips. We chose the spinach goat cheese, crab artichoke and the black bean hummus. I loved the texture of the black bean hummus - thick and creamy. The crab artichoke was my least favorite - I was hoping for a creamy sauce but it was just slices of artichoke and the crab was not prominent. To end with my favorite dip, the spinach goat cheese was such a surprise! It was so creamy, warm, googy, and has a hint of spice! Yes, it can be spicy for the southerners. I loved it. I didn't touch my main much because it was too simple and carby but I couldn't stop with this dip. I started using the fried pieces of pita bread that accompanied this appetizer but eventually just started spooning the dips. I would have finished it but he didn't eat much and I have to behave on a first date. Ugh lol. Customer service was great though. I was a bit thrown off by the waiter when he asked if I wanted ice and a straw with my water. That was quite specific..I asked for lemon too since he asked and then I realize why the waiter was so specific - my date ordered water with none of those. Figures. The waiter also printed two checks - one together and one separate. Funny guy. There is parking behind the restaurant and outdoor seating. Bathrooms located on your way to the outdoor seating.

My favorite time to go to this business is from spring to fall because of the patio. Occasionally they have live music. Dog friendly. Food and drinks are average.

This is a fantastic place for a good dinner out with friends or a meeting for lunch. I have had plenty of food here, but what I love are the wings. The Jamaican Jerk and Sriracha BBQ are great. The atmosphere of the restaurant is always great. I enjoy the outside setting with friends. The old part of town is great and makes you feel like you are in a European beer garden more than Old North Knoxville. The staff is informative and always willing to add the likes and dislikes. You can't go wrong eating here.

Never disappointed....Great food. Great staff... Had the trio dips, except the hummus one, and they are delicious...the porky pie is very good. I like that they use different kinds of sausages. Very good. Will return.

CFT is reliably wonderful! It's a Central st. staple, dependable and delicious. Favorites are the jalapeño popper flat and key lime bbq wings.

Just an all around cool place. Central is one of the places I bring my out of town friends to impress and low-key try to convince them to move here. They have a monster beer selection and are one of the few places I can find my Nashville-native-loving favorite Green Flash on draft. Think of their flats as a soft-crust personal pan pizza. Both the flats and their paninis have been consistently good. I usually get the Mediterranean panini, as I'm a sucker for artichoke hearts and sun dried tomatoes. I haven't made my way around the appetizers yet, but once I do, I'll be sure to update.

After having 2 pretty bad experiences last year, we thought we would try and give this place one last chance. We walked in about 5:00 on a Friday, they were pretty full but not crazy. I asked for 2 people and a high chair. He replied with we don't have any high chairs at all available, and the only place I have for you to sit is outside (95 degrees outside). He said we have boosters though. Thought we could maybe try, he says we don't have any menus right now though but I can try and find some. Another red flag so as we're walking towards the back to go outside we only see THREE people in the kitchen for a full restaurant, another bad sign. We decide by the time we get all the way to the back, we're just going to go elsewhere and honestly never go back. This place has major service issues, 3 separate times and it's always the same issue. Not enough menus, wrong drinks and food brought, careless. The host didn't even care at all we said we're just going to head out. So this place gets a 0 in my book. Don't waste your time

I wish I could give this more stars as we had truly enjoyed the Westside location. However, the food was lacking in the flavors that we had enjoyed at the other spot. The waitress was super nice and offered to get us something else and agreed to take the one dish we just couldn't eat off our bill. The dishes that were a hit where the spinach dip and the crab artichoke dip. I would highly recommend both of these and might be willing to come back just for the hours. My daughter had a Panini which she liked but didn't care for their chips which are plain kettle style. I am hoping today was a one off and I'm not sure that I will visit this location again.

Cool vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. Some solid beers on tap. Ordered the wings and they were average at best. Possibly a little over cooked. Would've preferred to go with a flat but the wings were recommended.

Solid food and solid service. A what you see is what you get type of place. The artichoke dip is exceptional. They have something for everyone in the food menu and a good beer list.
