Shanghai

"Perched on the second floor of the Central Hotel is this sister restaurant to the famed hairy crab restaurant, Wang Bao He. You’ll find this speciality here in season but it’s equally known for its authentic Shanghainese cooking. Their classic dishes use quality ingredients and are prepared with care. One highlight is the house-manufactured yellow rice wine, which you can buy to take home with you, along with various other ingredients." - Michelin Inspector

This was the last hotel on my tour, ending my trip in Shanghai, and it left one of the best impressions. The hotel delivered on quality, luxury, and service everything was within reach, and the housekeeping was excellent. The room was very comfortable and luxurious, and although the view wasn’t spectacular, it was still nice and memorable. The only downside was the deposit policy: I had to pay about $200 (1,000 RMB) as insurance, which was a bit unusual compared to other hotels I stayed at during the same trip. It was returned at checkout if nothing was taken from the minibar, but it still felt inconvenient. Aside from that, everything was wonderful, and I would definitely consider staying here again if I return to Shanghai.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Stay in the Heart of Shanghai! I had an excellent stay at Central Hotel during my recent business trip to Shanghai. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, with easy access to key landmarks, shopping, and dining. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, providing the perfect balance between modern amenities and relaxing ambiance. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who ensured every detail of my stay went smoothly. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, convenience, and professionalism, Central Hotel is the one. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers! 🇨🇳 Shanghai never disappoints—already looking forward to my next visit!

One of the best hotel in the area . Easy access to Nanjing pedestrian Street. 100m to East Nanjing subway Station. Spacious room . Breakfast is good Compared to the other same price hotels. Front Desk staff not so friendly but i have to admit that Steven Fang helped us and upgraded our room. Definitely gonna stay the next time we come to Shanghai

Lovely family stay for us, superbly located near to Nanjing Road and a 15 minute walk to the Bund. The staff were friendly and all the guests, mostly Chinese of course were quiet and polite. Towels changed daily without asking and the room was big and very clean. Used the Family Mart across the road to stock up on water and snacks, £1.5 for 5 litres of water. Very happy with our stay here, China was a great country and the people were warm and friendly.||

Excellent location. The room was very comfortable. The staff is really nice and efficient. The hotel needs some renewal; there are no USB connections, and the window could not close well, so the wind just entered the room whistling. Breakfast was a bit disappointing for what I expected and paid—not enough fruits, only one type of cheese. Anyway, I would be happy to stay there again.

The hotel is located close to one of the main attractions of Shanghai - Nanjing Road; proximity to the subway; accessibility of interesting places of Shanghai just in 1-3 metro stations; many inexpensive shops and food courts nearby. The hotel requested a deposit of 1,000 yuan, which they refund upon check-out if "everything is OK". For a tourist who came to Shanghai for 3 days with only 2,500 yuan, 1,000 yuan is a decent amount to part with during the stay in the city. Fortunately, I managed to agree about a reduction of the deposit amount to 500 yuan, but I really don't understand what it's for if they returned it to me immediately at the check-out, without even checking my room to make sure everything was OK... This is the only inconvenience I've encountered at this hotel, so I've lowered my rating for the service.

Great location with restaurants and sightseeing spots at walking distance. Friendly staff, clean amenities and the breakfast is nice. The hotel even prepared a birthday cake for my daughter! Thank you WangBaoHe for giving us a memorable stay.

Wonderful stay. We even had a super view from the 21st floor onto the skyline. The service and help from the concierge desk is fantastic. We had to receive a parcel at the hotel and store our bags for 2 nights between stays. The concierge did it all and was extremely helpful. Thank you to all of them.
