Central Hotel

We had a wonderful stay here! All the staff were incredibly nice and took great care of us, even though we don’t speak Chinese. The room was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to enjoy.Transportation was also very convenient — getting to Wanxiangu and the train station was no problem at all, and the staff kindly helped arrange everything for us.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

I had a pleasant stay at Central Hotel in Shanghai. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants. Breakfast had a good variety of options and was enjoyable.Overall, Central Hotel offers good value for money and a comfortable stay. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.

This was the last hotel on my tour, ending my trip in Shanghai, and it left one of the best impressions. The hotel delivered on quality, luxury, and service everything was within reach, and the housekeeping was excellent. The room was very comfortable and luxurious, and although the view wasn’t spectacular, it was still nice and memorable. The only downside was the deposit policy: I had to pay about $200 (1,000 RMB) as insurance, which was a bit unusual compared to other hotels I stayed at during the same trip. It was returned at checkout if nothing was taken from the minibar, but it still felt inconvenient. Aside from that, everything was wonderful, and I would definitely consider staying here again if I return to Shanghai.

Excellent location just off the bustling Nanjing Rd and close to the Bund. We had a spacious superior room - equipped with tea-coffee etc. There is a reasonable breakfast with limited but sufficient western items. We made the mistake of eating dinner at their restaurant one night and were surprised at the ungracious service there. The checkout also left a bad taste - they insisted we pay for a packet of peanuts which we had not opened. It was only 20 yuan so after some principled resistance we paid. But service is the reason I would rate it as Average.

Great hotel in the heart of Shanghai, about a block away from Nanjing road and metro station. The hotel is affiliated with Grand Central Hotel so you can use the facilities across the street (like a health center and a pool). The hotel is clean and well kept. This is a fantastic spot to be in if you like the proximity to the shops. Because of the busy season, it was nice to be able to just walk off the busy road and back to the hotel without resorting to public trasit.

The hotel has a stunning lobby and reception area, though insufficient seats for guests waiting for their ride or taxi. The hotel Concierge was helpful but i cannot understand why the hotel does not put up a signage to hail taxis in.Personnel at the check-in reception could be more pleasant and since payment has to be Cash/paid on check-in (no prepay option), an invoice/receipt should be issued upon payment. I never got my receipt.The room has a vintage touch with mahogany panels and cupboards, and the view we had was the huge square, which is part of Nanjing Pedestrian Street, where various events can be held there. I had hoped for a room looking east so that i could see the magnificent skyscrapers of Shanghai. Hopefully my next stay there.....I must mention the michelin dinner offer to house guests. Really worth tasting and for a bargain too.

One of the best hotel in the area . Easy access to Nanjing pedestrian Street. 100m to East Nanjing subway Station. Spacious room . Breakfast is good Compared to the other same price hotels. Front Desk staff not so friendly but i have to admit that Steven Fang helped us and upgraded our room. Definitely gonna stay the next time we come to Shanghai
