Central Market

We have always loved Central Market. I shop there from time to time and order their holiday meals, love it! Last year I had them cater my Sister's Celebration of Life gathering. Such a good decision. I had considered other bakeries and restaurants, but am so glad I chose CM. We had brunch, which was pastries, quiche, coffee and juice. The coffee came with creamer and sugar, stir sticks...the pastries were absolutely amazing. And the quiche was delicious too. For such an unexpected traumatic time in my life, I am forever thankful that CM took such good care of us. I was very proud of how everything turned out.

Central Market is an impressive grocery destination that goes far beyond a typical supermarket. The selection of vegetables, fruits, and greens is massive—easily ten times more diverse than in a regular grocery store. Everything looks incredibly fresh, with a noticeably better quality than most standard supermarkets. The seafood and meat departments are equally extensive, offering a wide variety of fresh options. The wine section is well-stocked, and there’s a strong emphasis on organic products throughout the store. The beautifully arranged displays make shopping here a visually appealing experience. What’s even better is that despite the premium quality, prices are lower than at Whole Foods. With its vast selection, fresh produce, and competitive pricing, Central Market is a top choice for anyone looking for high-quality groceries. Highly recommended!

Super friendly staff. Ready to take your order. I love coming here so relaxing. I ordered some breakfast tacos and it was quick. I recommend. One year later back again. Beautiful and fun experience coming here. So much to offer. I finally found the purple sweet potatoes I was looking for. No other place has it. We also had lunch here. Great prices awesome food.

Went in today to buy olive oil. Had some ideas on what I wanted but needed a little help. The lady that was stocking up the aisle offered me assistance, I initially said no because I felt like my internet search educated me enough. But after I explained my needs the lady said, I know just a person to help you. She went and got Karol ( i hope i'm remembering her name correctly) but OMG she gave me a much needed education on olive oil. She was so helpful so kind, so knowledgeable. I really appreciated her attention to me.And the details that she shared. I walked out feeling like I had won the lottery. Got the best olive oil I could get and for a reasonable price. And not only that, I know how to pick it for myself now because of her educating me.Thank you Karol for the amazing service!

Wide selection of locally sourced meats and vegetables! Spacious and extensive. Nice cheese, beer and wine selection. Impressive mushroom offerings with mushroom fungi growing in a refrigerator and sold fresh! Great outdoor sitting area picnic family vibe meets live band and alcohol libations.

Great cheese great bread. Excellent place to find unique kitchen gadgets. Great advisors on wine. Music found here some evenings. Bread, don't get me started, a place for great variety. And if you want real cheese from around the globe they have it. Together with a great olive bar.

I’m so disappointed in this store. They decided to do October fest during mes de la Hispanidad. I’ve been shopping here since I was a kid. And I cannot believe HEB corp being who they are to Texans (which yes that includes us, Latino descendants) would decide to comply with this government’s hate speech. Sadly. I will not be coming back to this store.

Overall a pleasant experience to stop by for our lunch, after our hike at nearby Barton Creek. The order counter staffs were helpful to take our orders for 5 pax, and the cleaning staff was timely to clear our plates. My central market burger meal was cooked just right. Peak lunch hour can be crowded to find a suitable table for 5 pax.
