Google
It’s a cool neighborhood bar with a back patio and is dog friendly. They have a gigantic connect four and a bumper pool table. There’s a second bar in that playroom. Good drinks. Good selection of beer. It can get a bit loud when the bar starts getting full. At least in the main bar area.

Google
Highly recommend Central Park Bar for events! We were able to reserve a spot on the back patio for a party and it was perfect. Booking was simple, the atmosphere was so fun, and the price for a private party was very reasonable. Mickey worked with us day-of and was awesome. We'll definitely think of them again for future events!

Google
I’ve gone to CPB once before and liked the atmosphere. For my Birthday I decided to get a nightcap on the patio on a Monday at 10:30pm. My friend and I were not acknowledged at all while we very awkwardly waited at the semi empty bar. Worst experience I’ve ever had. As someone who is in the industry I understand even if it doesn’t look busy there’s still things that need to be done. However, the bare minimum is “hello, I’ll be with you shortly”

Google
No food but they do get some pop up vendors every once in awhile. You can always bring food in from other places as well. Dog friendly until 8pm. 50% drinks on weekdays until 7pm. One of the best happy hours. Coolest outdoor bars in Chicago

Google
Great neighborhood bar with a phenomenal patio. Love how there are games, tvs, and full bar on the patio. Lots of seating but it can fill up quick on a nice day out, especially a random nice, winter day in chicago. They also have a steal of a happy hour, definitely check them out

Google
My friends and I came for a drink and OF THEIR OWN VOLITION the bartenders turned on the finale of love island. My friends and I had 2+ drinks each and all tipped 25%. As we were leaving we heard the bartender, who was outside smoking, complain that we closed our tabs and sat at a table to watch the end of the show that they decided to put on the tv. In an empty bar on a Sunday. Insane move and, honestly, completely mediocre service to be complaining that we didn’t want to stay and hang out with those loser vibes. BOOOOOOO

Google
This place used to be awesome when it first opened, so I decided to visit after moving back to California. Unfortunately, I was surprised by how much the service has declined, especially at the bar outside. The female servers were unfriendly and acted like serving us was a chore. It was rude and unprofessional, particularly when they messed up my order and seemed annoyed when I asked for a correction. I was considering having my birthday party here, but after tonight, I’m really glad I came to check it out first. I definitely won't be bringing my guests to this place. It's not worth your time or tips. Instead, I recommend going to Mother’s Ruin, which just opened. I was thrilled to find another option with a much better vibe and service nearby.

Google
Not sure if it had food cause it got dust-stormed out, but dont believe they sell food themselves in general. Cool vibe, especially on a nice day. Unfortunately lackluster service, whether it was incredibly slow or simply inattentive bartenders - I recognize it could just be an off night staffing wise. The lack of communication amongst the staff was evident. Much less inclined to go for any prolonged drinking. Upon reading the other reviews i realize others had similar qualms with the outdoor bar staff - oof. Mother's ruin >>>

Yelp
Central Park Bar is a perfect spot for a chill patio beer with your friends! They have a nice spot outside with open seating and a swing and some games too - it was a very chill and cosy atmosphere. We got the pickle beers here and gosh they are definitely an acquired but fun taste! Quick service and overall well packed with people so this is definitely a bar I'd love to come back to!

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink for the first time. I'm struck by the spacious patio, I like the branding for the Chicago Parks. It was happy hour when I walked in. Got a Sazerac and a Negroni they were both made well. Originally wanted a Last Word but they were out of Chartreuse which is becoming common these days with so many people making cocktails at home and monks production level not keeping up. I would certainly recommend checking it out for the happy hour deal.

Yelp
Always a good time at this bar. Really nice patio area which become enclosed in the winter. Very dog friendly bar (inside & out). Staff are nice here and not pretentious that you sometimes get at Chicago bars. This watering hole has good assortment of liquor options. Happy Hour is from 4 to 7pm and offers 50% drinks. Really no limits on the 50% off. They have some top shelf limitations. I ordered margaritas both times that I have been here and they were yummy. Husband had the old fashion and he enjoyed his drink.

Yelp
This is a personal favorite place for my dog and I being in the neighborhood! We have been here countless times and the drinks never dissapoint! My favorite bartenders are the long haired man and the short blonde haired woman! I need to figure out their names lol! The bartender with the curly long hair has given me and my friend a lot of attitude but the place is such a vibe and is by far the best happy hour in chicago! The music is rock and roll and there's a Photo Booth! But like I said dog friendly until 8:00PM makes a great bar in my opinion!! The lush is a personal favorite !

Yelp
Went here during the week for their happy hour and it did not disappoint. Drinks were great, different, and definitely fairly priced. The outdoor patio was super spacious and dog friendly as well. Really enjoyed the indoor space as well for the colder months. Overall loved the atmosphere and look forward to coming back when I'm up north

Yelp
Our peeps are always winding up at different bars. My love and I were lured to visit the Central Park Bar, at an obscure location on Central Park just south of Milwaukee Avenue. The five of us bellied up to the bar and enjoyed half-price Happy Hour drinks (weeknights 4 to 7PM). The cocktails were pretty good, and twice as good as they were half-off. My loved enjoyed her Berry Cute (with Malort and vodka) while I liked my girly-looking Scott's New Party Shirt. After a few cocktails, we really enjoyed looking at the charismatic wall coverings. They also have an outdoor patio, which we did not use that evening as the weather was miserable outside.

Yelp
Yea, we'll take a half off happy hour ANY DAY of the week. Solid bar in the area. Walked in and was met with a smile from the bartender behind the bar. Grabbed the UNO cards and a seat at the patio tables on the outside patio. Ordered very tasty drinks from the outside bar and really enjoyed the music and atmosphere of this spot. Very chill with heavy pours.

Yelp
I don't want to re-write this review... I'm just adding photos here but for some reason it doesn't let me add them to the review I already wrote; there's no way to edit the review and add photos. So here's a new photo review. Love the look and feel of this place!

Yelp
I love this bar. I watched the construction of it over the course of the pandemic so I was exited to finally try it. The main bar area is small but there's a covered patio that's enclosed for winter which is awesome! Their bar seemed fully stocked and their cocktails were interesting and fun. I had a cocktail with malort in it and it was delicious - the malort wasn't as prominent as you'd expect. What I loved is they had non-alcoholic spirits behind the bar. My friend isn't a huge drinker and asked the cocktail for something fruity using the Seedlip non-alcoholic spirit, and she said it was amazing. Definitely can't wait to go back!

Yelp
One of my favorite neighborhood stops. Great staff, nice patio and when it's not packed, a really chill spot to hang. Recommend making it part of your night (or day) out for sure.

Yelp
Happy hour 4-7 Monday-Friday! We were able to get specialty cocktails for $6 (normally $12)! All drinks are half off during happy hour so there are even cheaper options available. This place is near my friends house where we were staying. Seemed like a great neighborhood bar, they have a swanky inside bar and then a cute outdoor area. We came on a Tuesday, but they have a food truck that comes on fridays (the gilty pig), which is also supposed to be good if you're able to go on a Friday!

Yelp
This place is a great 2 for 1 deal! Inside has the cozy, warm atmosphere of an old corner bar that's been cleaned up & polished a bit while keeping the best parts. Music was a good volume for conversation while still keeping things lively, bartenders were friendly & attentive. Outside is a modern, spacious patio. Plenty of heaters if it's a little chilly, lots of seating, including some awesome porch swings. Drinks were well made, appropriately priced & yummy!!

Yelp
Great rebuild of an old bar! Wonderful cocktails, outdoor space and sick food when the food truck is there! Check them out on Friday nights for half price drinks during happy hour!

Juliajoy M.

Yelp
My friends and I went to this bar and the bartender Levi was THE BEST! He was very personable and funny. They played great music in the bar and it was a great environment. I will definitely be back thanks to Levi!

Katy H.

Yelp
Drinks at CPB were mid/overpriced and service.... would have been nice. Podlasie, next door, is a good time though. Drinks tasted good, reasonably priced and the backroom dancefloor is a hidden gem.

Yelp
Well! Don't bother going if you have 'kids'. I was excited ti finally try out the cute place and was told at the door that they don't allow kids. Mine is 3 months old, in a stroller and quiet as a mouse but I guess it is what it is. Sucks because thier patio looked super cute for summer.

Eric B.

Yelp
Great cocktails, great outdoor space. Cool bar inside with green chairs.

Jess A.

Yelp
The frozen spicy mango margarita was sooooo good! 10/10 recommend. The place is cute and the staff is nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Great bar bad security imo. Security had a power trip and kicked me out because I left out through the exit connected to the outside patio. He said I couldn't leave out that way and said I was not allowed entry back into the bar.

Marcell S.

Yelp
Authentic New York themed bar where you get ripped off at the bar. Ordered a simple liquor and mixer drink. The bartender poured right in front of us a 1-1.5 second pour of liquor and the mixer for $9.50. For reference a proper drink should be a 3 second pour.

Yelp
This used to be The Podhale. This is a new tavern from Four Entertainment Group, owners of the Owl, Estelle's, and Easy Bar. The specialty cocktails are mostly twelve dollars except for one. They don't serve food.
google avatar

Norma H.

Yelp
Great outdoor patio with heat lamps for cool nights. Happy hour is from 4-7. They don't serve food but they do serve a charcuterie box with toast, jelly, honey, tiny pickles and three cheeses if Yulye really hungry.

Yelp
Awesome place, great patio, and nice people! We went here for Halloween and had a great time.

Yelp
Disgusting behavior - avoid this place. On 11/27, myself, my best friend, and my fiancé entered the bar with no trouble. We were excited to check out the new bar we excitedly watched being built. Shortly after (about 7-8 min), our friend was denied entry due to a "private event", which obviously was not the case as we easily entered the bar on a busy Saturday night. When he attempted to meet him at the door, the "bouncer" became aggressive and pushed my fiancé out of the door as he was questioning why his friend was not allowed in. We didn't pay a cover, we weren't given a hassle, so what was the issue? Clearly the bouncer was discriminating in some way by not allowing him to enter based on appearance.

Kristin L.

Yelp
My husband and I tried going to happy hour with our 10 month old yesterday at 4pm for happy hour. We were looking forward to finally getting the chance to check out this place as it's been on our list for a while. The back patio with picnic tables was quite open with plenty of seating available. We were rudely greeted by a bouncer at the front door who simply shook his head as soon as we walked in and said we couldn't come in. This is the first time we've been to any bar/restaurant in Chicago and denied entry with our child. I understand if they are trying to maintain a certain type of atmosphere but no where does it say no kids allowed anywhere on website. Also, it was 4pm and an open back patio. It's not like we were trying to come in at 9pm on a Friday night. I am very disappointed in how they treated us. Needless to say we won't be coming back without our daughter and will make sure to spread the word on this negative experience.

Yelp
This place is great! It is very tastefully decorated inside and out. There are heaters and a fire pit outside. Plenty of outside seating including porch swings. It is dog friendly. Our bartender Levi was very nice and was cranking out delicious cocktails two at a time.

Emily T.

Yelp
Security is very iffy , you cant take a drink outside even if your alone and worried to leave it unattended as you go to get your food . Amazing food truck tho and good vibes from everything but the staff.

Ann T.

Yelp
I love this place! Good drinks, great bar and nice bartenders! I've lived in a nearby neighborhood for over 15 years and it's a wonderful addition. We went during Happy Hour so drinks were 1/2 off but I'd go anytime. Haven't checked out the patio but I"ll be back for sure!
