Central Park

"The stately national monument that houses Central Park is quite a sight to behold. This magnificent palace with breathtaking views of the surrounding grounds is the perfect setting in which to enjoy sophisticated fine dining. Luxury is the name of the game here, but there's nothing stuffy about this place. The service staff are attentive, and the selection of wines and champagnes is really impressive. An overnight stay at the hotel is the perfect way to round off your experience. But first, take the chance to savour a finely crafted take on classic, coherent dishes. Traditional cooking techniques and intense sauces make for wonderfully crisp and vibrant culinary creations. Clever new twists produce surprising results. The earthy, sweet and sour nuances of beetroot combined with fresh blackberries, foie gras and a robust jus with sweet notes of sherry form the perfect accompaniment to duck cooked on the carcass. Grilled fillet of turbot is elevated by textures of carrot, mussels and a beautifully aromatic mussel nage. Come to Central Park for no-nonsense cuisine packed with subtle yet pronounced flavours." - Michelin Inspector

High quality hotel located in the grounds of beautiful gardens a few minutes walk from the quaint High Street of Voorburg containing a supermarket, bars, restaurant and independent shops. There is a high attention to detail in the rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. The shower and bath were top quality. The staff were all very helpful and professional and they upgraded one of our rooms which we were very thankful for. The hotel does operate a popular Michelin star restaurant downstairs but it was too pricey for us unfortunately. There is a small car park for guests containing EV chargers. If the spaces aren't occupied by selfish ICE owners you can ask the helpful staff to assist you with a charging fob and they'll put the charges on the room.  If you get the opportunity, visit the food/craft market on Saturday morning. It takes place on the street right outside the hotel.

We had the luxe chef’s menu at the Central Park restaurant and honestly, it was such a great experience. For a place with that kind of grounds and view, the food could’ve been mediocre and they’d still probably get away with it but it just happened to be that the food, service, and setting were all phenomenal. The little radish tart (shaped like a rose, too cute) was one of the first bites and it was so good. The beet gel amuse was insanely flavorful- tiny but packed a punch. Then we had a mussel mousse with the honeycomb crisp on top. Stunning and actually tasted even better- a super well balanced dish. The crab salad was another standout. Apraragus, (ripe) green strawberries, caviar, light sauce… PHENOMMMMM. One of those dishes you randomly think about weeks later. We also had their staple whitefish as a main but I was quite full by this point and not as much in the mood for hot food. The raspberry dessert with the CP stamp looked amazing but was a little too tart/acidic for me. The soufflé though? Unreal. Like, “wake me up in the middle of the night for a bite of that”. I would absolutely go back, no question. It felt special without being stuffy, and there was certainly no bad food here! They earned their star for sure 😊

True Perfection True perfection of service in a hotel or a restaurant only exists when imperfections are exposed and the staff adapt. It's nobody's fault, but the staff apologise. Not in a servile way, but because they put themselves in your shoes. The restaurant is exceptional. Old fashioned service and classic French cuisine with the right amount of updates. Deep, eclectic and well-planned cellar. Engaged staff. The rooms are a little down at heel. But the people who work here, as well as the owner, who's present and hard at work, know that the key to good service is good intentions. This is worth more that fifty flower bouquets. Speaking of which, the flowers in the hotel are stunning. Overall I love this place and I can't wait to come back. But even better was the food. The chef made the best Hollandaise Sauce I had ever tasted.

phenomenal cuisine, beautiful interiors (and surroundings) and excellent service - I organized a wedding dinner in the restaurant and I know that it was the best choice. I couldn't have dreamed of a better day - I thank all the staff for contact and support on this important day. and I will definitely come back here more than once just for the food (and wine selection). I recommend it to everyone!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Lovely boutique hotel. Why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars: Our room number 5 is at the first floor above the main entrance and close to kitchen, one Thursday night was super noise to 1:30am because they have a special event, people kept talking loudly and staff moved things around after 11pm, everything together was not a nice experience, we could not sleep well. We went to the bar and restaurant for dinner and drinks. It was an excellent dining experience, totally worth Michelin star. For the last morning, we stay in hotel to enjoy the breakfast, it was great!

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday at Central Park in Den Haag, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the restaurant exceeded all expectations, offering an experience that truly feels deserving of a Michelin star.
