Central Records in downtown Phoenix is a hidden gem that we’re thrilled to have discovered while wandering around late at night. From the moment we stepped in, the dark, moody atmosphere set the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. The drinks were delightfully affordable, allowing us to indulge without breaking the bank. Between the two of us, we enjoyed three vodka sodas and three dirty gin martinis—the martinis being the best I've ever tasted! Zack took really good care of us! The service was exceptional, with staff attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The bathroom was remarkably clean, a detail that often goes unnoticed but greatly appreciated. What truly added to the experience was the crowd; everyone was laid-back and engaging, making for enjoyable conversations. Central Records has definitely earned a spot in our regular rotation of go-to places for a great night out. If you’re in Phoenix and looking for a place with quality drinks and a chill vibe, this is it!

Central Records offers a chic and laid-back atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. The Espresso Flip was delightful, complemented by the friendly and attentive service. Whether you're flying solo or hanging out with friends, this spot is ideal. The music is at a comfortable volume, making it easy to enjoy a good book or conversation. I visited before the DJ started, but I appreciate that they feature one during select hours.

Went here for the first time after their renovation for the open mic night on a Wednesday. It was a lot of fun I got to see my friends play their instruments and poetry. I ordered a botanical soda and my two friends did as well. I will definitely be going back!!

Stopped in for the first time last night since we were in the area. Cool little place, with friendly service and good music at a pleasant volume (loud enough to appreciate while still allowing us to carry on a normal conversation). Dim mood lighting but still bright enough to read the menus and see that the place was clean. I like that they had a non-alcoholic beer option (Buckler). Very non-pretentious place, which is refreshing.

I stumbled upon this place by accident on my way back to my hotel the other night. I didn't eat or drink anything, but I got some great vinyl. I think it's a great concept having records for sale in a cool place to hang. They also have a studio with a live DJ spinning most of the time. They also stream all of their sets online so you don't even have to go there to enjoy the music. A great little shop that I truly enjoyed digging in. I look forward to dropping in again the next time I'm in town!

Back in time, vinyl was King. This shop has eclectic records, collectors and if you only have $1 you can buy from the $1 bin This is also a host to another great business Skoden coffee 1st nations women owned with super good quality coffee drinks and home made Navajo pastries

I ordered the pho-tonic, definitely an acquired taste kinda drink. I also ordered a cheesy scone which was served warm and it was delicious. I'll definitely return to try some other items on the menu.

Plenty of paid and free street parking available, card-only. This is easily one of the dopest spots in downtown Phoenix, boasting the ability to quench your thirst, satisfy your stomach, and tickle your ear drums...all at the same time. You can nab one of their natural wines (by the glass or bottle) or grab a delicious beer (lots of local options!) while Dana artistically assembles a delicious plate for you and you peruse the fantastic selection of vinyl they have. On top of all that, they brew delcious coffee and have an assortment of non-alcohokic options! Not sure what you're shopping for when it comes to the vinyl? Use the handy-dandy QR code on each album to be taken directly to the digital album so you can give it a listen. Furthermore, they offer up art and music magazines and books, both for purchase or browsing. Check out their weekly wine/media/dinner specials and swing by at night for their ever-rotating DJ sets. HIGHLY recommended!

as a member of the SWW mahjong club, central records is an absolute pleasure to be at every 3rd thursday. it's an intimate spot that holds space for local DJs with limited, but amazing drinks! the food is often slept on, but TRUST ME, it's been a hit no matter what i've ordered. the muff sandwich is one of the best i've ever had, and their espresso flip has to be the best espresso martini drink i've ever had (it is very easy to knock a couple of these back TRUST ME)... i love what central records does for the phx community, hosting skoden coffee in the mornings, and having weekly local events in the evenings. i love this place and i look forward to a good experience every time i step foot in this place!

This is a chill vibe for sure, if you are moved by jazz music , history and a unique experience this will check all your boxes. Tonight's event is kicked off by a pop up collaboration with a local chef and a local business owner. This is a special event , RSVP only. The aromatic Smokey sents of delicious food tingles my senses and has me nearly floating if not salivating . The dimmed lights and fun disco ball set the tone for an intimate night of good music with your soul mate , friends and family . The venue small but not uncomfortable , clean with decor articulately displayed .dont skip the restroom , lol , cute nostalgic set up in there too. Staff on board were all professional, coordinated and complimented each other. Cheers my friends as I take in the views , scents , music and the good vibes!

I'm glad we rolled through Central records on a busy first Friday night. A DJ was spinning in the back booth. The music was smooth and hipster vibes were on point. We ordered the garlic and goat cheese bread and drinks. The garlic and goat cheese bread was delicious. The garlic was roasted and bread was crispy. Small portion, so not great for sharing. Adjacent to Central records is Huarachis. I'd recommend stopping in for a cocktail and app if there is a wait on a weekend evening.

Very cool spot downtown. I am not a drinker but if I was I would be a regular here. They had a DJ on Friday night. My sister order a cocktail and we shared the garlic goat cheese bread. Very tasty. I would come back and have small bites again.

We stopped into Central Records on their third birthday. It's a hip wine bar and record store and they serve food! They had DJs mixing music and dancing in the booth, and it was good vibes overall. The workers were very friendly and were telling us about the history of the place and how it's technically two stores housed under one roof. The record side will have DJ events, which you can find posted on their Instagram. They had a lot of wine to choose from and we went with an orange wine. They had plenty of vegetarian options, from small bites to salads and sandwiches. I loved the garlic and goat cheese and the mushroom pate! They were bigger portions than I expected and perfect for a quick bite for lunch. We sat in the front area and people watched out the window as we ate lunch.

We really enjoyed it here! The Vodka Gimlet was excellent, a very refreshing summer drink perfect for the Phoenix heat. We came on Thursday night which is jazz night which has a special menu. Everything was delicious! Especially the Summer Paella! Nice and friendly service too, Jordan was great! Also, the ambiance inside is perfect, warm and cozy, yet energetic and lively, such a great balance. Oh and they have coffee here in case you need a pick me up!

Loved it here. Got their espresso martini and it is the best I've had! The vibes are immaculate and the service is top-notch. So glad I discovered this gem during my visit to Phoenix.

Pretty cool spot for drinks! Great selection of beer and wine, cocktail list is nice but quite limited. Well honestly all the drink options are limited but they're very well curated. The staff is kind and helpful. Seems to draw a chill and eclectic crowd. This is an ideal spot for early evening drinking, not too loud or crowded but definitely lively enough to be fun. 1 star reduction because, as other reviewers have noted, there are like 150-200 records in the whole place, which makes its name feel a bit misleading. The records are neither well known nor well priced. Come here for the drinks and atmosphere, if you want records just go to Bookman's.

So cool! As soon as I got an ad for this place on Instagram I knew I had to try it! Went with my family here and it was fun! I got a cider, no food this time, but it looked good. The vibe is really hip and laid back here. Do wish the records were organized a little better, but still it was awesome! Cool bathroom here. Good service too, got a little busy and the bartender was still attentive. Worth checking out for sure!

The ambiance and music is everything. The energy is usually pretty chill in a fun relaxed way. I'm vegan so not too much for me to eat however, if you've got an eclectic pallet this place is for you! Overall wasn't very impressed with my drink, I ordered a Mai Tai that appear to be missing a few ingredients that you'd find at a regular bar (which I'm aware this is not). A friend and I considered coming here a getting shots instead of mixed drinks next time just because the pricing is very affordable and the vibe was immaculate. My honest rating is a 4.5 solely because of the drinks however, I'm not going to obliterate their ratings because everything else was great.

My boyfriend came across this place on social media, we ended up going one night and fell in love! We love the variety of wine and drinks and small bites! Love the range of DJs that play throughout the night. Great service and overall great atmosphere.

Great ambiance and great service. Jake and Will are awesome and very personable. They have a great wine selection and make great recommendations. The food is so good and fresh and the sound system is perfect. They have guest DJs every week so there's always a variety.

This is the exact coffee shop / bar you're looking for. Daytime vibes: work laptop, lounge, good music mixes Nighttime vibes: mood lighting and vibes The drinks are good and straight to the point. The main attraction is the ambiance and curation of magazines and records. Definitely a top contender in downtown Phoenix

this place is so just so kickass - awesome decor/atmosphere, BIG selection of beer/wine and a bomb espresso martini. food here is a bunch of small places that are SO good and a killer price (try the anchovy butter!!!) great place for a date or a nightcap with the girlies

The vibe is chill and the staff is too, i tried the salted carmel americano and i love it, menu wise there are refreshments plus alcohol and coffee options of course the usual breakfast and lunch plus some sides and lounge, there are DJ's who will perform their sets which is pretty cool especially since the atmosphere is bar like and a hangout spot, i did come alone but i never felt more welcomed by staff!

Didn't like the lack of culture represented in this place. A little confused on what it is... a bar? a restaurant? a record store? a cafe? Also there's always a ton of people smoking cigarettes right outside of the door.

Wonderful coffee and service. A cool concept and welcome addition to Phoenix. Will definitely be coming back.

This is what has been missing!!! Great vinyl collections, magazines, and DJ sets. This is a place where you can get work done, depending on the time of day, and also have a good time with friends. I love where this business is going.

There's no place in Phoenix like this. Head here for good wine and tunes. Service and food are amazing.

Wanted to try this spot for a while. Really good vibe and set up, but unfortunately couldn't get service. Got menus from one of the two workers there. We asked him if we order at our table or up at the counter, he said either works. Sat there then for 10 minutes and didn't get waited on. My wife even went up to the counter and sat down and no one acknowledged her. We chose to leave at that point when we saw a couple who came in 5 minutes after we came in get helped first. Sad thing is they weren't even busy. Saw lots of standing around and looking at phones from both employees there.

My new favorite spot! Such a gorgeous place. Lots of love went into this and you can tell. Awesome record store, the selection is fantastic. DJs are playing the best tunes all the time in the built-in dj booth. Amazing food and drinks. Good cheap beer. Super super friendly and attentive staff. There's something really special about this place. I could spend all day here (I have before and will for sure in the future). So happy this place exists!!!!

This place is a hot mess. Understandably, they might be short staffed because there were two workers but neither of them seemed to know what their role was. The positive was the vibe and the music but that's not enough to save a place. Really wanted to like it here but it was slow to get service and they seemed to be out of half of their menu.
