Where to Eat on Minneapolis’s Eat Street Corridor | Eater Twin Cities

"Best known for its fast-casual setting and its killer tacos and margaritas, Centro has expanded its menu to burgers, tater tots, and banana cream pie at its new Eat Street location. Everywhen, the burger bar, serves crispy smash burgers, a habanero mayo-drizzled chicken sandwich, and a crunchy, cabbage slaw-laden Mahi Mahi burger, which rests on a glossy brioche bun. These updates are a welcome addition to Centro’s delightfully drippy and flavorful tacos." - Natalia Mendez

Peek Inside the New Eat Street Centro - Eater Twin Cities

"Centro’s newest location opens on Eat Street with a menu featuring tacos, enchiladas, and crunch wraps from the Northeast location, along with an abbreviated menu from sister cafe and bakery Vivir. Centro also introduces Everywhen Burger Bar, a smash burger concept, with high-quality fast food smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, hand-cut fries, tater tots, salads, and a dessert menu including banana cream and pineapple cream pies, and ice cream cookie sandwiches. The new Centro mirrors much of the Northeast location’s design with pink walls, wood accents, and a mod bar, and includes communal seating and a patio. The team plans to expand Centro throughout the Twin Cities." - Justine Jones

I met up with some colleges for our workplace burger club. It was an interesting arangement. A bit lt a food court style as there were at least three menus. In addition to the burgers, there was a mexican menu, and one that had wrap thingys. I liked that I could mix and match from the different menus to arange my meal. Vibes were okay, but it felt a bit liminal given how large and open the dining area was. I would almost certainly return for some of the menu items.

My son enjoyed his burger and fries, but everything else was just okay. The rest of our party got a selection of tacos and quesadillas. Other than the shrimp tacos which were fantastic, the rest of the items were under seasoned. The quesadilla had too much cheese and no seasoning we could tell.

I wish they either had servers to bus the tables or they had a spot to bus your own table so you don’t sit with a crowded table full of dirty dishes. Food is fine… like upscale Taco Bell I guess. Also my back hurt sitting on a backless bench for 3 hours during trivia. Oh and they got my order wrong too

Came in to try the Hippo Pockets. I had the OG original: taco beef, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes. The thing that makes it awesome is the crunchy corn tortilla inside the giant flour tortilla pocket sandwich. Maybe more like a purse than a pocket! Very tasty, a variety of textures and temperatures. Also got the fun Orange Crème w/ Mango Jelly cubes. Sweet and tasty with tartness from the orange and mango. Have had the Mexican food before - always love it!

Me and my wife decided to try out whenever Burger that's inside of this restaurant. It had a nice atmosphere and it is very retro sheek on the restaurant side, we're not drinkers so we didn't sit on the bar side. I had the whatever Burger and the wife had a melt sandwich. Both of them are really good. Amazingly seasoned oil and cooked to a nice medium well which most restaurants don't do well. The fries were good and salty and hot just the way I like them. 👌🏾👍🏾 Most definitely will be back to this place and recommended it to friends around the area. A nice place for a quick date night. And it was reasonably priced.

This is the perfect place to eat with kids before seeing a show at the Childrens Theater. It’s only an eleven minute walk. They have a traditional kids menu, but the quesadillas were enjoyed the kids too. We were a group of 15, and we were offered a room upon our arrival, which worked perfectly. The staff were very attentive and checked on us frequently. The food was delivered quickly. We started off with a couple orders of chips and cheese. Then an assortment of tacos with rice and bean bowls. The favorites were the mushroom tacos, and shrimp tacos, but all we tried were good. The guacamole was a bit spicy for us midwesterners. Good beer selections and Mexican mules. The whole experience was a perfect pre-theater dinner gathering. We talked about making this an annual event. What a treasure to be able to find an affordable place to accommodate a large group and receive such excellent service. Thank you for making the evening so memorable.

🍽️ Where Flavor Meets Vibe—No Time for Photos, Just Pure Enjoyment! One of the best signs of a great spot? You can’t even pause to snap a pic before diving into the food—and this place delivers that every time. The dishes are so good, it’s impossible to wait. It’s hands down my favorite go-to for a bite and a drink, especially during Pride weekend. Whether you’re fueling up with friends or catching your breath between celebrations, this place gives you that perfect space to eat, chill, recharge, and then jump right back into the fun.

We came in for hippo pockets after trying the other location and got exactly what we came in for 🔥 The pockets were so good paired up with their waffle fries! Service was great too, definitely recommend checking them out!

Yelp
This place is a cute and clean vibe. Order at the front or at your table through a QRC. Sometimes I don't want to deal with waitstaff , so I'm game for this. Service staff seemed to turn over tables quick and throughly - and were nice enough for what I encountered. Bathrooms were very clean and accessible by all (very wheelchair friendly) which was nice to see as I don't think most take this into consideration. Food was just OK and seemed fairly overpriced for what it was. Got the ceviche, nachos, crunch, house lemonade, and queso. Nothing overall that made my mouth water and want to come back for more. Maybe I missed the memo on what's best here. Overall, if you're in the area and not on a frugal dining budget - try them out. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit though.

Yelp
We come to centro OFTEN. We have came to eat full meals quite a few times, we've stopped by for a drink and chips, and we've came to happy hour a handful of times. The building is huge and shares a space with another restaurant. There's plenty of seating and a big bar! They also have a good patio space. It is a seat yourself and order on your phone type of place so you hardly interact with the staff. However, when I have they have been friendly and speedy. They have trivia here as well sometimes! First off, the sangria is so delicious. I have to get at least one every time we come in. ESPECIALLY during their happy hour! I also always order oysters when i come here! Surprisingly they have really delicious, fresh, plump oysters! I enjoy them more here than some high end places! During happy hour they're only $2 which is a great deal. Their bowl is delicious and i always add extra jalapeño. Their crunch wraps are great, we've had the birria, cool ranch and takis. The cool ranch was just alright but the other two my boyfriend loved. Their chips and dip are a good price and all of the dips you get are super delicious. They give you as many chip refills as you want too. The only downside I have ever had about this place is last time we went in on an 85°+ day, there seemed to be no air conditioning on or it wasn't turned very high. Which was a bummer because we were trying to escape the heat. Other than that I have 0 complaints! I will always love coming to centro.

Yelp
Loved this!! I went to the eat street location. Was bummed I missed their $2 oyster but will definitely be back. We sat at our table and ordered from the app but you have the option to go order from the table. We got a selection of tacos pictured. Everything was really yummy but that Chicken guallijo was life changing! Also got their frozen margs. I thought the prices were pretty decent for two people. Excluding drinks. We spent roughly $30 on tacos. Chips and guac! Easy casual vibes with cute paintings. Service was good. And will definitely be back

Yelp
Chicken Enchiladas (verde sauce, queso, crema, romaine, avocado, gf, v) Taco Tuesdays are great and all, but enchiladas deserve their moment too After multiple @centro_twincities recs, finally made the stop! These chicken enchiladas were the perfect combination of slight tang from the sauce and simmering spice, along with the heartiness of a chicken filling balanced by the freshness of the veggies on top. Very spacious and cute/casual spot as well!

Yelp
This was the second time we've been here. Love just ordering from the table. The queso was really good. Has a little heat to it which was nice. And the chips are super good, practically addictive. Also had a fish taco and carnitas taco. The fish was nice and crispy. The carnitas en adobo was tasty. Would definitely come here again and try the Centro Crunch. One of our friends ordered that and highly recommend it.

Yelp
Went to Centro for lunch. They have a nice lunch special that includes two tacos and chips and salsa for $15. There was a large selection of taco options to choose from. You select based on the protein type rather than getting to see what ingredients are also in the taco. They were messy but still good. I had to eat mine with a fork (don't tell my ancestors lol). You order through your phone/QR code. Staff bring you the food and clean it up afterwards. There is a small parking lot in the back. There is construction going on in the building next door and I ended up being blocked in. They move it as soon as I asked, but kind of a bummer overall.

Yelp
Same great Centro now with burgers! Cool location with tons of space! Plus if some of you in your group are not in the mood for Mexican style food you can order burgers! You got choices! The space is awesome! Take a big group here! Parking wasn't too bad for a weekday evening. Threat of weather may had something to do with that, but if you're in the area definitely check it out. I quite enjoyed my Happy Hour margarita and "crunch wrap". Is that trademarked? Much better than Taco Hell's ingredients and fun to eat! The nopales tacos were ok, but cacti gets slimy sometimes so the texture is hit or miss. The queso was pretty good! My friend got the last International Women's Day beautiful pastry so I took a photo. I did not get a bite unfortunately.

Yelp
Had a great lunch here! You order via a QR code which I thought was pretty smooth. We sat outside and enjoyed some of their yummy cocktails and each got the Lunch Special which was two Tacos with a side of chips and salsa. Food came out very quick. Loved the bright colors and the murals on the outside of the restaurant.

Yelp
We went for our granddaughter's birthday party and had a private room. The quesadillas were so cheesy and the chicken was tender with just the right spice. We also had chips, which seemed homemade and great for dipping in the delicious guacamole. I had good street tacos but the barbacoa was a little too spicy for me.

Yelp
My husband and I got the The Centro Crunch and tots. Oh my goodness! It's a lot of bang for your buck! First I have to say the staff is really nice and friendly. It was very clean and spacious inside. Loved the indoor/outdoor feel with the side open. I wondered about critters possibly running in. Lol. Back to the food. We got it to go and it didn't take long to get our food at all. We love closer so that helped. But you get generous portions. If you eat it all, it will put you in a coma. The tots were crisp and the dipping sauce, I could have used a gallon of that! I don't remember the name, but get extra! In MY opinion who needs Taco Bell, Chipotle or Qdoba! Centro is the joint!! Don't come for me. Just saying...

Yelp
We discovered this place with the Children's Theater recommendation. The prices were reasonable. We went during happy hour, which is 3-6 pm Sunday-Friday, and was able to snag chips and salsa and my very first time with oysters. They also have a kid's meal available; my niece had chicken tenders with carrot sticks. For appetizers, we shared yuca fries. It has a slight crunch; the seasoning is not overpowering, doesn't taste greasy, and goes very well with their serrano ginger aioli. The chips and salsa were also good. It looks like their chips are made in-house. The three salsas that came with it were salsa roja, salsa verde, & salsa cruda. I ordered braised beef tacos. It was filled with a decent amount of protein. My husband ordered carnitas en adobo and chorizo, which has a spicy kick, but he loves it. My sister ordered chicken tinga, pescado, and guajillo chicken tacos. The oysters were fresh. The oysters did not come in a tray full of ice; it was bedded with salt underneath. It comes with salsa, mignonette, lime, and a few forks. The meat was soft. The juice on the oyster was salty. Overall, I'd order it again. The service was good. There is a 10% service charge on all transactions. You are able to order your food & drinks at the counter or by scanning the QR code on your phone. It is a great place to go for casual dining. It was 5:30PM when we went, and it had decent traffic. Some dine alone; some dine with friends and family.

Michelle B.

Yelp
Food was okay. Hoping it gets better the longer they are open. We will definitely try it again. New restaurant growing pains. The manager or supervisor kept sampling the drinks the entire time we were sitting at the bar! Lol. All while wearing some pretty short shorts. Bartender was super nice and attentive.

Yelp
Food is ok, but finished my food, and never got my drink after noticing it didn't come out after a while and even after asking for it. Asked for a refund, and was told it would be processed later. For the price of the food, I'd hope the online ordering would be a little more streamlined, and this isn't the first time this has happened

Yelp
I just don't get what they were thinking when they designed this interior: the seating is *pretty* but awkward if you're not in a large group as virtually every table for many people...unless you want a high top (ick for some folks with mobility issues or just comfort) or sit at a bar. The space has lots of empty area for no reason other than furniture wasn't provided -- it hurts the intimacy. There's a faux food hall concept like it's 2018 (despite its many flaws, nearby Eat Street Crossing did it better). Service uses QR codes to order. I don't mind them but -- again for no clear reason -- they use an inferior system to other places that do like Alma. At Alma you scan the QR code and the system knows your table. Here it's additional info to fill out. The menu is different for the sake of being different. The old, Mexican standards are good, though my taco's tortillas fell apart when I picked it up... was it stale? Was it sitting out too long that it soaked up too much juice? The burgers are this location's idea of being different... and they're fine, nothing exceptional. Some of the better options from the original location were sacrificed for generic burgers. They generously add a 10% fee to all the food for staff wages, before tip in a restaurant where you only see a brief smile as they set plates in front of you. This location just feels tone deaf. Reminds me of how (back when it first started to grow as a local chain before going national), Famous Dave's initial locations were all pretty different from each other as they figured out what worked. Centro is now aspiring to be a local chain and doing the same sort of tests. [RIP Popol Vul] Here's a recommendation: stick to the format that worked so well with the first one! Maybe add another one of their "hidden" Escondido mezcal bars...

Z M.

Yelp
I eat here frequently since I'm close to the location. Positive: The crunchwraps are very good, as are the birria items, and the nachos are good. Cute interior and fast service. Negative: The drinks are always EXTREMELY weak for the high price and the patio tends to blast music so loudly it's uncomfortable.

Yelp
First time at this location, and this time what we ordered left a favorable impression. - the centro crunchy wrap is very filling and tasty. Similar to taco bell, but elevated and better. - tatertots are lightly seasoned, crunchy and good. Added a side of queso to the order which went well with it, the wrap, and burger. -spicy kick in life burger was very good, and not really spicy. -margarita was very good and had I not been driving I would have gotten another one. Al in all, food was good! The staff we interacted with was cordial. The space was large with a bar and ample seating. Only thing I didn't like was the model of having to order and pay via phone. Quite a few places are doing that these days and for me it takes away from a nice dining experience and gives more of a fast food vibes. If you have questions on the menu, or experiencing issues placing your order finding someone to assist is null. Other than that, I enjoyed the visit.

Yelp
One of my kickball teammates recommended this place to grab some good food and hang out and it was worth the trouble finding parking. It's a fairly self-service affair, you scan a QR code to order food and they run it to your table. I think we waited maybe 10minutes max, granted we went at an odd time around 4pm, but it was still busy. Food was wonderful. Chips were a little harder than expected, but the assorted salsas and Queso were tasty. Loved the yuca fries, always partial to them. Tacos were delicious. Not pictured were the Brussel sprouts, good flavor but a little on the saucy side for my preference. You don't feel rushed to leave the table since it's self-service, would make a great hang out place if you can find a table!
google avatar

Genesis M.

Yelp
4.5 stars First time coming and from the outside the place is very colorful and inviting. It'll be very tricky finding parking (fyi). Once we got in front there is a big sign that says 10% will be added at the end and it does not count as a tip. The sign also tells you that you can grab a table and just order through the QR code. There is an option to skip that and just sit at the bar where someone can take your order. We decided to choose that option. The place is decorated very well and staff was great. I ordered 3 tacos which are definitely on the pricier side. 1 fish taco, a nopal taco, and a carnitas taco. One thing I noticed is that the size of the limes are tiny and hard to squeeze. The fish taco was the one that needed a bit more flavor. I've had fish tacos in Ensenada which are very popular so I tried comparing it to that. I really enjoyed the nopales taco and thought it had a lot more flavor. I could kind of taste epazote which I really enjoyed. Number one was carnitas I thought the sauce was tasty. The taco didn't blow me away but it was good for the high end restaurant it is. The pineapple chunks were tasty but wishes they were charred like the typically are. Over all good high end tacos. There is a difference between tacos you would get at home or at a food truck there is that sight flavor of fat and greasiness that you enjoy which was a difference to these tacos. I ended up enjoying a Tecate and if you know you you know that this what you typically accompany tacos with in Mexico as opposed to a corona or modelo. That was honestly great because I haven't been to a taco place where they served Tecate. I loved the vibe of the place and the food arrived right away. My partner had the carnitas torta and that was definitely very tasty! I would highly recommend getting that. I think any dish that is not a taco you tend to see that it's better priced as opposed to 1 taco. For dessert we tried the guava and cheesecake pastry and it was a big portion. I have to say the bread itself was very sponge and soft. I wish it had more guava because there was only a thin spread of it on the inside that you sort of forgot it was guava flavored . I would definitely want to try other desserts when I come here again.

Yelp
Food was way overpriced and they upcharge virtually every addition to your food. My wife had a burrito which starts at $9.50, add protein is an extra $4.50, add guacamole is an extra $3.00, here is the kicker... add some salsa is an extra $2.00. She also had a $6.00 horchata which was about 10 ounces and no refills. I had the taco trio for $16.50 and had to add a salsa because even with tacos you get no salsa unless you pay extra, unbelievable I know! I added a can of coke for $3.50. Their process of ordering isn't exactly great either. You need to scan a QR code and order your food to your numbered table. There are no refills on your drinks, and if you want to add something to your order, it requires you to again go through the QR code once again. All the server does is drop off your food and they never come back to see if you need anything else or to check on how your meal is. I'm sorry but if I could give this place zero stars i would. The quality of the food is mediocre at best, it's nothing close to authentic mexican food, and the prices are through the roof. Their service is virtually nonexistent besides dumping your food off at your table, and the fact that they charge you $2.00 for mediocre salsa as a condiment for your food is outright ridiculous and is borderline gouging. Look, I'm not fan of Chipotle whatsoever, but after they took a hit this summer due to their smaller portions, Centro makes them look like a way better choice for the quality and the price. our meal came to a total of $54.95 with taxes and a tip for a burrito, three very small tacos, and two drinks. We won't go back again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
google avatar

Yelp
After drinking beers at nearby brewery we stopped here for dinner. We were able to get a high top table for our group of five. This is one of those places where you need to order everything by your phone - the staff only delivers food and drinks they don't take the order or the payment. Frankly I find that set-up annoying. If you go up to the bar you can order a drink the old fashioned way... We got a few items like the chips and salsa sampler on happy hour pricing. I got their Mexican pizza which was pretty good. We also got an order of roasted Brussel sprouts which were good - for Brussel sprouts. My wife got the rice bowl, no protein, which she liked. Whatever the others got was a blur. The food was good but the whole experience left me cold especially given they throw a 10% flat fee on top of everything. Just raise the prices vs. making a social statement.
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Centro is pretty a pretty amazing hang out spot. You can either order from your table or at the counter. There's a couple options, Mexican food or burgers. There's also a bar that make some pretty nice cocktails.

Lauryn W.

Yelp
I'm curious as to why this restaurant has such high reviews given the fact that there are multiple other restaurants in Minneapolis that serve better mexican cuisine. I ordered the Centro Crunchwrap thinking that it would be a better version of the Taco Bell crunch wrap - twas incorrect. There was no flavor, the tomatoes were watery, the beef tasted unseasoned & low quality (genuinely worse than taco bell meat in my opinion) and the lettuce was likely sitting out/multiple days old bc it was very slimey in texture. The wrap itself doesn't come with any sort of sauce on the inside either so it entire thing was very dry. I left half of it uneaten despite paying $14 dollars for something that I could have constructed better following a TikTok recipe. I also tried the esquite and was very disappointed again. The ingredients once again did not taste fresh at all, the corn tasted like it was dumped straight from the can, and was so watery. I took a few bits and couldn't even finish it. If you want to try actual good esquite I would go to La Michoacana on Lake Street or at MOA. Lastly I had their chips and queso which was actually pretty good. The dish included pickled onions which added a nice flavor pairing w the queso. The queso does taste like how you would imagine vegan queso tasting however so if that's not you're thing, I would not order. Overall, this restaurant has really good drinks and a nice vibe but I think those are it's only selling points. I was excited to try the food after only having been here for drinks; and from what I've heard - the quality of the food has really gone down since the chain has started expanding throughout Minneapolis/St. Paul. If you're looking for actual good mexican that won't be as expensive and I can guarantee will taste better - I would go to literally anywhere else in South Minneapolis.

Yelp
I really like the look of this place! It's super cute and fun. They have a small patio in the front facing Nicollet. I didn't even look at the inside. A small parking lot in the back otherwise it's street parking. Street parking can be challenging in this area. There are no waitresses to take your order. Instead, you scan the QR code at the table and order online. It's different but also fairly efficient. The menu is quite simple and underwhelming. The chips and salsa is $7 but it does come with three different salsas. Otherwise it's three dollars during happy hour. The chips weren't my favorite. Not very crunchy or flavorful. I would recommend adding a side of guac. I didn't like the queso. My barbacoa taco was tasteless. I did really love the centro crunch burrito though. It tasted just like a crunchwrap supreme from Taco Bell. Overall, I don't think I would go back.

Yelp
Centro NE is my favorite taco place in the Twin Cities and we have a lot of great ones to choose from. Their new Nicollet Ave location doesn't disappoint, adds burgers and other items not available in NE and a lot more space.
google avatar

Julia L.

Yelp
This is a great new location! It seems larger than the NE location and has stellar vibes for either a drink or casual meals with friends. Street parking is available, friendly staff, you order at the self seat table from a QR code. There's a cool bar in the middle of the whole place that seems really fun to sit at after work or something. I saw they had coffee on the menu and tables to work on so I'm wondering if this is a good place to try coming to on a Friday with my laptop Visited with a group of friends around 7:30pm and ordered a variety of foods: - mushroom & Swiss burger (6/10, was pretty dry and I couldn't tell if there was any mushroom gravy. The mushrooms need to be caramelized.) - spicy kick in life burger (8/10, brioche bun was a bit too buttery but the spicy mayo, relish, and havarti was delicious) - yuca fries (10/10 perfectly crispy, amazing cilantro mayo. Comparable to guava cafe's yuca fries) - spicy noodles (7/10 peanuts, fish sauce, Thai chili peppers. It's a cold noodle dish FYI. I was expecting buckwheat noodle style dish but the white noodles were ok!) - fries (8/10, like McDonalds fries in the best way. The habanero ranch sauce that came with it made it worth.) Overall, I'm so glad this is a new place on eat street. I'll be coming back again f
google avatar

Peter N.

Yelp
I have tried some of their tacos before at the other location in the northeast so we tried some items off their burger bar called Everywhen Burger Bar. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger which was just alright, the bun was very buttery. The description said it came with some roasted mushroom gravy but my burger didn't have much of it. Pretty disappointed with this pick. I tried some of the spicy kick in life burger and that one was better, not at all spicy but again, the brioche bun was a little too buttery and was not charred. We also tried the noodles and chill salad dish which I enjoyed a lot, consisted of a peanut vinaigrette, cucumbers, cilantro, mint and dill. Very refreshing dish, I would get this again. The side of fries was your standard, what made the fries better was the habanero ranch sauce that you can order with it. Overall good atmosphere, you can use this space for work, quick lunch/dinner etc. I would come again

Yelp
Got this got late night take out. Just delicious! Travels well. Green sauce has a little heat but lots of flavor. Avocado was ripe and chicken was juicy!

Yelp
Visited 9/28/23. I would likely give this more a 3.5 versus a 4 but in this case I rounded up. The location of this centro works fine and there was plenty of street parking when I went on a Thursday night on a hinge first date. It was easy for us to get in without a reservation and we got to sit outside which was nice with the lovely weather. The QR code ordering was actually perfect for a first date because then we didn't have to argue about who was going to pay, both of us could order our own. I got a margarita and then the chorizo and fish tacos. I also got a side of rice. The margarita was really solid and this place would be perfect for after work drinks/a happy hour. The tacos were really well filled and I thought they were decent, but I would probably try something different in the future. The side of rice was not my favorite-I was expecting some kind of Mexican rice or cilantro lime, and this was just some brown rice with no flavor. Definitely not a must get. I would try Centro again, especially for the good drinks, but this visit definitely didn't blow me away.

Yelp
The reason why I am giving them a one-star rating is due to their ordering system. It reminds me of Newark Airport which is not a compliment. We had to pass a phone around to order our dinners and drinks. I went to cash out and something was wrong and had to add in my payment information again. And guess what we wanted another drink and had to go through the whole process again. Final straw was when we asked for a glass of water we were shown a cooler type thing and told we could get it ourselves. For a minute I thought I was going to have to clean the table and wash the dishes. Food was good.

The only complaint I have is that the Taki Centro Crunch is only going to be available this month! It was so delightful! The minedelphia hippo pocket was awesome as well! Delightful all around! The ordering on my phone was awesome and the staff was friendly. Definitely going to be coming back!

Yelp
Amazing burgers and the centro crunch is a FAR superior version of Taco Bell's supreme crunch

Yelp
This new central restaurant group location is awesome. It features tacos, a full-service bar, a burger bar, bakery, and more. It's very spacious on the inside, colorful, with tons of seating and a great ambience. The parking is a little tough I think there's a few lot spots but otherwise you'll have to do street parking. The tacos were really good, the brussels sprouts and cauliflower appetizer, the crunch wrap supreme, and especially the burger. The drinks were really fresh and colorful and we had a lot of fun at this spot. I highly recommend the spot if you're just looking for tacos, margaritas, and a great ambience.

Yelp
Horrible customer service from employees Careful when you order food you're unable to send it back

Yelp
I LOVE CENTRO SO MUCH. Best tacos, best queso, BEST MARGS. All in all such a fun location. The northeast one has a giant parking lot near it which is awesome. The eatstreet location has plenty of street parking and is a huge location with plenty of seating. They also have other options in the eatstreet location. The northeast is much smaller and harder to get in but still great!

Yelp
Food is a 4, basic customer service was just not happening though... I'm writing this because I like this place - and think the feedback is valuable. The concept is good, service at Eat Street spot seems to lack leadership that NE has tho. Food quality is fine. If you're going to use an online order concept - make sure staff are still observing customer service best practices - greet people, be welcoming, solve problems for the customer... give a damn about their experience... goes a long way. Get a floor leader? Came in on a Tuesday evening. Have been to their NE spot several times without disappointment. 1. Staff seemed so unhappy - nobody greeted us, but did look at us without a word - saw bartender clear glasses from a table we were clearly wanting for but didn't wipe it clean... no big deal but don't think it's hard to be welcoming, cleanly, etc... he was mere feet away from us. You can say hello! ... especially when tips are asked for on the online order before you've even had anything - even a simple interaction... I've been a server and I expect to tip - but I don't feel like tipping before anyone's even done anything makes sense - a basic welcoming greeting instead of cold stares across the room goes a long way! Happy to tip, always, but come on... say hello and "welcome in" or something instead of the awakened stares 2. Online ordering issue - said it couldn't process my order, but moments later my bank emails me that I've had (I think) 5 transactions run - nobody comes to check on us, I have to flag someone down - they're confused and say it happens all the time and should be refunded - but ZERO follow up after that at all - didn't even ask what we ordered to see if they were out or something - very lackluster and annoying - had to call the next day as no refund processed It somehow happened several more times - so I had like $100 plus in charges for nothing - that I'm still waiting on to be refunded on two days later... know it can take time but this can be improved... Again had to flag someone down who was nice, but not trying to solve the problem or check in with us again to make sure all good If this happens "all the time" as two staff members now told me - let's get that system looked into + set a procedure for customer service around it? Just feels impersonal and like nobody gives a hoot when the onus is on the customer to figure everything out NE location this has never been an issue - and people there DO check in on you etc. 3. Music was awesome. Girlfriend actually Shazam'd a few tracks. Acoustics though - just simply too loud on the right side. We had to move. May think about speaker orientation and what the experience is in the dining room when you've got a PA speaker blaring above your head. Could be better Hopeful they figure stuff out and maybe differentiate the concept a bit from the NE location Otherwise, I think the overlap will mean I won't return to Eat Street and will stick to NE, where they seem to be conscious of customer service

Yelp
Pretty good food, atmosphere is cool but a bit on the pricey side for what it is. Also not stoked on the always awkward order your own food but they bring it out serving style. I asked for a glass of water and was told it was self service but they still expect a tip. All and all I'd go again but it's not mind blowing.

Yelp
This was a great stop for the family before a show at Children's Theater. A fave for the adults was the chicken enchilada with an amazing verde sauce. Kids cheese quesadilla was perfect for the kiddos. I also got a mezcal margarita that was really well-balanced and tasty.

Yelp
Stopped at the Northeast location in Quincy Street first for a mother-daughter night out. Nobody greeted us. Sat outside and there is a sign that says you have to order on your phone if you sit out there.. We did ask a passing server if we could get regular menus so we wouldn't have to pass a phone around and he did bring them. There is also a sign that says a 10% service fee will be added to the bill to help with waitstaff wages. Ordered beer and nachos, which were just ok. There was rap music playing with the words mutha-f*cka, n*ggas, b*tches, just to name a few. Seriously?? That's what we had to listen to? Good way to lose customers that don't care for that type of disgusting music. Will never go back.

Yelp
I'm glad to have another work lunch spot and Centro is super cute. I'm not a huge fan of the scan your menu ordering system even though it seems to be taking over many places...the food at Centro is very good, tacos and burgers are great but it would be nice if there were a few more lighter fare options, it's quite a calorie fest.

Yelp
Very cozy friendly atmosphere service was very good. The food is very good as well. I suggest everybody give it a try. Tell me what you think. I will be back to this place. I hope you guys will come and try it out.

Yelp
Overly complicated! The food's not bad, but the last 2 times we have been there it taken 20 minutes to scroll and order, taking away from any socializing you came out with your friends to enjoy. Don't bother to say anything to the help they will only direct you to another screen in house or tell you to clean up your screen. His words not mine. We understand how tough the last few years and have been and are reticent to complain but this was completely unacceptable service and the system really is a distraction from your evening of fun with your friends. Yelp
Nice space, very friendly server/cashier but food was just alright. I really enjoyed the guajillo chicken taco and Barbados was good but I really (!!) disliked the carnita adobo and queso. There was something off in both--not sure what. The queso almost was like queso mixed with hummus. Nope. Lastly $5-6/taco is ridiculous and no elote. Great addition to eat street but hoping they refine the menu.

Yelp
The tacos are all great and I want to go back to try even more flavors! Very chill vibes. Can be a bit loud but that's part of the social atmosphere
