For Spring Semester I met with my advisor to make sure I took the correct courses to graduate in the spring of 2024. I was made aware that I only needed two art courses left. I decided to use the rest of my GI Bill on a third course so I can be considered a full time student. I passed all my classes and was made eligible to walk on Graduation day. However, months later I received word I needed two more art electives on top of that and did not receive my Art Degree. I am disappointed because now I have to use another semester to finish, when I should’ve been done already. Now I have to postpone my plans for four months just to go back and finish.

It's a yes from me. Choose century college. You won't regret it. Be sure to always contact your academic advisors. You will face challenges if you ignore their input. Sit and discuss your challenges and goals with them. They were and still are very helpful to me.

My academic advisor deserved a 1/5, my professors deserved 5/5s. Some professors phoned it in, others were amazing. I received a high quality education for little to no cost and had a full time job as a software developer before I had even transferred to UMN Twin Cities. Always try to speak primarily with a transfer advisor at the institution you want to transfer to rather than an academic advisor at Century. They will often leave out information that could result in serious delays. Many of the transfer programs at Century only apply to Minnesota State schools and not University of Minnesota as they are part of different academic systems.

This is the best Community College in the State, maybe even the Universe. The students here are very inclusive and open minded and the staff is genuinely interested in making things easier and accommodating. The average price of a semester is the lowest I've ever seen, and the quality of education is very high. I recommend this College.

I love this college since the first day of class. I am so proud to be part of such an excellent institution. The teachers from the ESOL and TRIN program are the best , their support helped me to reach my goal. The staff , the nurse, the teachers are always willing to help the students and this is priceless.

Century is horrible. The instructor for kitchen and bathroom design accepted me late and wouldn't communicate with me via email to catch me up on anything. She told me it was my problem and I needed to navigate everything on me own and then took me out of the class with no explanation or warning. I went to Century to ask why I couldn't get into my online class and they informed me that I was no longer in said class and that I need to go talk to tech. Tech contacted the instructor and she just told them she kicked me out and that was it. I went back to the front office and all they said was for me to talk to the dean's assistant and then they sent me a bill to pay for the class that they didn't even allow me to take. I tried to dispute it and they told me I was too late for the window but they never passed any information of that nature onto me. To say the least, your money is better somewhere else. They'll put you in a class and kick you out just so they can take your money, and when it's too late, they'll send you a notice that it's going into collections and you can't dispute it.

Enroll here. I'm highly satisfied with my experience at Century College as a student. The post-secondary education community here has gone beyond my expectations to support my continued education as a transfer student. I'm thankful for the experienced instructors, who have given me a wealth of knowledge here. The support staff are excellent, including TLC, Writing Center, Math Center, Advising, Counseling, Information Technologists, and Librarians. They connect students with excellent resources outside of the classroom. The resources available here are comparable to any private institution, and cost per credit is the most affordable on the market.

This campus college is alright, it's mostly dead for the most part of it. There's no much fun there.

Yelp
I've taken a year and almost a half of attending online. I will say, there are a couple of classes that shouldn't be offered online as the curriculum is all messed up; as in it should be done in a class room, but that was mainly my physical geography class. Besides that, the history 1945 to present Professor Haker is one amazing professor and really works with you if you happen to get behind. He is easily to get ahold of and he's very professional and helpful when it comes to history. He also provides great constructive feedback. the four stars are for century as a whole. I would give 5 stars just For Professor Joe Haker. btw; still attending college here, I have about 3 more classes to take and I will have my Associates Degree.

Yelp
Admissions messed up my info and I almost missed two semesters from their incompetence. I talked to an advisor for over an hour before signing up for classes, and they were wrong about everything. The admissions mess up made it so I could only sign up for late start classes. The staff failed to adequately help at every turn, and they refused to refund my tuition after my accounts were all hacked and my passwords changed without my knowing. I was only 4 days into classes and they wouldn't help me. This place, I'm sure you could have guessed on your own, but if you didn't, talk to some real people that went there. It's a joke

Yelp
Century College Student Housing is really decent for new college students who want a footing in college life & independence. Includes a study lounge, WiFi, quiet hours, quick maintenance repairs, and good communication with management. If I had issues, they were resolved within 24hours. They do a good job of plowing during winters too. The only thing would be that the heating sometimes doesn't turn on during colder months but that's to be expected of an older building. I got my own space heater to resolve that issue. Roommates are nice and decent for the most part-just learn how to get along with strangers and you'll be fine.

Yelp
I paid CASH for my full tuition, but was unable to continue for qualifiable reasons and well within the withdrawal timeframe. Despite providing all of the necessary and requested documentation they denied the refund of my payment (not even a partial refund was provided) with no clearly articulated reason(s). Extremely unapologetic and unhelpful during the process.

Yelp
I have been to a couple of different post secondary educational institutions in my life and must say that Century College is by far the best one. The caliber of the instructors and the excellent classes they teach have always left me feeling the my educational dollars have been well spent. Century College is made up of both a East and West Campus. There is a really cool overhead bridge and elevated walking path to get from one side to the next. I did have the pleasure in having classes at the very opposite ends of the campus. It took me about 12 min to walk from one end to the other. Only Cons I can think of is the parking situation at the beginning of the semester but that gets better quickly as students thin out.

Yelp
I was sent here by my condo association to take a class on solar power, which was in the science bldg. Totally new and lots of glass and crazy carpet. I was there for like six hours. On the first break I asked some guy who was facilitating the class (not teaching it, but saying when the breaks were and handing out the course evaluation. not too sure what his job really was. whatever) about the password for the wifi, so I could twitter and check email and basically ignore my way through the parts about code and standards and electrical junctions and shit. You know what he said? "Are you a student here?" And I was like, dude, I am taking this class, doesn't that make me a student? At least for the six hours I am here? So he shrugged and gave me a visitor username and password that didn't work. Oh well. So instead of flitting away on twitter, I wrote a posting for my blog (plug plug, it is in my profile, should you be curious). Then over the lunch break I tried again, but at the library. Same. are you a student here? Jesus. I just want a wifi password. Nope. She did, however, take my drivers license and made a copy, sat me at a computer, signed me in and wrote down the serial number of the computer on the photocopy of my license and walked away. Should it really be that hard? Why not just get my SS number and a blood sample while you are at it? Nice bldg though, with some nice iron sculptures outside....

Yelp
Well, I will start off by saying that Century College has been a part of my life since I was very young. My mother attended Century when it was Lakewood Community College & I used to attend daycare there when I was young (Busy Bees) & I also joined my mother in Ken Mackelbergh's pottery class :) I have very fond memories of Lakewood Community College. When I graduated from high school, I chose Century (formerly Lakewood) to obtain my Associate of Arts degree. My experience @ Century was fantastic! My professors were great, the class sizes were small, & the counselors are oh, so helpful. The Century staff offers a great support system w/ transfer help, professional opinions, & student recommendations. My bf also attended Century as recommended by the engineering department @ the U of M & had a great experience w/ his first two years @ Century & eventually finished @ the U. I was so impressed w/ my experience @ Century, that I just recently decided to go back to obtain my Associate of Science in Nursing! I know that it will be a pleasant experience & I am looking forward to it. The new building on the east campus is beautiful & bright & the renovations in the west building provide a new modern look to the college. Bonus: the parking lot was just redone as well! :) Altogether, for the price & the experience, Century is completely worth it. Their slogan is completely true: Affordable, Accessible, Attainable.

Yelp
The accuplacer test that is given before you start is ridiculous. Granted I'm an older student but some of the other students I'm in class with took A.P. classes in High school and are still stuck taking these non-relevant classes and had good grades with them. Is it just a matter of creating jobs for people to get more funding for the school? I'm not sure. I just wish that there were less of the non-relevant classes before you actually were able to start on what a student was actually there to major in. Lets not kid ourselves this is a two year degree school not a university,

Yelp
I've attended Century as a student from 2012-2015 and was sad to go. The school is small, has a strong community, and is affordable; a great school for starting college students working on their generals most specifically. The class choices is pretty ranged for the small size of the school, and has many capable teachers who are able to help their students better as the class sizes are only around an average of 20 people per class. If there's ever a problem with figuring out anything related to the student's education, the Career Counseling center is EXTREMELY helpful in leading the student in the direction they're aiming for and helping them decide what their next step should be. The clubs are extremely well-run with fun events for the entire school occurring very often, creating a great sense of community. Because of this, I managed to meet lots of long-term friends and people who will help me build my career. Out of the 3 colleges I've attended, I definitely felt I was lucky to be able to get started at Century College as it lead me on my path towards a degree.
