"Ceraldi is an Outer Cape gem. Chef and owner Michael Ceraldi, who has worked in respected kitchens in Bologna and New York City, brought his talent to Wellfleet to serve locally sourced, elegant fare (with a strong Italian influence) in a rotating, seven-course menu that changes depending on what is in season. Ingredients are sourced close to home, including from the restaurant’s own garden. Pasta, seafood, and vegetable dishes are all delicious and meticulously prepared. Ceraldi offers an optional wine pairing and two seatings per night ($212 pp, an additional $70 pp for wine). Regardless of what is on the menu when you visit, count on a special and memorable meal." - Anna Darrow

Goodness gracious, what a phenomenal place to eat a fine dinner. Talk about farm/ocean to table dining done to perfection. I had the pleasure of dining here eight years ago and am happy to say that they have maintained their level of excellence. Every dish was simply amazing and we ordered the soft drink accompaniment and they were off the charts wonderful as well. The cost is fairly high, but well worth it for a unique and amazing experience.

This was my fourth trip to Ceraldi, and it continues to set a very high bar on the Outer Cape. Tonight’s menu was the first time I only had seafood. The standouts were the tomato soup with a dayboat scallop, the oysters (as always), and the honeynut squash risotto with Parmesan foam. The entire evening is still so well run and the walkthrough of the menu at the beginning of the night is so special. The beverage pairing is sometimes hit or miss for me, but it was a knockout last night! My one qualm is that 10 years ago, the menu was $77 and now it’s $212. It makes it hard to come more than once a season. I’d love to see it closer to $150-$175 personally, but I also know that sourcing locally doesn’t always come cheap. It’s still such a special place, and I can’t recommend it enough.

We have gone to Ceraldi multiple times, we usually just get iced coffee. Today we decided to try some baked goods and they were all very good. They had these huge egg squares on home made bread. Their croissants were also very good. My wife loved the cappuccino. You are expected to bring your own cup if you want to take out the coffee. They do sell mason jars you can take out with you, you can have coffee inside with their cups inside or outside on their patio. I would come here again the baked good were phenomenal although you could easily share any item with anyone person. The coffee is always outstanding.

Google
a very special experience to have the seven course dinner here. the storytelling behind it all; your menu that day, the restaurant, and the community, is so wonderful. Chef Michael and his team were lovely, and completely accommodating to the vegan and vegetarian in our party. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, and the experience on a whole, a lot of fun.

There were fewer good tastes left in the mouth than bad, which included banal dishes served with pretension and a sprinkle of mysticism at an overseasoned price tag. The charade began upon arrival, where we witnessed an employee waving a burning sage brush in the air to 'cleanse the energy' we were told before the arrival of the second seating of customers. The occult vibe was further enhanced by burning candles scattered everywhere and the skull of a steer as the centerpiece of the room. Even the hostess perpetuated the mystery with her evasive answers to questions on the menu. When we inquired what was on the 'Convivum' (a gratuitously arcane name, of course, for what was a trivial tasting menu), she bluntly refused to tell us. "You need to trust us." I tried to press her on it, but she declared the chef's wims to be beyond the realm of knowability and reiterated the refrain that we would just need "to trust us." And so we did, and regretted it. A three-tier platter came out with about ten little dishes for sharing. We had hoped each would be a prism into the inscrutable genius of the enigmatic chef, but the problem with the dishes is that they were too knowable, devoid of creativity or culinary craftsmanship, and at times mundane. A fresh peach with goat cheese. A bowl of melon. A bunch of oysters (which would have made me avoid the order altogether if they had disclosed it included shellfish). Bread roll sandwiches deficient of filling. Another plate of bread roll sandwiches deficient of filling (as if one wasn't enough). It felt like scraps of a kitchen that didn't have time to cook--which is probably the translation of 'Convivum'. That's not to say there weren't flashes of brilliance amidst the mediocrity--ie, locally foraged mushroom arancini with romesco, velvety corn soup with poached lobster. These seemed lifted off of the restaurant's premier "experience" (their word for the $$$ tasting menu): a 7-courses at $212 per person. In contrast, our 'Convivum' weighed in at $110 shared between two, which might seem like the bargain except for the fact that there was little to get excited by. A couple impressive small plates do not compensate for a tower of ordinary tastes. Maybe that's why they refused to disclose the contents of the dishes a priori. Or maybe they were just being pretentious. Either way, the evasiveness was tasteless like much of what was served.

While on a business trip in NYC a few weeks ago I ran into someone from the Cape. I told her I'd be vacationing there for 8 days and asked if she had any fine dining recommendations. I'm a foodie and food critic so keep in mind that while everyone may not agree with my reviews, I do have over 25 years of dining experience around the world, 20 of those in Europe where I reported on food and wine for several magazines and online news sources. OK with that said, I was stoked to go here and experience the "experience". How novel it would be to eat at such a remote location right on the harbor. How fresh would all the ingredients be from local farms and purveyors. Right on that count! It was all fresh and locally procured. However if you come from anywhere outside this area, naming all the little towns or farms when presented with each course (there were 7 and they were not paired correctly; portions were gigantic when they should have been 1/8 the size, but I'll get to that later) is meaningless unless in context. The sweet and entertaining servers should have been guided by the chef to present the dishes with a story behind each town to make it entertaining rather than ratt;ling off town names that again, had no meaning. Also, farm to table is a concept that Alice Waters introduced in the 1980s which then became nouvelle cuisine, traveling to France and back again. So the idea is not new. OK the first three courses were spot on. We began with oysters from Wellfleet topped with various tastes including mock (Black river) caviar (it should have been beluga), seabean and a hot sauce. The second course was a way too big salad of lettuce with an extracted beet sauce drizzled over the salad with feta cheese and toasted walnuts. The dish could have been shared amongst 4 adults. The third and best course of all 7 was a two-colored lobster tomato bisque (red and yellow) with fresh lobster meat drizzled with a spicy oil. The lobster was divine and young. Granted the chef did explain that the menu changes daily. That's a feat in and of itself. But did he mean everything on the menu changes daily or just one or two items? If it is everything then it seems rather inefficient. The cost of the meal is pre-set at $200 per person, not including wine or mocktail pairings. In this small restaurant the dishwasher was dead center in back of the prep table which is located in front of the U shaped bar where we sat. We should NEVER see servers cleaning dishes, taking out or putting into a dishwasher if this is supposed to be a refined dining experience. That piece of metal belongs in the kitchen! Course 4 was a crab dish with squash blossom and ricotta which was rather bland. Then came course #5 which was a way too saturated generous piece of halibut (and not cooked to perfection) with a heavy sauce of vidalia soubise, totally unnecessary for such a rich fish alongside with a nest of red, white onion shreds and radish I believe. It was okay, The chef made me another piece which was hot upon plating and crispy on the outside! Terrific. The last course before dessert of ravioli bolognese with a foamed parmagiano should have been epic. Instead it was overcooked around the way too gigantic ravioli edges and so tough as to not be able to cut. The taste was divine but unfortunately these portions were humongeous defeating the idea of "next level dining" and paired incorrectly. The bottom heavy last three courses would have served as main dishes in and of themselves but not as a 7 course tasting menu. I made the reservation a month in advance prior to my Cape vacation and alerted the kitchen I can eat no salt or sugar. But what was I served for dessert? A panna cotta with peaches and rum, dowsed of course in sugary ingredients. I think he has tremendous talent and a bright future. This could have been an off night for sure. I think with tighter management, smaller courses, and a better explanation to out of state visitors why each local purveyor is special will make all the difference! Good luck.

Google
An exceptional and unique dining experience. I’ve been numerous times and every time has been amazing. The thought into the menu, the balance of the courses, the pairings of beverages, the atmosphere and the staff. Most of all the food is delicious! I can’t wait to go back. It is pricey but worth it and given the cost of so much mediocre meals out, a bargain.

We always come back to Ceraldis when in town because it's the best restaurant on the Cape. Michael and his team's attention to detail and sourcing of high quality ingredients make every meal amazing! The menu changes daily based on what's available but it's always good. They also have a reserve wine pairing if you want to make the meal a real treat.

Yelp
Having read uniformly exceptional reviews, we decided that Ceraldi would be a rare splurge to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. The restaurant itself is casual and welcoming while also quietly elegant. Chef Ceraldi introduced himself and his staff before describing our unique dining experience in great detail. There was a realization that we would be expected to take our time to savor each bite in each of seven courses, and that's exactly what happened. We learned that each 7-course tasting menu began with Lucky Lip Oysters from Wellfleet, consisting of 3 oysters with wildly different presentations and flavors. This established a theme for the evening, featuring a blue fin tuna tartare, a corn and lobster soup, a "gnudi," a risotto and mushroom stuffed honeynut squash, smoked swordfish, and an exquisite dessert of chocolate mousse with brownie crumbs, vanilla bean whip and salted caramel. Each course was thoughtfully paired with an exceptional wine, with the meal and the wine described in enthusiastic detail by the friendly, attentive staff. My brief summary of the individual courses hardly hints at the craft and nuance of flavor that made each bite a celebrated event. The tasting menu is expensive, and for us, it meant an hour-long drive each way, but it made for an unforgettable memory I will be savoring with for days and weeks to come.

Yelp
I'm going to average out my stars from the two visits that I've had, which should be easy because both of those visits deserve five stars. The first time around I enjoyed one of their seven-course dinners. This is what we ate: First Course: Oysters with different garnishing on seagrass Second Course: A salad with beets Third Course: Lobster Soup Fourth Course: Zucchini noodles with tempura Fifth Course: Corn with flan and a white fish Sixth Course: A vegetarian dish with a cream sauce Seventh Course: Tart with lemon sauce The best thing about this restaurant is that they don't have a set menu and they cook with whatever is fresh and in season. Everything is locally sourced and organic. The restaurant is beautiful and they plate the food right in front of you. The chef is an artist and the food is their canvas. I hope that I'll get the opportunity to attend another seven-course meal in the future. Each course came with a different type of tea. They were all delicious and it was honestly hard to choose my favorite one. On the second visit, I came for breakfast. My family ordered pastries. My parents ordered a sweet pastry and they also ordered a pizza-like flatbread. I only tried the flatbread and it was amazing. That was the best flatbread I ever had. It was cheesy, and doughy, and the sauce was delicious. I didn't have any of the sweet pastry, but it smelled delicious.

Yelp
A great dining experience! Menu changes daily, depending on what is available. You cannot get fresher! The servers are attentive and very friendly. The set up is perfect with a large table to be able to watch the chef dress the dishes. This is the third time we have built a vacation around dining at Ceraldi!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Dinner is expensive for cape cod, but honestly not outrageous considering how some of the seafood shacks are for fish and chips. The overall concept of Ceraldi is very cool as they take all their ingredients from locally sourced or owned agriculture producers. Chef gave a speech -- a bit too long -- about all the producers and food sources. Food was delicious and chef was very accommodating of allergies/restrictions and even packed up the last few courses of my meal since I was too full. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion before sunset

Yelp
This is a review of Coffee Cafe, 8-1. Coffee cafe is amazing. I forgot that Chef Michael offered a breakfast/coffee experience. Set in the amazing surroundings of Ceraldi, grab a sublime pastry, delicious cappuccino and sit outside or inside, soaking up the vibe. The pastries are the best on Cape Cod and the coffee is pretty good. Loved my morning, the start of my summer vacay, perfect.

Yelp
Went here last night as visitors to Cape Cod. Knowing it has a lovely location in a touristy area, I thought maybe the food might be solid but not outstanding. Boy was I wrong! Easily one of the top three best meals I've had in my life. The flavors...the craftsmanship...just amazing every course. And it really helps that the chef explains it all to you before the meal, so you really appreciate the ingredients and their connection to the Cape Cod area. Our favorites were the lasagnette, the corn soup, and the caprese salad. But it was very hard to pick a favorite. Service was excellent was well, although might not be to everyone's tastes ... some might like the quirkiness. Others might find it unpolished for the price. We did the wine paring which was nice but the food is the star I think. Can't wait to save up to come back!

Sam H.

Yelp
A great experience. The food was inventive and delicious, and the service and ambience were great. We particularly liked how vegetable-forward the meal was. When we ate the oyster with a dollop of caviar on it at the start of the meal, we knew it was going to be a good night, and it was. Great dishes included the salad with pistachio dressing, gazpacho with chunks of lobster in it, the amazing orecchiette pasta with little pieces of wild boar, and the seared tuna. Expensive but easily worth it.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Way too big portions for 7 courses at too high a price. Service was amazing, chef fabulous, food wonderful but for $600 for 2 people with wine pairing is too much. We were both so full we couldn't move and our wallets were empty.

Michael R.

Yelp
We've been dining at Ceraldi for years, typically visiting to celebrate our anniversary. We were unable to get a table the past few years due to the pandemic, but were happy to be back this year. As others have said, this is more than just a dinner, but an experience. Quite pricey yes, but the cost now covers a wine/beverage pairing. This is a 7 course dining experience with hyper local ingredients. We enjoy sitting at chef table, and watching Chef Michael and his staff create our dinner. We especially enjoy the details about where the ingredients are sourced. Service is polished and there is great attention to detail. All of this happens in a somewhat rustic, casual setting right on Mayo Beach in Wellfleet. Plenty of parking without a concern. The menu changes daily, but seems to always begin with Wellfleet oysters followed by a huge salad. From there, you just never know what will be served that evening. You can let the restaurant know about any dining restrictions and I believe they will work with you to ensure a great dining experience. There are two seatings on the nights they serve, 5:30 and 8:30. We have always booked the first seating and found the pace to be just about right. If you are looking for a very special dinner with delicious and beautiful plates, this is your ticket.

Yelp
this place is entirely without equal. i have been lucky enough to eat here twice before with my family and earlier this year my mum told me she booked a reservation for august and i have been looking forward to it all summer... once again not only did it not disappoint, it blew me the fuck away. my family is super foody and i have worked in restaurants as a bartender for the last three years and this is the type of food/experience/restaurant that makes me want to drop everything and dedicate my whole life to restaurants and cooking. this place is beyond exceptional. the vibe, the music (khruangbin - brilliant lol), the fantastic service, the stunning views of the wellfleet sunset outside, the descriptions of the food from chef michael and the staff, the perfect interior, the table cloth you can draw on, just everything about this place rocks so hard i just love it the food was beyond jaw dropping. the corn soup was so bloody clever and flavorful. the halibut with the saffron soubise was enchanting. the aranchini was homey and delicious. it's all just so good. and god those oysters... my first ever oyster on the half shell was here a few years ago and it is something i regularly think about to this day, once again, tonight, it blew me away. there is nothing else like them. chef michael is genuinely inspiring, the man could lead a cult. his food makes me want to work for him. as i was leaving earlier i said to him that the oyster with hot sauce was amazing (it was so wildly savory and appropriately acidic and just yummy) and he went back inside and brought me a bottle of the farmer friends hot sauce to give to me, so generous, i will be putting this on everything for a while. very kind of him it meant a lot. this place is the best and most memorable restaurant i've ever been to by far. i love it. thank you so much ceraldi.

Yelp
Although I thought our meal was WAY overpriced, I would still give Ceraldi 5 stars. Our meal was very pleasant and served at just the right pace. We had excellent service and every course was more delicious than the last. For how much we paid (around $500 for two of us for 7 courses) I would've preferred at least one more protein dish. We each started with 3 Wellfleet oysters and the 6th course was a seared swordfish...kind of a bland fish that takes on the flavors that it's cooked in. The theme of the wine pairings was Rose, which I happen to like, but my husband NEVER orders. It would've been nice if they'd offered an alternative. Overall, the service was extraordinary, with the owner and chef explaining how the meal would play out and where the ingredients were sourced from....mostly all local. He stopped by each table at the end and greeted everyone enthusiastically.

Robert L.

Yelp
One of the finest places to eat on Cape Cod and a well kept secret. Outstanding atmosphere, personalized treatment by the staff, and scrumptious food from local sources.

Rodney A.

Yelp
Top notch! One of the most brilliant and creative chefs and one of the best meals of my life. ! It's worth every penny!

Bryan C.

Yelp
One of many times wish could give half stars as would give 4.5. When do this many courses likely to have some issues. Place itself is casual yet sophisticated in that coastal sort of way. There is a chefs table plus some tables around. Kitchen itself look like could fit no more than 3 people. They always start with local oysters which they were good enough to cook for those that did not like raw and replace for those allergic to shellfish. Menu in very plant forward. Of the various courses I had two quibbles. The toast for my soup was burnt. The soup itself tasted amazing. Most of the ones I saw looked fine. The risotto was tasty as loved the mushroom though the rice itself was crunchy. I could go through every other course but liked them though odd for place like this serving were almost too large so was getting stuffed before got to 5th course. The drink pairings worked well. I think they were shocked we wanted another bottle as wanted alcohol during the soft drink pairings and also replace white with red one party does not like to drink. After couple choices on wine list were out they found a perfect wine for us. I would return though would come more hungry.

William H.

Yelp
Fantastic way to explore and experience Cape Cod from a culinary perspective. You get to experience, taste and learn the best of local farms. The service is incredibly attentive. While it was a struggle to get a reservation, the hostess accommodated my request to remove the prices from the menu, allowing for a worry-free date experience. Throughout the evening, the waiters and chefs continue to be attentive and cater to one's needs to have a truly amazing evening. The price is certainly steep, but for the experience, quality of service and taste of food it is perfectly worth it.

Nina H.

Yelp
I love the food, the service, the ambiance. yes I lOVE EVERYTHING about this place. It's a special dining experience that I've looked forward to ever since they opened. But I won't be going back. It's no longer worth the exorbitant price they charge. I don't mind paying for quality but I wont be taken advantage of either. Very disappointed.

Mark K.

Yelp
Amazing food! Compliments to the chef! The restaurant has a great vibe. Would recommend to others. Dishes were sparkly clean. For what you get, a great price. A must go to restaurant if you are on Cape Cod!

Christopher G.

Yelp
This place is a hell of an experience. Multi-course tasting menu, on the beach, what more could you want? I really loved being able to watch the staff work to put the dishes together and the service was awesome and informative. This is really a spot anyone who spends time on Cape Cod should try at least once!

Mike H.

Yelp
7 course fix-price meal was pricey, however the food was excellent. All courses were locally grown and masterfully prepared. Service was outstanding. Wine pairings, while lost on me, seemed appropriate and tasty. This was an anniversary dinner and we had received a gift card from our boys which took some of the sting out. Great location, friendly atmosphere (a bit loud at times) and great staff made it a memorable night. If you are undeterred by the price ($190pp) I highly recommend you give them a try, the food was outstanding!

Christine E.

Yelp
Beautiful farm to table menu however it was so hot in the restaurant the experience was not enjoyable.

Roger G.

Yelp
Believe the hype! It's pricey, sure, but you get what you pay for. Beautiful hyper-local ingredients, awesome recipes, lovely presentation, amazing setting. Far fancier than your typical Wellfleet meal (yet not stuffy or pretentious). An amazing splurge opportunity that's worth taking advantage of, if you can get a reservation!

Corey L.

Yelp
Many thanks to the compassionate and gracious Michael Ceraldi. One of our party became ill during dinner after two courses on Saturday evening (not food related!) and the staff and chef could not have been kinder or more accommodating, even comped our meals when we left between salad and soup. Six stars, if I could!

Susan W.

Yelp
A bit of hype and terribly overpriced. There are many restaurants between Orleans and Provincetown that serve excellent food at a fraction of the price. Yes, the food was good, not great. Service was friendly but too many different servers--we never knew which of the 5 servers was going to be serving us at any time. The non-Alcohol infusions were two star at best and the wine pairings were uninteresting. "A" for effort but "B" for delivery.

Stacey R.

Yelp
I just came across a menu from Ceraldi while spring cleaning and was transported back to our wonderful night there! ~FOUR stars for dinner service. It was excellent, but I would've expected portion sizes to have been a bit bigger for the price we paid. Waiters/waitresses were knowledgeable and pleasant all while ensuring that all guests were taken care of. Dinner here is a remarkable culinary experience that shoots you out of Wellfleet and deep into a floral-filled, candlelit ambience...with Chef Ceraldi as the night's captain! Our seven courses were...oysters ["uno"], missicanza ["due"], malfatti ["tre"], arancini ["quattro"], ravioli ["cinque"], scallop ["sei"], peach/blueberry upside-down cake ["sette"]. Scrumptious. So, so scrumptious. (I just wish I had more of everything!) The wine/bev pairings were spot on. You are also offered a wine menu (to purchase more), but I was fairly drunk by the end of dinner. Thankfully, my husband was fine to drive. (I would just stick to the pairings that Ceraldi has come up with instead of ordering more.) ~TWO AND A HALF stars for morning café. 5 (out of 5) for 2021, 0-1 (out of 5) for 2022. 2022 didn't exactly match the quality of dinner service. I had been to the café the summer before last (2021, their first year with café...if I'm not mistaken, after the Chef had given it a "shoutout" during our dinner) and even with covid uncertainty/pandemic drama/supply chain issues + shortages/etc., I had a far better experience than I did last year (2022). I would've given FIVE stars for the café had 2022 matched 2021. In 2021, there were scones, doughnuts, sticky buns...with unique flavors that would change day-to-day. Baristas who were on top of it. To-go cups and Wi-Fi access. I loved all of this, and I know others did too! It became such an enjoyable part of my morning routine! It really felt like a "soft" version of Ceraldi's vision in the early morning, if that makes any sense. Very welcoming and casual-yet-extraordinary. Fast forward to the café of 2022 and the sticky buns were $7 each (I believe)...unfortunately, they were not worth it. No other pastries (which I couldn't believe). No Wi-Fi and no to-go cups. Menu options became greatly reduced, with noticeably increased prices. One of the baristas simply left (albeit while there was a line) because he needed to "take a walk" or something of the sort. I remember this because of how particularly odd it was, especially when recalling the decorum and service of past waiters/baristas/etc I'd seen there before. The remaining barista did not seem to know how to operate the register. There were also still tablecloths/crumbs on tables from what I presume to be the prior night's dinner service. (Ick.) I never had such an experience in 2021. What happened??? The "vibe" (as my kids say) was "off" and left us longing for the café of 2021. I would've loved to have left 4 stars, but I have to weigh the café into the equation as it is, after all, part of the establishment. I guess my biggest critiques come down to portion size at dinner and the loss of what was truly a great morning café. (It is ridiculously hard to find a consistently good coffee shop on the Outer Cape, unless you're fine heading to Provincetown daily.) Chef Ceraldi, if you can reinvigorate this summer's café with what you had going in 2021, I'll revise my review. Deal? See you all in the coming months!

Ezra B.

Yelp
What a place, what an experience, what a meal. Came here with my mom who was raving about it. It is a unique concept: everyone gets the same meal at the same time (roughly). It was 7 courses, including a desert and each course was phenomenal. They also do a pairings list so for $33 you get a different wine with each course that is supposed to go well with that particular dish. Really great for wine lovers. All of the dishes were unique and quite tasty. They change the menu every night so I won't describe each dish in detail. Service was very good--very helpful and friendly. All in all I HIGHLY recommend this place for a family outing, an interesting date, or a fun dinner with friends!

Yelp
What a treat to have this place on the cape. We have had many great meals living in NYC, this place is up there.

Ryan R.

Yelp
Went here with my parents and a friend after hearing so many great things about this place. I was lucky enough to have my friend make a reservation a couple of months in advance so we were able to enjoy the later seating on a Thursday night in August. First off, this place is in a spectacular setting--right on the water and has gorgeous views of the bay, especially at sunset. It was also really nice to sort of gather outside with the rest of the diners as we were waiting for the first seating to finish as we got to meet quite a few people from all different parts of the country. As far as the meal goes--this is definitely a one-of-a-kind dining experience, especially for the cape. There aren't many places where the chef comes out and explains the full concept of the menu that night and then lets you know which local farm each ingredient used comes from. In addition, our table did a wine pairing with each course and they had someone come around and explain the flavor profiles and the ideas behind their pairing. I have to say--and my friend who had been here before attested to this--but I don't think on our particular night, that it was one of their stronger nights. That being said, all of the food was very creative and fresh and well-cooked, but on a couple of the dishes, not all the flavors came together as you would have hoped. Nevertheless, we all had such a fantastic time. Overall, this place is a must try on the cape as it truly is such a unique experience. It is also a great opportunity to really enjoy a meal and your company as the dinner lasts nearly 3 hours. My one major gripe with this place is that it was very hot out and inside the restaurant it was stifling--like we were dripping sweat and had to blow out our candle because we couldn't handle that little bit of extra heat stifling. They tried to accommodate us by opening the door, but it kept getting closed and wasn't really helping. Despite that, we really enjoyed our meal and the experience of eating at Ceraldi and would definitely recommend it to anyone that can afford the splurge on a nice dinner.

Lynel T.

Yelp
Ceraldi is a dining experience that won't disappoint. Locally sourced and excellently prepared courses with wine pairings. Definitely worth the price point especially for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary.

Lisa C.

Yelp
We enjoyed our experience here five years ago and we were fortunate to get in from the waitlist last Saturday afternoon for dinner that night. The food was amazing and the service was fabulous. We ate outside facing the bay - something like a sunset picnic experience. Eating off of paper plates and the handheld aspect of the meal detracted from the experience and I feel limited the creativity in food preparation andvoresentatiobut we understand the limitations of Covid. I've posted pictures of our food - the price includes one bottle of wine, two Yeti mugs and two Ceraldi long sleeve tees. My favorite courses were the lobster roll and the naan bread with kalamata spread.

Yelp
The best fine dining on the Cape IMHO, and a great value at that. Excellent wine flights are a necessary addition. The normal one is great, but its worth bumping up to the reserve. Chef Michael's sourcing is incredibly rigorous, and his preparations represent the highest form of thoughtful craftsmanship.

Yelp
We did the sunset lounge dinner last night and it was amazing! Food and wine was excellent

Yelp
Outstanding service, food and company! And by Company I mean the staff! Dinner is a production and the menu, which changes daily, is explained in detail. Chef Ceraldi only uses local ingredients and chooses only the best! It was lovely to learn about some awesome cape cod farms from an excellent food lover who has done the leg work! Makes eating local on vacation so much easier and joyful! Now on to the food, everything was delicious! Delicious! The food was light yet flavorful! Well presented, well made. We had $88 vintage wine pairing-more than well worth it by the way! Just enough food and wine! Scrumptious but we also left loving ourselves and our bodies! I can't recommend this place highly enough! Chef Ceraldi should start a blog or something to share/promote the excellent local farms he buys product from! The menu changes daily depending on what's fresh available! How wonderful is that?

Yelp
Not just an unforgettable dining experience but also a delightful show. I really enjoyed my dinner here, and it's one of the top meals I've had during my travels this year. It's been a few months since I ate here, and I still remember how fresh, flavorful, and innovative every dish was. We had the 7-course meal which highlighted locally sourced ingredients, including some delicious seafood. The wine pairings were spot on, and the wine choices themselves stood out such that we had to write down some of the names so that we could get some more later in the store. Would be worth it to come to the Cape just for Ceraldi.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. Such an appreciation for life through food and wine. At first I was hoping for some bread but after the 3rd course I couldn't believe I had two more to go. Everything was exquisite and the chef is beautiful inside and out. I love the life he has been able to create for himself, curating every ingredient and presenting to his guests like the work of art that it is. That is what I loved most about my experience. He made me want to be a better person. And only eat oysters from that one bay in Wellfleet from now on!!!!

Yelp
I had to ask for substitutions being gluten free and shell fish allergy and they where very gracious and accompanied me happily. Staff was excellent and owner/chef was very hands on. A wonderful experience I would highly recommend.

Yelp
This was our first visit to Ceraldi. We were In second seating 8:30 PM group. We were promptly seated at a table for 4. We had the seven course dinner with the $ 33 wine parring , they also offer premium $88 parring. Service was very prompt and the food quality was wonderful. The wait staff work in teams, the guy we had was sloppy dressed & his delivery was lack luster, the two gals were very professional & nicely dressed. The reason I gave only three stars ??? The noise level was deafening, we could not hear most of the table side explanation of each wine & food courses from the wait staff. At one point I was going to ask staff to open the windows. Not sure if I would return to spend $ 130 per person with ear splitting noise. Michael Ptown

Yelp
If you are looking for a fantastic culinary odyssey- you need to make a reservation at Ceraldi in Wellfleet MA! Chef Michael Ceraldi and Team pay attention to all the details to ensure your dining experience is one that you will want to experience again and again. The 7 course meal is thoughtfully prepared and paired beautifully with delicious wines and house made tonics. Chef Ceraldi explains every course, where it was locally sourced and how it was prepared. Then your adventure begins! The entire staff is warm, knowledgeable and it is clear everyone at Ceraldi loves what they do! Thank you for making my 60th birthday celebration last night so amazing! Can't wait to dine with you again very soon! Sue Hutchings

Yelp
This place is not only some of the best food on the cape- they are also SO GOOD with allergies! Thank you so much for making me feel so comfortable and safe. What a wonderful gem on the outer Cape.

Yelp
Not bad! Overall, it was worth the price. $77 fixed price for 7 courses, including dessert. The meal wasn't everything I had expected. Having read the other reviews, I was expecting to be blown away, so all the little imperfections caught my eye. We had clams in a pasta dish but they weren't fully cleaned and were gritty. The butternut squash soup was nice, but I really didn't get the concept of adding cocoa nibs. The soup was light in flavor and then as soon as you got the flavor of the cocoa nibs it was sharp, tangy bitter chocolate. Some of the other dishes didn't really mesh with their ingredients. I would definitely be back, though. That's because I don't think the point of the meal is for it to be 3-star Michelin perfection. I know the other reviews said this meal is perfection, but I'd advise about having your expectations so high that they can't be met. The restaurant is wonderful inside. The lights are low and the meals come out slow, so you really learn to appreciate each dish and the time in between preparation. And the real highlight of the meal is how local it is, and how proud Ceraldi is of its location and what it serves. That's the real point of coming to Ceraldi. If you can keep that in mind, and keep your high expectations from reading other reviews in check, I think you will love this place. Oh, but one thing - Ceraldi, please get new bar seats. I saw that some of them looked comfortable, with a nice back and cushioning, but the black stools on our end were terrible. No padding whatsoever. Both we and the couple next to us were complaining about them, and had to stand up from time to time to take a break from sitting in them. Like sitting in really old barbershop chairs. If you're making reservations for the bar, maybe ask that you get the "nice" chairs.

Yelp
After seeing the segment on Chronicle, a Massachusetts entertainment show, I thought...we need to go! We we not disappointed, the dinner was more like theater and the courses were the talented stars! Each course was perfectly sized so that we could enjoy all of this farm to table cuisine's many courses and not feel over fed. The staff made us feel like we were dining in their kitchen with bar-side plating and descriptions of every dish. We cant wait to try the menu the next time as it changes daily and is 100% locally sourced and seasonal. Just wonderful!

Yelp
Dirty napkin ... No apology One of our party was allergic to crustaceans ... Was served dish with lobster .... No apology Scented candle ... Hard to smell food, that's F&B 101 Overall, food quality, prep, presentation and taste, excellent. Execution, not quite there. Five star for Wellfleet, I guess.

Yelp
If I could give more stars, I would. Ceraldi is, hands down, my favorite restaurant - anywhere. We've been there several times over the last three years and have been delighted each time. We've brought friends who left as enthusiastic as we. This trip was our first time for the second seating. We were left standing as some diners from the early seating were reluctant to leave. And while I inwardly cursed them, mentally shaking a fist of outrage, I also couldn't blame them. We were consoled by having our welcome glass of prosecco brought out to us. And as soon as we were in, the good humor, charm and attentiveness of the staff made that all go away. Any remnants of ill feelings ebbed with the oyster with pickled sea beans and fingerling lime, and gone with the celery (!) soup with lobster oil and sea bass. The food and the service are wonderful. The staff is constantly on the go - watching them is like watching fine choreography - yet always, ALWAYS, make us feel completely attended to and are happy to answer questions. It feels very personal. In how many places does Chef interrupt his detailed explanation of what we'll be having to stop and marvel at the rising moon! In looking at some (*cough* nitpicking* cough*) reviews, I see some folks complained that dinner takes too long. To them I say, 'It took a long time to paint the Sistine Chapel. You can't hurry art. Plus, aren't you on vacation? I'm sorry there isn't a MacDonalds on this part of the Cape.' And other words of mockery and derision. And there may be some (probably no one I would respect or call a friend) who may not connect with a particular dish. But the care, inventiveness and creativity of each dish is undeniable. And the wine pairings, including the house pairings, are thoughtful. With many I've had the experience where you take a sip and it's good but then with the dish it's a symphony. So, yeah. I'm a fan. We plan to make another quick trip to the Cape this season just so we can have one more dinner. You might want to do the same!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing!! My husband and I came for our anniversary and after a week on the Cape have been dying for a dinner that was worth the money! Well, Ceraldi did it! Super personable staff who knows their shit about wine and food. The head chef and owner came around and personally wished us a happy anniversary which was also a nice touch. The food was hands down some of the best.. the menu changes every night but I hope that the Fennel Soup makes an appearance on the menu again because I would buy quarts to take home if I could. The only downside is that we don't live closer.. although that's probably a good thing because I would definitely be a regular. 5+ stars no question!

Yelp
I was treated to a 7 course meal in Wellfleet's Ceraldi. All locally sourced, I was excited about the food, seeing that the chef was literally picking stuff from the garden across the restaurant before service. Ceraldi offers a 7-course meal with 2 seatings each night at 530 and 8pm for $70. It's more for wine pairing. Expected about 2-2.5 hrs of your life. I would recommend the 530 seating if you want to photograph your food. Food review: great tasting food! You can really tell how fresh everything was. All are locally sourced from within the Cape. As a visitor, I appreciated knowing about the local farms and also knowing where some of the ingredients came from. For example, the scallop was caught by a day boat called the Donna Marie in Provincetown. I actually took a photo of that boat, so it was nice to know. The downside: the food is so good, you wished they provided more, and it wasn't a faux pas to lick your plate. Out of the 7 courses, most were on point. Some were a miss, but that's just because of my preference for some of the ingredients. Overall, the flavor profiles were great. Service: it was decent. I was expecting it to be more on point. They changed the utensils after every course and on more than one occasion, my place settings were forgotten, and I had to ask for utensils. I also had to ask for a water refill a few times. Not that big of a deal, but with this caliber of a restaurant, that's something that I expect. Too bad the attention to detail was off since it was enough to lessen the experience just a little bit. Also, there was a bit of a lag between courses. I've had multi-course meals at Bryan Volataggio's Volt, L'Espalier in Boston and also the Inn at Little Washington, and they were quicker with the service in between courses. On the plus side, if you seat at the bar, you'll see the chef prepare the majority of the courses in front of your eyes, so the wait time was forgivable. Overall, Ceraldi was worth a trip. I appreciate that everything was local. Too bad they couldn't give you more food because it was so amazing. The service could use some improvement, but given the relaxed atmosphere of the Cape, you shouldn't expect to get the same level as if you were in NY or DC.

Yelp
I started this review shortly after eating here in 2015, and never managed to post it, so perhaps things were different, but based on the reviews, I don't see it. I love the whole, I show up and you just put food and wine in front of me thing. And I've seen it work really well in Nantucket @ Company of the Caldron (before they were bought out) and Boston @ Le Espalier, so the bar for this type of dining is high. The food is good, but the dining experience overall is weak. And the portions are really hors devours on plates that could easily be passed by a server. And if that was what they did, I think I would love it! But instead, I sat through several hours a room that was too warm, with wine that was also too warm, waiting for food that was slow to arrive and too small. The customer next to me and I had a lengthy discussion about running to Mac's for a lobster roll to get dinner over with so we could enjoy the cocktail party. Other low points, a lengthy sales show on some granite serving platter, really, in the middle of my meal? A champagne welcoming that wasn't offered to us when we arrived, but was offered to others leading us to proactively seek out what was no doubt included in the cost. After drinking 4 carafes of water during the first 3 courses, they just stopped bringing us water, which would have been fine if we weren't also getting thimble sized glasses of warm wine. boo hoo. We found this place so annoying that we short-hand bad dining experiences by how close to this place they were since this place hit all the low points for a restaurant.

Yelp
Great ..expensive but worth the special experience for a foodie. Great service. Wonderful food all farm to table ingredients explained before all courses. Special occasion lace for sure. You leave there stuffed and happy!

Yelp
Absolutely excellent. I went in with no expectations (read: credit to my wife, who found this place and made the reservations). In the end, this was one of the best culinary experiences I have had in the past decade. The restaurant itself is relatively simple with a relaxed and somewhat casual atmosphere. The entire dining experience and menu are thoughtfully planned out and curated with an almost entirely farm-to-table approach - the 7 course menu is fixed and the wine pairing options are highly recommended. We had a party of four for the earlier seating. Everyone loved the overall experience: food, wine, staff, vibe, etc. It's tough to pull off an authentic, highly curated farm-to-table experience where so much time and attention is spent explaining all of the ingredients and how they're sourced without seeming pretentious. Ceraldi pulled it off and I'm looking forward to going back!!

Yelp
What a wonderful meal and house wine pairing dinner tonight. What really made it special was the staff and their comments on the wine and how the pairings worked with the unique, local ingredients. If you're interested in experiencing something totally local Cape Cod and learning something about wine pairings and evening at Ceraldi will not disappoint. They are only open a few more weeks so get your reservation.

Yelp
Stopped in for a Coffee and ended up with a great flat white and donut holes. Staff was superb, flat white was perfect, and donut holes were delicious. I will definitely be back!
