New San Francisco and Bay Area Restaurants and Bars: Ethel’s Fancy, Birdbox | Eater SF

"Laterica Reddix-Espinoza opened Cerealism on the Old Sacramento Waterfront as an all-day breakfast spot that serves over-the-top cereal bowls — for example, the Captain Caveman layers three kinds of chocolate and caramel atop Captain Crunch, Reese’s Puffs, Rice Krispies, and Honey Nut Cheerios — and operates varied hours through the week." - Lauren Saria

I'm usually here for the SSBU Tournaments that are hosted here but if I'm in the area I'll make a stop to grab a nice sweet treat for myself. I love the vibe of this place and how colorful the place is decorated, perfect for fun pictures. The workers are so friendly and I even got to meet the owner once, she very sweet and generous just like her cafe! Definitely a great place to check out if you love to get yourself a sweet treat once in awhile. Here's some pictures of the tasty drinks I've order this year.

I am so happy we were able to make it to this fantastic wonderland of cereals! There were tons of great spots for pictures and alcoves for enjoying our indulgent delights everywhere. We loved getting our sugared cereal fix in such an amazing atmosphere! The bathrooms were especially funny and went along with the theme. The service was fast and they explained everything. I was frankly, overwhelmed when we first went in. But the variety we tried: milkshake, cereal sushi, coffee based cereal indulgence with icecream on top! We even got the mermaid juice that just kept delivering the more we drank! Each layer of cotton candy has a different flavor?! 🤯 As we are just visiting, we will have to go home and feel sorry for ourselves not having such a fun little jewel like Cerealism that we found, nestled in Old Sacramento. Seriously, this is a date night, girls night, kids treat, after church, messy brunch, after sports reward kind of place. Massive kudos for coming up with this idea! We will make sure to tell everyone stopping off in the area that this place is an experience that can’t be missed!

Google
In terms of food, it’s what you would expect! Nothing out of this world, but something kids would enjoy! We brought our kids and they had a good time. Decor wise, they had so many great ideas! But the ambiance does feel a bit dingy, with fluorescent lighting and walls that should have been refinished before painting. Perhaps it’s all of the pastel paint choices making it feel a bit cheap. Great place for something to surprise your kids but not a place I’d be excited to go back to!

Google
Cute ice cream, cooke and cereal bar . Lots of options , we got the coco pebbled, chocolate ice cream shake stuffed with Dino bites, cookies, chocolate wafers, cupcakes and more! The decorations are adorable, they even have fake messy spoons stuck on the tables! Very convincing!! Very instagram worthy place, cute for couples date night !

Jennifer V.

Google
It's a nice place to take the kids, but definitely try to get there before 11am. The cereal bowls were displayed beautifully and tasted great as well. --I mean, you can't go wrong with cereal. I was more fascinated by their drinks though. I got the mermaid one and it tasted like Dutch Bros energy drinks, which I do like. Sister got the Sand Bucket and it was a lot... definitely for sharing. Kiddo got a hot chocolate, which tasted like any other cup of hot chocolate, nothing too special about it, but still good.

Google
I had not heard of Cerealism prior to going there so I had no expectations. If you don’t know it’s there you might miss it. The inside is fun and whimsical. The cereal was good. I didn’t give it 5 stars because even though we got there when it opened, the bowl I wanted was out. Additionally, the staff didn’t move with a purpose. It could be that it was early or because they were all fairly young, but they just weren’t in any hurry to fill the orders. It was a good experience, but I would only go back if I really wanted to have a specialty bowl of cereal.

Google
Such a cute place! My family and I went for my son's birthday. He loves cereal, so when we heard about this place, we wanted to check it out. There are different themed rooms, all very cute. They staff were very helpful and went over their menu choices with all 6 of us. lol I can't remember their names, but the young ladies were so sweet and gave my son a birthday treat! Thank you again, looking forward to our next visit!

Google
Cute little place for photo but I think you already expect how the food will taste like here. However we waited 30 minutes for a regular bowl for cereal which I didn’t expect that long of the wait when there’s not much people in front of us. Restroom was really clean but the wait time just way too long. Alright customer service but won’t recommend this location for food maybe if you looking for a photo station

Yelp
Lot of food coloring but very creative. Nice wand lovely interior. Cereal and chocolate makes a great shake but very fattening. Ocean water spritz, drinks with toffee and candies, pleasant to look but guilty to drink

Yelp
This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's adorable and definitely instagram-worthy once you trek downstairs. We stopped by for some sweet treats this past weekend, and appreciated the clean and inviting setting, with various sections adorned with cereal-related decor and quotes, including a game room. My bf got the butter beer which had a strong butterscotch flavor that he enjoyed. I opted for the cocoa pebbles milkshake, which didn't seem to have the right proportions of chocolate flavor and ingredients. It was topped off with a full sized chocolate cupcake, a mini brownie, and a whole ice cream sandwich, as well as an overload of whipped cream, I scooped it off the top and the pile was more than half the size of the cup. The real disappointment was simply the chocolate flavor of the milkshake itself which was pretty weak, even when mixed with bits of grinded cocoa pebbles. Superficially it was over the top with an abundance of sweetness, too much if you ask me, but it was lacking in what matters most, the taste of the dessert beverage. It wasn't terrible, still drinkable, but it wasn't good value based on quality and cost IMO. Service was standard and sufficient. The rap music playing in the background was not very pleasant or fitting for the environment. And the women's restroom had three stalls total, two with "out of order" signs, and the other had no paper products (toilet paper, toilet seat covers... nothing) on a Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
Super aesthetic shop ! I'm not sure if it's handicapped friendly, because you have to go downstairs to get in. I got the cloud something lol (menu online) cute drink but couldn't even drink half it was very sweet, but if you like sweets is good. We also created our own bowl of ice cream it was ok I'm going to assume they only had vanilla ice cream because they didn't asked what kind we wanted; it was ok too. The shop itself is very very cute, the customer service was not impressive.

Yelp
This place is super fun! The decor is any kids dream and maybe mine too lol All of the rooms are great! My son loved that he could choose the cereal and all of the toppings. The customer service was top notch. The music was fun and inviting. Definitely worth a try!

Yelp
Such a cute spot in a great location in old Sacramento! There are plenty areas for photo ops and multiple areas where you could easily have a party! I came with 2 kids and we each got a different drink. The flavor of the drinks are just average but it's more about how they dress it up and present it. The service was average. Worth a visit

Yelp
Located in Old Town Sacramento is a place I did not expect to find... CEREALISM A place where Comedian #JerrySeinfeld should visit with his Family (Especially since he did do a Wonderful movie called UNFROSTED and this movie is about " Cereal "). You name the cereal they have it! However, this is not like eating your typical breakfast cereal at home this place is definitely FAMILY FRIENDLY and yes your parents, grandparents would definitely enjoy the good old fashion taste of cereal They even have milk substitutes/non dairy option. Plus add a fruity drink to make this a yummiliscious breakfast Take a look at the photos

Yelp
What fun ways to enjoy cereal! & so many different ways too! I actually eat cereal as a dessert after dinner so this was a cool place to visit for me. I was worried the cereal was going to be stale for some reason, but none of our cereal treats were. I would love to come back here & try some of their other stuff. Service was a bit slow, but I didn't mind too much. Was just happy to sit down & rest my feet from walking around Old Sac Town. It's really cute inside too with lots of photo ops for those who like that kind of stuff.

Yelp
Whoa! My first impression was "WHOA" as I walked inside of this place. I felt like I was in cereal heaven. The waitress was funny and friendly. The interior was beautiful. Each room had its own theme ( as you will See in the pictures) . Their desserts are cereal themed . The milkshakes and specialty drinks are a must. This place has a different vibe. It's not like your everyday normal cafe. For all my selfie lovers, there are so many spots in this cafe that you can take selfies. I'll be definitely going back for more of their speciality drinks.

Yelp
Love this dessert spot! Family friendly, areas for photo ops, and the nostalgia of the various cereals. Staff was friendly, helpful, and service was quick.

Yelp
THIS IS THE COOLEST PLACE TO STOP FOR SOMETHING SWEET!!! Took my kids here (ages 5, 7 & 11) and they all absolutely loved it! From the unique and colorful designs and decor to the fun rooms with games, it was the perfect family spot! You walk down a set of stairs to get to the basement level restaurant and I don't know if there is any other way to get down there but once you do the counter to order your treats is right up front and the staff are friendly. The stuff we ordered took a little while to prepare but there is so many things to keep you entertained while you wait like a game room, and they give you a buzzer to go off when your order is ready. Here is the food as rated by my family: Funnel Cake Fries ($10): comes with caramel and chocolate, dipping sauce, and regular rice crispies, and chocolate rice crispies (5/5 stars) as rated by myself, my 5 year old son & my husband Cookie Monster Milkshake ($15): Oreo, milkshake with whipped cream and cookies and cookie cereal on top (5/5 stars) as rated by myself & my 7/11 year old daughters In The Clouds Farp ($10): Cotton Candy blended drink with whipped cream & sprinkles (5/5 stars) as rated by my 7 year old daughter & (4/5 stars) as rated by my 11 year old daughter (too sweet for my taste) We can't wait to go back and try everything in the menu! This cereal loving family will soon become regulars & maybe even have a birthday party there!

Yelp
The cutest, funnest, enjoyable, selfie location. I have way more pictures to post than what yelp will allow me to. So I only posted the food and drinks with some of the instagram-able selfie walls. This place has so much to do with so much space!! There were games and a game station where you can rent out and play games. So many fun colorful places to sit and enjoy hanging out with the company you bring. I heard service was slow, in a way I didn't notice because I was enjoying taking pictures while we waited. They didn't acknowledge us though when we came in so something they must work on. It looked like there were only 2 people working so I can understand why people have said the service was slow. I just didn't understand why there wasn't a lot of business for this fun place. We came on a Friday early afternoon so I'm hoping that's why. The price of most items seemed reasonable. The drinks and snacks were good. We really enjoyed our visit. Parking is street parking with parking garages close by along with so many other things to do in the area. Their location wasn't hard for me to find but might be for others. I did notice a lot of people checking out their menu outside which is posted by the wall of their entrance. To get in though, you would walk down some stairs to the colorful joint. It had a cereal portrait walk way down that's pretty amazing. As we left and again seeing people checking the place out I told them it's a fun place to check out and definitely get some picture worthy pics. Based on cereal I'd say it's more of a desert and snack place with a fun vibe to chill with friends. Wasn't loud but could be depending on traffic since I noticed they close at midnight over the weekends. Bathroom was really cute but needs a little clean up. It wasn't messy but it did have an awful smell that needs a little tender care, otherwise I was able to take selfies with the wall by the sink. They may not have been open for long but I do hope they stay open and probably add more to the menu of savory so it can drive in more business. Dessert are a must here and I definitely wanted to try a lot more sweets but we can't just eat dessert desserts hahaha I for sure would say to save this place as your dessert location so don't get sweets at the place you eat lunch or dinner save it for this place!

Yelp
Stopped by Cerealism a few months ago and loved it! Such a cute little spot. When we arrived, there were a few groups of people in there, but it was not busy. My husband ordered the Captain Caveman and I got the pre-made fruity blend with lucky charms marshmallows on top with Horchata as my milk. I will say, the horchata wasn't as good as I was hoping, but the cereal was delicious. My husband loved his Caveman. We will be back!

Yelp
Food/drinks : delicious , yes yu order cereal but there are other things yu can order like pancake / chicken skewer for example. Service: so great I forgot the young lady name i do remember it was a three letter name and she worked as a cashier. She was sweet and knowable of products. Ambiance : just had to be there but my pics can show a little Parking : busy if you aren't parking in the paid garage Bathroom door hilarious ..... for men it has a picture of a banana hanging and women's there's a peach ( those who get it get it) I forgot to take a pic GO VISIT

Yelp
What a fun and exciting place to enjoy a treat! We were greeted by a friendly girl at the register and ordered a shake. We played jenga and walked around while we waited. The decor is cute, bright and welcoming. Our Reese's Puffs Milkshake was good, however we would have liked more of a peanut butter flavor in the shake itself. Overall super fun. Prices are to be expected for a trendy place like this. Sixteen bucks for a loaded milkshake but we shared it between the 4 of us.

Yelp
Feel like a kid again at Cerealism. We loved the decor - framed prints of cereal boxes and rooms decorated based on cereals, like the Lucky Charms room. The concept is really cool. On the menu, they have bowls of cereal and crazy milkshakes! They even have flavored milks - like strawberry or horchata milk, and not just dairy milk but milk alternatives! We both opted for their specialty bowls - Strawberry shortcake for me, and I probably would have been happy with a cheaper build your own bowl, but this was easier to choose. I still thoroughly enjoyed it. CONS - no A/C. Just a bunch of fans on. It was actually hottest when we first got down there (underground) but i guess I got used to the temp bc it felt more normal by the end of our visit. - they do not use gloves or wash their hands prior to prepping the food, between handling the cash register, taking orders. Um... GROSS! This would have been a 4 star review otherwise.

Thomas C.

Yelp
I finally got around to giving Cerealism another shot and it was definitely better this time around. They changed their menu quite a bit from the first time. I found the old menu more intriguing, but I understand the need to evolve and find the balance between customer wants and business needs. We ended up trying a couple of their shakes and drinks. The drinks were tasty and nicely decorated. The shakes were too liquidy for my liking though. The lighting was better this time around. Some of the tables had little games on them. The downside was that it was unbearably hot in there. I was dripping sweat. Overall, it's a cool place to check out when in Old Sac if you're down there. I hope they continue to thrive.

Yelp
What a fun concept! Combine various cereals with a variety of flavors and watch your tastebuds explode. We tried ours with strawberries, bananas and biscoff crumble. You can also choose a variety of milks (oat, soy, whole, 2%, etc) We also had a strawberry lemonade which came with 3 types of candies. And just the right amount of sweetness and tartness to be refreahing and delicious. We watched others order huge milkshakes we want to try later. Most of all, the store was bright with fun colors. It looks like there was a seperate party room too. I went with 2 college students and a teen and they loved it. So that says something. Can't wait to try milkshakes another time.

Yelp
This was our second time coming to Cerealism. The first time we thought it was a cute place for those wanting a photo op or a cute background to their food pictures. The drinks my daughters got the first time were good so we decided to visit again and our experience unfortunately was not the same. This place is located downstairs in what seems like a basement. The day we went it seem really humid and musty down there, but it was whatever. My daughters ordered an ocean water and a peach ring, but then my youngest quickly corrected herself and said she wanted a shark attack instead of a peach ring. The young girl taking our order even repeated back "ok a shark attack, not a peach ring?" to which my daughter replied yes. When we got their order they were handed an ocean water and a peach ring. My older daughter (who is 14) asked, which drink was which to which the young lady stated "ocean water and peach ring". My daughter informed her that we ordered a shark attack not a peach ring and the worker just stood there staring at my daughter. Didn't offer to correct it or even an apology for the mix up at the least! I asked my youngest, are you ok with the peach ring or do you want the shark attack? My daughter is so non confrontational she just took the drink that was given to her. That was the first issue. The second issue was the drinks were not the same as the ones they got the first time nor did they resemble the photos on the menu. They didn't have the cute candies on skewers sticking out of the drink, just some generic twizzlers shoved in the opening. The drinks themselves even looked different, and the peach ring tasted like it was missing something. It was a disappointment to say the least.

Yelp
This is a cute place! I brought my son and he really enjoyed it. The cereal combo I got was really good and the inside was decorated and had some games. You have to go downstairs to get inside so be prepared.

Yelp
Came here for the 1st time drinks were delicious just keep in mind it takes time to make such a detailed pretty drink.

Yelp
We were in Old Sac and finally got to eat at cerealism. We walked down the stairs and felt transported into a colorful world. The bright pastel colors and adorable wall decorations are wall to wall. Even the bathroom was colorfully decorated and painted. Everything was so fun that you have to take a ton of pictures. There were several options for their desserts. Obviously there were the cereals, but they also had milkshakes, coffee drinks, and other desserts. We got one of the crazy milkshakes and it was enough to share with our family of four. We also saw there were different board games and a giant jenga. We couldn't stay long but we can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I accidentally stumbled upon this place whilst walking around old sac and I'm glad I did! This place makes really good shakes. Reminds me a bit of Soda Jerk in Scottsdale, AZ. I asked for Oreos instead of cocoa puffs in the cocoa puff shake and he did it no questions asked! It came with a cupcake, chocolate wafer and an ice cream sandwich on top!! My fiance got the peanut butter shake. So so good. They are pretty pricey for the milkshakes so make sure you're prepared for that. I also wish they had slightly more options for milkshakes or like creamsicle floats perhaps? but still this place is a very unique concept. The artwork is amazing! Even the bathroom has cool art. My favorite area is the Nintendo switch room! You can rent out the switch and pay $8 a person per hour. Super cool if you're looking for something like that with friends! Will definitely come again when I'm craving a good hefty shake! :)

Yelp
Cute cute place for serial lovers and dessert! Enjoyed all the cute photo op areas ... service was nice they greeted us upon entry and explained the menu. Only thing is that it's down at the basement area so it's very warm down there wish they had AC.
google avatar

Amber V.

Yelp
Such a fun little spot with lots of photo ops! They have a decent sized menu of cereals and drinks and even offer various milks from plain to oat to horchata! Anytime we are downtown my kids want to come here for our after dinner treat and no complaints here about their decision. Saturdays can be a little hectic and busy but it looks like they added more staff so it's gotten better. My husband loves their strawberry shortcake cereal bowl (and it comes with a cut mini milk jug) kids love the cereal pizzas and I'm a fan of their drinks. We each get something a little different each time so it makes sharing even better. Definitely a fun spot to hit up with the kids or even for a date night.

Yelp
We We went in on a busy weekend, and man, was it worth the wait. My son got the Cookie Monster, and I got some crazy looking drink thingy, and yes, worth the wait. We were having so much fun laughing and taking pictures in this crazy basment entertainment area. You have to see it for yourself! Now, the bad part is that my son left his hoodie, the last one Grandma brought him before she passed. We live hours a way, and guess what the amazing staff mailed to him. Thank you all so much. I can't wait to visit again.
google avatar

Giselle S.

Yelp
Super cute spot in Old Sacramento, ample seating and a variety of menu items to choose from. Our treats were tasty and the staff was friendly! Their menu was vague and didn't offer any description on the drink items. The ordering process seemed simple but was a bit confusing our order was started but then we were left waiting to get our bowl of cereal completed as employees walked past us and our half finished bowl a few times before asking us if we needed help. The space was clean but for it having recently open it was a bit run-down, some of the displays on the wall had been ripped off or damaged. I feel this spot has tons of potential it just needs a little more fine tuning, we'll definitely return when in the area.

Yelp
My husband and I came to Cerealism on a Saturday night for date night. We had just finished up dinner and wanted something sweet. We made our way to Old Sac and down into the basement where Cerealism is located. The interior is fun and bright and definitely geared towards those individuals who enjoy taking photographs of their food with the perfect backdrop. We each decided to try one of their circus shakes which were essentially over-the-top milkshakes with lots of toppings. The shake itself was quite lackluster in terms of flavor, despite being $15. I ordered the Reese's puffs shake while my husband ordered the Cocoa puffs shake. My shake was quite bland and tasted neither of peanut butter nor chocolate, both of which it was advertised to be. All in all, this is the type of spot that appears to be best suited for children, or for people who want to take fun photos of food, but don't actually care about the quality or taste. Having experienced it once, I don't really feel the need to go back.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
Very instagram worthy photo op place, and they have refreshing drinks if you don't want any cereal. Street parking only, so it's most convenient if you're already walking nearby. The employees were so nice and gave good recommendations. One of the creations we got was a sour apple & blue raspberry lemonade drink which was delicious and so pretty. The service bar is small, but inside has a lot of open seating and cool decorations. They even have OG cereal boxes to maintain the nostalgia.

Yelp
Cerealism is a fun addition to Old Sac. It's no surprise that the vibe reminds me of my Saturday mornings watching cartoons with a bowl of cereal in front of me! I love the decor: themed rooms including a tropical one where it looks like there is a milk "waterfall", oversized cereal box fronts on the wall, a game room with individual TV/game screens. Lots of space, tables, and chairs. On the menu, you can build your own cereal bowl: you can choose up to 3 cereals, toppings, and milk (9 selections!). Or, you can choose one of the 5 speciality bowls. They also have a cereal pizza, desserts, coffee, cocoa, and other drinks. I really dig the concept and would visit again the next time I'm in Old Sac.
google avatar

Eliza V.

Yelp
Food is pretty standard, it's a cool concept to be able to pick 3 different cereal combos into one bowl along with some toppings and milk. We came here as a small snack, and it hit the spot. The service was good and the ambiance seemed very cute and trendy. There's a ton of opportunities to take photos throughout the shop. The entrance threw me off cause you have to go down into what looks like a pink basement...when you go, you'll see what I mean. I'm on the fence on whether I'd come back here again. Again I like the cool concept, I think it could be a fun hangout for teens. One thing I didn't like was you weren't able to pour your own "milk" (dairy or nondairy). I at least would like to have full control of how much I put in there...sometimes the only way to know is when you pour it yourself.

Yelp
What a cute spot, and great for a photo op! It right at old town sac, a great location to spend time walking around. It wasn't busy when I came, so fast service and really nice servers. They have a variety of cereals to choose from, but I stayed with getting a drink. It reminded me of a plainer dutch bros, but the candy was a nice touch. There were several areas in the place that were closed off, so pretty limited to where we sat and wasn't as clean as I would hope.

Yelp
We were very excited to come here and try this new twist on cereal. It was ok. Staff was very friendly but they all seemed a bit lost. Our order came out like 5 minutes apart even though they were both coffees. Menu can be a little more descriptive we saw a lot of things that we had no idea what they had. I got the cinnamon toast affogato it was delicious but small and felt like a little overpriced. Hubby got the lucky charm latte it was good but nothing really special about that drink not sure if we would get it again. Decoration inside is very unique for sure. The mario room had a lot of tvs but they were all off and there were chairs but no tables. We want to give it another chance next time we are in the area since it is relatively a new place.

Yelp
Such a fun, new addition to the Old Sac/Downtown area! The venue boasts BEAUTIFUL murals from various artists in separate rooms/spaces, a lot of seating, a diverse menu of items, a game room, board games and many photo ops. We ordered on a Thursday morning because we weren't able to visit the night before, and it was an excellent time to make it without a line and to find close parking in the area. We sat in a room to ourselves playing board games until we got our orders. I got the new Sweetheart Bowl they had for the month of February with had hints of chocolate, cinnamon and strawberry. The bowls are very filling, I had a hard time finishing with all the add-in's they included. They also offered a variety of milks you could use for your bowl including horchata, strawberry and normal milk (dairy and 2%). Overall, a delicious bowl of cereal turned dessert and a fun environment made for a wonderful trip. I love that you could walk it off and explore the surrounding area as well. It definitely fits nicely with the other businesses there. Really convenient that it's also steps away from DOCO. Looking forward to trying more menu items in the near future!

Yelp
This is an underground paradise that is surreal. It's so bright and colorful, with an amazing high energy and creativity, like something out of a dream. Total cereal paradise. The cereal bowls were wonderful and tasty like a blast of nostalgia that perfectly captures your childhood memories and allows you a chance to revisit those memories. The lemon bar with the fruity pebble cereal sprinkled on top was to die for, it enhances the citrus of the dessert with an extra crunchy pop. So awesome! The cannoli with the captain crunch was a great hit as well! There was also many drinks with cereal toppings too! I decided to get the banana matcha drink and the oat milk banana paired perfectly with the tang of the matcha, excellent combination. It was ready so fast and the service was friendly and welcoming! It was exciting to be surrounded by Cerealism employees who really felt happy and enthusiastic! Great vibes around!

Yelp
Cute little place for a photo opportunity. Didn' order anything as I just ate and super full. But there some cool historical cereal boxes, etc. Not sure if they do it here, but would be great for a kids party. Will come back and try a smoothie.

Yelp
I adore cereal, so I was super excited to come and try out this place. We came on a Friday late morning, so it wasn't busy. It's a super cute shop - kinda kitschy but very photogenic. The two of us split a Captain Caveman with almond milk, and it was delicious. The toppings were fresh, and it was truly dessert in a bowl. However, I think this place is missing a huge opportunity to offer more things that will keep people coming back, like handmade cereal bars (the combinations and possibilities are endless!), cookies with cereal ingredients (again limitless possibilities!), and even full boxes of both common and hard-to-find cereals. I was disappointed not to find any of these things here. I'm hoping that changes in the near future.

Yelp
I seen this place had just opened. My sister came to town with her son and we decided to take our kids here to have some cereal and check out the new cereal bar ! You walk in and there is some stairs with some cereals box frames on the wall. There is also a cute wall decorated to take a photo super cute! This place is decorated fantastic. There's a lot of space every single space in this building is decorated. There is also lots of seating areas for you to enjoy your cereal. They also have games for kids. There is a also a room full of TVs. For the menu they have options were you could pick three cereals, two toppings and then they have their specialty bowls , desserts, coffees for the adults , and multiple drinks. They also have a pretty good variety of milk to choose from for the cereal! They gave us a buzzer to let us know when our order was ready we just went to the counter and pick it up. So I gave this place a four-star just because we drove 40 minutes away to be here and we all had to use the restroom and it was just an inconvenience that both of their bathrooms were out of service that day .so, we had to walk across the street to use the restroom at another establishment. I know it's not a big deal but once you have three kids running around and you have to keep going back-and-forth to an another establishment to use the restroom, it could be a bummer.! Other than that I would say some great place to check out. They have so many areas where you could take awesome photos. Their decorations are super cute. I would definitely check it out.!!

Yelp
This is a super cool concept, cozy and Instagrammable location! We had a blast! Unlike most Instagram friendly spots this one wasn't boring and actually had substance to add to its aesthetic. With cool cereal options and creations, it's very creative. We got the rainbow cereal creation and asked for milk on the side. They combined three cereals that have rainbow themes (Cap'n Crunch, trix, and Rice Krispies). Even their spoon was perfect cereal eat spoon. We enjoyed playing the large UNO cards, Jenga, and connect four. There are multiple backdrops to take cute pictures in front of. There's different rooms and cozy areas to play games and eat so you feel like you have your own space. My favorites were the Mario themed room and a fruit loops themed room!

Yelp
Cereal enthusiasts get excited because Cerealism is a really cool place for all cereal lovers! Don't be like me though I walked around for 10 minutes trying to find this place even passing by here maybe 5 times lol. It's right across the street from Round Table Pizza. Awesome decor inside! Loved the Mario themed room. I saw a bunch of TVs set up. It would be dope to come here eat some cereal and play a tournament of various video games. Host a Smash Bros tournament and I'm in! There were also other areas that were cool to look at. All of them were great for Instagram. Staff were super nice. Great to see another person who also liked Frosted Flakes as their favorite cereal. As a first-timer, they explained how custom bowls worked. I was able to pick 5 of my favorite cereals and 2 toppings. Be sure to say if you want your bowl to-go or not. If you order to-go they put your choice of milk in a small bottle. Now I saw other stuff on their menu that caught my interest, a cereal pizza? That sounds amazing! Overall, cool hangout place. If you are doing a holiday party or get together I recommend checking this place out. If you forgot to eat breakfast or want a yummy snack definitely come here!

Yelp
Cutest this place! A restaurant dedicated to cereal? Sign me up! I've been waiting to check out this place since the moment I found about them and Cerealism did not disappoint! It is located in the heart of Old Sacramento and once you enter, you descend down a flight of stairs into a colorful playground of...Cereal. This place has so much charm and character - it makes you feel instantly happy. They have lots of seating and different areas to hang out in like the Lucky Charms room. They have board games, Skeeball and I believe I even saw a small playground structure. They have lots of drink options and signature cereal flavors like the Cookie Monster which included Oreos and Cookie Crisps - all drowned in blue milk. I also ordered the Lucky Charms Latte. You can build your own cereal and add whatever toppings and milk you'd like - I saw a kid at the table next to me who added mini M&M's to his! Overall, I'm living for the decor and a place where I can eat cereal at any time of the day. It's a fun place and you should definitely show this Woman owned business some love!

Yelp
Such a fun experience! If you're a fan of cereal you need to stop by and make your own ultimate bowl! They have so many cereals to choose from and plenty of toppings to go with it! There are several drink options as well. Off to the side they have some fun play options for kids and the staff was really nice and welcoming! It did take some time to get our order though and there are not a ton of seating options inside. I do look forward to stopping by again the next time I'm in town though!

Yelp
Gotta love a place that takes advantage of their space and all of the Instagram photo opportunities! I've been seeing Cerealism all over my feed for the last week and they're definitely getting tons of free coverage! We came by this morning to check it out and thankfully it wasn't crowded since it was 9:30 on a Tuesday. But that also meant they were still opening up and taking down chairs, and it was dead silent with no music until the end of our visit haha. They have a pretty large space and there is no shortage of seating, colorful decor, and fun cereal themed props! My husband and I both picked specialty bowls - the Cookie Monster and Strawberry Shortcake. They are good looking bowls! I also liked that they asked you if you want more milk before you go. I thought I didn't want any but did realize I would've liked more as I kept eating it, so next time I would ask for more to begin with. I had mine with strawberry oat milk which was delicious but honestly it probably would've tasted the same because the cereal I had with the strawberries would've likely made it turn strawberry flavored anyway. The specialty bowls are $8.50 each which does seem outlandish for cereal when a box is probably $4 at the store, but the appeal is that you get different kinds of cereal and even some bonus things, like the biscoff cookie and madeleine in my bowl! I don't think I would return for the bowls but I will definitely be back for their cereal themed desserts and the drinks. We had our hands full with our two kids today so I didn't want to bother balancing drinks, so I will definitely be coming back another time to try more things off the menu and take advantage of the colorful backdrops all around the shop!

Yelp
Made my way to Cerealism! As I entered the wonderful world of cereal goodness, I could help but feel like a kid again. It was literally a short walk from my room at the Kimpton Sawer. It's concept is creative and unique. It's ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner for sure. Whether you're alone or with family or friends, you're sure to find something you'll enjoy. The establishment alone is a must see. Their food and drink offerings are just another frinhe benefit for your effort in making the visit. In my opinion it's worth the time and expect to stay awhile to enjoy all that it has to offer. It lives up to the hype. Easy to get in and out of with parking literally outside. Perfect layout. Several play areas with throwback Wheaties Boxes! What a collection! With a super clean dining and a friendly staff and owner. Make sure to give this place a try. You can thank me later. Thank you Ms. S for the recommendation! Since I'm from San Diego, I ordered the Where in the World Is Carmen San Diego with a horchata... Mind blown. I normally only enjoy horchata with Mexican Food lol.

Yelp
Such a great time! The aesthetic was to die for, the staff was super helpful and made great suggestions! Also she was cleaning when we first got in, which caught my attention as so often younger employees are sitting on their phones every chance they get and literally ignore you. Laura however, had a very cheery disposition and was clearly happy to maintain the location. It's cool that she cares about the experience for the customers. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Came across this new establishment as I was walking around old town enjoying the holiday lights. If you walk by too fast you may miss the narrow entrance that leads you to a wonderful and awesome cereal world downstairs! This shop appears to be family owned as I was greeted and welcomed as soon as we walked in. They have all kinds of cereals and various options on how to enjoy the selections. Have a custom bowl made to go or enjoy your favorites on top of a slice of cake with a 'shot' of milk! A wonderful concept with excellent service!

Yelp
Ordered here for the first time, was drawn to the colorful and quirky decor. They had a wide variety of snacks, cereals and drinks to choose from. Staff was helpful. I liked how unique my drink was, however I wasnt impressed by the matcha quality. It was still a very interesting experience, and in a good location too, right at old sac!

Yelp
The cereal felt overpriced, drinks felt over sweetened. Cool place for photos. Food; 0/3 Stars, love the concept but can't get behind the pricing and the recipes. Ambience 1/1 Stars, love the photo picture opportunities and the cereal inspired sets. Service; 1/1 Stars, the workers were helpful and did their best to accommodate me and my group but they couldn't save the overtly sweet drinks and high prices.

Yelp
It's super cutesy but we waited forever and never ordered. We were there for 20 minutes and there was only one family in front of us. They took hella long so we got frustrated and left. Really bummed because we were looking forward to trying. It's super cute but service sucked.
