Google
Ceritas had some stiff competition on this trip with Oshaughnessy, Myriad and Rivers Marie being my other stops but ceritas both the wine and the experience held its own. Ceritas is a small boutique winery specializing in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with a very special Peter Martin Ray Cabernet that is a completely different though wonderful beast. Mitchell lived up to the reviews a great host entertaining and informative and the wines are some of my favorites. The wines are among the most Burgundian of the California offerings. Healdsburg is a great place to eat and we went to Armstrong redwood forest on the same day which is a not to be missed experience.

Great spot in the Healdsburg area to try some amazing wines right where they make it. Mitchell was a great host and let us try a wide range of wines while explaining all the thought and care that went into each wine. Absolutely delicious Chardonnays and Pinot noirs, highly recommend.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone outside my circle of friends, as it’s truly part of my selfish bucket list. I love visiting every year, chatting with Mitchell, and enjoying the best Pinot Noir and Cabernet in the world.

Arguably the best producer in Sonoma over the last 5 years.

Yelp
If you are looking for great Chardonnay & Pinot look no further! Simply one of the best in the area. A small production winery, so make sure to sign up for their mailing list! Tastings are private and by reservation only, and still can be hard to get into! However, we just attended one of their Summer release events. For the first time we tried their Cabernet and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

Yelp
My husband and I have made our rounds of the popular, big wineries so now are seeking out small production, family-owned, more exclusive ones. Well, Ceritas is IT. Tastings are private and very intimate, yet relaxed and unpretentious. You need to call ahead to make an appointment, and week days are preferred. The tasting room is set in an industrial building just off the Healdsburg square (60 W North St, Healdsburg, CA) with private lot parking, which is very useful as even the big public lots nearby fill up fast). We planned far out for a weekend tasting, and brought a couple friends for a personal seated tasting with Jenn, who told us about the history of the winery, how they make their wines, what grapes they use (all are off of vines that are at least 40 years old), and a lot of other fun and interesting facts. I encourage you to read up on the full history on their website: https://www.ceritaswines.com We started with four wines: two Chardonnays and two Pinot Noirs (they also make a Cab, but no others). All outstanding. We loved tasting them side by side to detect all the different nuisances. After that, she asked us what our favorite wines are, and with that she brought out more for us to taste. Tastings are $50 each, but considering the generous portions, number you get to try, and even permission to revisit the favorites, it's well worth it. She waived our tasting fees because we ended up buying several bottles, and signed up for the membership (which is an allocation system of 12 bottles per year/one of each release). In a nutshell (or should I say grape seed?): the wines are made simply, the old fashioned way with the best of the best grapes. If you want some wine you can't find anywhere else that will wow company... or complement a gourmet feast... or sooth you after a long day... CERITAS for the win.
