Cerrone’s Brick Oven Pizzeria is a must-visit for any pizza lover. Tucked away in a modest strip mall in Columbus, GA, this unassuming spot is home to the 2025 World Champions at the International Pizza Expo—and they’ve earned that title. When you walk in, you’re greeted by the delicious aroma of pizza baking in the open brick oven, which you can see right from the ordering counter. It’s a walk-up style operation with about 7 tables for dine-in, so seating is limited—but totally worth the wait. Come early, especially on a Friday night—we were told the wait can be 90 to 110 minutes for pizza during peak hours. We ordered the 16” NY Style Cheese, and it was perfection. The cheese was hot, gooey, and melted beautifully over a crisp, golden crust. The tomato sauce was rich and tangy, and the mozzarella had that high-quality, creamy flavor you only get with fresh ingredients. We also tried an 11” Meat Lovers and a gluten-free version of the same—both loaded with hearty toppings including generous bacon. The only downside? We dined in, and one side of our table sat against the wall, where the constant flow of people in line rubbed past us. But honestly, the food was so good, we barely noticed. This place is doing world champion-level pizza in a small-town setting. Don’t miss it!

If I could do a 4.5 I would, the traditional pizza and calzones are amazing. Their marinara is my favorite in town. I have been going to cerrones since they first opened when I was in highschool but about 7 years ago I had to become gluten free. While their gluten free pizza is on par with your pies gluten free, it does not compare at all to cerrones own traditonal pizzas. The difference is very noticeable. I now make my own pizza dough from scratch so I can get a soft fluffy traditonal dough and crust that's gluten free instead of the thin crust seen at most restaurants that offer gluten free. So it is possible, that's the only critique I have. Though I get that most places do not want to invest the time and money needed for a non pre made gluten free dough or frozen gluten free pizza. So if you're looking for a traditional local pizza place this is the best one in town personally but for the price and crust your pies gluten free($14.98 before tax) is as good as cerrones (19.99 before tax)

Even being busy on a Saturday night! Reasonable wait time, staff was super friendly. The pizza was the star of the show. Phenomenal!

If you’re reading this, keep reading. This is the absolute best pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life. The vodka pizza is beautifully constructed and I felt like Remi from Ratatouille when I took a bite. The mushrooms melt in your mouth like butter. My husband ordered the traditional meat lovers that was heavenly. The garlic knots are the now the standard for every garlic knot out there. This pizza brought me to tears it was so divine. Service? They genuinely loved their job and took pride in serving the world’s best pizza. Atmosphere? We walked into a red and green slice of Italy. To owner, if you’re reading this, never stop making pizza. This pizza was inspirational.

Cerrones has always had the best pizza whether it be dine-in or delivery. Seating can be sparse so be prepared to either do carry-out, delivery or arrive early. I showed up promptly upon opening and in 15 minutes the restaurant was full. I only had one poor customer service experience but it was a busy night and the poor guy looked like had been having a bad day. Even then, at the worst I had experienced, it wasn't something to be upset about. If you like pizza this is the place to get it in Columbus.

The pizza is so delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful, and I love the laid-back atmosphere. If people are looking for authentic New York style pizza, I'd look no further than Cerrone's.

Through all my travels, I have to say this is in my top 5 favorites in the USA. There is not a bad dish or pizza in the house. The staff is friendly and helpful, and will help you figure out what pizza is right for you, and check to make sure you have everything. The start was amazing appetizers that are not just your standard fare, not your everyday garlic knots etc. then the pizza,, hot, tasty and fresh!! Perfect pizza every time! I eaten some of the considered one best in the world, (Bianco) and this place is working on moving on up! Thank you for the great dinner!!!!

Absolutely love Cerrones! Very fresh ingredients and it doesn't matter if you eat it there or at home. 10 out of 10 customer service is great as well.

We ordered multiple pies; plain pepperoni, and margherita. Two in our party ordered the spaghetti. Everything was delicious. Though it's a smaller establishment they were able to accommodate our party of 15 on a Thursday night given short notice. If ever in this area again I would definitely visit again.

Tried this spot for the first time after seeing good reviews. The atmosphere felt relaxed and friendly. Service was quick but still thoughtful. Prices seemed fair for what you get. I'd say it's worth checking out at least once.

Really good. This is the best pizza I've had in Columbus. The ingredients were fresh tasting and the pie was well made with appropriate quantity and distribution of toppings. I LOVE that you can actually taste the sauce but it's not overboard either. A lot of places use a pinch of sauce and you can't even taste it. I went to pick up my order and didn't have to wait long. The girls at the register were very welcoming and nice. Highly recommend.

While in town for a graduation, we asked quite a few people their favorite pizza in Columbus. Cerrone's came up time again. Those people knew their pizza! We started with a Burrata salad that was drizzled with balsamic vinegar and nestled in with heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil. It was absolutely incredible! Cerrone's make their own Burrata, and you could tell. It was fantastic! We also ordered the bread knots, which were incredibly special. Perfectly coated with garlic and butter, and paired with a homemade marinara that was out of this world. I had the mushroom pizza, and trusted them with the base sauce. It turns out it's almost like a masala! It was absolutely perfect. They put together a Hawaiian pizza for the guys, using prosciutto instead of ham. The toppings on both were absolutely phenomenal, but the crust was incredibly special. It was chewy, but light and airy. Absolute magic! It was my husband's birthday, so they brought him a cannoli. Again, it was homemade and absolutely perfect. They topped it with caramel, strawberries, and chocolate chips. That was the only sweet to this perfect dish. And as if that wasn't enough, the staff was wonderful. We sat in a back booth and had the privilege of talking to the kitchen staff as they worked. The entire night was so special. The next time we are in town, this will be a definite for the evening.

Yummy pizza night spot! We ordered a large Spicy Hawaiian, garlic knots, and a local IPA. Everything was tasty! If you live nearby this is a nice option for pizza. Happy to have found them. Service was very friendly and food and drinks came out quickly.

My Active Duty son and his family were recently visiting from S. Korea and being a pizza lover, I was anxious to take him to the "World's Best Pizza" as awarded in 2025. That award is proudly displayed on thei entry door, but it is incorrect. While the owner may have won such an award in Las Vegas, the quality IS NOT transferred to this Veteran's Parkway location. I spent well over $100 for pizzas and drinks and imagine our surprise when the pizzas arrived and had a thick layer of grease across the top of each. It took about fifty napkins to dry it off. Then the quality was just not there. I've had frozen pizzas that are much better. It is expensive, per pie and the atmosphere isn't great. So much for awards.

The best pizza in the south. This is a New York style pizza. I grew up on Chicago style pizza but if you like the NY pizza this is your place. The best and fastest service you will find. Inside has lots of references to New York. Frequent this place often for my pizza fix.

Cerrone's is hands down the best pizza place in Columbus, GA! As a locally owned and operated pizzeria, they take pride in serving authentic New York-style pizza, and it truly shows. We've ordered from them twice now, and both times the food has been consistently delicious. The freshness of the ingredients is immediately noticeable, and the flavors are outstanding. The pizza has that perfect brick oven taste that's hard to find outside of New York, and the mozzarella sticks are simply to die for--crispy on the outside, gooey and flavorful on the inside. We order through DoorDash, and Cerrone's always delivers on time with the same great quality every time. What we love most is that Cerrone's is a smaller, locally owned restaurant, and it has quickly become our go-to spot for pizza. We don't even consider ordering from anywhere else anymore. If you're looking for authentic, mouthwatering pizza in Columbus, look no further than Cerrone's!

Disappointed. Placed my order around 5:15. It's 7:20 and our order still isn't ready. Yes, the pizza is amazing, but waiting two plus hours to get a take out order is redic.

The pizza was awesome. I had the Formaggio pizza with sausage and my mom had the sausage and sweet pepper pizza. These are personal size but they're really a good size 11 inch. That would feed two people.

Some friends had recommended this place, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I'm a big fan of brick oven pizza, always have been. This was excellent! What I liked about this was that the pizza had a sort of smoky taste to it. Nice beer selection. Family friendly. Probably more designed for takeout, but I settled into a nice booth and enjoyed myself. Would definitely recommend.

Second time my order was messed up. Both times not refunded. Today I waited 2 hours for my online pickup . No refund .

We are new to the area and we're staying at the hotel indigo on the riverfront. As we're watching TV we saw the commercial for Cerrone's brick oven pizza. What the heck, let's give it a try. I opened yelp and saw a few negative reviews, but normally people get mad and they write a review. When people are happy, they don't necessarily take the effort. So I didn't pay much attention to those bad words. So we walked in with our Texas drawls and an appetite for a new kind of pizza and were Greeted with great hospitality and friendly faces everywhere. We had questions about this pizza, as it wasn't what we were quite used to. The pizza SME's were there to answer our questions. Not only did they avoid talking ill of other places, they really explained the differences in the kinds of pizza. Very accommodating. I had a question of the beer, and what did they do, but ask their cicerone to come out. he walked me through a few options and helped me pick a good beer. Our pizza was delivered, and it was delicious. Kudos to the great suggestions and the two employees working the front. And to the beer guy. Everything was perfect. Thank you, Cerrone's brick oven pizzeria for making a great meal and a great memory.

ordered a pizza to go at 5:20pm. was told it would be an hour so I arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 PM and was told it would be another 25 minutes at least. WHAT PIZZA TAKES AN HOUR AND A HALF TO MAKE.

I'm from Germany, living in Columbus for 30+ years. Just now finding the Holy Grail of All Pizza Places. I grew up with REAL Italian Pizza's in my family and Cerrone's Pizza Comes as close as it gets to what you want from a Pizza these days. Your CHOICE, Your CUSTOMIZATION and you get what you paid for of your own choosing and then some. I am not a Influencer, not a Reviewer of any kind BUT a very Healthy Picky Eater. And my choice was: Supreme with Mushroom Cream, cause of health problems on my end with the red Tomato Sauce. My body can not handle any kind of red sauce and they gave me such great other choices to make the pizza even better was a great costumer experience for me. Thank you for your great service and great costumer experience. Now let me finish my Awesome Pizza before it gets cold. ;)

I can't say enough good things about the quality of food at this establishment. Don't second guess.....just go. Fresh ingredients from people who care about the product that they're putting out.

New Yorkers in town for ARMY graduation, food is delicious, we ordered their Pizza, cheesy bread , garlic knots all of it was very tasty We will be back in December. The staff are outstanding Highly recommend going,eat in or take out.

Definitely the best pizza in Columbus! Fresh ingredients, made to order, and never disappoints. The staff here is as great as the food. The only negative is that it is always FREEZING inside. Bring a jacket and sit on the right hand side to avoid the AC and enjoy the amazing Italian fare that Cerrones has to offer!

In route to the beach and looking for a quick sit down- this was DELICIOUS! The margarita pizza was amazing! The garlic cheese bread and caprese salad were also fabulous! We made a note to come back by on the way home! Oh and the employees were very friendly! Only negative is that they serve Pepsi instead of Coke!

For me this was an amazing experience because it reminded me of home taste. I am from Italy and it's been hard to find a pizza place that has the same taste. The service was above and beyond the standard and even made me feel home. I left in tears because I felt nostalgic of my country! I was visiting Columbus and a friend recommended this place. Don't let the location fool you...the pies were delicious. Thin crust pizzas cooked in a brick oven, crust came out perfect and the veggies were fresh and crisp. I had the Supreme, mom had the Margherita and both were excellent. The staff were friendly as heck and attentive. They cut the pies in big slices so if you want some smaller bites then just ask. Overall, I would eat there again any time!

I have been to Cerrones at least a dozen times , they are very clean , friendly , professional and the pizza is second to none . If you recognize and appreciate a well run , genuine , top shelf true pizzeria , don't pass on Cerrone's

Will not be going back. If you sit in the booths near the kitchen, you get poor service but if you sit by the drafty door you don't. The amount of nasty looks, the way they'd start up making all kinds of noise any time you try to have a conversation, the bathrooms barely locking (with a sharpie message on the door about it, very professional) and the loud music is absurd. With the exception of the person who took the order, everyone else had a nasty attitude like you are inconveniencing them by existing. What I can only assume was the manager was in and out of the bathroom every five minutes and standing with his leg on the booth closest to the kitchen. The food is very hit or miss and I have only ever had a decent experience with the food if I sit right by the drafty door. Given that I've never been anything but nice and polite, I am not sure why I am treated like I am dog waste on the bottom of their shoe. The irony of a commercial for kitchen nightmares coming on while I am eating and knowing, this place should be on there next

Best pizza in Columbus GA. 10 out of 10 . The pizza reminds me of back home New York pizza. Staff is very knowledgeable and great.

I was super excited to eat here with all of the excellent reviews and awards, but was a bit let down. The hostess checked to make sure our order was correct, except for the garlic knots- she didn't check that bag and of course it ended up being a salad and not the knots. She offered for me to come pick it up but that would have been another 40 minute round-trip. We tried the Alla Vodka pizza and the flavor was good, the crust was super dry and for the first time in my life I say there wasn't enough sauce. I still can't believe I uttered those words. The Nutella pizza was the best part and was pretty decent. I don't quite think it lived up to the hype which would deter me from coming again, especially with the quality vs the prices of those pies.

Probably the best pizza in town. I highly recommend the Alla vodka pizza but I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered from here.

Found this placed after randomly being in the mood for your not so average pizza and extremely glad I did. This place is a little hidden gem in Columbus which can be somewhat lacking in quality food experience the pizza was fresh with quality ingredients as well as the meatballs. The service was great as they let you dine comfortably while also making sure you're taken care of. Place is kind of self serve so whenever you need something it is easy to get. We actually came while the owner was dining as well and was great to get insight on why he started the business and how it's gotten a good rep, place has nice selection of beer and wine and constantly switches things up. A great family homey feeling restaurant will be back.

Absolutely delicious!!! I was iffy when looking for pizza in Georgia. But I saw good reviews for this place. I was very impressed. I had a personal double pepperoni with olives. Overall taste was fantastic. The crust was perfect and the sauce had a great flavor. I also had a small Cesar salad.

Best pizza place in Columbus. Their cinna-bites are also amazing. The only downside is they're closed on Sundays.

AMAAZING! My husband and I came around 11:30am on a Monday, so it was slow but the service was so amazing. We ordered a square pizza and it was the spicy Hawaiian. It had spicy capicola, (which is why I wanted to get it) hot honey, pineapples and jalapeños. SO GOOD! There were 6 slices and they were huge. Seriously this place is so good and might be the best pizza in Columbus. I wish I took a picture for you all to see but I guess you're just going to have to visit!

Curb-side pick up was great! They had great customer service and gave us a perfect order! Personal pizza is pretty big and we got sooooo much food for the price! The Bianca was good, pepperoni pizza was great, garlic cheesy pie was yummy, and the Nutella pie was sweet! We will be back!

Let me start off by saying that I'm definitely not a pizza person. When people obsess over it, I'm over here like... give me some cheesy bread, I'm good. My man is the same way. He is from Chicago and I'm from L.A., and we have had pizza from all over, including New York. With that being said... This is the best pizza IN THE WORLD. Eat here. You won't regret it!!!! Eat the garlic knots. Eat the cheese bread. Eat the meatballs. Eat ANYTHING YOU CAN. This stuff is so good. The BEST flavor, the BEST texture. We have tried nearly all of the flavor combinations and love them all!!! Spicy hawaiian is my personal favorite but I love spicy food lol. Just trust me. I bring everyone who visits here and they love it!

Stopped here on our way to Atlanta and I must say this place was delicious. We ordered a personal pizza half cheese half pepperoni hot right out of the oven the cheese flavor was amazing and loved the wood smell. I didn't have time to take any pictures but I must say when I'm back in this area I will definitely come back. I did order a cannoli however I am to full to eat it now but it looks amazing in the box.
