Certified Burgers and Beverage

Food was delicious. There's an option for fries, tots, and chips with every burger/sandwich. Standard and special limited time shakes for dessert. Our server Kaitlyn was extra wonderful.

The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. We had the buffalo tater tots on the side, and they were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and an excellent complement to the Greektown burger we shared. The house-made sauces added a great touch. The service was friendly and attentive, making for an all-around fantastic dining experience. If you’re in SSI and craving a great burger, this is the place to go!

Great atmosphere and very popular place. The burgers were delicious. I wish I had room for a milkshake.

I just stopped here around 3PM during my break, and not knowing what to expect. I ordered the greek town burger which was out of this world, the flavors were amazing to the point I can’t get enough. I think that’s the first time in decades that I ordered a burger and felt I got more than what I paid for. I ordered fries on the side, the pimento cheese appetizer, and house lemonade, all of which were perfect! Stephanie took my order, very polite, direct and fast. The food came quickly, the atmosphere was fantastic and relaxing. I’m just sad i couldn’t spend more time and money here. If you haven’t been you’re missing something amazing.

Not the traditional burger menu. Food was great. The sloppy tots were awesome. The big popper was amazing.

The place was not very busy, it took about 30 minutes to get our hamburgers & fries after ordering. The burgers & toppings were fresh and tasted fresh but lacked any distinct character to flavor. A waitress had spilled a couple of glasses of water on the floor enough to cover a 3 foot area and she did not clean it up. She allowed others to walk thru it as she did herself.

The food was great. Service was not. Our waiter was completely unatentative to the point of having to flag him down with any needs, including ordering our food and correcting wrong food served. The place was almost empty, and the two families who came in after were sat right next to us on either side. I did not even have space to get out without them moving over. Would i eat there again? Yes. Would i want the same type of service again? No.

Not the best burger but not the worst I’ve had. They have many exotic burger options that vary widely in flavors and ingredients. The Nola was not bad, but could have been seasoned more. They only had one server working, who was nice but struggled to keep up during the dinner rush.

This restaurant was a great find on our trip to Jekyll Island! They had gluten free options and were allergy conscious for dairy and other food allergies, they even had a dedicated gluten free fryer! Great service and great tasting food! Would definitely recommend and wish that we had a location back home

Burgers are awesome! The staff is helpful with guiding newcomers to CBB on what the favorites are as well as specials. The ambiance is cool. The only thing that prevented me from giving 5 stars is the draft beer selection. Many choices from the craft world but no basics like Miller Lite, Bud Light etc.... Sometimes you want a lawnmower beer instead of an IPA or other craft type beers. Other than that it's a go to spot!

We were hungry last night, so we decided to stop by Certified Burger. Food looked good online so we had to check it out. We walked in and grabbed a seat at the bar. Bartender took good care of us while we were there. We ordered a few cocktails and looked over the food menu. The birria burger on special caught my eye and my buddy went with the fungi burger. We also ordered some wings after she told us they were smoke fried. Wings came out quickly and looked good. They were simply seasoned and could have stood to have a better rub, but the crispy skin was perfect. The house made ranch was outstanding and the Alabama hotel sauce was good. Burger were slow to come out, but when they did, they looked good. I did expect the birria burger to be served with a dipping sauce like the tacos, but it was not. It was still a tasty burger. The brisket birria had great flavor. The fungi burger was said to be tasty and cooked properly. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Food and service were good. We would definitely return. We saw a guy order a bourbon shake and realized we needed one next time.

Terrific burgers, a must visit if you are a burger connoisseur visiting SSI. Good beer selection, friendly service, and large portions. If you're super hungry, try "The World", double patty, with a mix of toppings served with fries and tots. We visited a couple of years ago, and just had our second visit. Will stop back in whenever visiting SSI.

Wanted a delicious burger & found this well-hidden spot. The burgers were JUICY and delicious & I indulged on a chocolate shake, too! We had the American (great for the kids -- "normal" burger) & the Funghi Town (mushrooms, sauerkraut & grilled onions!). DELICIOUS!! We got the tots (CRISPY!!) and a couple of sodas (Coke products). We'd DEFINITELY go back -- nice, open space & our waiter was SUPER attentive & helpful!

These burgers were great! They were SUPER messy though. The burger flavors are really fun. I had the Buford Highway which was a Korean inspired burger. The flavors were different for a burger but really good. The fries and tots were great. Our waiter was super nice. The restaurant had a very low key vibe.

The burgers were mediocre. Both my husband and I ordered the American and were given an overcooked, flavorless burger. We were disappointed, considering the reviews this restaurant was given. Originally my husband was going for Oxaca and we were here early- 4:45 and they told us they were out of Chorizo. Certified Burgers? Perhaps renewal for certification needs to be reconsidered.

Tried another spot in SSI that was new to me and a favorite to the rest of our group. I got the Oaxaca Burger which features a chorizo patty, avocado, pickled onions, Oaxaca cheese, and I added a fried egg to top it off. Talk about delish Then of course the Buffalo Bleu Tots and Zach got the Pimento Cheese and Bacon and added a fried egg as well. They are most known for their Flavor of the Day Boiled Peanuts

I brought my sister here and she literally said it was one of the BEST burgers she has EVER had!! A bold statement for sure, but I have to agree the flavor of the meat they use is awesome! They have a butcher shop attached so no doubt that explains the great quality and freshness! They have many types of burgers and other meats like chicken & veggie burger option. The tater tots and the fries are delicious too! They have a full bar and even offer some brunch options on the weekends. The wait staff is very pleasant and treat you very well! You have to this place!!

Well let me say that Felicia was one of the BEST servers ever!! She was knowledgeable Nd so hospitable!! She knew everything in menu and provided the information we need to order our food!! Ok y'all the boiled peanuts here are AMAZING!! Spicy pickle boiled peanuts were delicious! Shakes are Devine and the burgers have to be the BEST ON THE ISLAND!!!! We will be back!!!!! My favorite place on island!!!

We had a good lunch here. We were taking a break from seafood and this fit the bill. It's not the easiest to find and is popular with the locals -- so go early or late if you're stopping in for lunch. We sat at the bar and had good, friendly service. She was patient with all our questions, too. The menu is large and a bit complicated. Just figure out what you want and you can always adjust the toppings on some of the suggestions. You also choose whether you want "pink or no pink" as well as your side item (fries, chips, tots). My husband had their nola burger with salami and olive relish. He said the relish reminded him of what was on a muffuletta. I got their burger with mushrooms and cheese. The burger was grilled flat and very well done. The provolone was melted into the meat. The mushrooms tasted good, but were cold. I had the sauce served on the side. It was a tad spicy for me . The (house made) fries were good -- especially the few cooked extra crispy. I'd come here again if on island and looking for a good burger...

Certified Burger has great salads! I like the Rough House which consist of a kale mix black eyed peas pecans and buttermilk herb style dressing. They also have a good Cobb with blue cheese, bacon, egg and avocado. Additionally Chinatown has cabbage carrots green onion cucumber and peanut vinegarette. Their milkshakes are gourmet & they have one of the best margaritas on #stsimonsisland is made here. (Think egg white based less sugar) I like to try the specialty boiled peanuts as they spice them differently often. Cozy environment yet I've seen them pull together and accommodate larger unexpected parties. "Between the hedges" the outdoor space is hard to beat

Stopped by on the first night for a quick bite to eat. The place wasn't crowded and we sat at the bar. We ordered some beers and some appetizers. The pimento cheese and crackers was great as was the tater tots. Definitely want to try and come back for the burgers.

Burgers are very good. Tastes like home, only better. I like the Korean burger. My wife likes regular burger no cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion. Friendly people provide efficient service.

Worst Burger Ever, Inedible, Threw It Away Cold in the middle, disgusting, lost my appetite and threw the whole $20 meal away. This was a take out order. I had selected the Buford Highway burger because I wanted the napa cabbage. When I got home with the burger I discovered it did not have any cabbage on it, nor cilantro. I had paid $2 for a gluten free bun; it was dry, stale, and flavorless. Worst of all was the undercooked beef. I have eaten medium-rare beef before, and this was not that. This had cold spots in it; it was very red in places (not pink). It was gross and put me off the whole meal, so I chucked it. I picked this up at 4:15 p.m. on a weekday. The restaurant was practically empty, so it wasn't a matter of a harried kitchen staff. I've eaten better fast food burgers for a fraction of the price.

Well, I can't believe it,another foodie place that was unsatisfactory.I don't even know why the server asked how we wanted burgers cooked. Certainly not over done and taste less. Even the buns were not fresh. I'm just glad we did not take the whole family there for lunch or dinner. Very disappointing and not good.

This is one of my absolute favorites on SSI. Tucked into the corner of the plaza with Harris Teeter, locals and tourists rub elbows. There is indoor and outdoor seating for making new friends and catching up with old ones too. The menu is primarily burgers but there are also tasty salads and chicken sandwiches. The star here is the tater tots! You won't want to miss them. Equally impressive is the beer, wine and liquor menu. I am a huge fan of Brooklyn Gin. I was thrilled to see it on the menu poured with a Fever Tree tonic. Very SSI impressive! Come one, come all! See website for hours, location and menus. There is ample parking near the restaurant for any size party.

We went here for lunch and we all ordered medium rare burgers. The burgers came out well done with burnt specks on the them. My Alaina party had no flavor and I couldn't taste the bbq sauce. The patties were small and uneven. The tater tots weren't cooked through and soft. It was one of those meals where we regret spending $80+ on. Our server was very good. The ambiance was nice for our family of 5, including a 2 year old running around. Just wish the food was good.

This place is impressive. First rate food. Creative dishes. Old style entrées with a new flair. Try it. Chances are you'll really like it.

Great island burgers. Consistently quick service and even their to-go orders are kept warm and the tots are fresh. Recommend the Buford Highway and the Fun-gi (Funguy) burgers.

We ate Brunch here after church at around 11am and it was delicious. The drinks were as yummy as the food. My husband and I ordered from the brunch menu and it did not disappoint. They offer gluten free buns. The kids fruit is all orange and apples, which is perfect. They're open at 11am on Sunday's and they have outdoor seating if you're interested. The fountain sodas are all good stuff made with real cane sugar :-)

First time in, always a fan of a great burger and this spot won't disappoint! Ordered the American no cheese with side of fries. Burger had a nice crust and great flavor cooked perfectly medium on what appeared to be a freshly baked sesame seed bun. Fries were super crispy and delicious dipped in the special sauce. Definitely 5 stars for a burger joint.

So it's been a while since I went out and did a food review. Tonight the wife and I tried this burger establishment out. I had the American burger with fries and although a simple choice the flavor was far from simple. The burger was perfect. Flavor was amazing and fries were spectacular. I also had a bowl of the boiled peanuts. I was a bit shocked when I realized they had been boiled with pickles. However once I started eating them I could not stop. I will be making my next batch with pickles. Staff were amazing and super nice. Our drinks never got low. Now here is the only negative. I was raised eating German food. That being said I ordered the Bratwurst and it looked amazing. That's the only plus for me. Extremely heavy flavored with sage along with the choice of mustard leaves a horrible and heavy after taste after each bite. I tried three bites to make sure how I felt and gave up. Unable to eat any more of it I just wrapped the remaining in a napkin and sent it back. All in all I recommend this restaurant for their burgers and staff.

Just sat at the bar for 6 minutes with no eye contact and no "be right with you" at the bar so we walked out. Too bad because our tab would have been around $70+

This place was off the beaten path, we ventured here not knowing what to expect. The food was great, the service was outstanding! Great place to Avis it and we will be back again!

The food and service was great. Our only issue was the table next to us was very loud. They do not have booths and they have a long row of tables which are divided for individual seating BUT the other people are very close. One woman was so loud and people were looking at her from across the restaurant.

Go check it out! Great burger combinations ! Service was great and helpful. Great place to get away from the beach tourist spots.

We enjoyed riding our bikes to eat lunch here. The service was great and quick. They had both indoor and outdoor eating.

Delicious!! Wow is this place good. We were taken here by some of our friends that live locally and told us it was a must try while we are in town. We worked with Rachel who is just fun and really helps you if you haven't been in before. We felt like she went above and beyond and really make our time in the restaurant more enjoyable! We will be back for a milkshake! We were stuffed after dinner and weren't able to fit dessert in, but their shakes and floats are suppose to be amazing! Be sure to check out if you are in town!

Love it! Good food, good service, good atmosphere and you can eat outside too! I love the fungi (mushroom) burger and Greek burger (lamb and beef) all fresh ground. Sliders options are all tasty too. Family friendly restaurant. Don't miss it!

The service, despite being understaffed, was amazing. Food was above average and enjoyable, as was the casual atmosphere. But we got such a kick out of the Yelp review by Isabel from Hawaii that we checked the menu. It seems her highly educated table of diners skipped the reading comprehension section of the end of course exam because the title of the burger section is "Burgers and More". Every menu item lists the meat included in the sandwich, whether it is a beef patty, chorizo, lamb, or chicken. However, the "Dixie", not "Dixie Burger", lists pimiento cheese and bacon with no meat. Nonetheless, someone at our table wanted it as a burger, so they were happy to prepare it that way. (Photo is for proof of meat on the special request Dixie, lol.)

Great atmosphere, great burgers and chicken sandwich. The pimento and cheese appetizer possibly the best I have had. Fantastic liquor selection.

Olivia is a great waitress, and she makes awesome milkshakes. The chicken on the sandwich special was tough, when mentioned to Olivia it was quickly replaced with another chicken sandwich. This sandwich was better, but it seems to be the chicken- (not the chef) that is where the fault lies. The buffalo potato tots were great. So, the lesson learned is when at a burger place eat what they do best.

We ate outside. Staff was friendly and accommodating as we had our small dog with us. He brought out a water bowl for our dog! Food was well portioned and we both liked the metal tray servers They got our order correct too! Good food. Got time even our dog liked of!

Delightful salads and burgers . They have Different and also classic burgers . Great drinks and ambiance. They offer full or half salads and milkshakes.

The food was very good. Portion sizes were adequate and the quality of food was good. However! They add on one percent to their bill for a charitable donation to the Land Trust. FYI for anyone that doesn't like tacked on junk fees. If it weren't for being surprised by that, it would've been five stars.

We ate here about a month ago. Not bad, not great. You'll enjoy your meal but there are better burgers out there.

Worst service ever waited over an hour while social women on their phones at one table finished with their meal and their kids at another table finished their meal and playing on their phones and while I appreciate they are paying customers just like us we watched countless people wait a bit then leave all because no one would address! Horrible management just horrible

The burgers are excellent and can be cooked to desired temp. Love their freshly made chips! We eat or order from here frequently.

Used to be 5 BUT now no Boylans diet soda and no egg creams. It was one of the great things that made you different.However, the burgers are great! I like the Oxaca and Buford Hwy as well as the chickpea and Rough house they are great!!

If your expecting an amazing burger, you will not be disappointed. All the Burgers are awesome. What you may not expect is the amazing salads! Definitely my favorite salad spot on the island. Also, the wine by the glass list is one of the best locally. Love sitting at the bar when we can.

Got a takeout order tonight and it was disgusting! The burger was literally raw! So gross!! Have been going here every year we come down and it's always been amazing but this year it was gross!! Not sure we will go back again!

So, never have I ordered a basket of sliders and not received a hamburger patty on the bun, but it happened here. Everyone at the table had at least a graduate level education, some doctorate, we were all flabbergasted that an item on the menu, listed under hamburgers, was served sans a ground beef patty. PSA Do not order the Dixie Burger- it is not a burger. Bless the wait staff, while we were there were only 2.

Most delicious, tender donuts I have ever had. These are worth the trip alone! Yes Sunday morning donuts! Everyone that had a burger said it was incredible! I had the Brat... It was huge and tasty. The home made chips are salted just right. Ask for a side of ranch, it's homemade as well, and OMG. I'd by a bottle of that! Small place, but clean, and very comfortable. And it serves Boylan sodas which gives you something other than the usual selections.

This restaurant is very trendy and the atmosphere was great. The staff is very friendly and the owner personally goes around and checks on every patron at their table. I really would have liked to give it a higher rating. I ordered the Buford Highway Burger and had high expectations based off other Yelp reviews. I was disappointed. The burger was just "ok" for me and was nothing special. I would recommend the buffalo tots. They are decent. Another reason for the 3 stars was the wait. The wait was so long that the people sitting next to us asked us if we had ordered. The restaurant has ample parking, outdoor seating with games like connect four and jenga, and a full bar.

Quick day trip to SSI and was looking for a place for lunch and stumbled across CBAB. Big thank you to Julia for the awesome service. We started with the Certified Cheese and Sausage plate. OMG you can tell that someone in the kitchen knows and loves their meat. This was awesome and I would willingly drive 2 hours back to Certified to have this again! I had the brunch special of Brioche French Toast with Macerated Peaches and I loved it. We also tried the one of the burgers and it was delicious! If you happen to be in the area, I would suggest stopping in and trying all the lovely things this little gem of a restaurant has to offer!!!

Great food, amazing waitstaff (especially Julia!) and a cool vibe. I had the 'Burgh and it was spot on for Primanti Brothers in Pittsburg ... the table had an Oaxaca burger and a 'Canuck. All were very good. The manager came by to check on us but Julia had us all under control. Must try!!

The food was delicious. Carter was our server and he was outstanding! He was so patient with my grandmother's menu questions. He has no idea how much his kindness meant. My husband passed away about a week prior to us eating there. We were in town for a quick getaway. It was late and they were near closing. You just never know as a server who you are serving. Thank you Carter for your above and beyond service! I highly recommend the milkshakes. Food was delicious!
