If you want to have a delicious breakfast, this place is perfect for you. It opens early and offers authentic Mexican food. In this case, I enjoyed some delicious green chilaquiles. The service of the employees, their friendliness, kindness and service exceeded my expectations. It was worth it and I will obviously return to enjoy some shrimp next time. I recommend it to you, you won't regret it. Super convenient they are open 24hrs. Bonus

So I decided to eat here tonight and had no problems before until tonight... There was a whole Roach that came from under the table as you will see in the video... And then when asking for a refund they said no just moved to a different table... Any other person would have offered a remake but if roaches are out here where people are eating who knows what the kitchen looks like we're all the food is being stored and they have food all out... And it just makes you wonder how do they even have a 4.0 on top of passing health inspection...

Google
Good cheap late night eats! This spot was perfect for me and my brother to go to when we were craving some food after having a night out. The flavor was great, the size of the burrito I ate was massive. I'll definitely keep this one on my list when I'm back in town.

Google
I always order the Taco plate with rice and beans. It never disappoints!

Google
Great Oak Cliff place to have a late night Mexican food fix. There are tons of traditional offerings including breakfast items. My daughter ordered the flautas and I ordered the crispy tacos. Whatever you order make sure you have the green sauce (assuming tomatilla) to accompany. The green salsa is amazing.

Google
Been here multiple times. This is my late night to go spot. Like really late night around 3-4am. Best food.

Google
Since I moved to Dallas in 2021. This hole in the wall has been consistent each and every time ! The dishes served here are authentic Mexican dishes. I haven’t had everything on the menu but the caldo de pollo and taco plate are my 2 favorites. Thank you to all the ladies in the back cooking and prepping every

Google
I went in to grab a breakfast burrito this morning - egg and chorizo. The restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. But the burrito was amazing! Great value for money and the flavor was fantastic. Greasy in the best way. I’ll be back.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place. Hole in the wall spot but off a somewhat busy strip in Oak Cliff. It looked busy!! Parking lot is small but parking shouldn't be an issue. The menu is massive and kind of overwhelming. Prices are good too!! Got 3 tacos and rice / beans. $10 or so. Pastor, barbacoa, lengua. Wait was not long. They call the dish you order at the window. I wish I would've skipped the rice / beans. Didn't feel like it added to the meal. The tacos were pretty average though. I had high hopes too.. I don't know.. I think the meat wasn't flavored that well. someone mentioned it is a spot that has been there for a while and open late, so I can see why it gets traffic. I heard it can be hit or miss depending on the day...

Raquelle J.

Yelp
I've gone to a couple different Cesar locations but they are all good! The chicken tacos are always super juicy. The wait can depend on the day and time you go but the service is good.

J M.

Yelp
Tacos were trash tortillas were hard gorditas were hard I ordered 10 tacos of pastor also a gordita plate Mexican coke and Fanta $50 bucks definitely not worth it

Yelp
I get California burritos every time I'm here & I know that it usually takes about 25-30 mins just to get my order so this time I had called in at 9:58pm and placed a food order. The girl I spoke to on the phone said it would take 10-15 mins to be ready. I arrived there & paid at 10:12pm I didn't get my burritos till 10:37pm. I waited patiently and once I got my food I asked for a side of pickled jalapeños & she insisted I pay $1.08 for the jalapeños I mentioned that I waited for 50 minutes to get my food & I still have to pay for the jalapeños? Her reply Was oh well yes you do.. so I said ok let me get the side she gave me the side and then told me to not worry about the $1 It's crowded on the inside & the customer service isn't there & you have to wait forever to get some food so definitely not speedy with the orders.

Chase L.

Yelp
Small hole in the wall location for some authentic street tacos that get the job done. Personally, I prefer their breakfast tacos. However, as you can see from the menu on the walls they have a lot of options. It's cheap, quick, and decent but nothing to write home about. If you're looking for a "clean" establishment.. this ain't it. Looks like the ceiling fans haven't been cleaned since they were installed. However, if you're tipsy after a night out at the bars. This is a good 24hr. Spot to grab some drunk snacks before you head to bed.

Doug D.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday night, I ordered a chimichanga. It took about 10 minutes to get it. It was about $8. It was big and had lots of stuff around it. It was very Americanized and I did enjoy it. I would definitely go back if I were in a Tex-Mex mood.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Second time here and I wasn't as in love as the first. The difference this time may be that I was completely sober. I ordered the exact same thing, 2 pastor and 1 asada with rice and beans Togo. It comes wrapped up with 2 salsas and PLENTY of onions and cilantro. (Thank you) The tacos were nothing to write home on, just okay. I made sure I added some extra salsa and lime to hide my disappointment. The rice was so good but the beans were extremely bland- I ended up mixing the extra onions and cilantro into the beans just to give them any flavor I could get. Some pros: Both times I've been here I've only seen women working which I think is pretty awesome. Regardless of how busy or empty they are both times I got my food in less than 5 minutes. I like that they show pictures of the food on the overhead wall and they give you a good amount of salsas and onion/cilantro mix. Going off of my sober experience there are definitely better tacos around, but maybe this was just a bad night. I'll probably give them one more try before coming to a full decision

Andrea J.

Yelp
Thank God for late night tacos!! We had been drinking at a bar down the street and were in desperate need of food. We walked to Cesar's and were happy that they were still open at 10:30 on a Thursday night. The place is very bright inside. The menu covers the walls and the background is yellow so it stands out. It's slightly overwhelming, but thankfully I was able to order 2 basic tacos and an order of elote. The tacos are simple street tacos. Meat in a small soft corn tortilla shell, onion and cilantro served on the side. Several hot sauce options are available. The elote is served in a cup and has good base flavor, but adding hot sauce made it SO much better. As far as street tacos and elote go, this place fits the bill!

Arthur S.

Yelp
The food is amazing the service is perfect and the ambience is most absolutely to die for! If I could have this food all day everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner I would finally become a fulfilled and whole happy man! Please don't ever stop eating here! For the love of anything you think is sacred, eat from here!

Jordan N.

Yelp
I feel like this is a Mexican food emporium. The place is not so big, but the menu is huge - and touches just about everything that's authentically Mexican. You want gorditas? check. Tacos? check. Ceviche? check? Fried whole fish, sopes, barbacoa, flautas, raspadas, nopales, carnitas, chicharrones, quesadillas, enchiladas? Yup... all checked. Now, that's pretty impressive, for a taqueria. Tell me if you know if any other taqueria that sells all of these things and more. And it's open 24 hours? Case closed. Okay, but really.... Anyways, I came to break my virginity with gorditas, and I can tell you gorditas are like sandwiches made out of corn tacos - nothing like the Venezuelan arepas (which are better, imho, but that's just me). But for what it was, it was good, and affordable. And I had them add steak into it, just for the hell of it! ;)

Laura R.

Yelp
I ordered 3 taco plate. Chorizo, lengua, and nopal. It came with rice, beans, and lettuce and tomato. I was really disappointed. My lengua taco had water in it like they just pulled it out of the pot without caring about a presentation. The nopal was drenched in the greasy sauce. The rice and beans were bland. Hardly any flavor. The place was nasty. There was trash on the floor like they hadn't swept the whole day. I went on a Saturday around 7 pm. I sat in the corner by the window with the bullet hole in it. There was writing on the wall. The seat across from me was all ripped up. I was really disappointed because usually the food from a hole in the wall place is really good. My plate was bland. The place looks dirty. Next time I'll drive the extra 5 minutes to fuel city.

Sophia G.

Yelp
I militarily and I came in during lunch to order food, and when it was time to pick it up. The man Pablo came out with an attitude my order was ready. Check my order and they gave me two lil small salsa to go. When I order chips and salsa in addition to my food. The man gets an attitude and cursed at me and walked off because I wasn't quick enough to answer him in the middle of them passing out food while I was standing there! DO NOT ORDER HERE!!!!

William W.

Yelp
Very good beef steak tacos and very good barbecoa tacos. The puzzle and some are excellent.

Esperanza P.

Yelp
I don't know why anyone would rate this taco spot badly. I have been coming here for over 10 years and my go to's are always delicious. I love their chicken tacos that I get with a plate of avocado on the side. I love their crema that I add to everything!! But my absolute favorite to get is the Quesadilla de Maiz. I don't know anywhere else that makes Corn Quesadillas that taste this good. I'm gluten free and this always hits the spot!! You gotta try it for yourself!!

Iris S.

Yelp
I love that they are willing to accommodate vegetarians. The ladies are super friendly and service is always quick. A few of my favorite menu items that I'd recommend are: the red enchiladas, the fried corn quesadilla, and bean gorditas and sopes. Here a couple of pictures of their menu, enjoy!

Kathy N.

Yelp
I went in to order some tacos to go. I had ordered 4 tacos- 2 chicharron, fajita, and pollo-all on corn. The cashier took my order and my name, and I paid. I didn't get the tacos until 30 mins later!! I was waiting by the pick up window and noticed that 2 different guests who ordered after me got their food. I thought that was weird, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they had to cook up some more meat for the tacos. So I waited...and waited...2 other different guests got their names called and picked up their orders. I then went to the front window where I paid to see what was going on. The cashier lady looked at me funny but continued to take other people orders. I saw a bag of food on the counter behind her. I asked her if my order is ready and that I had 4 tacos. She turned around and grabbed the bag of food and gave it to me. They WERE my tacos!! She didn't apologize or say anything. I don't know what happened - whether she couldn't understand me when she took down my name (she spoke to me only in Spanish), forgot to call out my name, or whatever. But if I worked there and saw that someone didn't pick up their food yet, I would go see about them. Needless to say, I won't return there. As for the tacos-the pollo was good, fajita was dry, and the chicharrones were dry and chewy like beef jerky.

Tricia V.

Yelp
Whenever I want some good authentic Mexican food this is the place to come. My favorite are all the caldos. I've become a regular. I call in my order and they have it ready in less then 15 min. I love to watch the ladies cooking!! I almost want to go back there and start cooking with them. They never disappointed me. Muchas Gracias!!

Maria S.

Yelp
I ordered red enchiladas, tacos al pastor, and a torta cubana to go. My fiancé had the torta and he said it was delicious. I had the enchiladas and they were alright, they had very little cheese inside of the enchiladas. It might have been chicken that they put inside but there was so little inside the enchiladas that I could only taste the tortilla and the cheese that was on top. They forgot to put the tacos in our to go bag so we didn't get to try those. The rice had a weird flavor to it and the beans tasted old.

Elsy C.

Yelp
Dont eat here unless theres no where else to go. Bland food and the nachos didn't look nothing like the picture they have to order from.

Tania R.

Yelp
My friend and I went to get some tacos and my friend almost broke her tooth because she bit into a METAL NAIL!!! Worst thing that could've happen giving that taco to my toddler and him chocking on a METAL NAIL!! Low maintenance place never again!!!

Tu H.

Yelp
Decent tacos and reasonable price. It's about 1.15 per taco. I had gotten the al pastor and the boyfriend had the steak. The al pastor didn't have much flavor and tasted just ok. I prefer Harry Hines tacos much better. Overall it isn't a bad place to get tacos at 12am in the morning if your hungry and there's nothing open. The good thing is that their open late and fast service.

Jason K.

Yelp
Messed up my order, slightly overpriced and it's really not as good as the nearby competition on flavor or price. Won't be back.

Diego S.

Yelp
If you are in the area and in the mood for $1.07 damn good tacos...stop by Cesar's at this location. Don't be scared when you walk in. Sure, the staff is barricaded in for a reason. But, if you stick to the daylight hours, I am sure nothing will happen during your meal. I ordered the picadillo and the bistec tacos. YUM Made fresh with the standard side of lime, cilantro, and onions. Unless you live nearby, I can't suggest you make the trek. But, if you live near Davis and Polk, make this a frequent pitstop.

Michael G.

Yelp
This is probably the worst introduction into Mexican food in Dallas that you could have. I've been here more than enough times to realize that they value their customers no more than Jack in the Box across the street. I wish they would understand simple details and not rely on drunken patrons to pay their staff but I guess 24 hrs means that they spread their care very thinly across that time frame. As there is no accountability, the quality of food and service will follow behind that. If you want real treatment hit up La Calle Doce, Gonzalez or Chemitas. This place is a joke. Oak Cliff resident here and proud support to those who treat folks well.

Jules B.

Yelp
Pretty authentic Mexican food! Born and raised in Houston, I am pretty picky when it comes to authentic Mexican food. Generally though, the meat was not seasoned enough and a bit on the dry side. We got the carnitas which were super dry, and Barbacoa and fajita beef tacos. Tortillas were not soft, but more chewy. Prices are pretty good, and they give you plenty of salsa, cilantro, onion and lime on the side for take out. Worth a try if you're in the area, but compares pretty equally to any other taqueria in Dallas, so don't make a special trip if you don't have to!

Ramiro L.

Yelp
It's aight.not the best but also not they worst the Gorditas were a little dry it needed more flavor to them

Joel V.

Yelp
Everything they serve here is great. Gorditas fritas con pastor always one of my personal favs. This is a great spot, go try it out and see for yourself.

Kirby W.

Yelp
Just the BEST tacos you will ever eat. Get the beef fajita, with cilantro and onion, then put their green sauce and lime on it. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Don't worry if you are the only gringo. Everyone here is very nice, and I have never felt uncomfortable. (My 21-year-old daughter goes with no problems.)

Alexia W.

Yelp
Okay so I've been to this place several times and I've never had a problem HOWEVER...TONIGHT!!!!!!! BLATANT DISRESPECT! Our food was not fresh, HEATED IN A MICROWAVE... she literally told us they cooked nothing fresh after a certain time which was so disappointing considering that we had been there so many times before! On top of the food not being up to part the freaking customer service was disgusting. Cheese literally like plastic!!!!! I spent $40 there and I wasn't satisfied with my food but instead of them saying okay we can sub it out for something else (which I suggested) she just got an attitude and kept poking around in the food saying "there's nothing I can do" oh yeah this is AFTER SHE HUNG UP IN MY FACE WHEN I CALLED! It's heartbreaking to say but I'll literally never return or let anyone I know deal with that type of disrespect ever again! Best of luck to y'all and hopefully this won't be your experience if you decide to risk it!!!!

Juliana S.

Yelp
I ordered four quesadillas de maiz and they charged all tacos. I let them know and when they made my order they made my quesadillas de arrina, so I returned them then they gave me the correct order. It took 1 hour to get the right order. Also the cream it came with was expired.

Richard B.

Yelp
Pretty good for the price. Had enchiladas verdes at like 1:30. Good when you want some good late at night.

Casey G.

Yelp
Not the best Tacos in Dallas but there not the worst. If you like greasy Tacos this is the place for you dripping with greasy goodness. The except card and have a variety of other things like Papussas which is a Salvadorian dish. If I don't have cash and I'm hungover I will come here. The thing I'm not a fan of is they don't offer salsa or hot sauce either they run out or people steal it maybe it's amazing but I just don't know they are always out when I go.

German S.

Yelp
Just paid $20 for 7 tacos and two jarritos...coming from LA, this would've cost closer to $10-12 and far better too

Macy C.

Yelp
Well priced, love the ladies that run the register. Food is great. Seating could be improved but they are working with what they have.

Andres B.

Yelp
Pretty much the real deal here. Looks like DF tastes like DF . Nice service, grimy decor like authentic DF. The guacamole is like no other... Very spicy! And that's good.

Jason P.

Yelp
PERFECT! You know it's good Mexican food when the menu is only in Spanish! I spotted it from the road and KNEW it was gonna be good! It delivered! The chillaquiles taste like angels made them

Ron S.

Yelp
Great little place I go here at least once a week. The food is great, especially for the price and they have quick service. I recommend the California burrito it's huge and loaded with a lot of meat. I especially love the sauce they have at the carry out window. One thing to Denver order is there hamburger it is awful.

Christopher R.

Yelp
Unfortunately, Yelp needs to get hip and offer a scale that reads up to 10 stars.... because Cesar's would get a 10 from me! Although the building seems a bit dilapidated, don't let the cover of the book fool you. Once you dust off the cover of this book, you will find wonderful and magical things! I ordered the spicy pork gorditas (amazing!) and a bistek taco. Talk about spicy, the have HUGE chunks of jalapenos that are grilled just swimming all up in your food. It makes for a beautiful kick that must be washed down with a 1/2 liter of Mexican Coke. $1.15 for a taco, $1.69 for a gordita and 7 mins from downtown... what more do you want in life? Go give Cesar's a shot and you will become a regular just like I did!

Lilly P.

Yelp
For 24 hour authentic Mexican food cravings, Caesars is the best. It's right there and it's always open... but you have to go more than once, no matter how bad your first experience is. I waited almost 45 minutes for my tacos the first time, and now they know my name. Their barbacoa is always perfect and their tortas and nachos really hit the spot, plus they have fresca, topo chicos or jarritos to accompany it with delicious crisp bunelos for dessert.

Brent A.

Yelp
After searching for hole in the wall places.... I finally found this one. I just moved here from LA so I am a big foodie and a big authentic Mexican food fan. I wasn't too fond of this place. The decor was blah and the menu was all over the place but my biggest concern is the food. I ordered several things as a tasting and it's very salty. Chorizo taco was mushy that it reminded me of dog food n the salty ness was unbearable that I only had 1 bite. The pastor was ok but then again very salty. I also had the bistek taco which was ok. Remind you my tacos and the aluminum foil that was wrapped in it was soaking with oil. The flautas was sooooooo hard that it seemed the meat inside was 10 days old. Their guacamole.... Well let's just say that was not guacamole. As for the burrito, I asked for carne asada, rice, beans, cheese and pico de gallo. What did I get inside? Meat and rice and it was dry like the Arizona weather. Probably won't go back here again .

Meghna G.

Yelp
They were open 24/7 and pretty much our only option after a late night flight into Dallas. Ordered gorditas to go - the food sure was greasy but it was what we needed after starving in the long flight, and the sauces were awesome! Prices were very good too.

Sara C.

Yelp
Its open 24 hours-- that's a plus! Kind of fun kicking it at 3 am with Oak Cliff hipsters, quincenera party-goers, and just anyone jinsin for a gordita or taco at the midnight hour. Mexican cokes and orange pop compliments, a variety of hot tacos and gorditas-- if you don't want to amp up your grease intake go for the chicken, if you want full flavor go for the carnitas or "al pastor" ask for it all --it really doesn't count if it isn't chaperoned by cilantro, chopped onions, and red and green salsas. The place is not much to look at-- can be a bit dirty at night--yellow swivel chairs and garrish lights, plus norteno music of course.

Vijay B.

Yelp
Great inexpensive Mexican food. The ambiance isn't great, so I'd suggest take-out; but they do have free wi-fi while you wait. The Carne Asada plate is a great deal at around $8. Along with the meat, rice & beans, you also get a small salad, tortillas, and half a fresh avocado.

Berenice L.

Yelp
Love this place! The gorditas de chicharon are my favorite! Me & my coworkers order from here often & it never fails! Good Mexican food for very low prices.

Alejandra D.

Yelp
I called an order of 5 lengua tacos and 4 fajita tacos. My husband picked it up and when he got home. We had 5 lengua tacos and 4 chicken tacos. Who the hell orders chicken tacos? I called them not mad or anything just wanted it corrected. She insisted she wrote down chicken not fajita. I said you wrote it wrong can you make me the right tacos. She said I guess are you coming. I sent my sister who was down the street and they refused to give her the tacos because I needed to take the wrong tacos. Lmao are you freaking serious? Who does that? My husband was on his lunch break and Had to go back to take their tacos and just get our money back. Which she refused by the way. She said she was the manager and she wasn't giving our money back. What a sad pathetic lady. Unprofessional, discourteous and horrible customer service skills. God bless her.
