Came here with my 8 year old son this past Thursday after having gone to Tree top. First, the service and people were absolutely fantastic. Truly truly good people. I ordered the lamb shank salad and my son got steak tips. Holy cow they were both amazing. My son ate almost all my lamb. He’s been asking for it nonstop since! Totally recommend this place! Me and my son will definitely be back!

Had me a nice, fresh, hand battered fish & chips today at this fine establishment on the south shore. This place is the epitome of a classic, traditional Irish pub. Big thanks to Felix, Emily and Amy for the great service. If you happen to be in the canton area then be sure to check this place out!

Came here for first time... all I can say is one of best places around. I had my heart set on the cuban but they just switched to their summer menu. I went with the Korean bowl and it was great. I wish my hillbilly town had a good place like this! The fried pickles are a must to try! Unique and amazing!

The wings here are to die for second time we’ve driven almost 2 hours to get them they’re not pictured but a absolute must have on top of that we got the sparerib grilled cheese and the smoked house burger both absolutely delicious this place is a 10/10 with an amazing atmosphere and amazing service the servers go out of there way to make sure you’re taken care of will definitely be returning here again soon

We ordered the mango habenero wings and a bacon+onion pizza. The food was phenomenal! The wings were the best wings I've ever had in my life and the pizza was also delicious. The bartender was also very friendly. Overall a great late night dining experience. HIGHLY recommend

Heard about how good your food was online and have been planning to stop by for almost a year and finally had a chance to come in. Traveled from the North Shore and not disappointed….We got the Nachos, Burger and Rico wrap. All were so good. Margarita and Dorchester Golden Ale on tap also great. Service and friendliness top notch !! Will definitely be back soon.

Update: I appreciate the owner response. Kind of sad but they focused only on a couple of elements from my review. They also made assumptions about me and my choices. I even gave props to your food and bartender. I've had plenty of non mass produced beersIPA in Boston and many other cities around the country. $12 is absolutely excessive. You're beers were ok. I'd drink them again but not at $12 when I've had plenty better for prices I mentioned. Sorry that hurts your feelings. For the pizza and pricing. Funny you can list how much it is to add prices to add proteins to a salad but not a pizza. Plus, if you'd of taken the time to really read you'd notice I even asked your bartender. She replied "yes" when I asked if that was any topping. I was just as surprised as you since other pizzas were more. You can easily put the price of each topping in parenthesis next to the topping. Simple formatting will allow you the room. For the beer menu there's plenty of white space to add their prices. I get you're defending your ridiculous pricing but get over yourself. It was good, not earth shattering. I'm not disappointed so no need to be sorry. Good day, mate. This is another prime example of why places should be required to have prices clearly stated on the menu. Absolute ripoff!! I will say the food itself was good and the bartender kept up with me regularly even with a fully crowded bar. The issue is lack of transparency and pricing. I ordered the custom pizza and nowhere on your menu does it State you would be charged for each topping you order. It clearly says start by choosing your cheese and then your toppings. I even asked the bartender does this include any of the toppings I choose and she stated yes. So I ordered the pizza and that you can clearly see on my receipt I was charged for each and every topping on top of the price of the pizza. No way in the world it was worth that kind of money. The other issue with pricing is on your beers. $12 for a small draft? You have to be kidding! Average ipas for this size I can get almost anywhere aside from a concert or the airport for 7 to $8. This should have been clearly posted on the menu. I'm sure a popular comeback is well you should have asked but as a customer you shouldn't have to. This made for a completely terrible experience when I received my receipt to see I had been charged over $50 for a $25 meal. Beware before you go if you do. Be sure to ask for complete price transparency in anything that you order. No way I would ever come back to this place at these ridiculous prices.

CF McCarthys never disappoints. From the minute you walk in you are greeted by Felix who always accommodating to all guests who enter. Brittany behind the bar is always pleasant and knows how to pour a Guinness just perfect. I go every year for my traditional St. Patricks day meal Corned beef and cabbage. The corn beef is prepared perfect and the cabbage and carrots and potatoes are delicious with a nice pint of Guinness to follow. Their entertainment traditional Irish music rounds out your dining experience. I’ve had their house cheeseburger which is sublime and perfect fries. Today I tried the 2 Lamb Lollipops on a bed of arugula salad. Perfection. Followed by Brittanys suggestion a huge chocolate chip cookie in a warmed skillet topped with vanilla ice cream drizzled with hot fudge with whip cream and cherry on top. With a hot cup of fresh coffee. Thank you Brittany it was delicious! If your looking for a chef that dreams up exotic combos to delight any ones appetite. Accompanied by a warm and friendly staff and atmosphere. Drop on down to CF McCarthys Canton gem of a place.

Food Was Excellent,Great Portions ,and Very Reasoanable Prices. Nice Drink Selection. Service by Bar Staff "Amaka" was was Friendly Professional and Gracious With Great Sense of Humor -The Simone Biles of McCarthys -A Gold Medal !! Ambiance very casual but comfortable -music a bit loud but DJ kept it entertaining and interesting with Trivia and Song Bingo -My 35 year old Daughter had a ball. Will be back :))

Came here for lunch on a Monday- Food was AMAZING. Everything came out HOT and sooo good. Love this place def coming here again.

The reason I wanted to come by was because of their dessert selection, but my boyfriend and I decided we get small plates too. Service was a little slow, but we did show at a later time when the staff was a bit preoccupied with the drinking crowd, understandably so. Surprisingly enough, the drinking crowd around the bar which is most of the restaurant wasn't loud to the point we couldn't converse with each other which was nice. The drinks were delicious and came out quick. So did the food, but heres where the last star for this review got knocked off. The fish tacos were absolutely delicious. They were so good I wanted to order another order togo. But the nachos were not it. I bet they are typically good, and the toppings were loaded on top which is always a good sign for a nacho plate, but the buffalo chicken for whatever reason did not taste up to par. Something was off, there was a taste to it that I can't quite explain but it was almost like the pan they used for the chicken was used for something prior and they just didn't clean it because again, it just had some taste going on that was just not it. Not to mention, my boyfriend who ordered it is a spice enthusiast, and he didn't even get a buffalo flavor. Aside from that hiccup though, we will definitely be returning!

You feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The staff is extremely nice and the food is amazing. I had the shortrib grilled cheese sandwich. I don't think I will be able to ever get anything else because it was so delicious! The wait staff was right on everything. Very impressed!

After placing our drink orders, we were excited to try the nachos, pretzels and pizza (which were all recommended to us), but only when we shared our order did the waitress mention their oven was down, so the nachos, pizza and pretzels weren't available. We would have left and come back, but we already had our drinks, so we decided to stay. We ordered garlic parm wings and the short rib grilled cheese. 8 wings with no celery, carrots or blue cheese was $14. We did request a side of blue cheese which ended up being no more than a tablespoon and a 50 cent charge. While the wings had decent flavor, they weren't very crispy. The grilled cheese had a generous portion of meat and the onion rings were tasty. I ate what looked like a small onion ring, but ended up being a piece of fried fish, which was a bit of a surprise. It's a cute spot right in downtown Canton and has a great bar area to watch a game. Perhaps we went on an off night, but not sure we'll be back.

Stopped by for lunch with some colleagues. The food was delicious and the service was great. Seems like a great place to stop by after work and have a beer or two.

I walked in to meet up with friends as I was intrigued by other YELPER'S reviews. One of my friends was already sitting on a high top with a table in front of her that we both believed was going to be to small. While waiting for our other friend to join we ordered the clili lime wings and Pretzel w/ dipping sauce. Did I mention that we had a most fabulous waitress E My friend arrived in time to enjoy the apps. BTW we were fine with our table that quite comfortably held two beverages per person and our food.

We've come here many times before and the food never disappoints. Today we had their fried pickles, dumplings, smokehouse burger, Fuji salad and bacon cheese burger and they were all 10/10. The place is very quaint and has a good local atmosphere for a quick drink or a dine in spot!

Meet up with some friends here and had a wonderful time! We were all arriving at different times and the staff was more than accommodating about that! Our waitress was excellent. She had an incredible memory and didn't have to write anything down. Not to mention, she was very attentive and friendly too. When I entered, I didn't know what to expect with the food and I was very happy with my meal. I ordered the power bowl, and my friends ordered pizza/fries. Everyone enjoyed their food. After we finished eating, we went to the bar to enjoy a few drinks! We never felt rushed the entire time we were there, and the staff continuously checked in if we needed anything! As for parking, there is limited street parking that we were able to find! I'm not sure if there is more behind the building as it is on a busy main road

Great food ! Service was thoughtful and quick. It was nice and causal for a Sunday night, music was at a good volume to have conversations.

First time visiting C.F. McCarty's. Some friends and I decided to stop by for lunch and I can say the food and drinks were pretty good. We ordered 2 expresso martini (can't remember the price), garlic wings ( $14), pichana wedge salad with steak ($32), house burger with cheese and fried egg ($19), kids mac and cheese ($9). The reason why I'm rating it a four is because my kid did not like the mac and cheese, i tried it, it was very bland no flavor. My kid didn't eat it. When I was asked if there were any thing wrong with the mac and cheese, I informed the waitress and nothing was done about, nothing new was offered and it was not removed from the bill. Other than the mac and cheese. Every thing else was pretty good especially the martini

First time here and couldn't think of a reason to go less than 5 stars. The burger and short rib grilled cheese were both top notch. Our server was super friendly and helpful. Ambiance was typical Irish pub style. Will definitely be back to try other items off the menu.

The wings were so good, we got a second order! The manager came by the table to make sure we were happy and the staff was all on top of their game. It was crowded but not jammed. Good food and good fun. Can't wait to go back. Thanks.

This place was really good! Their special cocktails are incredible, you can't really go wrong with any. They're sweet and unique. I am only giving 4 stars because I wasn't impressed with one of the entrees we got--the hunters chicken pasta dish. It was a bit too spicy and didn't have anything too exciting. The pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente and the cheese was good. The CF Mac pizza was bomb though. I drowned it with Parmesan cheese and loved every bite. I wish there were more short rib so the flavor can pop a little more. Overall good place. Parking on the street. Ample space inside. Friendly staff.

Went for lunch and sat at the bar. Brittney aka Belinda was our bartender. She was great!! Our drinks were delicious and the short rib grilled cheese was amazing!!! Can't wait to go back!!

First, the bar stools were very uncomfortable! Second, I have never eaten in a place so LOUD...I mean so loud, I couldn't carry on a conversation with the person I was with. The food was just okay. On a positive note, our bartender was a ray of sunshine... beautiful smile!! Don't know her name but she had black hair!! This atmosphere is probably fine for some but definitely not what this Senior was looking for... Won't be back!!

I was pleasantly surprised by the food and drinks here! This is a dive bar with a very good lunch menu. The vibe is still very much dive bar but the food and cocktails I ordered were really tasty! It doesn't look like much but If you're looking to grab lunch in the area I would definitely recommend. The short rib grilled cheese came with a delicious au jus and the meet was really well cooked. I also had the power bowl which had a nice dressing as well. And the boozy iced coffee was sooo incredible! The homemade whipped cream was divine

We just finished dinner & drinks. We both order The smokehouse burger and it was Excellent - loaded with flavor! Erin was the bar tender this evening and she was Great keeping-the-flow-going with patrons who came and left throughout the nite. This is a Locals place for all of the right reasons! We'll be back.

Wonderful pub with friendly service, a great selection of food, and a warm and inviting ambiance! The pizza was crisp and delicious and was the perfect bite for a cold evening!

C.F. McCarthy's is the greatest bar in Canton for multiple reasons. First off as soon as you walk in the door you're greeted with in very friendly manner from everyone from the dishwasher all the way to the managers who are always walking around and talking with customers. Secondly no matter what you order off the menu you know it's going to be great. Even late night when they switch to limited menu items. Lastly the atmosphere is super cozy and you never know who you are going to meet. Highly recommend weather you're going out to dinner or stopping in for a late night beer.

This will be my SECOND 5 Star review. My wife suggested we spend my 50th birthday at CF Mccarthys for Brunch. Best decision ever. From the time we entered, smiles and greetings from the entire staff. I salute you all... from the Hostess, (Hi Amy! ) to the waitstaff (see you again soon Amaka!) , bartender to the chefs in the back and even The General Manager. You are all stellar and show how to run a great spot with grace. Food and drinks are always fabulous. Can't wait to come back. You all always make us feel at home. Thank you for making my 50th birthday one to remember. Bless each and every one of you!!

Food was good - drinks sucks( shots- straight ) . Service was good , friendly happy environment. If your a connoisseur. I wouldn't go here . Ordered 6 shots of drinks at 22$ a shot . The shots wasn't what it was . Im gonna leave it at that . Ya need to at lease give what they pay for . Still making money. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice . Hope they fix that . Its messed up . Im gonna give it a 5 star for the girl and the servers that worked hard . Maybe in the future it be better .

From the moment I stepped in the door-everyone was very pleasant & accommodating. It was a hot Sunday afternoon, I asked if I could sit near the window. Not a problem, the windows were open with a nice breeze, plus the restaurant was comfortably cool. I asked for coffee, water & glass of ice. The server could not have been nicer! I had the egg white frittata w/tomatoes, spinach & cotija cheese. Dish came with a nice selection of very fresh fruit. Everything was so good! Perfect meal for a warm day. My only suggestion is they should add some gluten free items. Well worth the ride from Quincy!

Good people, fun atmosphere, and great service. The beer list was legit and they had a lot of really cool entrees to choose from including a ton of different healthy bowls with fresh quality ingredients. Will be back, let em know Rick sent you.

Great local pub with great brunch! Strong staff and great drinks. Good to hang with a great group and catch a Red Sox game.

If you're in search of a slightly grungy but homey spot, this is the place for you. Staff were super friendly, attentive, and accommodating to our large group that strolled in for brunch. Hard to please everyone in a group of 9, but everyone left very satisfied with their meals and cocktails.

Not sure how this place is consistently getting 4/5 star reviews. It's good--not great. Local watering hole in the center of Canton, Mass. I sat at the bar and ordered off the dinner menu. The bar was crowded and extremely loud. I ordered the tuna tacos (pictured). The flavor was relatively good but the sear on the tuna was not uniform and the seaweed salad base layer made for a very chewy consistency. On a positive note, the bartenders were excellent and working VERY hard. Decent wine list as well.

Recently spent another wonderful lunch at C. F. McCarthy's. Every time we come to town we always have to get something to eat at C. F.. McCarthy's. The food is delicious and the staff is just so friendly. Hopefully the owners know how wonderful their staff is!!

I made reservations at 11:30am for 2, we got seated on time, waitress was friendly, brought the food in reasonable time, we were able to finish brunch but just barely, they asked if we were ready for the check and let us know they had another reservation for our table at 12:15p, I didn't get to finish my coffee, felt rushed and uneasy. Not a very effective system to reserve the same table for numerous customers and asking them to leave the table in less than 60 minutes. Ive been to this pub numerous times but I was very disappointed today and most likely won't return, bad service.

Have been there probably 100 times. Moved to Canton in 2019 and probably go there at least once a week. The Bartender Erin is excellent, recently under new management and they seem to have upped their game, always good quality all around. Fun, Irish bar, friendly, locals go there, everybody knows everybody. Excellent food, just a fun place to go. very good draft beer collection, from regional breweries along with a great selection of whiskeys. Late night menu until I think around 1130.

We were in town for a hockey game and setup here with friends. The service was great. I love the team approach! The food was very good. I had the Lobster Ravioli. There were three to four things that really enticed me so I will be returning here again.

Super small but super delicious! The burgers were awesome and we tried almost every app they had. The fried pickles are not what you would imagine, but if you really like pickles and not just the breading, I highly recommend them. Of course the chicken fingers and the pretzel was delicious, but I will go back for another juicy flavorful burger.

It's a bar setting right in downtown Canton. The waitress was very nice. I had wings and they were good and a Malibu pineapple and cranberry.

Burnt Fish and Chip! I was a return customer, I had it once before and it was good.This why 2 stars instead of 1. I ordered ahead for takeout, and was so upset they actually gave this to me. It gave the burnt smell, I'm so glad I opened it in the car. Then the hostess gave so much attitude as if I was wrong for asking for my money back. At first I was told they couldn't give me my money, but I asked to escalate. The Manager came to the front, with zero apology returned the money to my card, and turned back to go to the kitchen. No regards to my wasted time, and the fact that I still needed dinner! So sad. I would've given another chance if I weren't treated so carelessly. Needless to say, I won't be returning. Ended up at Runner's Pizza in Stoughton, they were so nice and food was great!

The wait staff and bartender were fabulous. The atmosphere was ok, lots of smiles from waitress, and hostess was accommodating. We (party of 3) asked to be moved from the bar to a table and it was no problem. The food on the other hand was just ok, and at these prices, that's not ok. I ordered the "grass fed rib eye tips" . The owner or manager are perpetrating an out and out bait and switch on this one. My order of tips came out slightly warm, and drenched in some drab boring tasteless sauce called "sweet bourbon glaze". These tips WERE NOT rib eye tips. I'm not even sure they are sirloin tips. I know "steak tips" is a generic term and could be meat from any of several cuts. But if you're going to call them "rib eye" tips, they should come from the rib area, where rib eye steak comes from. My suspicion was confirmed by an employee, I don't want to get them in trouble, so I can't say who. I sent the order back and was given another item, which was overcooked. I ordered the black rice, was undercooked and like eating sand, the spinach was the best thing we had. They know their not serving rib eye quality tips, just take it off the menu. Either the chef or the manger owes everyone that's ever ordered this an apology. Would not recommend. Seriously, I don't know where all these 5 star rating come from. Service

I like CF McCarthy's but the menu is very limited. Mainly sandwiches from what I remember. It is a bar and grill. I must admit I have only dined there one time and that was awhile ago.

This was an amazing find. The food was fresh and delicious and the beers on tap were great. Our server was attentive and friendly and made the visit even better. We are from out of town and this was a great find that we would definitely visit again when in the area.

We really enjoyed the outdoor seating set up here directly outside the entrance to the restaurant in some parking spots. There's an overhead tent which kept us protected from a rainstorm plus two very large heaters. Seating is at picnic tables that are well spaced between parties. Our waitress was fabulous! Super upbeat, friendly and forthright in her recommendations. We enjoyed several beers as well as a delicious Thanksgiving themed sandwich and some nachos. The Thanksgiving sandwich with cranberry aioli was superb. I'd go back just for this sandwich in the outdoor seating. The nachos we found to be subpar with chips that seemed kind of stale, but oh well, everything else was great. We will definitely be returning here. Excellent spot for outdoor dining!
