Where to Eat Around the University of California at Irvine (UCI) | Eater LA

"Cha for Tea is one of the most beloved boba spots in Orange County and for good reason. With refreshing teas and drinks that are highly customizable with the toppings, fruit flavors, sweetness, cream and milk additions, and the amount of ice, both the fruity and milk-based beverage offerings run the gamut. The crispy chicken makes for a fantastic accompaniment, while diners also frequently order dumplings, beef stew, and curry chicken from the food menu." - Cathy Park

Google
I love that they have various milk options. I would however say that the default on the peach green tea milk tea was five pumps of sweetener, which was way too much for me personally. Points off for the straw being a paper straw and the lid being like a dixie cup sort of lid and not that satisfying bubble tea portable sealed plastic that you get to satisfyingly stab which I'm sure is a side effect of the weak paper straw. I ordered bubble tea. of course I want to stab something. I'm really disappointed that I don't get to. Also, I kind of wanted to wait out the traffic here. There were two open tables inside but they were both dirty covered in sauce and/or tea. I grabbed some napkins and tried to wipe one of them down but whatever it was was too sticky and half dried on the table and so I couldn't get it clean enough to want to sit there. The upholstery is kind of beat up too so it wasn't looking super inviting. All that said, if I'm headed out of Long Beach on another occasion I'll probably stop here and order with no sweetener, to go, and I actually typically have at least one random boba straw in the car...

Google
Food is solid and all but to get a to go order in this box and the chicken be thrown into a bag and now my rice stuck to bag, could've give me the normal plastic container I'd get without having my rice stuck to paper bag yall did me dirty this time around

Google
I can't believe this place doesn't have a higher rating! Such good food for so cheap! It's healthy, delicious, and easy on the stomach. I had the Japanese curry with Chai, and it didn't disappoint. My boyfriend had crispy tofu with brown sugar bubble tea, and it was the smoothest, creamiest bubble tea he had ever had. I tried it too, and I can vouch for it. I can't recommend this place enough.

Google
Packed in the weekend. The boba was a hit. Brien sugar tea boba. Perfection. Warm and cold, chunks of sugar, sweetened perfectly. The food was terrible. The chicken was overcooked and tough. The crispy chicken was almost not edible, like little chunks of leather. The dipping sauce wasn't too good either. I'd recommend skipping the food and having the delicious boba.

Google
Very disappointed in this establishment. There were 7 of us and only one person enjoyed their drink - which was maybe because that person was the only person to order a cold tea. Convinced that the staff did not know how to make hot drinks. They were served to us very very late (multiple people behind us in line received their drinks well ahead of us and we still were waiting even when there was no line and no one in the shop). When we did receive our hot drinks they were not even hot anymore, and didn’t even taste that good. The staff offered to microwave our drinks for us but the experience was already ruined by then.

Google
Love the Jasmine milk tea, mango green tea, almond tea... also really like their chicken salad. If you like Boba, they make it fresh there so you shouldn't get the off-texture ones.

Google
Cha For Tea was a nice find! Great to get your milk tea fix in addition to grabbing a quick bite. I originally came to only try their chai tea milk tea w/ boba, but I ended up getting their brown sugar boba drink (which did not disappoint) AND trying one of their popular meals: their orange chicken with rice & corn. The dish also came with a small side salad which was a nice addition for the price. It's a perfect little meal that is very filling. The boba was great, with the right amout of softness & sweetness. The staff is helpful and efficient- I've been twice now and each time there was a line but I barely noticed the wait! This spot is worth a visit if you're in the area and you love boba.

What not to like? Have milk teas and snack entres, wifi, work station and dining. Mostly college students since it's across CSULB. Nice staff, some sample teas at the counter. My fav grab and go food is popcorn chicken.

Yelp
Great Tea Shop! In addition to drinks, they serve food! A lot of great drinks on their menu, milk teas and others. I ordered three drinks to go. Matcha Latte with Boba, Passionfruit Refresher with Boba (very refreshing!), and a strawberry smoothie. Ww all.enjoyed our drinks! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The drinks were made very quickly. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Cha for Tea has a special place in my heart. There used to be a location near me, but now I have to make a drive just to have this nostalgic experience. I was in the area and this is my first time visiting this location in Long Beach. I came an hour before closing time and I must say this location is smelly from the parking lot all the way to the entrance. Not sure if it's from wastewater. I tolerated the awful scent, just for Iced apple green tea, Iced almond black milk tea with boba and crispy chicken medium spicy. The flavor is still the same all these years and I can only hope someone will open a location near me again.

Yelp
Drink: I ordered this at the recommended of the server. I didn't love it and won't order it again. But I would love to return and try another tea. Service: quick. by the time I finished paying, my order was ready. Ambiance: busy. especially during the lunch hour.

Yelp
Very cute small place opposite the VA hospital. Great Boba and tea. Friendly service and decent price. I tried the crispy chicken spicy with rice, noodles and corn. The chicken was quite good, crunchy and tasty.

Yelp
I was late to pick up my DoorDash order and they r soo awesome and remade my drink!!!! Thank you guys!! Such great service!!!

Yelp
One of my favorite places for boba. I like the honey green milk tea and my friend likes the almond milk tea. Would recommend if u have not had. Cheap prices too. Would not get popcorn chicken. Overall staff nice and nice place to come late night for drinks
google avatar

Yelp
Food: This is a place I'd come by if I was in the area and hungry, not somewhere I'd venture out to. The milk teas have an artificial taste to them, matcha tasted very diluted. The food isn't bad just not great. I do enjoy the orange tofu plate with noodles and veggies. Parking: This cha for tea is located in a shopping plaza with multiple other food places/shops so parking is convenient. Service: Service is good and quick, food comes out at a reasonable time. Ambiance: Very casual vibes, next to the VA hospital so lots of hospital staff who come to grab to go food. Not the nicest area, several homeless individuals around this shipping plaza.

Yelp
Cha for Tea might be a little nostalgic as it was something that I used to pick up years and years ago when studying as an undergraduate. It's still a favorite of mine. My go to drink here is the honey jasmine milk tea with boba. The honey is the perfect sweetener, the balance between milk and tea is perfect, and the boba is perfectly chewy. I love that the warm boba is consistently chewy every time I come. Their popcorn chicken is also a great snack and I can't resist buying it. If I'm in the area, I almost always stop by here for a drink. I definitely stop by if I'm in my old stomping grounds in Irvine. It definitely is one of my favorite spots for a tapioca milk tea.

Yelp
I used to come here literally 20 years ago when I was in college and they reliably had the best Almond Milk Tea. Life brought me to different parts of CA and since moving back, I tried a few other boba spots. Nothing I ever had anywhere else really compared. The kids and I had some time to kill so we stopped in. 20 + years later.... Still the best. My kids got two of the other non-caffeine options and they were delicious! I'm definitely sticking with this shop from now on.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and the boba is amazing every time. The employees are always nice and friendly. There are a few good seats inside and it is a great environment for talking with friends. Something I've always liked about Cha For Tea is you can sample a few of their drinks before ordering!

Yelp
I have been going to Cha For Tea for years, and recently made a visit again. I was pleasantly surprised that they are still maintaining the same quality drinks and service. Cha for Tea is an amazing boba spot for many reasons. They don't go toooo fancy like those "handcrafted high quality etc etc" boba shops with $7-8 specialty drinks but they have a huge variety of delicious drinks that you can choose from. They also have samples of their most popular drinks sometimes so you can try to see if there's something you like before ordering it. I do believe their drinks are on the sweeter side so I always opt to do less pumps than normal. Additionally, they serve snacks and even full meals; I'm a fan of their popcorn chicken! All of my interactions with their customer service has been friendly and they are always open to helping customers with making any adjustments. I also love that Cha For Tea hosts fundraisers, we love businesses that are helping the community!
google avatar

Tracy N.

Yelp
One of my go to spots because the honey green milk tea is very refreshing and doesn't have that powdery taste at all. Definitely on the sweeter side though so I would adjust that if you prefer a stronger tea flavor and less sweetness Also didn't get a picture but we got the popcorn chicken which is always super good There's also a decent amount of seating if you and your friends want to sit and hang out for a bit

Yelp
I come here for the hot teas (the iced teas hit the spot as well especially in the warmer months). Something not easily known just by the name is food. Yes, they have a nice little menu of food items. Chicken, pork and beef options. I like the crispy chicken plate. The chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's pair well with some sweet and sour sauce. Add some sides like rice and a salad and you're all set. The service is friendly and the place is clean. Located in a chill small shopping area with plenty of parking.

Yelp
I was in Long Beach by the VA center and went back to Cha for another perfectly made chai boba tea and decided to eat lunch there also. The menu is right there on the wall as you walk in. Healthy light options of Asian favorites very fairly priced. I ordered the vegetarian plate option with crispy fried tofu, corn, a house salad with a really tasty sesame seed dressing and I chose the garlic noodles, which were delicious. The young girl taking my order was really nice and helpful. They sell boxed teas and cute anime' type stuffed toys there and the whole place just has such a good vibe. Seating both inside and on the sidewalk outside. I would rate Cha a star above.

Yelp
This Sunday evening brought us to Cha For Tea. A favorite of my GF who is an CSULB Alumni. It was busy for the dinner rush hour but the staff and service were top tier, appreciate the fast service. The food was good!

Yelp
This place is really close to my work so I've been here twice (first with a friend and then by myself). For my first meal I tried their Crispy Chicken ($11) which came with rice or noodles, corn and salad. We took this to go and sat outside just in case we had to rush back to work. I remember thinking this was just okay - Everything was just okay in taste. Nothing was too salty, the corn didn't seem like there was sugar sprinkled on top of it. But I do remember thinking that the plate they put it in was way bigger than the portion size. I recently tried their Beef Stew ($13) which comes with rice or noodles, salad and corn. I got mine with rice and also thought this was just okay. There was a lot of meat for a small meal, but the taste was very plain. Not a lot of salt, but not a whole lot of flavor. Both times I didn't order a drink because I'm trying to cut back on sugar. The service was great though, the cashier were nice and patient while I was figuring out what I wanted. Parking is in a big lot but can get full during lunch hours. There are a fairly good amount of seats inside and some outside.

Yelp
Made a quick stop by this Cha for Tea location and the drinks and food were good and consistent with what I had in the past. Almond Milk Tea and Mango Green Tea were my favorites. The Honey Green Milk Tea was pretty good also. Their drinks were a bit sweet, so I got fewer pumps of sweetener and the drinks were still delicious. Their crispy chicken was good, but their sweet and sour sauce was meh. If you've been to other boba places, you'll know what I'm talking about. Crispy chicken is usually paired with this sweet and spicy sauce that just enhances the chicken flavor. Cha's sauce was just underwhelming. It's too bad they never upgraded it. Still, the chicken was good on its own so I'd still get it.

Yelp
Seeing Cha for Tea in Long Beach brought me happy memories of my time at one near UC Irvine. While there was a sample before, this location boasts FOUR different teas to sample. My favorite (as it was before) has always been their almond milk tea, and I'm glad to have seen it at the top of their list. Their thai tea is chef's kiss, but it is usually too sweet for me. Their mango green tea was also sweet and enjoyable, but I found their peach black tea to be too sweet. Of course, their sweetness is adjustable, and I settled with a half sweet almond milk tea, leaving a happy camper! A big plus is that they even have indoor seating - perfect for small study sessions or meetups with friends.

Yelp
I come here every so often for a quick pick me up. You'll find that a lot of the employees from Long Beach VA frequent this place for their lunch! It's not exactly quiet in the establishment but it's also not obnoxiously loud - I have seen people use laptops in this establishment to get some work done while they eat their lunch. I usually order the popcorn chicken appetizer with extra spicy option. It's not as spicy as I would prefer and tastes more like a mild spicy to me to be honest. I wish it was spicier haha! Some people I know have tried the entrees but still feel that the appetizers are better. I do often see others ordering the entrees though. Can't speak for the other entrees but the popcorn chicken itself is not dry and is quite tasty. Customer service seems to be quick and efficient as well. Would recommend this place if you're looking to grab something fast and don't have a lot of time on your hands.

Yelp
Not as good as it was 20 years ago when it first opened, the vibe is not the same and the menus change way too much too much was cut off and the food changed the taste like the noodles still one of the best items on there, but the cilantro is missing now The toast spreads they used to have is gone used to have a cheese on a sweet one and a buttery one with jam from a rating from one to five. It's about a two now.

Yelp
I've been going to cha for tea since 2013 in Irvine. All of their tea drinks are soooooooooooo delicious !!!!!! The young lady passing out to go orders today before 2 was such a sweetheart. Keep being your beautiful self, don't let the world ever dim your light x3

Yelp
I come here for a little snack in between classes as it's so conveniently located super close to csulb campus! Drinks and food are pretty good and decently priced. Everything comes out pretty fast as well and the workers are always so sweet :) It's a cute little place to hangout with friends and/or get some studying done!

Yelp
Definitely one of the best quality boba places I've had! My friends and I got here at 1:30pm on a Saturday and there wasn't a wait at all! I got a medium iced peach black tea with boba. It was delicious and so refreshing! My boyfriend got the caramel milk latte. Their boba is so warm and soft. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Alright first off, Cha for Tea is suUuper nostalgic for me. Back in the day (LOL), I used to frequent the one right by UCI, and coming to this location is like a flashback haha. At first, I wasn't sure if it was the same chain but yeah.. it is.. I stopped by after lunch on Fri, Jan 19, 2024 at around 1:50 PM. My order, I decided to go with the classics: +Large Almond Black Milk Tea - Reg Sweet (5 pumps), Less Ice $5.00 -- I have not ordered an almond milk tea in a hot minute so I was pretty excited to try it. Hmm.. it was aiight. The almond nor milk tea flavor wasn't that strong. I would have been okay with it but this drink (in particular) tasted TAP WATER-y. I'm pretty sensitive to tap water tastes, so I could taste this in the drink in particular. I was a little disappointed with this one though. +Large Lychee Green Tea - Reg Sweet (5 pimps), Less Ice $5.25 -- I got this one to go for my husband who enjoys lychee green teas, but I got to share some with him lol. This one was good. It's a simple drink, basically green tea with pumps of lychee syrup, but boy, does it still hit the spot. This one did not taste like tap water. Samples: One thing I love about this place is that they have a section on the side that is a self-serve sample section. I haven't encountered many places that offer this and I remember that the other locations would provide this for people in line or near their store. There's mango green tea, peach mint refresher, almond milk tea, and honey green milk tea. I got to try the mango green tea and peach mint refresher - both solid drinks! I preferred the fruitier tea drinks to the almond milk tea that I ordered for myself. The samples did not taste like tap water. Customer Service: The girl who helped me was meh. She wasn't that nice or friendly. I mean I didn't have high expectations. I asked if they had any sort of rewards or stamp cards, and she shot me down so fast haha. So no, they don't. Parking: Not the greatest. Lots of spots, but the rows are small. I saw more spots towards the back so if you're one to care about your car, that's an option! I'll come back. Not the greatest experience tbh but this is one of the closest boba locations to CSULB ..so I'll be back LOL. Hopefully, I get a better drink next time - not tap water-esque.

Yelp
Wow! The vibe here is for sure TGIF! I'm glad I stopped by today for Brunch. The first impression is, Oohh, nice. The feeling inside was definitely alive. Partay!!! Calvin, who took my order, was awesome! Talking about customer service and being informative. He definitely knows his stuff. Very helpful and full good energy. Thanks, Calvin, for sharing your " Mojo." Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, Drink: 1. LRG ROASTED BROWN SUGAR MILK LATTE In-house brewed black milk tea served over freshly cooked brown sugar Boba. With 3x RBS pump of "get you upper" and soy milk as replacement from regular milk, for the never-ending seat grabber at the solitary. Main: 1. CRISPY CHICKEN #1 Seller! Crispy crunchy outside and juicy tender inside. Choose no spicy to very spicy. 2. CRISPY CHICKEN DUMPLINGS DUMPLING Chicken and vegetable dumplings served with choice of Sweet & Sour Sauce or House Blend Soy Sauce. Oh wow, amazing! It was very tasty and delicious. The crispy chicken was definitely crispy and well dry sauce with that spicy level preferred. Heck yea! Turn down for what, let's go. The dumplings are crispy, soft, and yummy. Just a bit of sauce, you off to a great start. Talking about the Roasted Brown Sugar Milk Latte, unbelievable. I normally don't order other than my usual Vietnamese coffee. Today was different. This popular drink is a must. The amount of RBS and Brown Sugar with Soy Milk just made it perfect for my taste bud. It's definitely a popular choice. I definitely recommend this location due to their outstanding customer service experience. Very clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is spacious and easy access. They have a restroom for your convenience. This place is unique in their own way, from design and presentation, it's pretty nice. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi. Enjoy it here or on the go. Share your experience. P.s. Don't forget to smile cause you're beautiful. SYOY!

Yelp
This place is packed on a Friday night at 10:30 pm. It was filled with college students since cal state is right there. There is free wifi. There was actually a line when I went. They do have restrooms and a parking lot. Although, there isn't a lot of seating. It was pretty loud in there too. I got the Lychee Black Tea (Medium) Mango Black Tea (Medium). The lychee black tea tastes more of the black tea than the lychee syrup and the aloe jelly was too soft and soggy. The mango black tea was floral taste and the lychee jelly was pretty good. The boba was pretty cheap for $4.75. This boba doesn't blow me away at all.
google avatar

Caramia B.

Yelp
Got a mango green tea with the standard sweetness & my drink was extremely watered down on 04/21/25 at approximately 9pm This place is not what it used to be & the quality of drinks is unreliable

Hannah H.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I walked in 20 minutes before they closed just to see if they were open, and they kept the kitchen open for us last customers :D the cashier was so sweet. There were a few people still inside as well, it seems like a nice spot to hang out. The Chai milk tea boba is SOO GOOOD. It's surprisingly not too sweet either. BOBA IS FRESHHH. I got the turmeric ginger tea, I haven't tried it yet because it's actually hot lol, most places serve it to you lukewarm so I am impressed.
google avatar

Rose L.

Yelp
I love ordering from this place when I'm craving a mango green tea! It's close to work, but not quite close enough for a quick drive, so I usually order through DoorDash. Their boba is always cooked to perfection, and I've noticed their popcorn chicken has improved over time. I've been ordering from them for the past three years, and today, the chicken tasted the best it ever has.
google avatar

Ariana C.

Yelp
Yummy! They cook the boba so well and I applaud them for being open late. The menu is limited, but I LOVE how specific you can get with customization. Overall, a great stop!
google avatar

Titan N.

Yelp
Spent only 5 minutes here to pick up an Almond Milk Tea. The drink was gone in another 5 minutes... I do recommend getting less sweet if you usually do, as it was perfect for me after that. Not much to say about the place itself other than that there are quite a few tables for y'all. Get the Almond Milk Tea~
google avatar

Kathy L.

Yelp
Honestly still my favorite boba place after all these years. I switch up my drinks from mango green tea to occasionally honey green milk tea. I love how they have samples before you order cause sometimes I'll go without knowing what I want atm. They are also the only place I know that'll do half boba and charge for half the price of the add on as well. Good drink at a good price point!
google avatar

Christopher W.

Yelp
Excellent boba milk teas and entrees which are filling for the price. Attracts lots of college students because of its proximity to Long Beach state but wide age range of customers due to its location.

Yelp
First time visitors to this place Located not to far from csulb - major plus for being open until 1130pm pending day holiday etc Parking is in a shopping plaza with a few eateries and a target near by. Orders can be placed online pending location Food options are available from small bites to actual meals - very similar to a Tastetea but lesser options Drink pricing seemed anywhere from $4 to $6 depending size type and if including some type of add on Nice to see options for non caffeinated drinks as well Signature drinks are available on the website as well as adjusting sweetener levels Opted for the lychee black tea with tapioca and regular sweetness - if order again will let a less sweetener - the tapioca were cooked well and did not get rock hard from staying in the cold beverage and even when left overnight in the fridge, consistency still remain - lychee flavor was prominent Great spot for studying, group activity, date night, seem family friendly as well too. There apparently diff flavors through the day that may be available to try as well. Can get loud but fun and laid back atmosphere. Service was efficient and straight forward, all the questions asked and onward to the next Certainly a spot to return to try other drinks and small bites!

Allison N.

Yelp
Nice place but slow service. Can get dirty. People are alright. Food is ok. Place is convenient

Yelp
3.5 round up. Thai tea was average.. it was missing the depth of Thai tea that I usually seek in a good Thai tea. Popcorn chicken was also palatable.. not bad but nothing to write home about. No basil, just chicken but tasty. Service was great, people were nice. They have a tiny section where they sell loose leaf tea and a couple of cute boba stuffies. Plenty of parking and shares parking lot with target by the VA Hospital. If you are in the area and just want a quick crispy chicken lunch with tea.. this place will satisfy.
google avatar

Christine T.

Yelp
Since moving to Long Beach, this has been my go-to boba spot. It's near me and their jasmine milk tea with boba is great. The popcorn chicken is also really good. Boba Guys is nearby too, but honestly, Cha for Tea just hits different
google avatar

Nicole Y.

Yelp
I've tried a lot of boba spots and this place is on of the better spots I've tried. I ordered the matcha latte and it was tasty. It's not the best matcha boba I've had but still good. I haven't tried their food here before, but if you want boba and something quick to eat, this is the place to go. There service was quick even during lunch hours. I would come back again.
google avatar

Loren V.

Yelp
Just tried their almond milk tea! It's so good. They have 4 teas you can try and sample so I did as I picked up my order! I used to eat here all the time and their crunchy chicken is so delicious! I would go here if I were you! Yummy!

Yelp
This place is addicting. Let me start by prefacing and warning that the line is out the door no matter what time you stop by. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Is it going to keep you from coming back? Never. Cha for tea is one of the fondest places in Long Beach for me. I went to CSULB and will always stop by the place even if I don't go there anymore. The mango green tea is truly amazing. There's something about the ingredients. The tea has to be from out of this county or even out of this world. The mango used is an unknown brand but it's perfect and doesn't taste artificially. As for customer service, it's a pay at the counter and pick up on the other side pretty much like Starbucks. The cashiers will never move from their spot, and they always provide great service but it's not the best in business or the reason people return. It's the tea that brings people back. Parking is not that easy, believe it or not. Although it is in a plaza strip mall, there's always tons of people at this area. Great part of Long Beach, but you'll be driving a while finding somewhere to park your car. If you get the chance to stop by I do recommend it. Try the mango green tea and any of their appetizers. Absolutely delicious!

Yelp
Cha for tea has always been a boba staple for me ever since my time at UCI, and its flavors still hold true to this day! Located right across from CSULB, Cha for Tea is a popular boba spot for those looking for a fruity drink and a side of popcorn chicken after class! Since it is located in the same plaza as Target and several other establishments, the parking lot can get quite busy, but you should be able to find a parking spot fairly easily. 7th street (the road from the 22 west freeway exit) can also get really packed so it might take sometime to get through the traffic before you reach the plaza. When you walk inside you'll notice that there are some students doing work on the tables, others enjoying their drinks with some company, and an overall bustling environment. There's ample seating available inside of the cafe with large enough tables to set up your laptop and equipment should you choose to do so. When I was ordering my drink, the cashier was very friendly with us and offered us her recommendations when my boyfriend was trying to pick between different teas, as well as her suggestions for any adjustments. We ended up getting the mango green tea full sweetness with boba and the honey green tea 3 pumps (sweetener) with boba. I always love getting their mango green tea because it's so refreshing and fruity, but you can still taste the green tea flavor! I also always prefer my milk teas, so the splash of milk to the tea creates a creamy consistency as well. My boyfriend thought that the honey green tea was still a little sweet for him even with the adjusted amounts of pumps (3 instead of 5 pumps for a large), but he doesn't enjoy too sweet things so bare that in mind. Regardless, he loved his tea and again applauded the fact that he could truly taste the tea itself as well. Cha for Tea is known for their fruit teas and their almond or honey teas, so if you're stumped on what to get I always recommend one of those! We also ended up getting their popcorn chicken with medium spice and that meal always hits the spot. It was perfectly crunchy with the perfect amount of spice, and the sweet and sour sauce just completes the whole meal. I will mention that the sweet and sour sauce is an additional $0.20 so just keep that in mind if you're trying to get multiple! Overall, I highly recommend Cha for Tea if you're looking for a solid tea spot with a snack!

Yelp
Favorite tea spot of all time! Wrote my MA thesis on practically nothing but their thai iced teas. Love how you can customize everything. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Service has always been quick and friendly and it's a nice spot to hang out. I tried the green apple green tea and at first I wasn't sure how I felt about it but I ended up liking the taste. It's nice and refreshing!

Yelp
The only reason I'm giving you a 2 Star is case of all the good orders I've had. But the last Thai tea I just got was Horrendous. It was bland, and the only other taste was bitter. I've never had a Thai tea like this from you guys. I Did notice, however, is that when this was the first time I ever got NO ICE on my order it was like this. It genuinely tasted like you substituted WATER to account for the lack of ice. I guess just don't ask for no ice for your drink, which is still not good.

Yelp
Solid boba shop, with a good amount of food options as well. There's both indoor and outdoor seating - indoor seating is comfortable, but it's a little loud inside. -1 star for a lack of non-awkward places to wait for your order or for the bathroom.

Yelp
This specific location has the worst service. There was a period of time where the service was fast and efficient, however I come back today to the same two workers who were standing there eating afters ice cream while making my drink when i was here a few visits ago. Today, they were standing there on their phone, leaning on the tables, as 7-9 people were waiting for their order. On top of that, once we finally got our order, they made us the wrong drink despite the order sticker reading correctly. 2 stars instead of 1 because my drink is always good, but i'd rather travel further to another location and be satisfied with my experience.

Yelp
I'm so glad there's a Cha for Tea in Long Beach!! Passing by, I had to immediately stop by and get the classic black milk tea with boba. It was so easy and refreshing, and reconfirmed my thoughts that Cha for Tea has some of the best milk tea and boba. The milk tea is customizable and flavorful, and the boba is warm, sweet, and soft. I love having a place I can rely on for a good milk tea, and Cha for Tea does it for me. This location shares a parking lot with Target, so depending on what day/time you're there, you might have to turn around the lot a bit to find a spot, but it exists! I ordered ahead on their website and was able to pick up the order right when I walked in. Easy peasy - can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This was one of the first boba places I had outside of my own town so it's more nostalgic than anything. I ordered a mango green tea, and then also added on the almond milk tea so I could reach a delivery minimum on DoorDash! Love both of these drinks here. It arrived 25 mins late but that's the driver's fault.... But unfortunately there was a mistake on Cha for Tea's part. There was no mango green tea in my sealed bag! It was the drink I was most looking forward to so you can imagine my disappointment after waiting over an hour and the drink isn't even there. The almond milk tea was good at least, just like I remember it.
