"Chatte Tea & Desserts shares its space with Uji Time, which also serves matcha soft serve in fish-shaped Japanese cones. But Chatte is much more explicitly about the matcha itself, with ceremonial-grade matcha available alongside matcha lattes, sparkling matcha, and matcha floats starring Uji’s soft serve. Matcha cheesecake, matcha tiramisu, matcha panna cotta, and matcha egg waffles are also on offer." - Laurie Jo Miller Farr, Janelle Bitker

Coconut water with whipped thai tea? I AM ALL IN. this is the "Coco Cha Cha" on the menu. I really enjoyed this drink as a refreshing alternative to your typical creamy thai tea. They also have a variety of other styles of thai tea here! Thai tea with lime, lychee thai tea, and more! There's also many fresh fruit drinks, like strawberry lemonade, avocado slushy, and more. The inside of this cafe is quite minimalistic and a chill place to do work. Small place, but there's also lots of snacks and good vibes.

These are the best tea spot I've ever had. This store sells so many different types of Tea, Fresh Fruit Slushy and Toasties. My absolute favorite being the Thai tea slushies, perfectly paired with toasted bread inspired by the Thai dessert called Pung Yen. Definitely worth checking it out!

Google
Most delicious tea drink I’ve had, seriously. I got the Black Tea Lychee drink with Thai syrup and never even thought how yum that could taste. I’d recommend less sweet if you’re not that much of a sweet tooth, but like sweet. The flavors are so well balanced, strong black tea taste and subtle lychee with a good Thai syrup after taste. So good! It is pretty expensive so more of a treat. $9.50 for one drink. Very limited seating too!

A new beautiful cafe. Not a lot of room for studying, mostly a place to sit and catch up with a friend over dessert. The owners are very sweet and very accommodating. I got the thai milk tea - I did request it to be less sweet which made it better. However, despite it tasting fresh - it seemed like it had powder milk instead of half&half giving that artificial thai tea flavor. We, of course had to get some desserts. --Pandan toast: the best one in the Northern Bay! The pandan sauce has a really good consistency and is not overly sweet! They'll toast the white bread and pour the pandan sauce on it. What would make it better? - if the toast was thicker actually, not like a brick toast, but just a little bit thicker, so the proportion of the sauce to the toast is better. You can also think - just get less sauce, but thats the whole point of the dessert, so you dont want to cut that back! --Mango sticky rice: very good for a quick mango sticky rice dessert! Mango was a bit small but I think its bc of the size of mango at this time of the year. Sticky rice was perfect though, and it was warm too. Definitely will be coming back with more people!

Yelp
A cute little tea shop specializing in Thai tea and Thai cafe light meals and snacks. The space smells like fresh wood and the seating space is compact and cozy. Drinks taste high quality and the straws are bamboo so environmentally friendly but don't disintegrate like paper straws. Fast and simple counter service. Metered parking in front or free residential parking on the side street of the shop.

Yelp
Cha Thai Tea is a new boba spot that I believe took over Boba Panda. Parking is street parking, so it may be hit or miss - I was able to find metered parking less than half a block away. Both the exterior and interior is simple, but modern. There are some small tables with a long bench and stool seating, as well as bar seating by the window. Service was good from the employee working as well. I ordered the Cha Thai Milk Tea with boba. I asked for half sweet and less ice. It was a bit expensive for the size (about $8 and there is 1 size only) and the boba portion was not the best either. The milk tea was pretty sweet for half sweet, so good thing I did not get regular sweet, I wished it was a bit less sweet though and they give almost a full cup of ice for drinks - they still give about half a cup of ice for less ice, but it was the ice chip style ice, so it was not that bad. Overall, I enjoyed my drink from here, aside from the small details / kinks.

Yelp
Yummy! The coco mango slushie was super refreshing and also big. We added boba which was fresh and warm. The Thai Tea was also delish. The place is very cute and clean and there are outlets under each table for working. Will be back.

Yelp
This review is solely based on their Thai milk tea (aka your typical Thai tea). After tax/tip, this ended up being over $7. It's quite steep price-wise, but the cup size is larger than what you'd get at a typical Thai restaurant. I asked for less sweet, and I'm glad that I did. I don't prefer drinks extremely sweet and this was a good balance. The tea flavor was strong, even when some of the ice melted (I am a slow sipper). I'm curious to try their desserts and will be back for that. Extra brownie points for crushed ice and compostable straws that aren't made of paper!

Yelp
Love love love this tea shop on Shattuck in Berkeley. A slightly tucked in storefront with very friendly staff and a nice selection of teas + drinks + boba. The avocado smash w honey boba was perfectly sweet at half-sugar. Thai Milk Tea was both strong and creamy. Will definitely return. We were here on a Sunday evening and seating area was clean and quiet.

Yelp
Not usually the biggest fan of thai tea because it's so sweet but this place was so yummy :) You can choose to get less sweet / less ice / customize to however you prefer. They also have some treats and other drinks on the menu that looked soo good -- will definitely come back to try!

Yelp
So happy this place opened down the street from me!! Lovely service, pretty space to do work in and yummy drink! I got the mango coco that's supposed to be reminiscent of mango sticky rice and it was! Will definitely be back :)

Yelp
Nice vibes! Excellent boba thai ice tea and fresh mango slushy with Butter & Sugar Toast dessert. Highly recommended for everyone to stop by in Berkeley.

Yelp
Delicious and authentic Thai Tea! Unlike many other Thai Teas made using half and half, this store uses condensed milk, which is the traditional method in Thailand. This gives it a sweet yet rich taste that can't be copied with half and half + sugar. The price is around $7 and with added toppings like boba can run you up to $9-10. A bit expensive but good little treat every now and then. The shop has a few seats with tables that look great for studying! Will definitely come back to try their food like mango sticky rice and toast.

Yelp
Such a cute little shop! I popped in on a whim while looking for boba. The Thai milk tea was fantastic, though still quite sweet at 75%. But the lychee black tea was amazing with little chunks of lychee included. You can tell that they use real ingredients in their drinks and focus on quality. Definitely coming back, especially for their fruit teas!

Yelp
This boba shop was new and we got so lucky to happen to be in town after they opened! The boba was fireeee! Honestly I haven't had this flavor in a Milk Tea yet and IT IS DELICIOUS! Try this place it's very good! Also, the crushed ice is top tier! The inside is nice and pretty not your typical boba spot. I can't wait to see if they end up adding some gluten free snacks to the list! They said that they might and are looking to pair up with a bakery in the area! **Fingers-crossed** The service was great! It was very clean and the staff & owner were very kind! I would definitely recommend! I'll be going back! I got the Milk Tea with no pearls, less sweetened & extra ice! It was perfect for me. We got one with pearls, she loved the flavor too! We also got a strawberry slushy for my neice. It was delicious! Good for kids & hot days!

Yelp
I moved away from this neighborhood to Kensington last year and happened to be walking around here again yesterday, and I'm so glad I did because I would never have discovered this new Thai tea place! They are newly opened and I love everything about this place. I got the Oat Thai milk tea with boba and it was so yummy. They also have a good variety of Thai desserts that I didn't order but I'm excited to try next time. Love the ambiance of this place, the staff was friendly( I think the owner was there), and I can't wait to bring my friends here!

Yelp
Great spot that I passed on my way through North Shattuck, enjoyed the ambiance and friendly staff and had a really delicious Thai tea!

Yelp
Stumbled into this gorgeous little boba place. It was absolutely charmed by the relaxing ambiance, tasty and good quality food all served by the most cheerful, friendly, helpful humble owner. I could not recommend this little gem enough, must try! Not to mention it serves the best mango slushy. Highly recommended

Yelp
One of the best boba spots in Berkeley (I've been to just about all of them -- rip my wallet)! Super friendly service and a completely different vibe than other places in town. Prices are on the higher end but comparable to U Dessert Story (albeit this place is chicer and much cleaner; fewer food items however) The drinks are super fresh and I'm looking forward to trying everything

Yelp
