"Chaat Bhavan is a vegetarian restaurant with locations in Fremont and Dublin as well. People flock here for the vada pav and dabeli, two beloved spicy street sandwiches from the west coast of India. The first is filled with a deep-fried chickpea flour–battered potato fritter. The latter features a spicy mashed potato mixture that’s topped with masala peanuts and pomegranate arils — a spicy, sweet combo." - Hetal Vasavada

By far one of the best vegetarian Indian restaurants. The quality, taste and aroma are unbelievable. Just the right amount of spices, makes every bite an explosion of flavors. Lakhvir Singh is wonderful, polite and very kind.

I visited Chat Bhavan for some chaat and had a great experience! I tried their sev puri and bhel puri—both were good, but the bhel was my favorite. The flavors were well-balanced, and the crunch was just right. I also had their cutting chai, which was decent. They have an extensive menu with plenty of options to explore, so I’ll definitely be back to try more. A great spot for chaat lovers!

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. It was my first time there. Enjoyed the service and foods there very much.

We have tried their dahi papdi chat, paneer chili and Vadapao. Dahi papdi chat was decent. Paneer chili was disappointment, there were way too many veggies in that dish compared to paneer. I am posting two images, first one after they served and second one after I finished eating paneer. You will see what I am trying to say. Vadapao was okay but not spicy. They have friendly and helpful staff. I forgot my credit card there and they kept it safely till next day.

The food was pretty average. It said malai soya chaap but hardly any malai. The noodle burger was big 👎🏻..overpowered by spicy mayo and no other flavour. Chole bhature were decent but lacked the characteristics of the dark rajori garden brand. The soda served was not chilled. Also the whole room was smokey with all the hot sizzler and chaap ..they really need to work on their ventilation. Overall pretty mediocre experience. The one in Mountain View is much better.

Chaat Bhavan - Sunnyvale never disappoints! The food is fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. The special Thaali is the highlight — packed with delicious variety, perfectly balanced, and super filling. Great service, clean atmosphere, and always a welcoming vibe. If you’re craving real Indian food, this place is definitely worth it!

I ordered a chaat, a bhel puri and a gobi manchurian. The chaat was very average. You'll get better chaat at many food trucks in the bay area. The manchurian was pretty good though. The atmosphere was quite good for a family to dine out.

My husband and I make it a point to visit this location every time we are in the area. The food is the best Indian food, we have had in all of America. The service is quick and very accommodating of any dietary restrictions.
