"Trinidad and Tobago’s flag hangs in Chaconia’s windows—your first indication that roti should be on your order. The indication that you should (try) and get it with richly spiced curry goat will be because it’s sold out. Or, if you’re early, on recommendation from the welcoming owner and chef of this takeaway and delivery-only Trini spot in Deptford. She’ll also nudge you towards adding tart tamarind sauce, which you should get too. After my stay, I can fully understand why, Chaconia has its name of being home away from home, which is exactly how I felt during my stay. The staff were extremely friendly and personable. Ms. Stace was the best and assisted with some issues I had with the band I was playing with. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, cable tv, balcony room, AC was wonderful and the daily maintenance was chef kiss! And the pool is a wonderful place to relax after coming back in. Breakfast was always delicious! I look forward to staying here again! Thank you so much for everything!

My group and I stayed here for carnival 2024. The staff and location was exceptional. We weren't too far away from the action, you would need a driver to drive you back and forth to the events. The hotel is in the vicinity of lots of restaurants and shops. The rooms are nice and clean and they newly added a pool on the rooftop which was a nice hangout spot. I highly recommend staying here anytime of the year.

Chaconia Home Away from Home was an excellent place to stay. I think I will only choose them when staying for Carnival in Trinidad. They really make you feel like you're family when there. Their staff are so friendly and caring. They go out of their way on matters you have outside of the hotel experience. I am very thankful to manager and staff as they made my group's trip one we will always remember. I can't forget to mention that their breakfast was freshly made every morning by an in house chef of local dishes so you get a taste of Trinidad without leaving the premises. I cannot recommend enough that this is the place to stay in Trinidad. Thank you once again for a fabulous hotel experience.

I've been here for weddings, Bingo, and just for my own enjoyment. The staff are warm, polite, and very accommodating. The rooms and facilities are always spotless and comfortable. I've always loved spending time at Chaconia, and with recent renovations to expand and improve, I can't wait to spend another night here! Highly recommend.

It's a nice little property, base on what I was told, the place is a major upgrade from what it was in 2020. Staff was great, they tend to your needs but there are a few issues that need to resolve and this place will be amazing. The floors in the rooms need to done, the bathroom, especially the shower needs to be done. Housekeeping needs to be upgraded, THE SHOWER WAS NOT CLEAN ONCE DURING OUR STAY, TOWELS WERE REPLACED DAILY BUT WAS CLOTH WEREN'T. I AM NOT SURE IF NOT HAVING AN IRON OR IRONING BOARD IS A POLICY, BUT IT WAS DEFINITELY NEEDED.

Chaconia really is like home away from home. It has a very low-key, comfortable and personable vibe. The breakfast was amazing every morning. All the staff were very friendly with smiles on their faces. A special shout-out to Colleen at the front desk who was absolutely amazing, she has a kindred spirit. And the manager to is also a sweetheart. Anything that we asked for and needed special attention to, the wonderful staff at Chaconia made it possible. The rooms from time to time we're muggy but that is understandable due to the climate. Sometimes the water took a while to drain out in the shower. I want to give a special shout-out to the housekeeping staff that allowed for me to soak my feet every night due to swelling. I also want to give a large thank you to the front desk staff that was able to hold all of our goodie bags safely until we returned to our rooms. The beds were very comfortable also. If I could suggest anything it would be to decorate the rooms and spice it up as far as decor goes. Also Chaconia has beautiful land which I'm sure overtime will be displayed beautifully. It's a work in progress which we were able to see. I would absolutely stay at Chaconia anytime I visit Trinidad in the near future. Kudos to the Chaconia famalay

The staff at Chaconia was nothing but AMAZING! I loved that they offered hot breakfast every morning and even offered to help with making sure my costume for carnival fit properly. The property is fairly close to everything and there’s these really good fruit stands right across the street. I can’t wait to come back next year!
