Stopped in here off the street after seeing the selection of baked goods in the window. I bought the mini, which was a perfect sized treat to try on the go. I found the frosting to be a little too cream cheese forward, but it was a delicious treat overall.

Google
Very cute counter-in-the-wall bakery in Castro! We got a lemon bun and a chocolate one. The lemon one was the best since it had this decadent cream cheese layer! The fococcias look good too and we will try to get one next time. No indoor seating, only a bench outside to sit on. The people at the counter were nice as well!

Google
Check out this hot new bakery in the Castro! Chadwick’s has these cinnamon rolls called fun buns and they are pretty fun to eat! We got the original, chocolate, and lemon ones. It’s limited supply, so come early! They also make fresh focaccia-style pizzas that are perfect for one person and smell so good. We got the pepperoni and cheese. They’re a hidden gem, so you gotta check it out!

Google
I was looking for some place close to get a cup of coffee as I was picking up some work from an art show across the street. I was surprised that it didn’t pop up for ‘coffee near me’ on google search. Coffee is good. Wasn’t feeling a big cinnamon roll for breakfast but decided to have a little one! A great little treat!

Personal size pizza with housemaid Thai sausage was fantastic. Best quality pizza in this area hands down. So happy to see the menu here expanding keeping it interesting.

This picture doesn't do it justice, but the Lost in Translation sandwich is transcendently good. Southeast Asian flavor profile with pillowy soft and salty focaccia. 🤌🏻

Chadwick's has a unique twist on sweet rolls, offering freshly made in-house original, chocolate and lemon rolls. This is the perfect place in Castro to stop by with friends for a delicious dessert!

Finally got to try this place after living in Castro forever! The buns were well worth the wait and the person serving me was even more delightful. I will be back for sure!!!

Yelp
We stopped by the North Beach Farmers Market and tried one of their almond babkas and their Jalapeño Cheddar! Both so absolutely tasty, and the bread was as soft as can be -- really different than other parties we had had. Felt like a more comforting type of pastry! Michelle was so lovely, she ran the booth with her and another man and they had such a cute setup! We are excited to make this a part of our Saturday early afternoon routine through our strolls of North Beach :) We ate them at Washington Square Park which was a delight!

Yelp
Most welcoming, and They make AMAZING $4 cinnamon rolls...$7.50 Probably a reflection of the neighborhood; the rents are so high...but hourly workers can't afford to eat lunch in the area. Still...

Yelp
Stopped by after seeing pics of the pride roll. I was a bit disappointed as they didn't have any at all, wasn't busy, and don't think any were being put out. I did try a mini cinnamon roll and a savory morning bun with cheese and leeks. The cinnamon roll was pretty good and enjoyed the frosting that seemed so light and whipped. My favorite was the savory morning bun with cheese and leeks. No seating as it's a walk up window to order and take away. I'd wander by again in hopes the pride roll is available

Yelp
I won a gift card for this place and I'm so glad I did! I would've never tried the place and def would be missing out. All the items I tried were delicious and if I was in the area I will definitely be stopping by. Italian Sandwich: the focaccia bread was soft and flavorful. The sandwich was meaty and delicious. It seemed to be filled with artichoke, ham, pepperoni and salami. The only downside is the sandwich was extra oily but so worth getting. The Chadwick Dough Boy: it was a focaccia pizza dough topped with Canadian bacon and scallions. I loved how bready the crust was and it was a perfect ratio of sauce and toppings. I would def get this again. This wasn't super oily either. I wished I had a side of ranch with it bc that would have made it even better. I assume you can buy ranch bc their wicks come with it! OG Fun Bun: The pastry part was good. Soft with good flavor, but I don't like cream cheese frosting. So I would have liked it without any frosting. My bf really liked it though. The staff working were very nice. I want to go back to try the savory morning buns and the wicks! Everything looked so good, so if I'm back in the castro I'll stop by again!

Yelp
First time trying this spot but I've been eyeing it for weeks since I work down the street! The Chris coffee is delightful, not too sweet, still real coffee. I tried a savory and also a sweet morning bun, both are absolutely delicious! Sean or Shawn at the front was also super kind and explained the menu, had a wonderful energy. Thank Probably a horrible idea to try them cause now they are walking distance and the cravings will be too easily accessible lol

Yelp
The Meaty Morning Buns are soooo good. I work out at Barry's (burn 700 calories) and after I walk down to Chadwick's feeling Ive earned the 1000+ calorie morning bun. They also have cute little red tables in front to dine out on a sunny day with the dogos. Amazing food and amazing people

Yelp
Wow I saw this place popped up in the old Subway store on Market and Castro by the gas station. I never knew what they sold, I finally saw this place on TooGoodToGo app and said why not buy end of day food and try it out then to see if any good. Luckily I made it 15 minutes before closing as I got out of work super late, which I didn't expect and almost forgot my pickup. I ran over to store and found they were sweeping or mopping floors when I arrived at the takeout window. For some reason my app wasn't working with a black screen! I was freaking out, but luckily the guy believe me and he gave me a The Chadwick Dough Boy pizza that had red sauce, mozzarella cheese, canadian bacon, scallions. I took it home and heat it up and wow! It's strange when you take your first bite and you wonder what's this and do I like it? Hmmm... Unique and amazing. Looks like a small pizza by looking at and it seems like a lot of care went into it. Carefully placed scallions that are sprinkled evenly. I am not sure how they make the dough. Is it handmade or pre made into perfect circles. The dough is crispy and chewy almost like a crispy foccicia bread, not like a sourdough because it's not sour would be the best way to describe it. I like it better than Golden Boy pizza because it's crispy it's cute and tiny personal size. I only ate half, since it's so late to eat dinner and makes a great light just right dinner. For sure it will fill you up if you eat the whole thing and drink water. The ingredients tastes fresh and nice it's not heavy greasy oily like a normal pizza. I didn't want to turn into a dough girl so I keep my meal light. LOL Thank you for still being open. I don't know much about this establishment, but I wouldn't mind coming back to try the Fun Buns which are cinnamon rolls other reviewers are talking about. Sounds interesting. Looks yummy too. This was a yummy experience and glad to took a chance at this place. Always fun to discover something new that is good. Keep up the good tasting food! Yummy in my tummy for sure!

Yelp
Got half of my order... Check the bag before you walk away. No way to call since listed number is 555-555-5555...

Yelp
the olive wick was so-so, I thought it was too doughy for my liking. they were generous with the olives but not enough tomato sauce so it was kind of dry. the rosemary focaccia was delicious, very fluffy and fragrant when heated up.

Yelp
New carbs galore window in the Castro. Everything on the menu is full of yeasty doughy goodness. The buns are the must try here! O.G. Fun Bun: The main reason to come here. You know the soft doughy inside of a cinnamon bun that you love so much? Well the whole bun has that texture! And there is a huge amount of frosting on top. Not quite warm like a Cinnabon, but super tasty. The Chadwick Dough Boy: Such mixed feelings. It's tasty for sure, like a little retro personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. But it's also really tiny for the price of $13. That's like two cinnamon buns with $1 leftover. So I'd recommend sticking with the buns. Pepperoni Wick w/ Ranch Dressing: Kinda like a garlic knot, but filled with pepperoni. The really star here is the homemade ranch dressing. Way better than Hidden Valley and with a nice kick. A perfect cooling pairing to the doughy pepperoni treat.

Yelp
Cute little corner bakery in the Castro They specialize in cinnamon buns and focaccia variants. The cinnamon bun I had was the lemon. I had the Thai me focaccia pizza and the Chris coffee. The pizza was so good and had an amazing buttery crispy crust. Great flavors from the sausage, basil and pepperoni. I loved the focaccia pizza and found the crust and breading to be perfect and buttery. The Lemon Chadwick was perfect in terms of sweetness and tartness. I like the fluffiness of it. The cream on top was lemon flavored and added to the bun. Can't wait to try the other flavors next time

Yelp
I was recently here and tried their Chocolate Fun Bun, their version of a chocolate cinnamon roll. This wasn't very sweet, which I appreciated. Even the cream cheese frosting wasn't too sweet, so it was nice to have something not overly sugared. While it had cocoa, it wasn't very chocolatey. The texture was a bit on the dry side for me...putting it in the microwave for a bit did help slightly by making it a bit fluffy. This treat is fairly small and it's hard to justify the $7 price point, even for San Francisco. There aren't very many spots where one can get these style of cinnamon rolls, so if you're in the neighborhood and you're craving one, you can consider trying this place.

Alexander L.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. The meaty morning but was a perfect combination of cheesy, doughy, and meaty. The dough was cooked to perfection.

Yelp
Ehhh it's fine. Just picked up an original and a lemon fun bun. It's a little bland and the frosting is on the sour side for both. Tastes almost like plain cream cheese without sugar to balance out the taste. The bun part is relatively soft which I appreciate. Tbh I like Cinnabon much much more, but that place is hard to beat. Also the size of the normal one was half the size of the lemon one. (See pix). And I like the normal one more than the lemon so pretty sad how much smaller it is.Definitely not worth $8+ I paid after tip and tax for each. I think the price shoud be set at $4 each, especially for the tiny standard fun bun. I don't think it's bad, but certainly the taste and size don't justify the high prices with outstanding bakeries at the same cost nearby like Tartine. I suggest they at the very least do a better job with evening out the portions for each bun so customers don't feel slighted.

Bay G.

Yelp
They make breakfast food but don't open until 11am. I had the O.G. bun and the lemon bun. Both were still warm when I ate them. I was underwhelmed. The buns were rubbery. The O.G. bun had an odd coffee flavor. The icing was too fluffed up - a drizzle rather than a whipped topping would have made the buns easier to eat and less of a mess. I am one and done with this bun.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Everyone is so kind here! Lovely little local bakery. I'm more of a savory person so I've thoroughly enjoyed their wicks and dough boys!

Latte Queen W.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the pizza here. Got mine to go, warmed it up at home in the oven for about 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Delicious and filling. Will definitely come back.

Denise T.

Yelp
I love cinnamon rolls and I was excited to try Chadwick's fun buns. They have 3 fun bun flavors: original, lemon, and chocolate. I got the original cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting. I brought it home and warmed it up slightly before eating. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately, I only liked the cream cheese frosting. The bun wasn't moist, sticky, or ooey gooey. It was light, but there were no layers whatsoever and barely any cinnamon flavor. It was like eating a dinner roll with cream cheese frosting and I could only force myself to eat half of it. Chadwick's is a nice addition to Castro and I might be open to trying their focaccia when I'm in the area next time.

Judy S.

Yelp
Simple menu, limited hours, execution on point. Lemon fun bun had a good balance of sweet/tart and cream cheese/bun and is the perfect size for a breakfast or snack. It's a takeout window, there's some public seating down the block in the plaza in the Castro.

Alan H.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood. I typically read about openings like this in NextDoor or Hoodline, but Chadwicks snuck in. Located in the Subway location, Chadwick's offers only a few items; Fun Buns (cinnamon rolls), mini pizza, and drinks. The fun buns are averaged sized rolls and come with frosting. The pizzas are mini pizzas (about 6" I think) come with a few different toppings. I tried the original fun bun which was a cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting. It came in a cute box. I tried it the next morning for breakfast. It was delicious! Not to sweet, the right amount of cinnamon, and very fluffy. I didn't try the pizza. My only real complaint was how I was charged. The menu lists fun buns in three flavors for $3.99. They were displayed in the window as a bun with frosting. When I was rung up I was charged $3.99 + $1.00 for icing. Why not put "optional icing $1" on the menu or ask if I want icing when ordering? I'd love to see bundled deals (buy 6 get one free, 3 for $12, etc). Also, I'd recommend calling out the name or type of coffee. Fair Trade, Ethiopian, Four Barrel, etc. If not I'm going to assume it's a keurig or Folgers. I can't wait to go back to try more!

Brooke C.

Yelp
The customer service is good but the cinnamon rolls very dry. The frosting wasn't sweet enough for me.

Katherine L.

Yelp
I was excited to try something from Chadwick's given that all they make are cinnamon rolls. I had the chocolate bun and it wasn't fluffy and soft as I would have expected. The frosting was fine in texture but overall I was disappointed in the flavor of the actual bun.

Nathan K.

Yelp
I dropped by Chadwick's while shopping on Market. The ordering experience was friendly, funny, and inviting. I tried their cinnamon buns and a focaccia pizza. Both were delicious! The lemon cinnamon bun is sweet, but it doesn't taste that sweet. The curd filling and cream cheese frosting are properly balanced for tartness. In the chocolate bun, the addition of dark chocolate pieces really helps to amp the flavor. The focaccia pizza really hit the spot. I ordered the "Ya Basic," which is just cheese and tomato sauce. An excellent bite that I would order again and again. I didn't even have it heated up, it was delicious and perfect at room temperature. I'm glad Chadwick's is in the Castro now! A great addition to the neighborhood.

Angela N.

Yelp
WAY TOO expensive for what you get. extra notice: the Mexican diet cokes are tiny and $3.50 each!!!! I do not know wtf is happening to our community, but when what-used-to-be-in-the-$5-subway-spot is now a $50 lunch for 2, what I do know is that we are being ROBBED. The personal pizza is $15 w ranch and has 2 actually toppings, including the sauce. The ranch is $1 (included in the $15) extra for a short, tiny little container that you would get ketchup in or something. Absolutely not. I am tired of these new options in the castro. You are forced to tip at least 15% when you do their "Pick-Up" option through TOAST.

Leon S.

Yelp
Staff is always friendly and serving with a smile. I'm a little sad that the strawberry fun bun is gone but the lemon fun bun is great as well. The Italian sandwich is go to for a quick lunch.

G V.

Yelp
I absolutely Looove this place and hope they will expand their hours. Their products are only lightly sugared and leave you wanting more

Lou Z.

Yelp
Great fun buns! I'm looking forward to trying the pizza and other pastries. Definitely worth a try. Do you plan on delivery anytime soon?

Courtney S.

Yelp
Really tasty! Had a pepperoni pizza and an original fun bun. While the pizza may seem small, it was very filling for one person. I only ate half and then reheated the other half later in a toaster oven and it reheated well. I wanted to eat the fun bun while it was fresh and it hit my craving for a cinnamonroll. Might've been a bit too much frosting for my tastes, but I'm sure others will love it. I just scraped some off to my liking. They were out of the lemon flavored, so I'll have to go back to try that and the chocolate. This is a great spot for a quick, inexpensive by SF standards, filling, carby meal

Nav T.

Yelp
Okay but I prefer a slightly sweeter cream cheese frosting and a harder hit of cinnamon. Overall, also was very pricy for what you get.

Sandra K.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Chadwick's after walking past their window for more than a year now. After building up the courage to splurge $7 on ball of dough (I mean seriously how much does flower, sugar, and eggs cost?) I was disappointed to discover it was just meh-mediocre when I bit into their fun bun. Maybe if it was like 3 dollars I'd go back, but don't think it's something I'd waste calories on again either. There's better stuff out there.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Tried the OG cinnamon roll - the dough was nice and fluffy, but didn't have much sugar or cinnamon flavor and the frosting was very heavy on the cream cheese, more tangy than sweet. I have a sweet tooth so this wasn't the best fit for me, but if you like things that are not as sweet you'd probably really enjoy it.

Susan O.

Yelp
The pastries are delicious. This is almost literally a hole in the wall place. Don't pass it up.

Sean M.

Yelp
Pretty straightforward. Fresh-baked yummy cinnamon buns. When you are the mood, nothing is better. Highly recommended.

Sara C.

Yelp
Super friendly salta fans the Fun Bun was delicious. We tried the lemon flavor and wilt definitely be going back to try more things.

Alana H.

Yelp
The food is incredible. Fresh ingredients and amazing flavor combinations. The location is perfect to grab a bite when wandering through the Castro or needing something quick. The staff are friendly and helpful.

J P.

Yelp
Lemon bun was delicious! Warm and oooey gooey. Their hours are very frustrating, I came by 4 times before i figured out when they were open.

Noah H.

Yelp
This unassuming spot appeared out of thin air and I'm so glad I stopped to satisfy my curiosity. The veggie focaccia was great - flavorful sauce and artichoke hearts and a nice crunch to the bread. Very friendly service - a great addition to the neighborhood!

KT R.

Yelp
If you're a fan of cream cheese frosting - Chadwick's takes it to the next level!!! Amazing cinnamon bun and can't wait to try the savory focaccia!

Nicholas A.

Yelp
Thai place is delish! I picked up their version of a Chocolate Cinnabon and it was delish! Used it as a little birthday cake for a friend, but will DEFINITELY get another one for myself
