Amazing yummy food. It was all so fresh and yummy. The staff and cooks (special mention Rupesh ji and Rakhi ji) are very warm hearted. They give a warm welcome and take reviews about food. It doesn't feel like a restaurant but feels like you are eating at someone's home... Dil se khana khilate hai ye log.

A Perfect Nonveg Thali restaurant and worth the hype . Very tasty and flavourful authentic malvani food The fish/chicken perfect cooked and fresh in thali they serve curry was too good . The place is small and cozy . Service on time . We ordered:- 1.Surmai thali 2.Pomplet thali 3.Chicken thali 4.ravas thali 5.prawns fry 6.Komadi vade 7.mutton thali . Over all 4/5

Recently visited Chaitanya Assal Malvani Bhojangruha with family. We had to wait for over one & half hour to get the table. We had ordered mutton thali, Bangda thali, Surmai thali, chicken thali with chapati, vade & ghavne & also crab lollipop for starter. Main course food was really good with authentic Malvani taste. We enjoyed food with refills of solkadhi at no extra charge. Fish was fresh. Staff was polite. Service was reasonably quick as we had given our order beforehand while in wait. Must visit place.

chaitanya was an incredible culinary experience, not just for its food but its general atmosphere. we had to wait for about an hour to get a table, but it was worth it. with traditional malvani songs playing in the background, we ordered solkadhi, bombil fry, chicken sogati, and prawns curry with amboli. the solkadhi arrived first, and the first sip transported me to a quaint konkani town. it was satisfying to a point i couldn’t find words to describe what i was feeling. the bombil is an incredible fish, and the restaurant complimented its soft and flaky texture with a perfectly crispy rava coating. to add some texture and depth, eat it with onions with a light squeeze of lime juice. next arrived the chicken sogati and prawns curry along with rice pancakes known as amboli. the amboli was the perfect choice to soak up all the coconut milk in the curry, and the taste of the juicy prawns was incredible. the sagoti quickly spiced things up with its liberal use of whole masalas. truly a perfect contrast. we ended our meal with warm modaks, along with which they serve ghee. they were divine. cant wait to go back!

Supposedly an iconic restaurant for Malvani food.. but it was just about ok. My wife ordered a fish thali ( with pomfret fry - see photo) & my daughter ordered chicken masala with vade. Honestly I did not relish any food. The thali was a 4/10. 4 for the pomfret - but honestly I have had tastier pomfret fry at other places - the different types of rassa was just about edible. The chicken masala was ok ( 5/10). The real surprise was solkadhi which was quite tasty & Ukdiche modak- with ghee. Kharvas was passe..I am still searching for the elusive but real ( assal Malvani) Malvani taste..

One of the most iconic seafood places in Mumbai. You will find it on most wish list seas food places. The fish thali and the prawn special thali is very nice. The Bombil is outstanding and goes very well with the unlimited solkadhi( with thali) The prawn pulav in the thali was very flavourful. We ordered the Fish tawa fry which was crisp on the out and soft on the inside which was perfect The clams were a bit off this day Last we had the Modaks which left us completely stuffed !! Great food !!

Best seafood restaurant in Mumbai. They serve fresh and quality catch. You will not get this kind of assal malvani taste in any other restaurant. They also serve homemade icecreams like jackfruit icecream and paramaparik modak in their menu. It's heavenly. Definitely highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
