Came last night (Friday night) and I wouldn't come back again. :( I will give them some grace because they were understaffed, but at the same time, Tastea works faster with only two baristas.
It took half an hour to get our drinks... Every five minutes they called out one order, as if they were brewing the tea fresh for every customer, but it definitely didn't taste like it.
I got the White Peach Oolong w/Cheese and my partner got Strawberry Yakult Tea. Mine was watery, unflavorful, and had no taste of peach at all. The cheese foam was thin and had no taste either. The boba was cooked perfectly (the saving grace!) but it wasn't sweet! The cashier said the boba was sweet and the drink would be too, but they were only barely sweet (tasted as if I ordered 30%, but I got 75% as she recommended). I paid $6.50 for a watery oolong with no fruit flavor.
My partner was surprised his drink came out as a slush, other drinks were labeled slush but the Yakult drinks were not. He did NOT want a slush! Why was it not labeled on the menu? :( His drink tasted good though, even though he didn't want an icy drink it was a pretty decent strawberry slush, butttt it barely tasted like Yakult. It was like he got a sprinkle of Yakult in there... Idk if I'm wrong for expecting something like Ding Tea's drinks for Yakult, but this place wasn't anything like that.
This place is SUPER LOUD. The setup is so echo-ey and annoying. It made it hard to wait for our drinks. It only took two groups laughing (out or 7 or 8 groups that could sit in the shop) to make it way too loud and overstimulating. It really shouldn't be that way! Put some wood or carpet, or more deco to dull the noise. Even shaking ice for the drinks echoed everywhere. The poor girls working there have to be there for hours! I could barely handle 30 minutes, I would be screaming as a worker in there!!
Also for the space they had, there was barely anywhere to sit. The setup and the noise situation definitely needs to change.
