Delicious food with a curated menu — not your typical restaurant, but one that serves authentic royal Thai cuisine. The riverside setting along the Chao Phraya River is absolutely stunning, with a serene and scenic atmosphere inside. The staff are very attentive and provide excellent service. Highly recommend!

you go to this place for the view!! its a very special experience, given the atmosphere and view. every table is positioned so you can see Wat Arun at sunset. everything else was icing on the cake imo. the food was beautifully arranged, and i especially liked the appetizers with the spicy lotus cups. however the meat in the massaman curry was dry and not that tasty. as a one off; everything else was pretty good. service is 11/10; they are very attentive and kind, especially since there aren’t many people there dining together. there’s only space for make 4 tables, total of maybe 8-10 people, so the dining environment is quiet and relaxing. you can hear the water and watch the boats going down the river while you dine, and Wat Arun and the naval station have light shows in the evening. you need to make a reservation online, and when you arrive the gate is locked. they let you in once they know you have a reservation.

This was a very special experience I can only recommend! The grounds of the restaurants are stunning. As you enter you are greeted by this own little jungle-esque getaway. It is recommended that you arrive around 18 o' clock, so you see the sun setting on Wat Arun, and that was so memorable and beautiful! You also receive a delicious welcome drink. The host is so polite and kind, and also funny and makes you feel very welcome and accommodates you to every need. (Mosquitos were really agressive at one point and without saying anything, they noticed and brought out a big fan and provided me with mosquito repellant, since mine ran out!) Now the food was also so good. They have a different menu, based on each day, and the presentation is also a work of art in itself. Whileyou do have an entrée, all of the main dishes are served at the same time. The food was very very good! The desert for the day was fine. However, they knew it was our anniversary and they surprised us with a plate with brownies and macarons and it was so delectable! Simply because of this gesture we would come here again! 10/10 can only recommend of you want a special and unique experience.

What a setting for our family Christmas dinner. Beautiful view and the perfect place to host our family of 12 adults and 4 children. We arrived a little early and were able to catch the sun setting before dinner started. The food was impeccable and staff were great. We had asked for some modifications to a couple of the dishes and they were able to accommodate on short notice. It was a set menu and there was plenty of food with leftovers to take home. Great for forum settings and special occasions. It can accommodate smaller groups as well. There was a small table for 4 on the same night as well having dinner.

Excellent, five star dining experience all around, set on a property owned (and lived in) by the Thai Royal family. Reservations are required and seating is limited to 20 people per night. The food is a pre fixe tasting menu, and they have a vegan menu which is what we ordered (2200THB/pp). The food was amazing, best food we had in Bangkok, very thoughtful flavor profiles over the many courses served, and very filling (we couldn’t finish all of it). The views and venue were beautiful and a nice escape from the craziness of Bangkok. Natt (the manager of the property) was a pleasure to communicate with and super professional all around. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Google
The best address for your stay in Bangkok, offering to stay in a Palace experience with courteous service. We stayed at the Royal Guesthouse and had the pleasure to watch the Royal Barge with the descendants of the Prince Chakrabongse. It's a once in a life experience

Aside from the restaurant halfway up Paris' Eiffel Tower, I reckon this restaurant is in the world's best location Directly opposite the Temple of Dawn/Wat Arun. Right on the river. Stunning, stunning location. The food is equally so. A lovely selection of traditional Thai items, daily changing (and with some flexibility), you will not go home hungry. And the service is efficient, friendly, deferential. Maitr'd Natt is the consummate professional! We visit Bangkok twice a year, and Chakrabongse is always the first place we book ahead at!
