"A new bar, restaurant, and lounge inspired by fancy ski resorts is coming this summer to River North. Chalet, the first solo project from newish restaurant group HiFi Hospitality, aims to offer a vacation of sorts for Chicagoans long grounded by the pandemic with two floors of cabin-tinged decor, seasonal cocktails, and a menu that draws on West Coast cuisine. I have no idea who decided to label this place as "one of the best American food bars/restaurants", because it’s nowhere close. The food is mediocre at best, and the service is downright abysmal. The only reason I’m giving two stars is for the **happy hour**, but even that isn’t enough to make up for the experience. If management is reading this—**it’s embarrassing** to have just **one overwhelmed server** handling **10 tables plus the bar**. The lack of staff wouldn’t be as frustrating if they didn’t tack on a **5% surcharge plus an automatic 20% gratuity for essentially no service.** As for the food, it was hit-or-miss: - **Salmon sliders** – Surprisingly good. - **Flatbread** – Above average. - **Truffle mac and cheese** – Decent. - **Wings** – A disappointment. - **Fries** – Absolutely unacceptable. - **Tres leches cake** – Not bad, but nothing memorable. Bottom line? There’s no reason to waste your time or money here when Chicago has countless exceptional dining options. Skip it and go somewhere that actually cares about food and service.

The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice with good music. Could use some more waitresses they only had 1 woman trying to take care of everyone upstairs.

Got the chance to visit here while in town and I’m so glad I did. I made reservations because they had a grass wall so you know how that goes. Haha but once we arrived it wasn’t busy and the reservation table was all the way in the back and did not have good lighting so the hostess said we could sit at the bar instead. Our bartender was Josh. He was pretty meh. He didn’t really have any suggestions lol which was fine. It’s was something about Sundays where they give women free champagne so that was lit. We started out with apps the garlic shrimp and chicken Alfredo cheese bread both were really good! My shrimp could’ve been a lot hotter temp wise but still good. I liked how they have brunch boards filled with some great brunch items for you to share and that’s what we got. It had literally everything you would want for breakfast. That was a really good concept. I definitely recommend them for brunch. The music was good (too loud) and the decor is really nice. Make sure you double check your check they add a service fee and automatic tip but you can ask them to take off the service fee. No shade which we did.

Google
Gave it 5 stars because EVERYTHING IS 50% OFF ON THURSDAYS! Food AND Cocktails! 😩🎉 Needless to say... I WAS HERE ON A THURSDAY! 😂 The smash burger 🍔 was delicious, the truffle fries were delicious, the spicy mezcal margaritas were delicious, and they were all 1/2 off! 🙌🏾 Not to mention our server, Asia, was gracious and hospitable. 🙏🏾 Literally would visit every Thursday if able!

Google
The host was very enthusiastic and helpful. She provided a smile and was genuinely pleasant to everyone. Our server was very patient. When our eggs arrived way before the meals, she had them remake them and gave us a set on the house. The drinks were ON point! One drink is ENOUGH! I had the strawberry Lemon drop. It was worth it! The caramel French toast and the strawberry French toast were excellent. No syrup needed! I asked for crispy bacon and I got crispy bacon! I will definitely visit this spot again! Kudos!!!

Don’t think twice about this happy hour🥰 Delicia was our waitress from 4-7 and she was perfect.we ordered the happy hour cocktails with Hennessy and they were delicious! We also ordered well done extra-crispy hot and lemon pepper wings, beef and salmon sliders along with french fries. Everything was perfect!!! I will definitely be a returning customer. Next on the list is Chalet brunch. 3rd visiting Chalet and this time it was for brunch. Jasymne was great to work with during our dine in, and her service was perfect. The DJ was a vibe! I definitely recommend for group birthday outings.

Google
The bartender Josh was extremely professional and friendly. The food was really good, the music was great and so was the vibe. It’s very tight and congested inside but once it clears out it’s fine. The host with freckles and red hair was extremely unprofessional and sat people without reservations at the bar, but said it was not an open bar. Other than that, loved the vibe.

Came for the 1st time for happy hour on a Friday with my girl. Scotti and Mikey were so on point with service. The espresso martinis were so good and the music was such a vibe. I highly recommend this place for such a chill bar night with good food, music and atmosphere.

Yelp
food and drinks were great! Music and ambiance was a vibe and our server Scotty was amazing! Her energy was infectious and she was very attentive.

Yelp
Chalet is indeed a beautiful establishment with a fun vibe. When you walk in there is a DJ playing on each of the two floors. They have an all day menu, but I came for the brunch. I ordered the carmel french toast, turkey sausage and eggs scrambled with cheese. The carmel toast was exceptional. It was my favorite of everything I ordered. However, the turkey sausage was dry and the eggs were just okay. My guest had the truffle mac and cheese. Now the mac and cheese blew my mind. It was perfectly made. It wasn't too cheesy and had great flavors. The mimosas were good as well. I recommend giving this restaurant a try for the food and fun vibe with the DJs on both floors. The music may be loud at times so that's something to consider.

Yelp
I've been a few times. I'd recommend to go for drinks with friends and sit at the bar. The drinks are delicious and they usually have specials. I've been for brunch twice and it was just okay. The food was just okay and the service was fairly slow.

Yelp
I visited on Saturday with a party of 4 and as much as I loved the ambiance-music, decor, and warmth of the establishment, the service and food was severely lacking. Our waitress visited the table about 5 minutes after our initial sit down. The hostess brought us water while we waited to order. Our waitress took our order, drink and food, and we didn't see her anymore. The busboy and food runners are who helped us get silverware and order additional items. We saw our waitress, who was sitting at the bar, eating her lunch but she never checked to make sure we were good. The food was mediocre-I found that most items lacked salt. The Mac and cheese was flavorful and had great consistency but again lacked salt. I ordered the truffle Parmesan fries with my entree and had to salt them. We had to get someone to get our waitress to check out. When we received our tickets, we realized we had a service charge along with a 20% gratuity. While I understand automatic gratuity is necessary to ensure a sufficient wage for server staff, I also feel that it should be based on service.

Yelp
Fantastic $5 happy hour on Fridays! Everything from martinis, chicken wings and fries, to shots are all $5. The service was amazing, the music was great and they even bring in a DJ around 7! The vibes were top notch. Definitely ask for Courtney, she was our bartender! My only drawback was they're reservation only for that happy hour, and you're unlikely to be seated during your reservation time. Not a big deal, but just something to keep in mind-- book your happy hour early because it might be a 20min wait after your start time. Despite that, wonderful experience and I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Had a fun time hanging out at this River North establishment. It was a very nice day out and saw that they were having a day party at this venue so decided to venture on over there. plenty of paid street parking nearby. for this establishment you you can book a table on the OpenTable app in case you want to secure a spot for eating. Upon arrival, we did have to go through security, so that aspect is nice to a certain extent. We were promptly seated at the bar after getting through security to have a couple cocktails. For cocktails we ordered the porn star martini, and the sidecar cognac cocktail. We enjoyed our cocktails and they were priced appropriately for river north which is still too damn expensive. Downstairs the music vibe was good and chill. After enjoying our cocktails downstairs, we ventured upstairs where pretty much you're gonna get your cocktail in a plastic cup. The vibe upstairs was not really chill and the music was pumping the DJ was doing a good job of trying to play to the crowd. There was no seating upstairs unless you paid for VIP and dance floor was pretty small. Not that many people were dancing anyway. Probably spent a little under an hour upstairs had a cocktail got a couple dance songs in and then we left. Overall, a decent restaurant, bar, and nightclub. Not totally my vibe, but I did have a good time. I would come back and try their brunch and happy hour specials.

Yelp
Rating 3.5/5 We had a great server who immediately put us on to the Sunday brunch special of 2 free mimosas per person. What a great surprise! The ambience was also on point with the music selection. However, my chicken and waffles left more to be desired. The waffle was luke warm and a bit on the drier side. The Mac and Cheese was really good though!

Yelp
Food: I got the All American breakfast. Candied pork bacon was 10/10. Buttermilk pancakes: 8/10. Love the cinnamon sugar part. Eggs: 8/10 after hot sauce Potatoes: 4/10. Burnt. Pineapple mimosas were good. Light skinned :) Service: Our server was very attentive. Appreciate her. Ambiance: Causal

Carrie J.

Yelp
The food & drinks were delicious!! We had the All American breakfast, shrimp & grits , French toast, burgers and the margarita tower which was nice and strong! Service was a little short staffed that day, but they were all working so hard to get us everything. Very kind and quick. Beautiful ambiance, cute photo spots

Yelp
The food was okay wasn't sure about the hot wings so I got plain but it's like they fry it hard which I don't really like. Wish they had more food on the menu

Yelp
My Best Friend took me out to Chalet to celebrate my birthday. This was our 1st time at Chalet, and the experience was not the greatest. Ambiance/Vibe: Though the place was packed, it had a small, lively crowd. They also played decent music. Around 7:30pm, they dimmed the lights and turned up the music. I'm sure the place has a nice late night crowd/experience. Service: While we didn't have the most attentive server, I can't say that service was bad... just average. Drinks: This was probably the best part of our visit. I started with an Old Fashioned and my bestie had a Long Island. She really enjoyed her drink. She said it was STRONG, but flavorful. She enjoyed it so much that she had 2. For the price, my cocktail was TINY, but it was really good. After the Old Fashioned, I switched to the Manhattan. It, too, was bold but flavorful. Dinner: We started with Chips & Guac. The guacamole was good - nice and creamy. The chips were stale! They had that hard crunch like the bag had been left open for a few days. For dinner, I had the Crab Cakes and a Caesar Salad. My bestie had a Caesar Salad with Chicken. Our girl had BBQ Wings and a side of Fries. I'll start with the positive: my girl said the wings and fries were good. They were so good that we ended up getting another order of Buffalo wings and fries. The value isn't the best, though - $16 for 6 wingettes is kinda crazy (yeah, you read that right - they weren't full wings)! The salads were soaked, drenched, drowned, etc. in Caesar dressing. The salads come already dressed (well over-dressed) - big mistake! It was too the point where they weren't even enjoyable. We asked for another bowl of lettuce to mix with the salad - another big mistake. How the chef allowed the bowl of lettuce in the picture to come out of his kitchen is beyond comprehension. The concerning thing is if your undressed lettuce is this brown, that probably means that the lettuce dressed in the salad is this brown, too. The crab cakes were charred on one the side, which gave them a nice crust, but when I turned them over, I could see that they were burnt, not just charred. The crab meat that wasn't burnt had a decent flavor, though the sauce on them and on the accompanying lettuce was super sweet. I will say that we brought the lettuce to the attention of the manager after the meal, and she was very understanding and accommodating. She offered us a complimentary cocktail to rectify the issue, but we were already ready to go. We'd already paid the tab, but she did adjust it and remove the salads. I was thankful for that gesture. I LOVE supporting Black-owned businesses, so I really wanted to like this place. While I probably won't return, I encourage you to check it out for yourself. If you go, I strongly suggest you do happy hour for a better value/price and steer clear of the salads. #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad

Yelp
Came in for the $5 Friday happy hour. Don't be fooled by the menu. There is no $5 smash burger. Service was kinda slow, it took 20 minutes to get the wings. Nice place inside though.

Alana D.

Yelp
This place is super cute! Not too big and the service is good. The food was really delicious. We got the brunch board and it was a bit much for 2 ppl. Only complaint is that it gets a bit noisy on Sundays and the drinks were a bit weak for my taste. Overall a good experience. I would return.

Clara S.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday night to grab some dinner and drinks. The restaurant is very dark with loud hip-hop music, but that's exactly the environment we wanted on this particular night. Our service was great and timely - she even offered some games for us to play while we waited for food! Loved this idea and made the dining experience super fun. My spicy margarita was okay and nothing special, as was the rest of the meal. We got the boneless lemon pepper wings, which were much better than the garlic parmesan bone-in wings. These were way too salty. The ceasar salad and wings seemed like they came from dominos...not great quality or flavor. The fries were good though, especially the parmesan truffle fries. The buffalo mac and cheese was tasty but definitely on the saltier side as well.

Aymen S.

Yelp
Wings, Burger, Service all 5/5! Went here with some friends on a Sunday around noon and was greeted with complimentary champagne. That was a sign of good things to come. Food was great and our server was awesome. I'll be back!

Olivia C.

Yelp
Came here for a girls' brunch. The vibes were decent, but the food was just OK. I was hoping for something a little more elevated, but it feels like they've leaned more into the party crowd, which is fine but not what I was expecting. The drinks were good, and the servers were nice, though.

Kelsey C.

Yelp
Terrible service. We went for happy hour on a Friday, and had looked at their happy hour menu ahead of time on their website. We noticed we were getting charged for full price on the burger, even though the website said it was on the happy hour, and the waitress said "oh yeah that changed as of yesterday," and that the manager will not provide the discount (the menus that you scan on the table even had the discount listed). Just completely wrong. Why would you advertise foods on happy hour, then not provide the promised prices, and not even tell the tables ahead of time that the burger we clearly ordered from the happy hour menu was going to be full price? Seems like they're trying to drive away customers. I also will mention the service was soooo slow and it took forever for our waitress to even get our order. I was going to order more drinks and food but decided to forget it because of the poor/slow service. Will never come here again, there are way better places!!

Sara D.

Yelp
Would it give it a 0 if I could, I was running 20 minutes late due to the traffic from the weather and rush hour and had let the restaurant know ahead of time. When I arrived, I was met by a very rude host at the front who told me that I missed my reservation due to being late, even though I had notified the restaurant and there were multiple tables empty. This was also on Valentines Day...I made the reservation weeks in advance only for the host to have absolutely no empathy and proceed to be very rude and smile while I was in distress. Do not come here!

Susan D.

Yelp
One star for getting us sat on a Saturday without a reservation. Otherwise zero stars. We had a minor request of no bacon on our loaded fries and plain mac & cheese (no bread crumbs on top). We received loaded fries with bacon and mac and cheese with parsley and bread crumbs. Understanding mistakes happen our waitress offered to return it to the kitchen. My meal then came out ahead of the apps while the rest of the table sat and watched me eat. The Mac and cheese came back with the toppings simply stirred into it saying "this is as clean as we can make it" the fries that came back were cold, with nearly no toppings, while the first order looked great aside from having bacon on them. Our server seemed to have sensed we wouldn't be pleased and decided not to return to the table to check on us. $100 later we pay a bill that had an automatic 5% service charge and 20% gratuity with an additional screen asking if we would like to tip our server even more, while she stands right there. It seems to me I've already tipped you with the automated 20% gratuity that you did not earn. She watches saying " you have to say no tip if you want to go to the next screen". Absolutely uncomfortable. Will not return. Good luck keeping patrons returning, maybe this is more of tourist trap for unsuspecting idiots. It is no wonder the people are eating the cats, eating the dogs, establishments like this wouldn't get my hard earned money either.

Imani L.

Yelp
The vibe here is cool. Great music and a cute little set up. I did think the food was good but honestly it's your basic breakfast meal. Our table ordered the family servings thinking it would be enough but the portions were tiny. We all left feeling hungry and regretting not ordering individual meals. All in all, I would try it again, simply to try the individual meals and for the cute vibe but it's nothing that I would say people MUST experience.

Jared E.

Yelp
So let's talk about how you get 2 free mimosas to start with on Sunday. I say Sunday because I am here on a Sunday lol. It's actually Saturday and Sundays. The blueberry French toast was a 0/10.. not only was it burnt but it tasted like medicine. They were very friendly with allowing me to return and sub the item for something else. The Mac and cheese was the substitute and it was a 10/10. Right amount of cheese, seasoning, and baking. The turkey bacon was good and I would give it. 7/10 and the eggs became a 10 after I added some salt to it. The atmosphere is nice, with the outside open to allow a cool breeze to filter through the Restuarant. It would be a great place to bring friends or a brunch date to enjoy drinks, music and food. The interesting thing is that you do not have to be married to the brunch menu if you come for brunch. You can also order from the all day menu. The server is very attentive and was really nice and helpful. Stop by and check it out for yourself. The French toast were honestly the reason why I could not give it a 5 star review.

Angel c.

Yelp
Ordered the American Breakfast of which I asked for cheese on my eggs and was later told no modifications?!I asked for cheese not to substitute anything #Confused the potatoes were salty and the candied bacon soggy. Also ordered Garlic Parmesan wings tasted ok, Loved the white cosmo, shrimp and grits were good, the crab cakes were ok, Queso and chips dip was soupy. There is a 20% gratuity added of which we didn't know until we received the check. Overall the food was just ok definitely expected more. The ambiance was chill but slow motion and they weren't crowded at all. Expected a Dj at brunch none but they did have music playing. The menu lacks variety and overpriced. $28 for crab cakes, $20 dollars for all American breakfast and can't get cheese on the eggs, Queso with about10 chips $12, $16 six wings, $28 shrimp and grits,$18 white cosmo delicious.

Alesa W.

Yelp
Came for a work sponsored happy hour. There was about 15 of us, but despite our size our drink orders were taken quickly and came out relatively quickly. I will say though that I ordered a Manhattan and it came out with a small piece of of herb or green leaf floating in the drink that was too small to be intentional. We ordered food, and while it did take a while for it to come out ( somewhere close to 45 mins-1 hour), the happy hour sliders I had were good and everyone seemed fairly satisfied with their food. Overall chalet fit the bill for what we needed, but not sure I will be a regular.

Maesa I.

Yelp
Visited 3 times and every time was denied ordering food. I was just there and the bar tender denied me ordering food saying the kitchen closed at 8pm and last call was 7:45. It was 7:43. I don't know why they don't want me as a customer. Very terrible service.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and let me tell you, Chalet is such a cute vibe. Ordered the garlic parmesan and two rounds of side cars... the food and drinks were great...Now let me tell you about are bartender Courtney, she was so so nice, attentive and knowledgeable!!! Will be back .

Jenn T.

Yelp
Visited Chalet for a birthday brunch! Warm friendly welcoming feel from the moment you walk in. Service was amazing.. Great vibes and delicious food. I'll definitely be back!!

Marke F.

Yelp
It's a vibe! Scotti helped us decide on the menu by providing a clear description of food and beverages. The perfect spot to catch up with friends, catch the game and enjoy good music.

Faheem A.

Yelp
Excited to try Chalet because I had heard good things about it. I arrived at the restaurant at about 12:30 PM on a Sunday. I waited at least 5-10 minutes to be seated. Once seated it took the waitress, Morgan another 10-15 minutes to approach us and bring water. Immediately I knew that this restaurant lacked adequate customer service. The music was a vibe playing old to new school R&B. Finally we were able to put in our drink/food order. The first drink we both ordered was the Peach Trail, this drink I wouldn't recommend if you want more of a southern sweet taste. I tasted no liquor, thus I wasn't satisfied haha. It also was very bland, so I wouldn't recommend. My second drink was a Mezcal Margarita. This was very good. I was able to taste the smokiness of the Mezcal, but also taste the flavors of the Margarita. I order the All American Breakfast and my friend ordered the Sundays Scaries Scramble we both ordered a side of French Toast. After waiting 30 minutes for our food the French Toast arrived which was before the entrée. The food had some flavor but seemed to be sitting out a little before being brought to our table. Trabian, the manager was able to quickly rectify all of our issues and make this dining experience a satisfactory one. I'm rating this restaurant a 4 out of 5. I know that this location can offer more, it was just a bad day for them. The pricing of the food was great. You get a good amount of food for what you are paying. I can't wait to see what they offer for Dinner.

Aanchal B.

Yelp
My friends and I felt like we found a hidden gem! Nobody had heard of this place before but it is so cute! We came here for Sunday brunch and loved it- the menu does have limited options but we actually liked that so it made it easier to pick. Most of us got the Sunday Scaries (clever name!) , one got the nutella pancakes and the other got All American. The food was very flavorful and we also got the champagne tower where there were 4 different juices to add to the champagne which was neat. The place has two floors and super cute decor! I would definitely come back.

Maureen D.

Yelp
Music was fun, drinks were good but this is definitely more of a happy hour hit. We tried the sliders and they were tastier than expected but still a little dry. The service was prompt and very kind. Would return only for happy hour (7 dollar cocktails, the spicy margarita was good).

Tiffany J.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I randomly picked a restaurant in River North to go to and we were pleasantly surprised with Chalet. We got the après ski-let and a mimosa bottle. This was my first time ever trying bison and I loved it! The restaurant is themed like a ski lodge and and had really good music. They were also hosting an event upstairs that sounded like a lot of fun. Our waitress was very nice and fun and the service was quick. We did not have reservations but I would recommend them because the restaurant did fill up pretty quickly after we arrived.

Briana H.

Yelp
The food was great, but the service was horrible! We were a larger party but the place was not busy. The space is cute, but I wouldn't go back because the service was extremely bad. Servers not attentive and on their phones. We had people in our party waiting for silverware to eat and had to ask the server several times. Her food was cold by the time she did receive the silverware. The drinks weren't good, don't waste your time or money to visit this place.

Alanna Q.

Yelp
Obviously we had to get espresso martinis at Chalet! We sat upstairs at the bar which was so lovely and ski themed. We got truffle fries and a flat bread. So yummy. I will say it was a little expensive for the 2 apps we got. So I might make different choices next time. The bathroom upstairs was also broken which was odd. Over all the wait staff was super nice. And it was a great place to start the night.

Aliya B.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. I liked the shrimp a lot! Wings were nice and meaty, maybe a little too much but great buffalo flavor. Service wasn't the best as they had us move seats 3 times but ambiance was nice. Vibe is a lounge spot and they have DJ's some nights so if you're looking for a chill food spot I'd recommend!

Cassandra C.

Yelp
We made reservations for a Friday night and glad we did - it was packed! We were seated upstairs on high tops for a party of 3. We had their pumpkin spice martini and espresso martini - so good! Also shared some fries, French onion soup, and flatbread. Everything was delicious and would definitely come back!

Tommi M.

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience at Chalet. The food was really good and the servers and hostess were all very polite. The music consisted of hip hop, RnB and Afrobeats and the volume wasn't overwhelming. It was loud enough to still have a conversation with friends.

Jessica W.

Yelp
Okay - I really only do reviews when it's worth it and when I tell you Chalet is that spot!!!!! Whew! Being from Los Angeles, we were looking for a spot with great food and the vibes.....Chalet is all of that! The establishment itself is super cute! The music is always a vibe, the staff, especially Tay, is super sweet and welcoming. Big shoutout to Tay! The food is great and very filling. The drink selection is great, you can find anything you like. They do have TV's where you can watch sports and chill. We came back twice on our weekend getaway! Once for brunch and then dinner, all food amazing! Chicago is a beautiful city and Chalet adds to that beauty. Can we please have a Chalet in LA?!?!?!

Keyanna S.

Yelp
The food was great and Alyssa and Aubria was so amazing!! They made out time their and the vibe that much better. The shrimp and grits were the right type of spicy and the brunch board had more than enough. I can't wait to come back and try more!

Nigayla A.

Yelp
All American Breakfast was great. However, the scrambled eggs could use more seasoning. My party sat at the bar and the service was great.

M. Tiffany B.

Yelp
Highly enjoy the atmosphere here and for basic bar food, it's surprisingly good. They even have an upstairs with additional seating and more music. So, whether you drop in for a quick bite or cocktail it's definitely worth a visit.

Stacy H.

Yelp
(3.5 rating) Came here with three other friends on a Saturday night during restaurant week. We had a reservation for 6:45 but we had to wait an additional 15 minutes, which was annoying. When we were seated, we realized some plates were dirty so definitely recommend everyone check their plates because this apparently happened last time to a few of my friends! For the first course, I got the shrimp skewers but shared with another friend who got the beef. Both were delicious, tender, and flavorful. Next, I got the duck poutine. I'm usually not a huge fan of duck but this was great! The fries were crispy but wish there was more poutine. For the flatbread, I got the italian - it was disappointing to hear they ran out of the truffle one. It was good but I think I would've rather gotten the chicken pesto. Lastly, for dessert, got the bread pudding which came with a side of vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was half melted but the bread pudding was amazing! Could've eaten 5 of these. There was an already added service surcharge of 20% which was unexpected given we were only 4 people but understandable. Our waitress was super nice too - shout-out to Natalie A. Overall, I probably won't be back unless someone asked!

Yanett S.

Yelp
I don't usually rave, and especially not about some wings... but these were actually worth raving about. Perfectly cooked, sauce (buffalo hot) was delicious, juicy.. will definitely come back for some wings.

Jack G.

Yelp
Great espresso martini happy hour. Great wait staff (we had Liz). Cool lighting, warm Edison bulbs.

Yelp
The first beautiful weekend in Chicago and I had the chance to check out this ski resort inspired restaurant and bar in the heart of river north! The vibes, service, food, and drinks were all top notch. We started out with our fav bar food apps and were so pleased. The Mac and cheese was AMAZING! The creaminess of the cheese perfectly balanced the crunchy breadcrumbs on top. The VEGAN aioli was the bomb.com with the Cauliflower Florets For entrees, we for the vegan ash burger and the italiano flatbread with no meat. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and easily were able to adjust the menu to meet our dietary needs. The burger came with a huge side of curly fries that were freshly fried and so crispy! Even though we barely had room for dessert, our server recommended the banana foster dessert and boy am I glad we got it!! Okay hear me out- I usually don't go for the desserts with fruit in them, but this blew me away!! The caramel, cake, banana, ice cream combo was unbeatable. Truly couldn't stop eating it. And so much fresh fruit!! So it's technically healthy right. Also, it was happy hour when we went so we decided to try the espresso martini and it was sweet went down so easy! It had the perfect amount of coffee. Overall, we had a great experience and can't wIt to bring our friends back! If you've been looking for a good happy hour place- this is it. They have great food and drink deals, along with a full bar and multiple tvs for those sports lovers.

Yelp
Why would you serve these wings without a disclaimer let alone have the audacity to even purchase this poultry from your vendor? This was disrespectful and not a good look. Each "wing" was 1.5 bites, if that! Reggie's on state street would neva! The drinks were late af. We almost finished the food by time the drinks arrived even though we ordered it at the same time. Make sure all menu items are in stock for the week. It was Saturday, you can't be out of 2 of the 5 items on the late night menu. Automatic gratuity needs to be removed until the service is above par. Also to ask us to close out the bill and the drinks had not arrived yet, is inappropriate. Chalet, do better.
