Chalet Piereni

"The delicious cuisine served at this restaurant is the only thing that could possibly distract from the beauty of its delightful natural setting. Typical local produce takes pride of place in the regional fare served here, which includes special dishes for younger diners." - Michelin Inspector

Typical chalet with wonderful view. Really relaxing, very quiet. Waiters really nice, really good recipes from the tradition. Fair price

Chalet Piereni is in a dreamy location and this already sets you in a good mood for their hearty and generous home-style cuisine. ||||I would go back again and again just for their canederli trio, which are the best I've ever tried without the use of "luxury" ingredients (such as truffle): moist, incredibly tasty (they come in three varieties: cheese, beetroot, speck), and lusciously dressed with butter and parmesan.||||In the course of two visit (it was out favourite choice to recover from our long walks in the mountains...), we also tried their soups, an asparagus velouté deeply enriched by finely chopped speck, and a humble leek and potato equally enriched by the "Puzzone di Moena" cheese.||||A grilled "tosela" with polenta and field mushrooms was good although after a while the taste experience begins to be a little dull - we preferred another version of the dish with local sausage. A pasta with porcini ("old style" with cream, but not too much) was very tasty with a generous amount of the splendid mushrooms (obviously preserved given the season, but good quality), and the pasta was nicely cooked.||||Service is polite and friendly. If you can eat outside, do it as the view is fabulous, but also the inside room in alpine style is cute. Prices are super-friendly in view of quality and quantity.

4 stars for the location, the view and the kindness of the staff. Food is average, traditional local food such as polenta, meat, fresh pasta, but good and not expensive. The view is really stunning! It is quite big and you can also sleep there.

We have been visiting Chalet Piereni almost every year since some friends first took us there almost 15 years ago. The Chalet is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the majestic views of the Dolomites and the Val Canali. No other place in the valley offers such spectacular views. The Chalet is clean, the decor reflects its mountain location, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Moreover, the Chalet has remained in the same family for several decades, which explains its high consistency over the years. One can take a number of hikes in the area of various lengths and difficulties, then spend the afternoon looking out over the valley with a glass of wine and plate of cheese. Dinners are equally as nice with dishes made from local ingredients that are in season. This is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Moreover, we will continue to return to the Chalet every summer.

Very beautiful location for a restaurant (with also rooms) where to spend some quality time for a lunch or a dinner. The view is amazing, the many is very local and the food quality is good. The service could be improved but is ok. During the summer the outside terrace makes the guests very comfy. Prices ok.

I would go back again and again just for their incredible canederli, some of the best I've ever eaten. For traditional, local cuisine, hard to find better in the area. Prices are extremely reasonable. And the location is just fantastic.

Perfect position. The perfect point to begin a trekking trial to explore the San Martino di Castrozza, the sentiero Polina, to arrive till rifugio Petina or simply go through the Polina trail. Excellent food. La pasta con il ragù selvaggina è Top! Dolci dessert really a must!!! Owner and service all top!!! Super recommended!

Amazing beautiful location in the Italian Alps. There are cows with cowbells and you expect Julie Andrews coming running across the green meadow singing! This place is a treasure allowing you to truly get away from crowds and tourists as there are few people and the only activities are hiking, eating, drinking and sleeping. The Chalet is lovely, the food is amazing, staff are friendly and extremely helpful and the price is unbelievably low. We found out about this from Italians and consider it one of the best vacations finds of our life.
