Had a layover so chose this cafe . Was hoping to have breakfast but I missed the slot so I ordered lunch and a cocktail. I can’t recall the drink I ordered but it was very good, I also ordered the Grilled Chicken BLT with a side of fruits and it came with house fries. The fries were a bit stale and weren’t needed with my meal. Overall the meal was good. Atmosphere was okay for the time being and the attendant was nice & efficient.

For limited options in one of the busiest terminals in one of the busiest airports in the US... The Chalice Cafe stands out! It's not a huge menu but the turkey avocado wrap came to my table in about 4 minutes and was fresh and delicious. Courtney was friendly and very efficient with the table service. The bartenders were kind and friendly too. The team works well together and in a small place and a busy terminal work together to provide a really good experience.

I walked in to the cafe with a to go drink with less than half remaining from another restaurant in the airport with the intention of ordering another drink. I was loudly yelled at by a member of staff stating “you can’t bring that in here” I told her I would finish it quickly and order another drink. She seemed very put out and inconvenienced to serve me. Also note there are no signs visible saying that drinks from other establishments were not allowed. This experience again confirms that I will avoid flying into Charlotte-Douglas if at all possible.

Pleasant alternative to the the Starbucks next door. There were tables while we waited through flight cancellations and plenty of coffee. Pricey, but what do you expect from the airport.

Google
It was a very crowded and busy day at CLT. We needed someplace to sit and eat our food, and this seemed to be the only option. We could sit at their table if we ordered something. So we did. Please be aware they do not list their prices in the menu. I had a simple mixed drink and my daughter ordered a bloody mary. They fail to tell you upon ordering that the bloody mary is a double cocktail!!!? So when you get your bill, it is for a double and almost $24 for a crummy bloody mary. I am aware airport prices are higher but this is absolute highway robbery, or should I say airport robbery in plain sight. Service was good, but i am still in sticker shock 5 days after for the price.

Good food and quick service. Only downside is there’s just one server, so you may need to be a bit proactive if you want a refill or the check.

Google
Typical airport food. Wilted Caesars with bottle dressing. Oversalted BLTs and Cobb salads. And wimpy flatbreads... Although, the vegetable one was actually quite tasty. But gosh how can I be a sour puss.? Plane was delayed 3 and 1/2 hours so I got stuck here... And surprise surprise, an amazingly curated '70s playlist playing overhead on a pretty decent speaker system. Really kind of nice. I've got to ask if it's Spotify, or what?... I'm nostalgically enjoying a glass of wine and memories of high school and my first two years of college. So how fun is that? Also they have a fun little line list... Actually discovered a newTempranillo(Marques de Caceres). Plus the wait staff is fast friendly and intelligent. So what's not to like? If you're in terminal C and you're waiting for a plane this is not a bad place to be.

Google
Just witnessed an amazing job by both the server and the manager in dealing with someone who had too much to drink or more and was inappropriate with his comments towards the young lady bartending. Great job by both of them letting him know he would not be getting served and it was for his own safety. The Jedi mind trick worked and he left with out incident. Both employees should be proud of how they handled it and a stark reminder of how much stuff restaurant and bar workers deal with on a daily basis. Always overtip your server.

Yelp
It's 5 o clock somewhere right so I got a drink here. 20 dollar margarita of 1800. At first i thought that is crazy .. but it literally hit so I'm good with that.

Yelp
This a tiny gem in the Charlotte airport. Not saying what terminal or gate, you're going to have to find it yourself ;) Only about 15 seats and super busy at lunchtime, so make sure you have wait time available in your schedule. There's a small bar with full liquor, a decent wine selection and beer as well. The menu is limited but the quality is high. It's cute and a step away from the usual airport stuff a like a street cafe in your local town. Service was terrific both of our visits.

Yelp
It's super expensive, as you would expect in an airport. Food was ok. Service was average. Very little room for carryon luggage. They do have wall charging if you can snag a seat by the wall. They have a bar and a few tables.

Carly P.

Yelp
Nice enough for an airport but I've just paid $60 for two glasses of wine!!!!!!! Eek. Bit OTT

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here in the Charlotte Airport for a quick bite to eat. We split a chicken pesto flatbread pizza that was decent for airport food. It sounded like we were lucky we could order what we wanted from the menu due to ingredient shortage and even a shortage in kitchen staff. It held us over until our next meal. Expect typical airport food and alcohol prices here.

Yelp
Had some time during my layover so stopped by for some lunch! It was a cute little place. The vibe was nice and the staff was really friendly. It's a bit small but I loved the selections on the menu and throughly enjoyed a quick stop before my next flight.

Brittany J.

Yelp
Great service and food! Less crowded than other places, making it an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
While traveling early morning, we stopped into this establishment and wanted to grab a bite to eat and coffee. I asked the waitress/cashier if they had coffee and she responded with , "Can you go to one of the places that serve coffee, I only brewed one pot for our customers here in the restaurant." I was basically refused service. She did not take the time to find out if I wanted food with my coffee. There is no excuse, that is horrible customer service. Can't honestly rate the food, because I wasn't given the opportunity to purchase anything.

Yelp
Right across from Gate C8, I wanted to order food but boarding for my flight started earlier than predicted. I'm a big fan of Stella Artois, but didn't expect that the restaurant would have a nice offering of vegetarian friendly options. Going to stop in again on my way thru Charlotte. For now I'm giving it 5 stars based on an overall impression and because this place proves once again that Stella Artois is a class brand.

Yelp
Worst customer service i have ever experienced! Will never be returning. Incredibly disappointed. Talked about other customers who were previously sitting next to us after they left. Incredibly unprofessional. If they talk that way in front of customers who knows how they talk with none around.

Tyler H.

Yelp
The bartenders are some of the most rude people I've ever met. I asked for a drink and requested they turn one Of the 2 tvs to a soccer final and was told No, despite me being one of the 3 people in the entire bar
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
It's actually the Chalice Cafe, not "Stella's Cafe" but we'll let that go. If you've seen a Stella Artois commercial and heard the line "It's not a glass, it's a chalice" then you'll know what I mean. This little spot is definitely out of place in the airport. A cheese plate with four different kinds of cheese with marcona almonds? A greek wedge with smoked bacon and feta on iceberg? And that sliced steak with blue cheese and dijon aioli? How did that land in the C concourse? I stopped in for a Stella and the mozarella caprese, which was excellent. Not cheap but very good and way classier than a lot of the usual airport food. If you have a layover and you're looking for decent, this is your spot. [Review 10657 overall, 425 of 2019.]

Yelp
A lot of poor reviews are reflecting service. I visited today and had the BEST breakfast flatbread and great attentive service. I hate the ratings have been reflective from previous service, but it was well worth it. (I also never do reviews, felt this deserved it).

Yelp
I came here during a long layover last December and had an enjoyable experience. When my flight got changed this December and I had a long layover, I hoped this place was open for me to visit again. I was happy to find that not only it was open but it was near my gate. It still had the same great service and drink/meal options as last year (with some Covid modifications). Seating is spaced out for social distancing and the food and drinks come in plastic containers. There are multiple outlets and USB ports for charging so you can be on your phone with no concerns while enjoying your beer. My food was pretty good and my food last year (fresh eggs with fruit) was great. It's a cute, comfortable spot to hang out and possibly have a good conversation, if you're so inclined.

Yelp
Have you just time traveled, on a flight from the west coast to the east? Welcome to the future. This very chic cafe is it. I was feeling absolutely miserable after taking a red eye flight at midnight, losing two hours, sleeping for one hour on the flight and another hour on the floor of the airport. Then we took a walk and found this gem. It really helped! When we showed up there was a lone traveler in the cafe. Within 15 minutes every seat was full. "Is there a wait list" one wannabe diner inquired? "No, we don't have a wait list, it's just what you can find when you can find it," Stella politely said, knowing that her concerns were the butts currently in seats, not letting outside noise intrude on our oasis of good vibes. The food was okay and service excellent and the vibes were the toppest. Did I mention they have beer? Get in on the ground floor, beer cafes are the future.

Yelp
Barely made it for food before the chef went on break, but the chicken pesto flatbread was darn good! Service was also fabulous.

Yelp
The waitress Tonya was so rude. I don't think she realizes she's in a service role. Horrible service, Seemed so frustrated that she had to wait on anyone.

Sharon C.

Yelp
The good and the bad. Good-- Service from Jeff at the bar... he was actually very good. Bad-- The prices. But you can expect that at the airport. I just expected either more in quality or less in price from a small too brightly lit cafe with uncomfortable chairs. Greek wedge had a tasty dressing but the chicken was packaged.. warm and tasty but...Frankly everything was packaged. Overall not a bad choice for an airport place but it could be so much more. Serving a few pita chips too with the salad might've been a nice touch although they too should be authentic & fresh.

Olivia W.

Yelp
Tonya. I already left a google review for you my friend. There is so reason to behave in such a way when you are in a service role. I thought people ere supposed to be nice and helpful when trying to earn tips. Absolutely no reason to kick people out of your restaurant. this is an airport not a bar with a line of 40 people waiting to get in. if you didn't want us to eat, okay ask nicely. the rules aren't posted on the wall. not my fault you applied for a job in the airport. get over yourself.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
Friendly, friendly and fabulous! It's really the Chalice Cafe - it isn't only a craft beer bar or Mediterranean restaurant. Full bar with an EXCELLENT bartender-Jeff Harris is so joyful and friendly, he really helped make a long delay less painful. Flatbread was lite and good. People watching was spectacular! Seriously, stop by and see Jeff. Nice guy and works hard!!!

Yelp
Decent menu with terrible service. My husband and I came here for take out before a flight. The bartender Kaylee is absolutely miserable, rude and downright angry. She started to argue with me about a drink charge which she was not clear about in the first place, thinking that I just knew all bloody Mary's were double shots - whatever, she or the argument was not worth my time. Kaylee gave off a bad vibe to everyone that sat down and it was awkward, she was actually complaining to customers about how bad her week had been. If you don't like your job, find another one don't bring other people down because your miserable.

Yelp
This was such a huge pleasant surprise for airport food. It took me a few minutes to decide what to eat because it all looks amazi g! Flatbread was quick...hot and fresh and the bartender went above and beyond. Super chill and relaxing place to grab a quick bite and a drink. I will be back and highly recommend!

Darrell H.

Yelp
This place is the worst I have ever been to.. avoid this place at all cost!!! Very rude staff and the prices are outrageous.. if I you could give it a minus -5 that ya what it would be!!! Be forewarned stay away!!

Yelp
Had a hour layover here and wanted a sit down breakfast. I stumbled on this cute, bright, red and white cafe that provided table service breakfast until next flight. What did I have you ask? Vegetable frittata with sourdough toast with coffee, it was delicious and totaled $16.

Yelp
Really nice and convenient, good small eats. Had the chicken and artichoke sandwich and some of the local beer, was super cheap for a airport. Great male bartender, skinny grey hair buzz cut, was very nice and good bartender.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick snack while changing flight in Charlotte. This cafe (the name is not readily posted anywhere) is located in an area of the C Terminal undergoing renovation. There is bar seating as well as a limited number of tables with service. The full bar has a good selection of beers on tap and in bottles. The menu is limited to appetizers, flatbreads and sandwiches. I had the chicken BLT on ciabatta with a creamy tomato soup instead of chips. Accompanied by a Stella Artois, it was tasty and just the right size to get me through my next flight. My quick snack was $30, but I guess that's airport pricing!

Yelp
I arrived in Charlotte, NC airport during a layover. I couldn't remember if been to this airport. I may have. But to my delight. I saw this restaurant and saw the choices or meals and the aroma or this place drew me into to greet with the hot... And I knew right then and there this was my mind of cafē. I also learn something new about how they pour the wine! Afte4 20 years I never knew service wine by oz. Except at the wineries. The wine I had was Altitude Chardonnay and Flatbread Tomatoes & Basil. Soi really enjoy my visit while my layover is jus5 across Gate 8! I am really, please!!! Thank you for your generous hospitality.!!!! It I come across for a layover, I will definitely come back as a neighbor.

Yelp
Great service by Maria! She greats you with a smile and sweet spirit. This place has a great vibe and feel. Cool modern white clean decor with nice beer selections, wine and cocktails. All tables and main bar have a charging ports too! Salads, flatbreads and sandwiches, etc. Perfect for a bite before a flight. Thanks Maria!

Monisha M.

Yelp
On my travels back home I stopped at chalice cafe for a drink and some lunch. To my disbelief the lady at the counter said they didn't accept out of state ID for alcoholic beverages. I don't understand how you can operate in an airport where millions of travelers pass through and not accept out of state ID. I am still very baffled by this, makes me wonder how it's possible or if the lady just didn't want to serve me. You can't tell me they turn away all that business because people are from out of state! I'd like to speak with someone about it but of course there's no way to contact them.

Julia A.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant - not just a great airport restaurant. The flatbread was excellent! Amazing staff, great food and really feels like you are away from all the chaos of terminal C.

Jamie M.

Yelp
Chicken Caesar salad was below average. Chicken tasted like cheap bagged fully cooked strips from grocery store. Wilted lettuce. Over-priced. Place was empty but "Manager" asked me to move my laptop from a table where it was charging. Great waitress couldn't make up for the rest of the experience. Do not recommend.
