The Best Brazilian Restaurants in the Northeast | Eater Philly

"At the northernmost point where Castor merges with Bustleton Avenue, I find Chamas de Minas — part bakery, steakhouse, and pizza shop — but the standalone bakery is what sets it apart, offering a wide variety of Brazilian and French breads, rolls, and pastries plus hot items like coxinha and risole (fried risotto balls). I recommend the Brazilian-style carrot cake, which is a more decadent chocolate style that still includes carrots, and pairing any pastry with a cup of imported Pilao coffee — and on the way out don’t forget to say, 'Obrigado e tchau.'" - Amanda Stahl

Unfortunately the food only look good. I spend $29 dollars + tip ( 2 coxinhas, pão doce, cake) everything tasting old and raw. I could barely sleep at night with pain on my stomach then i end up having diarrhea. I highly advice them to make less and fry as the client get there. Make smaller cake to be serve and less bread too. They should also put the date it was fabricated. I am worried that i was contaminated since i feel so sick after i ate.

I didn't know this place very well, but it surprised me, I liked the food, I ordered a lemon juice (but I drank it so fast I didn't even take the photo lol) 9/10 Rate

The best Brazilian bakery in Philly. Amazing pão de queijo. Open 5am to 11pm. Maybe they could add coxinha with original catupiry to menu 🇧🇷

Fantastic pizza and breads. Also unique and inexpensive steak sandwiches.

Cakes used to be delicious with thick fillings. Lately, cakes are dry with thin layer for fillings. Very disappointing and a shame.

Great place, I like to drink my morning coffe there. They know how to make a good espresso. And i love the dessert they have there called Flan.
