Miami’s 13 Best Thai Restaurants | Eater Miami

"A New York City favorite, this offshoot of SriPraPhai has set up shop in the most unassuming locations in South Florida: a strip mall across the street from The Falls shopping mall. Its massive menu features both Japanese and Thai dishes, but its Thai cuisine is where it shines. Opt for the sticky rice, drunken noodles, and the it-hurts-so-good spicy papaya salad." - Amber Love Bond

Went here with a group of 8. The food and service was excellent. We went at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday so it was very slow. I ordered the small sashimi platter (14 pieces for $24). I also ordered a green papaya salad for the table. Some tried it who had never had it before and they loved it. My friends ordered the ginger chicken, the red curry chicken, the mushroom and chicken soup, and the dragon roll. Everyone ate every bite. It was excellent. I would definitely go back again. Very reasonable prices and excellent food.

Did had expectations on my food it will be different because Thai food is different from other Asian food.... I really like the experience. The food was excellent...

So sad to learn they’re no longer around. My favorite Thai restaurant in South Florida. It was a go-to spot for my family. I’m wishing the Chana Thai team all the best, and I hope they open again in the future.

Google
Lovely little gem of a restaurant across from The Falls. I enjoyed the green curry with chicken and brown rice (my choice) along with the spicy soup and spring roll for lunch. Hit the spot. I will come again.

Google
Decent Thai food - many menu options but flavors aren't as noticiable in some dishes. Could hardly taste anything in the pad see ew with pork, but noodles were cooked well. Service could be improved - When I called, the person answered with "hello," I had to ask if I called the right place before placing my pick up order. When my partner picked up the food he had to call me to verify the order because they didn't write my name down fully.

Great blend of Thai dishes and sushi. We ordered red curry, drunken noodles, and a sushi roll- all were fantastic! Highly recommend this little gem

Google
This place houses modern Thai-Japanese cuisine. Chana Thai is one of my brother’s favorite places to go for Thai food. They have plenty of options here. From sushi rolls, Thai appetizers, and various entrees. For lunch, they offer a $15 lunch box special which is a good bargain for what comes with it. The food and staff are great here. Our waiter recommended the salmon tartar for an appetizer and it had great flavor. Normally for appetizers, I like to order the Firecracker Tuna, curry puff, salmon tacos, and the classic chicken satay with peanut sauce. I’ve had chicken satay so many times in my life and I never get tired of it. We also ordered a tuna roll which was tasty. No matter what, I always order the vegetable fried rice and some sort of chicken curry. Two Thai staples that get the job done in terms of carbs and protein. Who can go wrong with fried rice and chicken. Exactly it’s that good.9/10 I always take leftovers home to go because I don’t want it to go to waste and I like to reuse the bags with the yellow smiley faces that tell me to have a nice day.

Delicious! Our first time! I wish we had Thai food in either Livingston or Huntsville 😩 we have to drive at least an hour for Thai food

Yelp
The ambiance here is basic.. fine for lunch, not really what I prefer for a date night, but good for dinner with the kids. Someone recently recommended Chana to me, saying that it was the best sushi in Miami, so I really wanted to try it out.. can't say I left feeling the same, but it was good. The service was good and food came out quickly. The place was empty when we arrived around 6:15 on Friday, but they were pumping out carry-out orders. We were done in less than an hour, and by then there were three other tables filled. We ordered a couple of beers, 3 specialty rolls (Sea of Love, Black Dragon, Melting Roll) and 1 hand roll (salmon). The sushi quality and taste was very good but the roll pieces were falling apart when picked up which was a little annoying. We're looking forward to coming back to try their Thai food.

Yelp
Oh, Chana, have you declined. Came here on a Friday for lunch with my partner in crime. The place was empty when we arrived. Nice music was playing. Nina, who, by the way, was the highlight of our visit took our order. I got the drunken noodles lunch special from their lunch menu and a beer. I ordered the noodles medium heat. I sat and waited in anticipation for my spicy, flavorful noodles. First came out a fried spring roll and soup. Which were ok. I'm not sure what the spring roll was filled with because it was thin and not much filling. The soup was ok, nothing special. Then the moment I was waiting for! My noodles arrived. I looked down at my plate, and I immediately knew I was going to be in for a diaspointment. The color was pale, and the plate was full of oil. Now, I have had these noodles elsewhere before. I know they tend to be greasy, but the flavors of the spicy sauce pop. Unfortunately, these noodles missed the mark. They were as bland as bland can be. All I tasted was oil. I asked for some chili peppers, hoping they would help. I was given chili flakes, and I sprinkled a bunch on. No heat, the chili flakes had no heat! I asked for hot sauce as a hail Mary because I was starving. The wonderful Nina came back from the kitchen to tell me they didn't have any. I tried to eat a bit, but there was no way I could take another bite of that dish. I pushed it aside. Nina came and asked if I wanted it to go, and I said no, and I explained to her that it was way too oily and had no flavor. She asked it I wanted something else. After seeing my BF dish of cashew tofu and the fact that he didn't like his, I declined. She went back to the kitchen and told them what my issue was with the dish, and she came back and apologetically said that they told her that's the way the dish is made and would not remove it from the check. My BF paid for the meal, and when we walked out, I looked at the check, and our $13 lunch specials were actually $15 each. It is very sad that this restaurant has taken a turn for the worse.

Yelp
Out recent visit to Chana Thai was, unfortunately, far from satisfactory. Despite the excellent service provided by Nicki, our server, the quality of the food left much to be desired. To start, the discrepancy between the lunch prices listed as $13.00 and the actual charge of $15.00 per plate was an unpleasant surprise. Adding to the disappointment was the inability to make substitutions, denying the opportunity to try their miso soup, the only vegetarian option available. The dishes themselves were a letdown. The drunken noodles lacked any discernible flavor and were drenched in oil, making them nearly inedible. The Cashew Nut dish with tofu and pineapples was disappointingly thin and excessively sweet, far from the balanced flavors one would expect from a Thai dish. When expressing out dissatisfaction to the waitress, the response from the cook, asserting that the dishes were made as intended, was disheartening. The refusal to acknowledge or address the concerns about the lack of taste and quality in the food was particularly disappointing. Regrettably, this experience has left us with no desires to return to Chana Thai. While Nicki's service was commendable, the subpar food quality and the dismissive response to feedback on the dishes overshadowed any positives from the visit.

Yelp
Usually come here for thai food, our waittress was the only one on shift, however she stilled served us and everyone in the restaurant with great service ! The interior is a nice theme, i liked the design. We ordered the tuna nachos, we asked to replace the tuna for salmon and they were able to accomodate our request! The tuna nachos were amazing, freshly made chips, guac had alot of flavor, salmon was fresh. Kamikaze roll was good too, i loved the seared salmon on top and crispy shrimp tempura. Next we ordered thai ice coffee and thai tea, and i have to say, i love the liquid brown sugar inside the cups, it gave more flavor, and tastes awesome as always. Got the pad see ew next, it tasted great, noodles were nice and soft, and my favorite part was how the beef pieces were so juicy and tender ! Lastly we ordered a volcano roll, i dont recommend it, had too much mayo to the mix, and i think it should be baked more to be crispy, as you can see in the photo, it is just a mix thrown on top. Overall it was an amazing experience ! I recommend everyone to come try it out, they also have a lunch menu !

Yelp
We were out on a girls shopping spree and decided for Thai. We opted for a new restaurant as it one of our favorite cuisines. We found a little restaurant nestled in a shopping strip with a trip advisor logo. Well, not this time. Food all came out in a wrong sequence. Seems restaurants are more concentrated on filling take out- orders than in door dining customers. This is sad..The papaya salad was too lemony. The sushi rolls tiny.. The volcano chicken was ok and just a small portion. The Pad Thai was good, I have had better. These are our favorite dishes. Don't think I will return to check on other offered dishes.

Yelp
Six of us came for dinner. We had: Curry puffs Beef fried rice Dragon King roll x 2 Shrimp tempura roll Melty roll - warm & delicious! Mango tango roll Everyone enjoyed the food and we got my nephew to try raw fish for the first time! I told him to put a whole piece of the Melty roll in his mouth. He lived it and said it was his favorite roll of the night. He normally only eats California rolls! Had a great time & left full but not stuffed. Food came out quickly once we ordered.

Yelp
Chana has some of the best authentic Thai food. Definitely recommend. The basil chicken is delicious.

Emi K.

Yelp
This is our favorite Thai restaurant and we have been regulars. The food is great, the price is reasonable, the service is excellent our favorite dishes are, curry puffs, beef noodle soup, crispy pork belly with basil, honey BBQ pork... The place is nice and calm, and they usually play relaxing zen type of music.

Yelp
I have never been tempted by sushi. Never ever. But I felt a little wild, especially since I was invited lol, and tried out Chana. I had the novice sushi roll - Dragon King Roll. It was perfect! The tempura shrimp were lightly fried to perfection and rather large. All the ingredients tasted so fresh and appealing to this former sushi virgin. For appetizer I had Edamame, very good. And of course we couldn't leave without the Thai donuts - yummmmmmm. As a dumb American I would've appreciated some coffee with my dessert. But no such luck lol. ‍ I will be back. Perhaps I'll be more adventurous with my sushi next time. I'll keep you posted!

Yelp
This is one of our go to place for good food. The miso soup is delicious and not to salty. If you love tuna try the tuna salad, edamame, PAD*GRA*TIEM*PRIK*TAI pork, GANG*DANG, and CHA*TA*LAY are all our favorites.
google avatar

Yelp
Racist.... Second time and this was the last....... We showed up as a party of 5..... 2 adults and 3 kids (Latino) we had to wait long to be sat... no problem... that's the norm in some places. When we sat, other tables were served water as SOON as they arrived. We had to ask for assistance several times before we were attended. By then, we had no desire to eat. Too bad I can't put negative ONE. Disregard me all you want, DO NOT do it kids!!!!! Racist workers, Asians what ever.... Don't go if you ain't white or a favorite to them
google avatar

Deby V.

Yelp
This place is delicious! I'm so glad I came here for my takeout meal! Thai donuts melt in your mouth. Best massaman curry ever! Chicken was so tender and the curry was so good i could've eaten it alone with rice. The dragon king sushi roll was amazing too. Will be back soon!
google avatar

Sergio T.

Yelp
My wife and I were craving some Thai cuisine and we found Chana on Yelp. The atmosphere is really nice. With peaceful music and attentive staff. I ordered the Edamame which was delicious. Sadly, they don't make the Edamame in any other way than just the classic flavour. The dragon roll was really good but I've had bigger dragon roll pieces for the same price in other places. The Vegan Roll was really good and so was the California roll. **Keep in mind this place does NOT use imitation crab for it's Cali rolls and my wife had a slight allergic reaction but she's is fine** The Pad Thai was okay. Lacked some flavor. We'll definitely be back to try some more of their sushi
google avatar

Claudia J.

Yelp
Consistent place with great flavors. They have extended their menu on the sushi/rolls side. Appetizers and pad thai are great. Flavors are different from other thai places, different good though! Rolls are awesome! A bit on the small side but flavors and combinations are good. Orderes some with shrimp tempura, avocado, panko on top, they were all good! See pictures. The soup was ok, it was a bit too lemony.

Yelp
Divine little hole in the wall. My husband and I wondered in here after trying to get a table at Samurai and being told there was a two hour wait. Let me tell you this place is divine. It's become a staple in our local casual date nights/take out rotation. Highly recommend the fried rice and the garlic and pepper shrimp. My only complain is that the shrimp had the tails on and I hate struggling with my food - but the flavor and how well cooked it all was made it worth it.

Yelp
5 stars for service, 5 stars for food, and 5 stars for ambiance!! We had delicious appetizers, sushi, and entrees. The crispy pork belly was incredible - thanks to our sweet waiter for the recommendation. Oh and I can't forget about the Thai tea and Thai donuts. They were so good we got another order.

Kelly O.

Yelp
I found was the wrong sushi roll that i did order because i got the dragon premium and the sushi was like whatever California sushi roll and my husband said it was the worst pad Thai he ever had

Yelp
For years I have been to this plaza and I never tried their food! What a mistake!!! The food was outstanding. I walked in and saw tons of to go orders neatly packaged and organized on shelves. There was a person expediting those orders to go. Some were pick up and others through delivery services. There were about 3 tables opciones and were seated immediately. Since it was our first time I asked many questions and recommendations- our serves "Golf" and Anthony were AMAZING! This place is casual, minimal decor but has the best Sushi and Thai. They have a good selection of wines by the bottle reasonably prices, wines by the glass, Japanese beers, Saki and super clean! We ordered: Avocado roll Ceviche roll Tuna lover Gai med ma muang - stir fry chicken Drunken noodle Moo ping Thai bbq pork The food was delicious, the service was outstanding. i cannot wait to be back and order new recommended items.

Yelp
I thought this place was amazing, but things have declined. I Love the green curry from the beginning, but now it doesn't look anything like the pictures, and doesn't have the same ingredients. Also the quality of the white rice has declined. Not only is it poor quality, it is overcooked. I wanted to keep going there because they have some good things, but have been disappointed the last few times.

Yelp
Delicious! Our server Golf was SO nice :) It wasn't very busy, but the restaurant was clean and comfortable. 10/10 recommend the Dragon King Roll, Tuna Crispy Rice, Special Fried Rice, and Pad See Eew.
google avatar

Emma P.

Yelp
So chill. We walked in around 7 Pm and only two other tables where being used. Very quiet, with soft relaxing music being played. Our server was very nice and helped us what to decide on what to eat. Later on it started to get busy. The food comes out quick!

Yelp
Anytime I pass by The Falls I have to hold myself back from popping into Chana. I used to come here with my father a few years ago and the food was so delicious I couldn't help but tell everyone I knew about this wonderful restaurant. The miso soup and rice is always a staple. As for my main course, I enjoy the Dragon roll and the Pad See Ew. I've had the Pad See Ew with meat and tofu and both ways are delicious!! I highly recommend it! My father loves all of their curries if that's something you're interested in. If you're looking for nice little place to eat that's clean, relatively quick, has great service, and a tick up from a cheaper restaurant but still affordable and very quaint and quiet then i whole heartedly recommend Chana. (And for anyone curious about the bathroom situation, the bathroom is clean, has all the needed amenities, and real doors, not stalls, so I absolutely love it haha)

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Very good environment. This place is one of the good low key spots for a great and quick meal. You can dress up or dress down to this place. Outstanding food/presentation/price for the quality.
google avatar

Alexandra M.

Yelp
This is a solid sushi place. I can assure you the sushi tastes better than it looks. I ordered take out over the phone and picked it up within 30 minutes. Customer service was good and the prices are fair. I would definitely come back here.
google avatar

Sandi B.

Yelp
I came here years ago and there was a dead cockroach under one of the tables. My mother which just had surgery and likes the Firecracker Roll. I decided to bring her and not eat but you know how mothers are. So I asked for noodles soup with beef based and the waitstaff which was very nice suggested a dish with gravy. When I received my dinner there was little a tiny bit of gravy and the beef appeared raw when I asked for more gravy I was told the chef does not give you more it is what it is? Like Really ?? I was flabbergasted after all I agreed to pay extra. Pathetic below par and the customer is never right like disgusting. I do not recommend.

Joel P.

Yelp
Delicious! Clean, inviting atmosphere and high quality flavor! We ordered several plates for a party of 12 and shared everything. Can't wait to eat here again!

Barbara S.

Yelp
The miso soup was the best that I can remember having. And the king dragon roll was absolutely delicious. they also have a great staff I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
My wife is Thai. It's natural we're always on the lookout for a good, athletic Thai restaurant. One day she told me found one excellent one and I had to try. I came today and OMG! I don't k ow much about traditional Thai dishes although I have been 5 times in Thailand. Everything I Tate's I loved it. Loved more the JAPANESE part of the menu. High end gourmet Japanese. I just finished the Pop corn Tuna. Unic. Super recommend.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
One of the better Thai options in the area, Chana offers authentic cuisine and decent sushi as well. The bright industrial look of the place is unusual for a Thai restaurant but it's the food that really sets this place apart, offering more than just the usual Pad Thai or curry dishes. I highly recommend the coconut rice with whatever dish you decide on, the subtle sweetness elevates anything it's paired with. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food, which is why I give it 5 stars.
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
Walked into Chana with a craving for Thai food and left surprised and satisfied! The menu has some crazy options :00 We had the chicken curry puffs and it was insane!!! Warm creamy curry inside with the flakey crust on the outside?? Come on. The Moo Ping for the entree was sweet and salty and the texture was perfect. T H E N to wash it all down I had one of the best Thai teas I've ever had in South Florida. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and looking for some super tasty Thai food
google avatar

Magnus C.

Yelp
Very chill restaurant. I find myself staring at the paintings behind the sushi station every time. What else I do every time is order the mango tango roll, even if I was thinking of trying something new. The only other roll I've actually ordered is the dragon roll, which is also tasty! The servers are always nice and the food comes in pretty quick. Can't go wrong with Chana's!
google avatar

Mariana S.

Yelp
I was excited to try this out, so I went for lunch with a few friends. We were seated pretty quickly and the server was very nice. They had vegan options for my friend and she enjoyed her meal. I ordered from the Japanese lunch special #2 ($15) I started with a small side salad that comes with the lunch. It was good , I love the ginger dressing. The sashimi was good quality but the fish was cut thin and it was not a very big portion. The California roll the box came with (4 tiny rolls) was just okay, the kind you can get for $6 from publix (that might actually taste better) across the street.. The Goyza were good, a little cold but whatever. The seaweed salad sat on top of a much thicker bed of shredded carrots so it wasn't much of the actual seaweed. The hot green tea was very good. Overall the taste was good, I just feel like the portions were on the skimpy side. Also someone who wasn't our server came to our table (before we received our food!!!!) and left the check with us because they were closing for lunch soon.. it was kinda awkward. ** also I just realized looking at the menu now I was supposed to get a soup with this and they never brought it out
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
I really like the clean, crisp cool decor, nice n spacious and clean. Great friendly service. Nice lunch selection of about five japanese and five Thai specials which include a drink, a soup, a salad and a main dish for 15 dollars. All beautifully presented. The iced coffee is the bomb..wow! The food was fresh and crisp and authentic. I would definitely recommend and come back!

Yelp
I used to love this place. For some reason, it has gone down hill. Maybe new management. Not sure. They have an entire website http://www.chanathaikitchen.com/menu.html that they claim is not theirs. I don't know how that works. They do not stand by the prices listed (too lazy to take the site down or update menus). This is a poor business practice. It is actually false advertising and very illegal. False or deceptive advertising is related to any type of advertising that is misleading, false, or has effectively deceived consumers. An advertisement may be deceptive in several aspects, including: *Price of a product Bait and Switch Advertising When businesses promise to sell items or services at discounted prices to attract consumers but end up selling them costlier products. Do better.

Yelp
Great quiet restaurant with good food! Service is always excellent. Our server Gulf is so friendly and attentive. At time of writing, I am here, having dinner; a new server Alani is our server as Gulf is off for the evening. So pleasant!!

Yelp
I had high hopes and wasn't totally disappointed but this place is pretty average. I brought a group here and ordered some sushi and soups as appetizers as soon as we sat down. The place was empty. Miso soup and Shrimp/Tom Kay soup were tasty. Sushi was good, about as good as any spot I've been to that isn't a grocery store. Nothing spectacular. Our server wasn't as attentive as you'd expect, considering that we were her only table. A lot of dirty plates left on the table until we asked them to remove them (even tho they were clearly totally empty). Hot Sake took quite a while to come out as well. For entrees we ordered the whole fried red snapper, crispy pork and pad Thai. The snapper was a bit on the thin side, not the greatest I've had in my years down here. It was crispy. Not bad. But at $26 it was underwhelming. Crispy pork was tasty but not much meat, mostly fat that wasn't as crispy as you'd think, given the name of the dish. Not bad but quickly became old to have to chew on that un rendered fat. Pad Thai I did not try but my gf (who was the one that ordered it) said she felt sick afterward. Not sure if it was because of that dish or some other reason but she wasn't thrilled overall. Bill was around $120 for 4 ppl, not bad if the food was better.

Yelp
Chana Thai Kitchen is gem hidden in a shopping center west of US1, across from the Falls. We decided to stop in during a weekday lunch for a quick bite to eat before an appointment. Chana offers excellent lunch specials which may appear to be on the pricey side. Don't let that discourage you. The portions are ample and each lunch special includes a drink. My BH and I chose to split the Pad Thai lunch special, with the Tom Yum Goong soup, the ginger dressing salad, and Thai iced tea. The soup was worth noting because it was my first time trying Tom Yum Goong and boy, it was SO delicious. We also ordered the Spicy Tuna Sushi roll. It came sliced into 10 pieces and could have been a meal in itself. The fish was extremely fresh. My daughter got the Chicken Satay which was perfectly cooked and again, an ample portion. We grabbed a few menus because this is a perfect place to stop on the way home from work to pick up some quick, yummy Thai.

Yelp
Chana Thai was just okay. Came here with a group of friends and kids for dinner and they were nice enough to accommodate us all in a moments notice. The restaurant itself is nice and loapks well maintained. A small sushi bar but without sitting... We tried mainly thai dishes and I can only compare to other places I have been and it seems a bit under par. The satay beef was okay but not great. Also ordered the tom kha gai soup and definitely had better.... to me this was a big disappointment. After that I ordered the red curry chicken and it was good (spicy). I love the heat and a very rich sauce. Overall, just okay.

Jena M.

Yelp
The red curry is DELICIOUS and so is the coconut rice. But, that doesn't make up for the quality of their chicken. Blue spots on chicken that are wildly unappetizing and clear signs of spoilage.

Wlamir N.

Yelp
I order takeout food from this place regularly. Very good / legit Thai food. They are very attentive and personalize my orders as my son is picky. Highly recommended.

Krys P.

Yelp
This place looks really bright and clean, and the service is very nice. They refill water before you have to ask, and dishes are whisked away quickly, but not before checking with you first. I can highly recommend the lemongrass drink, fragrant with a touch of sweetness, so delicious! We ordered the Larb for salad, though it ended up too meaty and too salty for us to enjoy as a salad or appetizer. The flavor is nice, just works much better when eaten with some rice. The main reason I wanted to come here is to try their Kao Soy. No disappointment here. The curry broth was so delicious. I wish the noodles are a bit thicker so it won't get soggy in the soup so easily, but we totally loved this dish. It comes with a side of lime, pickled green, onion and chili pepper, which can really, really tune up the heat. So use with caution. We also tried the Thai grilled chicken, which usually is another "must order if I see it" item for me, but the meat was on the dry side and lacking in the exotic Thai seasoning, so it ended up just a mediocre plate of chicken. While there are some hit and miss on the menu, overall I really enjoy the decor, the service, and the more authentic menu, so I'll definitely be back, especially to try their lunch, which seems a good value.

Yelp
Checked this place out when I was out tile shopping for my bathrooms. I believe this place is fairly new or at least its new to me. Yelp obviously brought me here with their awesome rating and it lives up to its yelputation. What first caught my attention was the photos of the sushi rolls they have. I am a big fan of creativity with sushi esp when it comes to fresh ingredients. I hate cream cheese in sushi. Their menu did have quite a few rolls with cream cheese and of course you can opt out and they can make it without. But we decided to order from their lunch menu which the thai section had great choices. The Japanese section was pretty basic except for their poke bowl option. The food was great and cooked perfectly and presented nicely. 15$ we got the coconut-lime soup, green papaya salad, pad thai, and thai iced tea. I would say their thai iced tea was ok. It was too sweet for me and had way too much half and half or whatever creamer/milk they use. same goes for their thai iced coffee. I also ordered their firecracker tuna off of the appetizer selection. It was very yummy fresh and lite. The fried crabmeat was a bit chewy and crispy (I don't know how else to explain it) but I liked the alphapha spouts. I would come here again to try more of their sushi. The photos look like they have nice rolls to try that are different from most sushi places.

Yelp
Tuna Nachos, Kanisu, Chicken Fried Rice, Ginger Salad and three rolls that I can't seem to remember were all very fresh. I haven't gone out since the pandemic started. I felt safe in this restaurant. It wasn't busy and it was clean. They have lunch specials, but I didn't see it.

Yelp
Great place and good food but it seems the hours are not correct. They close on Tuesday so keep that in mind as Yelp doesn't seem to have their act together in keeping the public informed on business hours. Yelp has been disappointing me lately.

If you are looking for mediocre Americanized Thai - the type that combined with Sushi because some people believe Thailand and Japan should be one cuisine? My problem with Chana is expectation management. When they claim to be an outpost of a legendary kitchen in Queens- a kitchen that Thai people flock to and chefs go to understand the complexity and balance of great Thai food; that produces the best Thai food in the US- so you don't casually name drop if you don't bring receipts! The food here isn't the same- at all - to Queens. Here you get overly sweet, unbalanced cartoon Thai lacking the herbaceous, complex balanced freshness a Karbala would normally have. Pad Thai was too sweet and too sour with overcooked noodles not smoked in a very hot wok to impart a fire note. The nam sod and green curry were one dimensional and too sweet. I should have known when the menu had two Pangea of sushi and Japanese food- no legitimate Thai restaurant dabbles in sushi. I drove 1 hr from Davie and realized I have much better Thai i5 minutes from me-

Yelp
I can't say much for the restaurant itself, however, we ordered take out with no fuss. It was prepped and ready in 20 minutes. We ordered the curry puffs stuff with chicken and potatoes. Super yummy and a nice sized appetizer for 2 people. It also came with a small cucumber sauce which paired nicely. Ordered the pad Thai and it was pretty good for the pricing. The chicken was a little bland but the rice noodles were cooked to perfection. It comes with peanuts on the side and a wedge of lime. They are known for their sushi platters so I will definitely try that next!

Yelp
The Som Tum (papaya salad) here is amazing! As good as any I've had before. Asked for it spicy and it was perfectly spicy and flavorful. Definitely will order this on any and every future visit. Also ordered the Massaman Curry but was disappointed. It was on the sweet side and not salty or spicy enough for my tastes. Asked for it spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. I read another review that said they requested medium spicy and it was way too spicy, which leads me to believe the spice levels are inconsistent. I can also confirm the inconsistency since both the Som Tum and Massaman were requested spicy but had totally different spice levels. The space itself is nice - chill, pretty bright, casual, with some touches of ethnic decor on the walls (couldn't tell you from what country they're from, but I liked the color). Side note: there's a 1% "Homeless" tax added to your bill.

Yelp
My first visit to this restaurant January 2018 while waiting for an Apple product repair. I ordered their Thai style Buffalo Chicken Wings. I'm a huge fan of wings, but these were just ok to me. I was looking for more "baked" flavor, I hate to add table Salt (gotta watch that pressure). But to be fair they are a special Thai recipe (maybe not a common taste), so it may be an acquired taste for others who are not Thai, or know that flavor profile. Some customers have called it "Tasteless". They are served with a side of roasted Peanuts. My server was excellent that day, and he represented the restaurant well. He made me feel at home and I was an important guest. I hope he is still there (didn't get his name). It's in a great spot with tons of traffic in between the TJ Maxx and Pier 1 Imports sores.

Yelp
Amazingly spectacular. Instagram worthy dishes. Fast, fairly priced, amazing service. Very few places in miami have the consistency that this restaurant offers. The dishes and amazingly balanced and I can recommend this place to anyone knowing they will not be disappointed.
