Just stopped in for some food and drinks before a show at Rev Hall - the food/service/drinks were so good I felt compelled to share that with the greater public. The space is small and cozy, but enough seating for everyone - the food was exceptional and our server (didn’t catch her name, short dark hair) made our experience so great. They made sure to accommodate for my dairy-free ways and my friends’ vegetarian lifestyle. Check this out for a great drink/meal for date night!

Very cool Twin Peaks vibes from this place. Came here with a group of four on a Saturday and was able to get seated at the bar. Ordered Sake flights for everyone and we tasted over 12 different Sakes. Matthew was very enthusiastic about serving and telling us all about the different Sakes. Like many hole in the walls in Japan, I'm guessing there are about 8 to 10 seats at the bar as well as a four person table in the corner so it may be hard to get seating on popular nights.

Fantastic little wine bar in Buckman/kerns neighborhood! Very cozy, quaint and elegant. Outstanding service by bartenders Tyler and Joseph, who are both friendly, and make everyone feel welcome. They are knowledgeable and passionate about the wines they serve. With a great selection of not only wines but champagne, unique cocktails, mixed drinks and delicious deserts/appetizer. Highly recommend!

Awesome little place with amazing and knowledgeable service. Had great conversation, amazing sake, and listened to so some great music. Love the Black Lodge theme, the wide selection of sake, and the sign out front! It was also clean, chill, and tucked away. Definitely will be returning. Keep in mind though, it's small. Just a few seats at the bar, so count yourself lucky to get to experience the place. But it's part of the charm and totally worth it.

It all starts with the owner, and the owner is great. I tried to go to another place, a sake lounge, and they had closed very early. So disappointed I searched for a place open a little later into the night and decided to try my luck here. Wow, a total hole in the wall gem, met cool people, had a great time learning about the sake movement and what it pairs well with (they serve beer and wine too) 5 stars

I was introduced to this bar shortly after it opened and I instantly fell in love with this place. The intimate nature of the space, the charisma of the owner, the quality of the spirits, make this place one of the true hidden gems of Portland. Go to this bar if you value a quieter, more social bar, this is the one to go.
