On the West Side, Chandler’s is the locals’ pick for thick, creative patties and friendly service. Recognized in CityBeat’s neighborhood awards, it’s the kind of independent spot that keeps Price Hill’s burger scene lively.

I came here once a few years and it was a good experience. I came back again recently, and it was another good experience. I was waited on quickly and got my drink shortly after that. I ordered the spinach salad, turkey wrap, and cottage cheese. My food came out very quickly and everything was how I requested. The food was good. My server was attentive and checked to make sure everything was okay. She also brought my check in a timely manner. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Google
Food was good. Asked server to simply replace the bun with a tortilla and was told kitchen doesn't take special requests. After dinner I called manager over and expressed my concern about being told the kitchen wouldn't replace the bun with a tortilla. Manager told me she would speak to kitchen manager but didn't think it mattered. Told me to ask for a tortilla on the side. That presents a problem because I'm paying for a sandwich and shouldn't have to make my own sandwich. Food was great but because of the lack of customer service, I'm not sure I'll go back. I hope the owner sees this and addresses this. Could've been a great experience all the way around instead of walking out feeling disturbed because of a small request that could've been handled.

Google
Great food at a great price!! The burgers here are delicious, and there are several different ones to choose from. I had the Musketeer, and my husband had the 513 burger. I highly recommend the 513 burger, but it definitely has a spice to it. Burgers are around $11-$12 and include fries. That is a great value!! We came in on a Saturday evening, and the place was packed. We were still seated quickly, and our service was great.

Update: 5.17.24 They didn't keep our food warm and my family got sick because of it. Tired of negligence everywhere. Chandler’s exceeded all expectations. I had never been but driven by several times. In need if a great lunch, I chose to visit today. The food was on point for an American bar and grill. Service was solid, and the atmosphere was inviting. On top of it all, the Cincinnati Reds put on a spectacular comeback performance. Great spot to enjoy the game! Come grab a burger and enjoy Chandler’s.

Google
Known for the burgers here!! Absolutely delicious. I have had fairly quick service, but they are popular so you never know if there will be a wait. The boneless chicken is good quality, crispy, and just everything I was looking for. Insider Tip: I did try the Buffalo chicken salad that is a “Chandlers Signature” however I found the boneless chicken with Buffalo sauce was 100% better than the chicken that comes on the salad!

Google
Never seem to be disappointed with this place. I love the local classic names that they have for their food. I typically never get the same thing because I like to keep trying the next thing and continue to be amazed. The prices are fair and the service is good.

Google
My friend and I just had dinner at your restaurant. I’ve never been too thrilled with your servers as unfriendly seems to be the norm. But tonight was the worst. The waitress Andrea was rude numerous times and then called both me and my friend “confused” as my friend made a mistake on what was included in the salad she was ordering. Andrea then told me that the BLT I wanted was not available in a double decker and I needed to order the turkey! I was just at your restaurant Wednesday and had no trouble ordering the BLT then with 2 slices of bread!! The entire encounter with this “waitress” was upsetting and put a damper on our time there! We usually come once a month, but, trust me, that is ending!! I also have come there with other friends, but I’m finished! There are other restaurants in the Western Hills area, Werkhaus being one of them, where the food is outstanding and matches their SERVICE!!

Google
Chandler's is my favorite quick burger stop on the west side! I've had a few of their burgers now, but the Who Dey burger will always be my default! By far the best ghost pepper burger I've ever had. Their Jolly Rancher martinis are also absolutely delicious.

Yelp
I got the Turkey Reuben, and it was good! The rest of my table liked their burgers. Service was ok. The waitress wasn't great about drink refills, and she got a little short when we asked which cokes were diet and which was regular, so they all had to get passed around after she set them down. For lunch on a Sunday it was nice and quiet, and we didn't feel rushed to get out. The dog daycare next door is noisy with lots of constant barking, which I bet ruins the patio at Chandler's.

Yelp
Great, very saucy wings. Smoke flavoring is not the greatest but they make up in size. Wings are very big and very wet. What man doesn't want that. Always good service. Servers are all nice. Have never had a bad experience at any of their locations.
google avatar

Deacy T.

Yelp
They have excellent burgers!! Restaurant is more of a bar feel with TVs all around with games on. Service is always great and fast. Definitely would eat here again.

Yelp
Ok I found this on Yelp and read the reviews and we decided to try it. AMAZING! Fun, safe, clean, family atmosphere. Friendly service. And the food is so good. I got the Nati Melt (grilled cheese with a burger and bacon!) and my daughter got the Mahi Mahi basket with fries, my son got the Musketeer which is a burger with blue cheese, and my husband got the Who/Dey burger which had ghost peppers and lots of yummy stuff. We also tried the shrimp wraps, mozerella sticks and hot pretzel w beer cheese. Wow.

David I.

Yelp
Always love Chandler's!! Great food and great prices. Best burgers on the West Side, Hands down!

Yelp
I have been to Chandler's on several occasions. I have tried 4 different burgers and enjoyed them all. The quality of ingredients are amazing. The service was outstanding.

Cara G.

Yelp
Very tasty food. Service was good. Sports bar atmosphere, nothing fancy. I would recommend and when visiting my son on that side of town would go there again
google avatar

Yelp
Food is excellent. Servers are nice and attentive. Often crowded at lunch and evenings because they're the best in their area. Portions are generous.

Yelp
One of the best burger places I've ever had let alone the area. Juicy, good sized, and packed with flavor. Their smoked wings are amazing as well and being from Buffalo where the wings are lifeblood that's saying a lot. Club sandwich was spectacular, the quesadillas do not at all disappoint. The hidden gem is their ranch sauce. I could drink it. Again, being from Buffalo where blue cheese is king that's saying a lot. I still do blue cheese for my wings, but use their ranch for damn near anything else. Don't miss a chance to eat here.

T T.

Yelp
Love the drink specials & service. I've tried various dishes but my favorite are the double cool wings no fries.

Gwyn S.

Yelp
We got the gouda mac and cheese bites, Joey B, and the BLT. It was all 10/10!! We also had Stephani as our server and she was wonderful. Highly recommend this place.

Terry H.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. This was the first time my wife and I visited and we could not have had a better experience. The food was great, probably the best restaurant chili we have ever had. I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was fantastic. It was a great atmosphere for a nice lunch, low playing music with just the right amount of light, some places are too dark. This is now our go to place for eating out. I can't wait to try out more of their burgers .

Yelp
Love, love this place. 5 Stars is not enough. This is the burger place to go on the West Side of Cincinnati. There is a burger for everyone. French fries, Cole slaw or Cottage cheese are served with the burgers. Plenty of fries and they are always hot. If you don't like beef, you can try a Black Bean or Turkey burger. I have had both. They are good too! Many appetizers are on the menu. Team work is in full force here. Servers are friendly and efficient. Tea is fresh brewed. Many options for draft beer. Outside seating too. Inside seating is tables and booths. Restrooms are always clean and stocked. There are many televisions for sports. They put out coupons too. If you have not dined here, you are missing out.

Yelp
This is a great after work hang out spot. We can have cheap drinks and decent food. The macaroni and cheese bites are delicious. It's hard not to get them every time I go. I'm not a fan of the sauce that they come with though, I think they taste better with ranch. I tried the grilled cheeseburger, and while it is good, there's no way I could finish the whole thing by myself. I'm glad my friend was there to split it with me They serve the burger with pickles, and they have some of the best pickles I've had at a pub. I always ask for an extra side of them. Their ranch is REALLY good, I wonder if it's made in house? They seem to ration it out though so be prepared to wait a bit if you ask for extra lol. I've wanted to try the sauerkraut balls since it's rated as a popular appetizer on their menu, but I haven't been able to get a straight answer on what kind of sausage is in them, which is a bit annoying that the servers don't know the menu well enough to answer that question. Because of this lack of info, I have yet to try them. Hopefully one day someone can answer that for me

Michelle H.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Need to be more updated with adding a waitlist so ppl arent standing around so long.

Tim B.

Yelp
This is really our go-to place. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. They are very consistent. A family favorite. Great beer selection and almost always great service.

Donna M.

Yelp
Great neighborhood restaurant and bar. Place is set up so half of it is more of a bar atmosphere with seating at the bar, high top tables, perimeter booths and plenty of TVs. The other half has low top tables, booths and less tv sets. There is also covered outside seating. Servers are great and make sure you have refills and what you need to enjoy your meal. We have young grandchildren and they bring their food out quickly when asked. Food is great. We love their boneless wings which are very lightly breaded so you have more meat than most places. Burgers are their mainstay and they have many options. Will also sub a Turkey burger for beef. Great variety of appetizers and variety on menu so you can go more than once in a week!!

Yelp
Wow, what a nice surprise.. What the westside needed...Freshly remodeled, great menu. You can tell the burgers are hand made. I've been here several times now over the past coupled years. I've had all the burgers on the menu, which are still delicious. I have now recently started loving their smoked wings. Definitely a contender in local wing joints. My go to spot for wings and beer. Chandeliers has come s long ways since opening. They are always packed Thursday to Saturday. Cold craft beers and good food. Only recommendation would be to get some decent wine lists.

Amanda P.

Yelp
Love the smoked wings with Parmesan garlic! Yum. Local bar, service is always pretty good.

Yelp
This was our second trip to Chandler's. The place still looked really snazzy and the service was better than I remember getting the first time so that's a really good thing. The first time I tried one of their awesome signature burgers which was fantastic so this time I branched out and tried their chicken wings because you know I love wings. I tried 2 different flavours; the XXX and the basic bbq. The XXX was the hottest one they had to offer and while it packed a minor punch wasn't anything too nuclear. It had a fair amount of flavour and was quite good. The bbq while just a basic one had lots of flavour as well even without the spice of the XXX. It was kind of a sweet and tangy sort of bbq sauce and really worked well here. The wings were all a decent size and cooked perfectly which was a huge plus. Definitely worthy wings in my opinion. I also tried their spicy cheese curds and onion rings. The onion rings were big and pretty good. The spicy cheese curds were super delicious and had a little bite of what I think was pepperjack cheese that I really enjoyed. They definitely bring some great food at Chandler's and make it worth your while.

R V.

Yelp
Chandler's has consistent and fantastic service, delicious food and an enjoyable atmosphere. My dad and I have been going there for weekly lunches for years now and they never leave us disappointed. Their menu is varied and everything I've tried has been great. Give them a try!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Meat, bun, cheese and perfection. There are other burgers but like why? Now if there were just more locations

Phil C.

Yelp
Good food, good service. Nice atmosphere. Good place to watch a sporting event. Try the spicy cheese curds and a beer. Love em.
google avatar

Tanya P.

Yelp
We had the sweetest server ever. She had a huge smile and an infectious laugh. The burgers were big and good. The only problem is trying to keep everything on the bun while trying to eat it. The fries have a pretty good flavor. The kids meals are under $5. The mac & cheese is Kraft. I found the jokes on the back of the booth seats very entertaining. That kept my daughter and I busy while waiting for our order. There wasn't an empty seat in the house. The noise level is high, but what do you expect when there's tons of televisions a bar and a ton of people having a great time.
google avatar

Yelp
Last stop on the Burger Week train and it's my first 5 star rating! This place is everything you want in a burger joint. Not too busy, fast service, lots of TV's and a fully stocked bar (Rhinegeist on draft). The standout though is the food! We tried several appetizers and the burger week special. The macaroni and cheese bites are fire! One because they serve them piping hot and two because they're delicious! The loaded cheese fries looked great and the potato skins were really good, gooey and cheesy actual cups of potato just the way I like them. Now full disclaimer, I didn't try the burger (I don't eat ground beef), but the others in my party both said it was well seasoned and the toppings were fresh. I had a buffalo chicken salad that was okay, but I mean it's a burger joint I didn't expect the world. This place also makes their own ranch and blue cheese in house and I don't care what you get, have a side of that you won't regret it.
google avatar

Anne S.

Yelp
We usually sit at the bar, the bartender's are all great. We usually start with the gouda bites and ask for both ranch and the spicy garlic dipping sauce. All the burgers are great. westsider is our fav.

Mark M.

Yelp
One of our favorite west side burger places. The burgers are all very good. We also get a side salad which is larger than most places. The blue cheese dressing is delicious. There is a good selection of beer on tap to chose from. The service is excellent and there are plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game. Not much outdoor seating if that is what you are looking for.
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
Great staff and service. Lots of choices on the menu. Great burgers and wings. Perfect place for some wings and a beer Always have a great experience Perfect place to stop after a game. Two thumbs up.

Paula M.

Yelp
We go there all the time since we live in Delhi. Great food and excellent service. Very enjoyable meal.

Yelp
I had been hearing rumblings lately in discussions of the best burger in Cincinnati of Chandler's Burger Bistro. I had bookmarked it last summer during Burger Week but never made it out there. This past weekend we finally got a chance to go and I gotta say..it was pretty good. First the restaurant itself is pretty nice. Don't let the generic looking sign out front fool you..this place was a really cool little sports bar. TVs surround the entire place..perfect if you're going there to catch a game I suppose (if that's your thing, it's so not mine). The booth we were sat at was very comfortable. The service we received was pretty top notch. Everything came out quick and the server checked on us regularly. We ordered the Macaroni Gouda bites as an appetizer. I had heard really good things about them and from the pictures they looked really tasty. And you know what? They were. They were interesting. Very cheesy..very interesting blend of cheeses. Even more interesting was the sauce they served with them. It was like a garlic-buffalo sauce. Very seasoned and very spicy. I got hooked after a couple dips. I like hot stuff, I like garlicy stuff..this was the kind of sauce for me. Next we were onto the burgers. I ordered the Who-Dey burger because it looked to be their "hot" burger and I looooove me a hot burger. This one was very hot..maybe not the hottest I've ever had (that honor still goes the the Inferno Burger at Mac's), but very very spicy. It's topped with ghost pepper cheese, a Cajun style seasoning, bacon, and gouda cheese bites. The cheese bites helped cool down the kick of the rest of it. The bun they used didn't look too impressive but it was kinda perfect. Very soft, it drew in all the other crazy flavors the burger had. The burger patty itself was alright. Thick but maybe not as juicy or flavorful as others I've had. The toppings definitely helped remedy that..just a lot of flavor going on in this burger. Overall I would rank this among the better burgers in Cincinnati. The best? Not quite..but very good. I was impressed. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to others.

Joan M.

Yelp
I had high hopes to this place but didn't meet the expectation or probably didn't order the right food. We had Nati Melt and the musketeer and it was very salty. The fries was soggy and "chips" came from boxed store brand. The staff was super nice and clean bathroom.

Rob P.

Yelp
The burger wasn't seasoned and was frankly mediocre at best. I decided to try the smoked wings, they weren't smoked and clearly came straight from a fryer. I would recommend this place.

Nathan M.

Yelp
I love their nati' melt it's what I order every time I go. i like it a lot definitely recommend
google avatar

Renee R.

Yelp
Service was great, food was pretty good, had stiffed mushrooms, Trojan burger while my husband had naked boneless Parmesan wigs ore fiends ordered burger with sauerkraut balls which were pretty amazing, while my burger was not fully cooked too pink, but the edges were cooked pretty flavorful and my husbands naked wings a little too done and dry for the most part. If it weren't for the service and sauerkraut balls i would have given it a 3 star! Might be back i that way again

Yelp
Finally!!! After following Chandlers for several years and since I live in the other side of the Nati I got to try the Burger Bistro. First let me say it is in a small shopping strip mall let that go. Once you walk I side the decor is smooth and clean. The beer choices and prices are amazing especially 10 for a mixed bucket of domestics. First thing you have to order... the Gouda Mac and Cheese Bites.... I know you are saying no way. YES WAY!! Served with a garlic buffalo. Not usually my sauce of choice but this sauce was perfect. My choice of the day was the Who-Dey Burger, was flavorful with a bit with ghost pepper chesse. The rest of the team got a buffalo chicken wrap that was top notch. Then of course the chicken tenders and boneless wings, yes kids.. needless to say I waited several years but already planning a return visit. This gets 5 stars and 4 .. Did I also say what a great place to watch a game!

Evrhopful4 B.

Yelp
The pretzel appetizer was good but the server skipped me on the drinks order and then skipped me on the food order. she never came back to rectify the mistake after we notified them. I left.
google avatar

Ben M.

Yelp
After a few more visits and trying different things, I'm bumping this up to 5 stars. Don't miss the bistro balls, they're delicious! Wings are some of the best around too, especially the boneless as they're fresh cut and hand breaded, not frozen like most places. The food here is so great, you'll understand why the line is out the door half the time.

Yelp
Went to Chandler's last night little after 10. Google says they are open til 11. We went in and this waitress comes out yelling "y'all tryin to eat!?!" Every one in the restaurant looked at us because she was so fucking loud....my bf said yes. And she put her watch in his face and said" its 3 minutes to late. We close at 10." I said the internet says 11. She said that's fri and sat. Umm no. Today. Google uses current times and dates... So I dont know if we will ever go back. She was so fucking rude. Chandler better check the times on Google I bet 90% of patrons use google to find out times and location of its establishment. I posted the info on fb for them and they responded that they are open until 11 but kitchen closes at 10. so if you decide to go make sure you're there before 10. edit: Staff sent me a message apologizing for confusion they are in fact open until 11 but kitchen closes at 10. They also deleted my review from facebook.

Jean C.

Yelp
Melt St. Jo burgers and mahi mahi fish and chips were delicious! Service was perfect too. Going at 1:30 in the afternoon was just the right time for lunch during the week.
google avatar

Mark P.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best queso in town. Buffalo chicken wrap was delicious. If you're reading this during social distancing, order extra queso. Do it.
google avatar

Katy R.

Yelp
We love this place and whenever we get to this side of town, we make a point to stop. It's got a great local beer selection from Rhinegeist to Taft's to 50 West, along with other favorites like 3 Floyd's and Great Lakes. So there's that. And it's not your average bar food so if the pictures are telling you that, don't believe it. It's definitely not health food but so delicious. I had the Cuban (Le Cubano) and consider myself a Cuban snob - it's gooood! Staff is friendly, service is fast, atmosphere is alive. Highly recommend!

Chris B.

Yelp
It's a good place to get a burger. Clean nice people good amount of beer selections and food is okay.
google avatar

Jared R.

Yelp
Had the macaroni gouda bites and 12 boneless parm garlic. Has to be the best Mac and cheese bites, ever. The sauce was great, too. Still haven't found a parm garlic to compete with BW3, but that's creamy and this is butter based. Different animals. The chicken was lightly breaded, deep fried and overall good.
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
Pretty nice place! And GREAT food!! I can't say there's anything bad about this place.. It's always packed! And the service is fast!

Yelp
I love Chandler's Burger Bistro. My boyfriend and I go there regularly and I hand out coupons to my friends and family who haven't been to encourage their patronage as well. Chandler's offers a plethora of unique burgers most of which are named after fun Cincinnati mascots and characters such as The Panther, named for the Elder High School Panthers, The Highlander, named for the Oak Hills High School Highlanders, and The Melt St. Joe, named for The College Of Mount Saint Joseph. My favorite, The Who Dey Burger, is named for the Cincinnati Bengals and features fried Gouda cheese bites, lettuce, applewood smoked bacon, and a delicious spicy sauce. I personally am a vegetarian, so I order mine with no bacon and a vegetarian patty. One of my favorite things about Chandler's is that they offer not just one, but two options for vegetarian burgers. Chandler's also boasts a fantastic craft beer selection, which is a big plus to me. At the moment that I'm writing this they offer Rhinegeist, Braxton, Mt.Carmel and much more. The decorum is quite nice; it gives the feel of a slightly upscale burger joint, which is fitting, but I'd still feel very comfortable going there in shorts and a t-shirt. The wait staff has always been very hospitable and friendly to us, but I find that the service is usually better at lunch than it is at dinner/late night. This is, of course, most likely due to the fact that they are busier during dinner. All things considered Chandler's is my favorite spot for burgers and one of my favorite places to frequent in Cincinnati! Don't hesitate to give it a try, you'll be hooked after your first burger!
google avatar

Elyse F.

Yelp
This revamping of Chandler's is a huge success I my book. In no way is the outside indicative of the inside. Decor is more upscale than a typical burger joint. There are tables, booths, and a bar. Flat screen t.v.s are all around. The print on the booth backs is a string of corny jokes. We were all highly impressed with our food. Food of this caliber isn't typically found on the West Side. The macaroni & gouda bites were a hit with the whole family. Gooey on the inside, and crisp on the outside. These bites were the perfect way to warm up after coming in from the cold. Quality fresh meat from Bridgetown Fine Meat, and the Servatii's buns really made the food shine. The cheese were above average too. The Melt St. Joe & The Highlander burgers were equally delicious. Both were well seasoned. French fries were just how I like them; fluffy on the inside, and crisp on the outside. For me, there was the perfect amount of salt and pepper on the fries. The kids enjoyed their chicken strips and Mac & cheese. While not something they can control, parking is an issue here. There is not enough parking for the number of businesses in the center. We were already talking about our next visit before we left.

Tim B.

Yelp
A Westside Burger classic. Service is always friendly and you can always catch a game on the tube. Beer selection is phenomenal. You can find fried delights or healthy veggies. Strongly recommend!

Yelp
This past Saturday night my wife and I found ourselves on the west side of town for an event starting in the early evening. We originally intended to finally try the Incline Public House late in the afternoon, but we ended up very short on time so we dropped into Chandler's Restaurant instead, which happened to be very near our evening destination. Chandler's is a family style restaurant located along Cleves Warsaw Pike at the intersection with Ebenezer Road. My wife and I, both in our early thirties, were easily the youngest there. It seemed that most of the other tables in the place were occupied by regulars as they were often greeted by name by the restaurant staff. However our service was great and they made us feel like they truly appreciated our patronage. I ordered the ham and turkey club sandwich on grilled sourdough with fries. The sandwich was served dry but came with a packet of mayonnaise that I gladly emptied on top. It arrived steaming hot and came topped with bacon and sliced tomato. While it was fairly standard club, I did enjoy the sandwich quite a bit. My wife had the pineapple teriyaki grilled chicken sandwich with fries as well. She is a sucker for pineapple teriyaki anything. The pineapple topping was obviously straight from a can, but she enjoyed this sandwich nonetheless. Again, it was a pretty standard sandwich but it was well prepared and tasted good. That is exactly what you should expect at Chandler's, good food for a great price with speedy and friendly service.

Yelp
Yum! Delicious burgers! I had the Highlander (without cheese) and it was perfect! I enjoyed every bite and can't wait to come back and have it again! Fries were hot and tasty, and even better dipped in a side of ranch ( 50 cents) Will definitely be back the next time I am in that area.
