Chang's is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. I'm glad to be able to walk in and get a table quickly, knowing that the service will always be friendly, the food will be served quickly, and everything will taste satisfying. That said, I wish more people knew that Chang's has food every bit as good as San Tung's across the street, and even more suited to my tastes: flavors not overpowering, and plenty of menu options for perfectly cooked vegetables without too much oil. Amy and her team learn and remember their regulars, but also take great care of everyone who walks in. The decor is simple but comfortable. I often get the hot and sour soup (appropriately not overly salty), and have tried a number of different entrees: various stir-fried vegetables, eggplant dishes, clay pot dishes, salt-and-pepper fish or shrimp (option for either with or without shells, and of course the latter is more flavorful), broccoli and beef (important that the broccoli is not overcooked), egg tofu with mushrooms, and more. Prices are super reasonable and portions are generous. Highly recommended whether you are dining alone, in a group (they can accommodate larger groups as well), or getting takeout.
