Love this brewery! A lot of room, great people like Matt that makes it great to come here! The beer is worth every penny and I love the MN Go and Mother Mountain. Can’t go wrong with the 16 other beers either!

I came here for the first time today. While their gluten free alcohol options are not zero, it’s still well worth coming to if you are gluten free though. They offer an amazing nitro cold brew coffee from a local roaster. And recently on Wednesdays a gluten free food truck has been coming (Crazy Puppy). Amazing food! They are very family friendly and dog friendly! We brought our dog.

Chanhassen brewing is one of our favorite hangouts especially in the winter because our four-legged family member can join us inside! The beers are great, the space is very nice, and the beertenders are awesome! Def check them out if you haven’t!

Finally, my 70th Review is in my home town of Chanhassen Minnesota! This review will be updated as the establishment develops, however I have to give a solid 5 for the variety, hospitality, ambiance, and quality of ales produced at launch. With brand new tanks, and a crew still getting their feet grounded, Chanhassen Brewing is one of the best freshly launched Brewery’s I have hit in Minnesota. While the Ales are currently moderately above average, I have high expectations that the staff here will develop their game to make Chanhassen a destination brewery for this part of the metro. Like any new brewery, if you come out, try multiple styles and get a taste of what things are at the start. If they can move up like some of the other greats in the SW Metro, we will have yet another great spot to visit while cruising the fine roads of the SW metro!

We come here often and are happy to have a local brewery. The bartenders are great with our kids and seem genuinely happy to have us as customers. There are a lot of local restaurants and sometimes food trucks. If you are looking for a day tour, pair it on a bike ride with Enki, Excelsior, or the EP brewery.

Great location - great beers! Grab some snacks from LeeAnn Chin next door - and you’ve got yourself a great evening.

Love Chanhassen brewing! Callie the bartender is absolutely amazing. Her customer service is so great! Wide variety of beer types- love sour beer so especially happy to see one on the menu. Also super kid friendly! Overall great spot!

First visit to this brewery and it was fun.. They have local musicians Keith, Dave and Patrick performing live…. They have indoor and outdoor seating that is very spacious.. Decent crowd with a steady inflow of people wanting to spend time with family & friends. I would recommend this place for a relaxing evening …

Yelp
Had a great afternoon here with my family. I loved how they had nice outdoor seating and even a small shaded tent area. We tried the Mother Mountain IPA, Barrel Aged My Sweet One and the Lotus Lake Slushy. All 3 were very good! The service was great and they cleaned up tables quickly so the tables were always cleared.

Yelp
Stopped here in between events at Paisley Park to kill time. Coffee bar hours are from 8am-2pm so there was a limited coffee menu available. Ordered the hot nitro with a shot of dark chocolate. Pretty good coffee and very friendly employees. This is actually a family and pet friendly place with some games for kids and a patio area when the weather is nice. They also host different food trucks. There were a number of families with kids enjoying themselves while I was there.

Yelp
Great local brewery. Beers are good, service is wonderful, and we enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
Came here for coffee. The coffee was amazing but we ended up playing pull tabs and drinking beer at 10am. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I have failed to ever take a picture of a full glass at Chanhassen Brewing (that has to say something about their beers right?!?!). A friend was enjoying some pints, so thought the nicest thing I could do was join him! Chanhassen Brewing just released Dandy Lion Coffee Porter made with local dandylioncoffee. I had a small taster of it (not pictured as it disappeared quickly). There is pleasant bitterness with roasted coffee bean notes. Every coffee and beer drinker will be delighted with this one! In addition, if you like the beer (or the coffee) now Dandy Lion Coffee is available at the brewery with a coffee shop open in house Friday-Sunday 8-3pm. The full pour I got (quarter of the beer pictured) is Lowenherz. This is their Marzen style Oktoberfest beer brewed for the season - and really hitting the spot with the fall temperatures. A medium caramel sweetness is balanced by a medium-low toasted bread flavor. Aroma is more on the bready notes with just a hint of spiciness. Enjoyed this one!

Yelp
We went back last night thinking their beer would be better. Still disgusting tasting as ever. Tried 2 IPAs and both were awful. They need to up their game.

Yelp
If you like hoppy beers, you'll love this place. The guy working was very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Stopped in for a couple of beers today. To my delight, just after 2 on a Friday was still a pretty quiet tap room! I opted for Caryna Pie, a pecan pie amber and Dark Cherry Storm, sour. I wasn't a fan of the amber, it wasn't a bad beer, just wasn't my jam. I really liked the sour! I like the tap room, spacious and a good amount of natural light. I like their display of other brewery growlers above the fireplace. As I was snapping pictures I noticed the bench seat @ one of the high top tables!! Thanks Chanhassen for a great first visit.

Yelp
An unassuming, local spot with a little bit for everyone! Brewery itself is very open and inviting: long tables for games, families, etc and a tucked away fireplace for a cozy winter evening. Arcade games and board games make this place perfect for a family! Dog-friendly so it's fun for the whole family! Beer actually tasted AMAZING! I was expecting average beer from this spot, but the diversity in type and taste will likely have us back for more! Pecan Brown Ale aka Carya Pie was my FAVE! I know it's a bit of a hike from Minneapolis, but absolutely worth it for a night of good drinks and food fun!

Yelp
Nice, open space and good brews including seasonal specials. They have wifi, a food truck, games and a patio. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Our first visit here was a chilly rainy afternoon. The place was rocking! There was a private party on the back room and a fundraiser happening on the other side of the room. We found a couple of stools at the bar. I had a stout, My Sweet One, which was smooth and tasty. Our grand pup found a cool spot to lay out on the floor. The staff was awesome. So nice. Good, lazy afternoon stop.

Yelp
This is the only brew pub in Chanhassen, long overdue. It's a large space and they have a patio and picnic tables in the parking lot. Good selection of beers on tap. We tried a sampler with the blonde, chanhoppenin IPA, Earl grey tea rye and the jailhouse hootch IPA. The IPAs were really good. The Earl grey tea also good. If you like IPAs you will not be disappointed here. The indoor space itself needs some work. The fluorescent lighting is a bit much. I think they could turn off half these lights. The bar seating is not real comfortable. Being new, I am sure they'll make adjustments. If you go, get one of their great IPAs and sit on the patio.

Yelp
Great place to hang with family and friends. Nice outdoors option too. Best microbrews in Chanhassen, with many options.

Yelp
My wife and I were out for our weekly "Saturday new place for lunch" and she mentioned the there was a new taproom in Chanhassen. Score one for the Gipper! They had plenty of outside seating during this COVID time and there are tons of places around to get food to bring in, if you wish. There is a Jersey Mike's about 100 feet away and they were packed with people getting take-out. (Jersey Mike's is pretty solid for a chain restaurant, by the way.) My wife makes an amazing meat and cheese tray, and she did not disappoint this time. I tried two of the IPAs. I thought the red wasn't really an IPA, but it was good, but their other IPA was true to style. Great staff, super place to grab a couple of beers, Highly recommended.

Yelp
The atmosphere and vibe is relaxed and fun, great to catch up with friends or a first date! They often have a food truck, and other snacks to grab alongside a brew. Just wish they had more gluten free options of ciders or other seltzers, the one I got started tasting like nasty cough syrup halfway through

Yelp
A solid place to go if you're looking for a glass of fresh brewed disappointment. The first notes were tasted when we drove 20 minutes out of our way to try the PUB PASS listed "Chanhassen Brewing Company." We were let down smoothly by the scammers when the bartender told us they "don't honor PUB PASS any longer because they reached their coupon limit.'" A bunch of con artist poppycock and malarky if you ask me. Our PUB PASS coupon was not expired, and yet, they treated it like old, sour beer. Our guess is that the owner spent all his money remodeling a classy restaurant into a millennial-approved brewery. Unfortunately, the owner has gone to the dark side of penny-pinching. Sure it has the black, white, and raw wooden accents that we've come to expect with trending starter kit breweries, but the pizazz was absent. The food truck was closed, the freeway noise was vibrating our eardrums, and the sourness of being robbed was tainting our taste buds from enjoying anything but our bitterness. Good beer, but it had quite a rain cloud over it.

Yelp
Great space and great beer. I got a flight and my husband and I sat in the comfy chairs in the corner on a Friday night . We were surprised it wasn't more busy.

Yelp
Great place to hang out and have a good beer with the family, including the dog. This is our go to spot for local breweries
google avatar

Yelp
Every style of beer was top notch, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Typical brewery vibe. Added bonus for coffee drinkers is the coffee shop at the other end of counter

Yelp
The beer we could order was good, half the beers on their list were tapped out. On top of that, the gal who took our order was not very friendly. They have a lot of outdoor space, great for nice days and various food options near by. Also, super smart that they are right next to target. I'm trying to be understanding because they are newly open, but I'm giving 3 stars because it's just way too loud in there. They need to figure out their acoustics. When they are full you have to yell across the table to have a conversation and when they are empty you can hear all the other Conversations around you.

Yelp
What a fabulous atmosphere and Chan brew crew! Very friendly staff! I love that you can order delivery food service from most of your local favorites restaurants to be delivered here!! Check it out!

Yelp
Only giving a 3 because we're excited that Chanhassen has a brewery! No food options other than Leann Chinn, Taco Bell, Jersey Mike's, and Noodles and Co. Beer selection is the most bizarre and too many IPAs and sours. Only one lager and it was sold out the last time we went. Takes a lot for us to not try another beer but we weren't interested in any of the other 10 flavors and the employee didn't even try to sell us on any others so we left! Too bad. Hopefully they incorporate a few more lagers or seasonal flavors. Music could also be improved - a strange playlist of too loudly played Mariah Carey, Counting Crows, and no recent hits. Could be improved with live music, food trucks, and better beer selection! And brewery tours. Cheers!

Yelp
Is there a zero star option? This place is a joke. Similar to other comments I have seen posted here, a friend and I decided to hit a few breweries on the PubPass and drive out of our way to start here. When I pulled my PubPass out, the gal behind the counter said, " sorry, we don't accept those anymore". I asked why? She said because so many breweries have been struggling lately due to COVID that they decided to stop participating in the promotion. Interesting I said, because this place is packed, and so is every other brewery I have visited this year. Then I asked, are there other breweries in the book that have also decided not to participate? She said no, just us. I attempted to give her a business 101 lesson by telling her that the whole reason for the booklet is to get customers into your establishment who otherwise may not have come. It's called marketing. Nobody just drives 20 minutes for one free beer. They get their free beer and then order 2 or 3 more. (That's a net gain in case they were wondering, but perhaps they struggle with math and economics .) Then they tell their friends about the place, and they come back again and again. We figured that we were already there, so we each begrudgingly paid for one beer. Those were the first and only beers they will ever sell us. Like many people who purchased the PubPass, my friends and I frequent these places and meet up with friends on a weekly basis. The two free beers they were unwilling to honor likely cost them hundreds of beers from just me and the people I know. Not to mention all of the other people who had the same experience I did. Well, that decision backfired on them. Their stinginess and lack of business ethics not only lost them this customer, but will have a ripple effect down the road. Shortsighted decisions can have long term ramifications. . We'll see if they make it!

Yelp
Business has no honor. The company signed up for a promotion called Pub Pass, and seeing it on the Pub Pass drove out of my way to give it a try. I got there and they did not honor the promotion that they signed up for and wasted a good part of my evening.

MnNice- H.

Yelp
1/11/23 Update, Pub Pass CONFIRMED, Chanhassen Brewing reneged on their commitment 12/24/22: Still no response 12/1/22: Update, still no response?? 11/20/22 Update: I have emailed the owner regarding this issue, no response. MMM, not surprised. 11/11/22 Yesterday, my wife and I traveled 20 miles to use our Pub Pass at your brewery, only to be turned away because they are not accepting the Pub Pass as it is "costing them to much"?! What a poor way to do business on Chanhassen Brewing Company's part by not honoring a commitment that customers are expecting when using the Pub Pass. Also, no where on their website does it inform customers of this DUMB decision. If it had been posted, we would not have wasted our time in visiting this brewery. Stay away!!

Paul P.

Yelp
If you want to tick people off say you open at 3, and then let them sit out in the rain. This has happened to me twice. There will not be a third. Lots of other options. (pro tip, Hey Google set alarm, Tuesdays 2:55)

Yelp
Great beer, great atmosphere, great people. What a perfect addition to the Chanhassen area! Family friendly place where dogs are also welcome too. Lots of outdoor seating for when it's nice out. Bonus points for being able to bring or order outside food. Looking forward to my next visit, cheers!

Yelp
Don't let the suburban setting throw you off. When you walk into Chanhassen Brewing Company it has a great brewery atmosphere and brings a great place to get local beer in the west metro. It also has a lot of great beers to pick from. Every sour I've tried has been excellent, among their other beers. They also have an outdoor space with picnic tables. While they don't serve food, there's a bunch of options around. Bonus: You can bring your pup inside the brewery.
google avatar

Jim T.

Yelp
They need to figure it out quick. No samples of any of their beers. They just tell you to buy a flight. A lot of good that does, because now you have 4 crappy beers that no one would drink!
google avatar

Shanda G.

Yelp
Amazing new brewery! Beers were great and the space is big and brand new. There have been other reviews about beer being out but they are BUSY so it's understandable, they can only brew so much beer. They have a patio set up and dog friendly, check it out!
google avatar

Ax A.

Yelp
Was going to give them 5 stars until they closed pulltabs at like 6:00p for ummm ... no reason? That's a from me. But good brew and nice to have food carts/trucks now in Chan.

Luke N.

Yelp
So, we've been here 4 times now and each time the beer has been... ok. Not great. That atmosphere is good and it is close to the house which is awesome, but I'm not sure how many more chances I'll give them. There are so many breweries nearby with a better product. I sincerely want your product to be awesome. Hopefully improvements will be made!

Mel S.

Yelp
Love this brewery! Beers are fun and rotating constantly- kids love the claw machines and soda selection. Staff & owners are awesome!
