The 11 Best Hotels to Book in Bangkok, Thailand

"A tucked-away teakwood enclave on the confluence of the Chao Phraya and Bangkok Noi canal that feels like a village within the city: 18 pared-back but cozy rooms occupy small teak homes set amid banana groves and narrow alleys, and ground-floor spaces house a Thai restaurant (IMM, which offers a nine-course tasting menu) and specialty coffee shop Arch. Its low-slung, village-like layout creates a peaceful hideaway just across the river from landmark sights such as Wat Pho and the Grand Palace." - Chris Schalkx

Lovely small hotel a the junction of the Chao Phraya river & the Bangkok Klong. Thai style room with everything you need, a reasonable size & very comfortable. Great dinner in the restaurant on our one evening there and super breakfast. River is always noisy from early morning so back garden rooms are best. Very convenient for the Royal Barges museum and the Bangkok Thonburi Station (to Kanchanaburi). Other reviews have marked down the location but I would suggest they haven't done their research. This hotel is not convenient to the centre of Bangkok (MBK, SkyTrain etc) but very convenient for the River Taxis covering access to the Royal Palace, Wat Arun etc.

In general, it’s not for tourists non families.  The location is really off from the main street and required to walk to a small alley in a local neighbourhood  (almost like a ghetto area if you don’t know Bangkok).  Not recommended for female solo travellers.  But definitely a good pick for someone who is looking for a relaxing afternoon with not much to expect.  Room was clean and able to see the long-tail boats cruising thru. the canel.   The food was good, up to Thai standard but not worth it if just come here for coffee or lunch.

I stayed at Chann for work and absolutely loved how rustic and unique it was. It’s truly the definition of a hidden gem -a bit tricky to find, but well worth it. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the charm of the resident kittens and tortoises, made the experience even more special. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms felt like safari lodges which was quite cool. A wonderful escape from the usual city hotels -highly recommended! Ah just one piece of advice- take mosquito repellent 😆

Good accommodation, clean, beautifully decorated, beautiful view, but the journey to get there may be a bit difficult. Cars cannot access it. You have to walk or use a motorbike. If you take a car, you have to park at a nearby temple temporarily for 40 baht, overnight for 100 baht.

Hotel access is not safe and convenient. You have to drop off or park at Wat Dusit and walk 200m to the Hotel. If not, you need to go by Grab Bike or private speed boat or jet ski. It made me feel unsafe for lady arriving at late evening or night time. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful but it seemed no choice about BF as it's difficult to go outside for it. I didn't see the room but common area looked nice, clean, and homey with pier view. The cat was very friendly. BTW, thank you the Hotel to propose for fully refund because of our inconvenience to stay. We'd like to recommend the Hotel to be interested in lots of negative comments, deal with any pier, and arrange boat service for their guests which would create great experience and avoid word of mouth about bad perception.

1. Unclean Bathroom|Upon entering the bathroom, I found a used shower gel bottle left on the floor, making the floor sticky. This raised serious concerns about whether the bathroom had been cleaned prior to my arrival. Such oversight is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your housekeeping standards. ||2.Cobwebs in the Room|I discovered not one but two spots with cobwebs inside the room. This further deepened my concern about the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards your hotel offers. ||3.Room Temperature Issues|The room was unbearably hot when I checked in. Despite trying to adjust the temperature myself, I was unable to resolve the issue and had to contact the reception staff for assistance. I was told it was the maid’s fault for misadjusting the system. While the staff resolved the issue by reconfiguring the air conditioning, I question why the room temperature was not properly set and checked before my arrival. ||4.Bathtub Malfunction|One of the main reasons I chose the Riverfront Suite Canal Type room was to enjoy the bathtub while taking in the Bangkoknoi view. Unfortunately, the bathtub was defective, with water constantly leaking, requiring me to refill it multiple times. This inconvenience ruined the relaxing experience I had anticipated. ||5.Unacknowledged Birthday Request|I had made a special request for my partner’s birthday celebration during the booking process, which was confirmed via email. However, this request was completely overlooked during our stay. This lack of attention to detail was extremely disappointing and made me feel undervalued as a guest.

Lovely hotel by the river. The room is so comfortable, bed is super comfy!! Love the view from my room!! It’s great to wake up with river view. The restaurant offer great set menu for dinner and breakfast is good. The only downside is the entrance is really a hidden path!! If you bring your car, you need to park at the temple and walk about 200m through small alley to this hotel. But it worth the effort!!

A fantastic hidden gem of a hotel. The location is right at the mouth of Bangkok Noi Canal where it pours into the Chaopraya River Arriving by car will require you to take a 200-300 meter walk from the drop off point thru a community to reach the hotel. Once you have reached the place, you will find yourself amidst such a cosy little place. The hotel’s main cafe is listed on the Michelin Guide and has been there for a few years. They serve not only drinks, but also very good meals. Our group has a set lunch which was scrumptious. The main dish was confit duck in masman sauce with mashed potatoes and carrots. The dessert was also fantastic
